Fabulous, clean, rooms with comfortable beds, good sized TV, great location for walking to restaurants and bars, friendly and helpful staff make this a great place to stay. I would totally stay here again! ❤️

It’s an older hotel but the rooms are clean, front desk person was friendly and pleasant. Price was great. I would stay again.

We’re leaving our retro hotel… the bed is brand new and the bathroom remodeled. My only suggestion for this place is to replace the carpet, loveseat & chair.

We thought they were great people. But they double charged us our stay and never reimbursed us. Thank God hotel. Com reimbursed us to keep us as customers. We definitely won't be back to rivershore. Motel. They dont take care of their customers. Robbed us of our money.

Great Customer Service, and clean rooms. Great place to stay if you are fishing. A lot of boat parking. Right off main drag. Check in was fast and efficient. No complaints. Office closes at 10pm but there is a bell to ring if you need to get a key because you locked yours in the room. Lady was nice and had a sense of humor at 3 in the morning. I enjoyed the banter. I will be returning every year during fishing season. I was there for 9 days in the kitchenette. Perfect for extended stays.

Was pretty good, no access but they put fans in the rooms. Checked in early and the lady was really nice. They have all the deets on local stuff and were very helpful. Clean room, toilet was small though so no fatties.

Based on the outside appearance of this motel I was happily surprised at how nice it I inside! It has recently been remodelled simply, without a bunch of bells and whistles, but very nicely. The beds are amazingly comfortable, even more so than some of the nicer hotel chains. I love that the queen suites have an extra "bedroom" rather than just 2 queen beds in the same room or a foldout couch in another. Big TVs in both rooms, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker as well. Bathrooms are small, but not too bad!

My husband and I stayed for two nights. The bed was very comfortable, the refrigerator and microwave worked. The A/C and heating unit worked great. Bathroom well done and clean with good water pressure. The walls were very thing so we kept the A/C unit running as white noise. No iron or ironing board or writing materials overall a great stay. Thank you.

Room had a funky smell. Bed was really comfortable. No continental breakfast. Had I realized that there was no breakfast we would have stayed elsewhere. Loud traffic all night long. Internet only allowed me to connect my cell phone and was off in the morning.

Not bad. Everything was booked in town. This was available and at a goodcrate. Newly remodeled so not bad. It is a motel. But, not bad. If you are on a budget and only need a night or two it is a good option.

Honestly, it wasn’t that bad. But there was a gap in the door, so it was a bit loud and bugs got in (moths and such). But the staff was nice, the room was clean, and it’s a decent location. Safeway down the street and restaurants within walking distance. About 25 minute drive to Long Beach, WA.

We loved the friendliness of the staff, as well as the room! Hubby was initially skeptical since we arrived later and he had not read reviews. When we walked into the room we noticed the large flatscreen TV, nice clean white bedding and the recent remodel which makes the room look great! Bathroom is nice and clean and bright! And a tub that was clean! We are overall very happy with our stay and the ladies at the front desk were fantastic with local recommendations and tips n tricks. Will definitely be back again! And the price! Makes my wallet so happy :)

The staff were friendly. Rates were reasonable. Room was recently renovated and looked nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything was neat and tidy and just as expected. Tv was nice sized. Free Wi-Fi worked well.

The rooms are recently remodeled. They are great. The two queen beds were split into seperate rooms with a divided door and individual televisions. It was great for the price. Right across from the Columbia I was able to watch the boats go by in the morning. Withing walking distance of some neat places in town.

Good location. Can't open windows because there are people walking by every few minutes looking in. Tub drained really slowly which was weird. Sheets and blankets were of the roach motel variety. Very small bathroom.

I love the Astoria Rivershore Motel. Clean, upscale rooms at a great price. Huge TVs, fridge, coffee maker, microwave. The suites are bigger than our apartment in Portland. Good location, walking distance to fast food, gas station, etc. It's quiet here and they have a friendly front desk! This is my fourth time here and I will keep coming back!

Great for just driving up and getting a room for a decent price. Right on 101 so you can hear the traffic but that's to be expected. Rooms were recently remodeled so it was very clean. Veiw of the Columbia and the bridge to Washington… Would stay again.

Recently remodeled. It was nice inside, but slightly loud from facing the road. Definitely not 5 stars, but a good place to stay for relatively cheap. I'd stay again.

We were fortunate enough to get a room on the 4th of July without reservations. The room had recently been remodeled so everything was fresh and clean. The hotel is just a short walk to the water. The price was affordable. Just a short drive to the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park.

A cozy place with a wonderful view. I am sure I will stay in the same hotel in my next visit. We booked for 2 beds, surprisingly we got two room suit for the same amount. A cute kitchen and a lovely view fantastic experience.

Great out of the way place to stay in Astoria. Price is reasonable and the rooms are nice.

