Stayed in Newport for the night in the family suite so my family could get up and go to the beach. The beds and room where very clean. Had a couple capped water lines in the main closet but other than that everything was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And its o a block from the beach so not a bad walk.

Google maps has outdated photos. The place seems to have gotten a facelift so it may be misleading. It is no longer green! This is the first time we stayed at a Comfort Inn and we were impressed! The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. And the Wi-Fi speed was somewhat fast. We'll be staying at a Comfort Inn again in the future.

The bed was as soft as a cloud, and the pillows were perfect. The room was clean, the coffee was good… mini fridge and microwave provided in room. The breakfast is a full breakfast, all you can eat. There are waffles, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, Bacon, Donuts, muffins, English muffins, toast, a huge amount of cereal, huge variety of Brands and types of yogurt, they have even more than I am mentioning, I am just forgetting some. The location is perfect… we will be staying here each time we visit newport. We were on the ground floor, the room above us was extremely noisy, their footsteps echoed in our room… but that was not worth removing a star.

Service was very friendly and accommodating and room was great! Bed was super comfortable, hard to get out of bed in the morning haha… good breakfast too. Would stay again without hesitation.

Newport hotels are on the expensive side and the less expensive are poorly maintained. The Comfort Inn is the exception. Clean, well maintained and a decent rate. Definitely the best of its class.

Tidy and clean. Free breakfast. Bed is comfortable. No isolation between bedroom and the basin area, so a little noisy when one is doing the washing while the other one is asleep. Overall recommended.

Good enough, but if I’m going to stay in a coastal city next time I would choose a place with a view of the ocean.

Clean spacious rooms, nice breakfast. Only thing lacking is access to a pool/hot tub.

Issues with door card deactivation after first night of a three night visit. On the travel website, it said "pets allowed" but, at the hotel, it said "no pets. " Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but frustrating given other issues (not related to the hotel) on top of the card problems and pet issues. We did not have any housekeeping service, as we specifically kept the "do not disturb" signs on the door as we didn't need extra towels or sheets changed daily. As a former hotel maid, I knew this would be appreciate. Just saying.

Clean rooms. Small toilet/shower room, no beach view but only 2 blocks away. Average but REAL continental breakfast with lots of seating. Cookies baked fresh in the afternoons! Only real issue was you can sometimes hear people walk/run.

Good place, Friendly staff, Decent place to stay at coast, close to everything, can walk to Nye beach. Will stay again. Does not have restaurant or pool, but close to those elsewhere.

Lovely place. Does not offer ocean view but it's just about 200 steps away. One has to walk down about 25 steps to touch the beach. Gives an excellent view of the ocean from above. The breakfast is typical American with eggs, sausages, juices, tea/coffee etc. Overall good place to stay for a day or two.

Came here for a week of work and stayed at this hotel. The room was extremely clean, one of the best I've stayed in, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. They had extra toiletries and things on hand, and it wasn't just the cheap stuff that some hotels throw at you when you forget things at home. You are close to the beach (no views unfortunately) but close enough to walk down in less than 2 minutes. There's good food close by, and they even have a nice folder showing you what's near and who delivers. All in all, I would stay here again if I had to. One thing that I didn't like was the breakfast, but I'm not taking a star off for that. There are plenty of other places to go nearby for food that are sure to cater to everyone's taste.

Service is clearly focused on from start to finish they make you feel happy, welcome and comfortable. From the moment we checked in they met us with friendly smiling faces. Fresh cookies are served for later check ins and the breakfast is certainly better than other places. They stocked all items and refilled fast with a good morning and a warm smile. Would definitely stay here again just based on the service alone. That's something that is lost this day and age.

Made a reservation and subsequently cancelled over the phone but received no verification of the cancellation. We then made alternate Comfort Inn reservations are a different location so Comforts Inns received 2 nights revenue from us for one night. The Mgr was totally unwilling to reverse the no show charge for one night. The Mgr was unhelpful and adamant that without the verification of cancellation he would not do anything. I guess customer service is a concept he is unfamiliar with. I have used Comfort Inns often and I will never use this one ever again.

Very pleased, disappointed that there isn't s pool but the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The housekeeping is exceptional, breakfast was great and had a wonderful variety, we loved the hot meal options (eggs, waffles, bacon/sausage patties&links). We stayed in a single king room and still had space for a pack n play.

Highly recommended it was so close walking to beach. Front desk was very friendly and professional as soon as you walked in. The motel room was very clean spotless even. Watching sunset there was gorgeous! For hanging out on the beach with bom fire I recommend this place I will gladly go back.

Our family came to Comfort Inn after beginning our vacation with a problem at another hotel. We called Comfort Inn first, as we have stayed at many other Comfort Inn Suites around the west coast and were hopeful. Ian was working the front desk, found us a room and told us to head that way. Upon arriving, he offered us a family suite which was still cheaper than our prior horrible reservation at another hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff accommodating any requests for extra bedding and towels, and the beds were super comfortable. Considering our options were so limited, this hotel and staff were wonderful! We will continue to trust Comfort Inn and avoid other hotel chains all together.

Great hotel stay! My boyfriend and I vacationed in Newport and chose this hotel. It was SO CLEAN, did not smell weird, and no noises. The breakfast was great — waffles, bacon and eggs, bagels and muffins, yogurt, cereal, you name it. The room was also well-kept and up to date. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Hotel staff was nice. The room was well kept and plenty of toiletries. Got checked in at 11pm and everyone was still friendly.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Enough room for our large group of 11 people.

Clean room, excellent service, friendly staff, personal follow up to my wake up call request and a great location with a fair room rate, make this a choice location. You might not have an ocean view, but that's just a few minutes walk away. I'm staying here again. Pros: Clean room, comfy bed, near beach, free delicious breakfast, complementary cookies in the evening — also delicious, helpful staff, great price Cons: Bathroom was a little small, no DVD player in room or able to be brought up to room Pretty much everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a clean room with nice amenities. It was small but comfortable. The staff was very friendly. My wife called when she realized she had left her jacket and they said they would mail it to our home.

Fantastic hotel and staff reasonably priced and great hot breakfast included with our stay I would definitely recommend this location.

Clean rooms, ESPN, and a decent continental breakfast made for a nice stay. I will certainly be back.

We loved the Hotel. The only thing and it really wasn't a problem but the shower curtain was to short and got the floor all wet. Other than that the stay was great the cookies at night were yummy and the Breakfast was Fantastic and Debra was very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Newport.
