Our family just loved this quaint place to stay! It was simply lovely and most important-Clean! Only a short walk to the beach and close to many beautiful outdoor locations.

We took our first visit to Bandon to celebrate our daughter's 4th birthday and the Windermere was the perfect little place to stay the night. The outside of the hotel is very cute. The inside of our room was very clean and cozy. The view of the beach from our room was gorgeous! We would definitely go back and recommend this hotel to others. Funny enough we did run into some friends in myrtle point on our way home and they tried to book a room there but the occupancy was already full.

Vintage and very well maintained rooms overlooking the beach. So nice to see and hear the surf. Easy access to the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary electric vehicle charger. Range of room sizes for 2-6 people. Some pet-friendly rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

Stayed with My family in the king room with fireplace and balcony and it was heavenly!
We loved falling asleep to the waves and the fireplace was lovely and it was great to have a kitchen too.
The beach is just a short walk away and is absolutely gorgeous!

A beautiful location overlooking the ocean, with beach access. The property is older but well maintained, and it seems that rooms are being updated. I stayed in a family unit with sleeping for six with a kitchenette. They are pet friendly. Come and bring the whole family it’s a great place south of Bandon.

We love this place! Have visited twice and have made it our go to when coming to Bandon! Everything is clean and comfortable, we do a lot of our own cooking, so have a small kitchen you can choose. People are friendly, and is wonderful to bring your pet buddy. Trail is a short walk to beach, and has never been very busy on it? Thanks for everything! Mike & Liz.

Wonderful place to relax and watch the ocean.

This is a cute little quaint place showing a little age but very well-kept. A little further away from the ocean then I wanted, but the view is fantastic anyway. There is a walk down path that leads to the beach. And it’s dog friendly that is a big plus.

We fell in love with the Windermere on the Beach! So peaceful and restful. We didn’t want to leave. It is right on the beach with beautiful views. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Definitely coming back.

This is an old motel. I came here as a child. It has had a bit of a remodel and adequate for our 3 person stay. Stairs are very steep and little so elderly people should not use it. My mom is 81 and for sure she can't go up them. Only one little bathroom on first floor and not many plugins for phones and computers. The view is very good of the ocean. Kitchen is small but good. We used it for coffee and breakfast. We were glad that they finally have direct TV because in the past visits all motels here had terrible TV service. So this is good.

Going here is like taking a time machine back to the 1050-1960's… Imagine a motel, right on the beach, Pacific ocean. Sand as far as the eye can see. It's a sunny day in August, puffy white cotton-ball clouds with a refreshing breeze, yet you can count all the beach combers you'll see on your ten fingers. It's beautiful, uncrowded and rustic, yet anything you'd want is just a 5 minute drive to town. Anything from fine dining, to finest golf, quirky shops and a wildlife safari where you can pet a baby lion, tiger, or a beautiful fox kit. Catch crabs off the dock for the freshest dinner ever. That's Bandon-by-the-Sea, that's Winderemere.

Always a great experience! Friendly staff. Even if the weather is bad the view is always beautiful.

A little bit of nostalgia nestled in between the road and pacific. The perfect place to get away. My 4th time here and rooms are always clean and accommodating. Staff friendly as well. If you're looking for the new Hampton, this isn't it but (in Roseburg by the way) you will be more relaxed here. Has it's own private walkway down to coast. My daughter went on a horseback ride from a horse stable right down street. Come and stay here, you probably will love it like we always do!

Nice path to the beach as the rooms are probably as close as you can get. We've stayed here a couple of times now. The first time we got the room with a deck outside the back door. It also had an upstairs and a completely loaded kitchenette. This time we got the smaller room without the deck and kitchenette, and it was nice. We can still walk around to the back and sit on the provided chairs. This is our place to stay when we're in Bandon.

Very clean place very very which was very nice surprise management great folks great facilities my problem was, every morning that I was there I had do not disturb sign on my door and the maids young girls take it upon their self to knock on your door right at 11 o'clock so my recommendation is as for late check out or give orders in the office did I not come my door I don't think it'll work but when you say do not disturb that means do not knock on my door and the young maids there take it upon their self to try to get you to get out so they can get the rooms clean so they can go home or do whatever they want to do but understand if it wasn't for us they wouldn't have a job so I'd recommend if you want to not be disturbed go somewhere else other than that it's OK only one trail for beach access so if you're on the other end of the motel you have to walk all the way to the other end when there should be multiple trails to the beach if you're gonna have that big of facility if you want to hang out with people in not have much privacy that's definitely the place for you.

I have been staying here since I was a kid and now bring my family here. The cottages are cozy and well maintained. The view is amazing and the beach is just an easy walk away. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. My favorite place to stay at the coast!

Great place for winter stays Bandon. They have half price stays in the winter. Clean showers/bath and bed. Great little kitchens and great views of the ocean.

Wow. This is an amazing little hotel in the southern Oregon coast. We were in one of the 'family' rooms… Pet friendly, kitchen, queen bed, and two twins in the upstairs loft. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was imaaculate. And they managed to get everything we could possibly need into a small kitchen space without it feeling cluttered. The process are reasonable. Oh and the view of the ocean is picture postcard perfect. We will be back!

I stayed at the Windermere the week of thanksgiving and had wonderful time. We had a kitchenette room and fixed breakfast and lunch several times. The sounds of the waves and being so close to the beach was a treat! I will go back every chance I get. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I loved it!