We stay here frequently and normally have a good experience. However today we were told we has to be switched to a smaller room because they were over booked. We have four people and were told we had to either get a second room or two people would have to go. Because we'd prepaid for a room that holds four, we asked if they could make an exception. The clerk went to ask the owner, the owner came out and said "The best way to handle this was to refund our money and stay somewhere else". No explanation, no attempt at doing the right thing for the customer. Just played the ego card. Because we frequent this hotel and have our staff stay here anytime we are in town, I was shocked at this response. Unless there is an attempt by the owner to make this right, we will boycott this facility and no longer recommend them to others.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was nice. The pictures don't do it justice. They just remodeled the inside and I love the room. We asked for two queens and got just that and two flat screen TVs as well. The only problem was the slow Wi-Fi. But that can be fixed. We would and will stay there again.

Racist lying jerks. Awful place, awful people, just want your money and will never refund it no matter the issue.

The rooms were clean and updated inside. Nice room for the price! The lady that checked us in was very informative and kind. We also had a nice view of the river and the ships. We would definitely stay here again. :)

Affordable place, big suites that have been renovated by the new owners. They live on the premises, behind the motel. Location is quite close to the waterfront and to the Astoria Megler bridge. They didn't serve complimentary breakfast or any other type of breakfast, but the suite has the a small kitchenette that is stocked with utensils and can be used to cook. In general, it was comfortable and clean.

My key card wouldn't work when I came back to my hotel at night. I didn't get someone to let me in my room until 4 in the morning. I asked for a late check out since I didn't get to go to bed until 5am. The manger at night looked at me like I was an idiot and said "well, I'm letting you in now"… ya in the morning the point was to stay the night. He said I could latest do 12:30. At exactly noon they were calling my room to check out. Not even 12:01 and I was walking out with my bags at exactly noon. I told the manager in the morning I thought this was all handled unprofessionally. Just an "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. The manager had zero customer service skills. Her employee who worked the front desk was the only one who was super sweet and apologized on behalf of the hotel. Not even the manager. They did let me check in without my ID since I forgot it. I did a $100 deposit. The manager used that against me and said they let me check in without my ID so they already bent the rules for me. Two completely separate things! All I wanted was a couple of hours to get more sleep after not being able to get in until the morning when I had to work the next day. I wasn't asking for my money back. Feel like that could have been the least they could do. And if not… could have been polite and empathetic. Also be warned there is a parking spot you will get towed from but there is no sign that says not to park there at all.

The worst motel experience in my life. Don't stay here. $125 for dirty crusty awful room. Nice couple that runs it and I feel bad, but we didn't want to spend ONE minute there let alone take a shower. The photos make it look decent, but it is not. We stayed on the right side. Maybe the other side is better? Horrible packaged sugar type rolls for "breakfast". Ruined our weekend.

Althought the beds weren't in the best shape, the place is in an excellent location and a great value. Everything was clean, too! I would definitely recommend this to someone that is in town for the weekend.

Convenient location for the event we were attending (Seafood and Wine Festival) but otherwise not a great place to stay. Our room was clean enough but the comforter had stains as did the walls. Due to the festival crowds we could only get a smoking room which meant the room reeked of cigarettes (which we were prepared for) but there was no room ventilation like a fan or AC so we couldn't get any fresh air in the room.

Stayed overnight at the Rivershore Motel on March 22nd for one night and check out on March 23rd. The occupants were myself, my Mother and my 2 1/2 year old daughter. I requested a non smoking room due to the fact that my daughter has severe asthma and cannot be in a room with smoke. There were smoking rooms available if we would have wanted to stay in a non smoking room. The room was 55.00 including tax, we used a coupon from a motel/hotel booklet. We were excited to visit Astoria as it has had good reviews. Unfortunately, the Rivershore motel charged an extra 200.00 charge to my Visa card without my knowledge. They stated that we smoked in the bathroom. I asked to speak to a manager and the gal that answered the phone at front desk said "there is no manager available". I told the lady that answered that there has to be a manager at the facility she said there was not one. I asked to have a manager call me in regards to the 200.00 charge and still have not received a call back. I told the lady that answered the phone that we did not smoke in our room and that if they pulled their video coverage from their cameras you can clearly see we walked outside several times to smoke due to the fact that my 2 1/2 year old daughter cannot be around cigarette smoke in rooms/furniture. I have reported this issue to the Astoria police department as well as my bank to complete further investigation.

Excellent place to stay, clean and comforable, conveniently located for a get-a-way or fishing trip if you don't need a 5 star motel/hotel. I packed a simple cooler using their microwave and small fridge, even had a continental breakfast provided by the friendly office staff. Rivershore motel did not disappoint, the only drawback would be road noice during the day, but that could be anywhere.

