We stayed here for 2 weeks, * A/C is a window rattler type = VERY noisy and hard to sleep * VERY low ceilings (roughly 2.2m) painted bright blue with fish on it! * Please think twice about staying here people, there are far nicer places you can stay for much cheaper. + The Phillipino staff are lovely.

Rooms have everything you need for a reasonable price. Great if you don't care about extra amenities like pool and lounge. Walking distance to beach!

Great location. Hotel has everything (except a pool) that you need for your vacation. Safeway and several other grocery stores are nearby so u can cook in your room. Comes w all the tools/equipment. Most of the people at the front desk we're very helpful. They even offer to let u borrow their beach equipment. Great place to stay. We stayed a week and wanted for nothing. The beach is less than a mile away so forget needing a pool!

Not a bad spot for it's location. There is not central air, but you do have a full kitchenette which is pretty handy. I like the security of needing a key card to access the rooms. I would recommend to someone visiting.

What a wonderful little spot! I love the kitchen as I still cook meals on vacation and the staff even does the dishes for you! Only giving a 4 Star because the parking rate is pricey.

Nice hotel with kitchen and at walking distance from Waikiki beach only problem is parking space.

Great convenient location alongside the canal in Waikiki. Clean and comfortable suit and friendly staff. Don't forget to bring your earplugs.

The location is great, close to everything. There is a kitchen in the room and two additional beds for kids. The only one thing, that at night Waikiki is very noisy.

Even though we booked a stay in the hotel, they put us in the annex which two blocks away from the hotel itself. Not so nice if you have to carry the bags over again for another 300m. The ladies at the reception were very nice and helpfull, one of them even went with us all the way down to the annex to show us where it is. The annex is an old, somewhat dodgy looking apartament building from (I guess) the 50s. At first it doesnt make a good impression, especially the lift which is old, very dirty and smelly. To access the building you need a hotel card for the lift so no strange individuals around — the entire building belongs to the hotel. In fact, you don't get a room but a huge one bedroom apartament with a big balcony, fully equiped kitchen, bath, flatscreen TV etc, air condition, etc. Much better than a plain hotel room if you ask me. The rooms are dated, the design is a weird japanese style, but very very clean and really functional. The beds were new and quite comfy. The stove in the kitchen is a museum piece from the 50s but works perfectly and I kinda loved that thing :) It takes a few hours to get used to the apartament especially if you have expected a regular hotel room but I have to say that I really enjoyed the apartament, especially the balcony at night from which you get a nice partial view over the canal and the hills. I would prefer the annex to the hotel itself anytime!

Staff was so warm & friendly. Rooms are nice size with small kitchenette & small bathroom. No pool was the only disappointment but they actually told us when we booked it so we already knew.

Economical, friendly helpful staff, good housekeeping, secure but no sense of concern by myself with the neighborhood. 10-15 minute pleasant walk to beach. We hope to be back.

We did not stay here. I selected this in a price comparison list at $70 a night but when I. Clicked to reserve it they added $30 more PER night in fees (before tax), which they called "resort fees" as if they were a resort. I called within minutes of clicking to book online and said I did not want to book at the higher price but they would not let me cancel due to price change and said it was my fault for using booking com. Booking said it was up to. The hotel. I finally had to cancel through bookings link where they said they would charge me $500 to. Cancel. In fact, they charged me about $120 upon booking first then tried to charge $600 more upon cancellation. This is not a business with integrity. Any decent management would have allowed a correction minutes after. Clicking a button. That is not. Cancelling a reservation, its. Correcting a misunderstanding, if not a deception. So be careful. After we got to. Waikiki, we checked its location. Its on the last street that could be. Considered Waikiki, on a busy road by the canal. Not a bad location but too far. To carry a longboard to the beach and out of the active area yet as noisy or more. We were happier staying at a hostel closer. To the beach, though not as nice perhaps, more beach access and better people. Depends on what you are going for but as a surfer, its a bit too far, besides being mean-spirited/greedy in my experience. Ymmv…

Best Bang for the buck in Waikiki I'm surprised more locals don't stay here I'm local and although this is my 1st time here I'd definitely come back here.

Bang for the buck it's the best place in Waikiki. Units with a kitchenette come with a refrigerator freezer stove oven toaster coffee maker rice cooker pots pans dishes cups knives cutting board dish soap and sponge free at front desk. Great housekeeping big important tip if you have a rental car Reserve parking. Location location location walking distance down to the main drag cohea and Ala Moana Boulevard action and both directions bus line Starbucks, but for groceries to cook go to a supermarket Waikiki rates in effect. Laundromat facilities free newspaper morning coffee, sometimes juice free check out the website.

I dropped off a friend. It was great. The king size room had a nice sized kitchen tell and huge bathroom. Good location on ala wai, free internet. I was really impressed and will have relatives stay there when in town.

Great location and great price.

Its in a nice area, the rooms are clean but the beds are hard and there is no central AC, the service is good.

A pokestop is on top the hotel. A great view of the small river I took a view walks along it. Conveniently off Ala Wai. Uber's never had trouble picking us up and dropping us off. Our room had a sink leak and we told the management about the problem and we got upgraded to a better room with more beds and space for free without hesitation. Other than this hotel not having a pool it was really affordable and I went to beach numerous times instead. Unless your going to get that huge skyscraper hotel that's right on Waikiki beach, then I would recommend Holiday Surf if your gonna be outside most the time in Hawaii.

Hotel is an awesome location for the price, staff were very friendly and helpful. Cost of on-site parking is high but not sure how this compares with other waikiki hotels. Only glitchs were that the kitchenette didn't have washing up liquid, this was chargeable extra that should be inculded and the room did not have a safe. We had a great stay :)

I didn't stay this hotel. I'm trying to book in my 4 nights here. I don't care what anybody else said about this hotel. All I want just relax and enjoy my trip. Mahalo.

We're local people that needed a staycation and chose this place. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and I loved looking at the ceiling with the blue sky and clouds, what a nice surprise. I would recommend this place and when we do another staycation, we'll be back here.

This was terrible. The service was brutal and the people working the desk were not willing to compensate us for dirty rooms and gross bedsheets.

This was a terrible experience — — from our shower getting clogged to our washroom stained with poop, it was not a good experience. Do not stay here.

The company can have a cheap rest.

Thank you again for making our day so special. Everything was perfect! The service and our room we stayed in was excellent. We could not have had a better evening and the sunset certainly was beyond our expectation. We will definitely be back here as it is our favorite.