The location gets six stars, but the facilities are three stars. Quaint, clean rooms, but they're old and missing a few key amenities, like a fan in the bathroom. We had a "family" suite, and it came with a kitchen but there weren't many utensils, and there wasn't a grater or colander. Probably could have asked for one from the office, but decided to make do. There was only one small heater for the whole suite, and while it doesn't get cold here very often, it couldn't keep up with keeping the chill out. We had to turn on the oven just to get warm. The view is fantastic and unobstructed, also it's just a short walk down to the beach… maybe 60 yards.

My wife and I stayed for a short visit to celebrate our an anniversary. Our room was clean and had a wonderful ocean view. The path down to the beach was approximately 100 yards. It is very quiet and would highly recommend.

My family has stayed at the Windermere many times over the years. This time the online booking didn't take the correct date I reserved. It booked the day I was making the reservation so at the time I was reserving I was already a no-show and this did not prompt them something was wrong or bother to call me. They charged my card for the cottage, and refused to work with me even though it was their online system that didn't take the correct date. So I don't get my day-away with my mom, but it costed me $155 anyway. The people I talked to were super rude about it and that wasn't necessary at all. They accused me of trying to get away with something! This is my first-ever online review of any business… just so you know I'm not one of those complainers. I'm honest, reasonable and didn't appreciate the lack of professionalism from this obviously starving establishment. I see they get good reviews, but the people behind the beauty there are ugly inside and ooze negative energy so beware!

We were in the suite in room 18 and I think it has the best views of any room at this hotel, and well worth the little extra to stay in it. The most comfy beds there is. We have stayed here several times, and it never disappoints. HIGHLY recommend! Mike (the hosts) were fabulous and very friendly with a smile. Super clean rooms, no stairs to the beach, easy walking on flat ground right up to the ocean. Enjoyed getting our binoculars out and watching the seals out in the surf. Book fairly early to get a room. Its well worth it! f anyone gripes about this place, they were born on another planet. PS: yes, there is pizza delivery but don't order it after 8pm as they stop delivering after 8 on the norm, and the pizza on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being great in taste, is about a 3… so so… :=)

Beautiful views but the big windows don't open and it's very warm in the room without a/c until well after dark. Beds are old, lumpy and squeak with every move but you're paying strictly for the view I guess. Could use some updating all around.

My husband and I stayed for one night as we traveled from San Francisco to Portland OR. The room was nice. Had everything we needed. Ocean view, beach access, fireplace and nice kitchenette. I would recommend this place.

If you are one who enjoys the charm of yesteryear and the convenience of modern life, along with the peace of simplicity that fosters deep connection with both people and our beautiful world, then Windermere on the Beach is the perfect place. We fell in love with our little cottage that looked out onto the ocean, sandy beach, grassy hillocks, and rocky crags. It is truly an iconic Oregon beach front experience. The owners are wonderful, warm and care about their guests and their business. It shows in the care they take of these older cottages. The dwellings retain their original charm but are very clean and comfortable. The owner's pride in Windermere shows in every detail, from the greeting you receive when you pick up your keys, to the beds you crawl into at night. It is a great family setting. They were completely booked when were here but it still felt like we had a piece of heaven all to ourselves.

Perfect for what we were looking for. Small, affordable, ocean front, amazing views, away from anything that distracts. Wonderful beach. Not crowded and exactly what I needed to get away from all. I WILL go back.

Very nice rooms with amazing view of the beach. Fantastic beach access with almost nobody else there. The location is superb for a lazy beach getaway weekend. Staff is very nice and rates are reasonable.

I wish I could give this place 10☆s. Not only are the patrons super welcoming and helpful giving us town secrets, where to eat and what to see, but they also have an amazing property! Beautiful ocean views and direct access to the beach 24/7. Our room was loaded with kitchenette, plates and serveware, fireplace, deck and nice bathroom. This is the only place in bandon that I've stayed and it may be the only place I stay in the future!

We had a great time at this place. I've stayed in the smaller lower level unit and the larger upper level unit. They are both great. Bigger unit had a larger mini fridge, 2 burner cooktop, and a small porch overlooking the beach. Very nice quite place. Short walk to the beach.

Road trip from Victoria BC with an 18 yr old and 14 yr old during spring break to stay here (hubby's golf bucket list), and we all absolutely loved it! Windermere on the beach was all I need — simple and quaint, clean, fantastic location, spectacular views, well managed and cared for. Can't wait to come back, put my feet up on the deck, glass of wine and listen to the roar of the surf — serenity now.

Mike and Valerie were so welcoming to us and our dog! We loved Room 22. The fireplace, the view, the little patio, the beach… It was spic & span clean and the bed comfy. And very reasonably priced. We'll be back with Daisy! She loved it, too!

Lovely accommodation. Great soft bed. Great views of the beach, and beach access. People complain about no restaurant on premises or phone in room but it's a 5 min drive into downtown and what do you need the phone for? You should disconnect and go for a walk down the beach and check out Face Rock!

We had a few great stays here, last time with two families in adjacent cottages. The accommodations are modest but so practical — it works so well for a family vacation to have a cottage with full kitchen, and a patio overlooking the expansive view of the ocean. Definitely recommend.