For the price, this was an excellent choice. First of all, this place was ~$75/night. Do not expect the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton. Seriously. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She even let us see the rooms first and pick the one we liked the most. The rooms were more than adequate and seemed reasonably clean. My only complaint about our stay was the road noise, but there really isn't anything they could reasonably do about that. To be perfectly honest about the negative reviews. When you're on a trip, the only thing a hotel/motel is for should be a secure place to store some of your things, and a reasonably clean place to sleep. If you're spending that much time in your hotel room and watching TV. You're traveling wrong.

Bed has so many lumps and bumps that sleeping on the floor would probably be more comfortable. The black mold growing above the sink adds a nice touch too.

There are two separate ends of the motel, the old one and the newer one. I stayed in the old one. It was not worth the money I payed. The TV was old and broken and they wouldn't do anything about it. There isn't enough parking spaces and I had to park a ways away from my room. The bathroom was moldy and the toilet moved when it was sat on. The beds were not too bad and sheets seemed clean, but the room smelled dirty. Never staying there again.

After reading the Reviews and Staying here March 2015, I can Say that I was very surprised by the kitchen and cleanliness of our room. However I do have to agree with a few previous reviews, The price for off season was rather high for the quality of the rooms, I think they spend far to much on the kitchen unit and no where near enough on the mattresses. My Wife and I pondered whether the floor was more comfortable then the beds (It wasn't but just barely). The only thing keeping me from marking three stars is the cleanliness and the Kitchen. Tl:DR: Bring a Foam Topper, You'll be Thankful you did.

I stayed here for 2 great nights March 27 and 28, 2015. Quiet, clean and pretty much the typical, decent and generic motel. Maid was friendly and smiled and the front desk people I met were cool. Couldn't ask for better, though their off-season price is too high for a cheaper motel. The motel is a short walk to the Visitor's Center and Pig n' Pancake which serves excellent fare. In the evening I dined at the much pricier wharf-side restaurants and the service was snotty and food barely average with extremely small portions (not even a roll or side veggies! ), though this time I didn't have to ask for water. I still like Astoria, though much oif its business base has flown the coop and things are s-l-o-w. Good, clean and simple the way I like a motel:).

This place is a dingy, smelly, last resort place to stay. The front desk people have no idea what customer service means. They are rude and don't care at all about their customers or about any sense of cleanliness or sanitary conditions. If you want to feel disgusting and used, be my guest, otherwise, DO NOT STAY HERE.

I stayed there on july 3rd. It was the worst place I have ever been. I was forced to take a room there because all the good hotels were sold out. The experience was awfull. I am always do my due diligance when checking into a motel. First the bed. It was NOT clean. Pulled the sheets back and what looked like pubic hair was under the pellow. Aslo the sheets were dingy. The whole motel smelled awfull. The toilet was still dirty. There was a leak of watter somewhere? not sure of the sorce. There was still food on the floor, along with a dead roach. All of this was seen in about 5-10 min. We went to the clerck and was met with an even ulgyler attitude from clerck. She refused to give us a diffrient room. Insted she gave us just the fitted sheet and one flat sheet. That was her sulition. We had to throw the nasty sheets and blanket on the floor. Luckly we had sleeping bags in the car becauser we go camping now and then. I will never return to this hotel. We aslo woke up to a live spider in the bed. This is the worst motel in astoria. Reminded me of a crack motel where you pay by the hour. Hopefuly we did not get bed bugs although would not be suprised. That place needs to be destroyed.

I stayed at this hotel and there's a huge ant fest in the kitchen are. And the roomkeepee did not pay attention. To our room when I got back it looked like nothing had been done and they clerk was really rude not staying there again for sure.

Cheap, fridge and a microwave. What else do you need when you vacation at the coast.

The stay was ok at best but did the trick for the price. Internet was only local connect. The 2 nights we were there we were unable to connect to the internet with either the laptop or smart phone. I had to turn off wireless connect because my phone would eat the battery down in less than 3 hours while trying to connect to it. I complained about it on several occasions to the male and female persons at the front desk to no avail. The room was adequate to our needs but the bed was ancient and not very comfortable. The bathroom was scary small. Room to use the toilet and turn around but nearly had to step into the tub to open or close the door. Wont' be back to this hotel any time soon.

The room was ok and would have been fine if the front desk wasn't so very rude. We were here for a special walk across the Astoria Bridge and the person behind the desk would not let us check out a little late so we could come back and take a shower after the walk. Her response was: "Well I have already let a lot of people check out late and I just can't let any more". Great, guess we won't be coming back any time soon, either.

We stayed at the Astoria Rivershore on 6 May 08 and I was very pleased with the rooms and the price. It was very clean, close to downtown and right on Hwy 101. It had a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator and that was more than the more expensive Comfort Inn we had stayed at the night before, had. The Continental Breakfast was typical, nothing exciting.
