Our first time here. Beautiful. Room is immaculate and very quiet. Can’t wait to have breakfast in the morning. We know it’ll be delicious. LOVE the little shared snack area right outside our room on the landing.
Even in the midst of Covid we were worry free as everything was spotless!

C. W. Worth House was a welcome respite from all cares of the world! Margi and Doug were wonderful hosts. The rooms and home are beautiful, breakfast fantastic and hospitality second to none. We even enjoyed the spacious front porch and parlor for games with our college aged children. Great location with parking to easily walk downtown or drive to beach. Can't wait to stay again!

Doug and Margi welcomed us into the house when we got there. We were amazed at how beautiful the place was in person. Margi told us several places we could visit to make our stay and sightseeing more enjoyable. Our room was phenomenal with a king size bed and jacuzzi tub. It was so clean and felt like home. We will def be back.

Margi & Doug were wonderful. Their house is excellent condition and they have thought about every little detail. Breakfast was out of this world. It was quiet and walking distance to everything downtown. 30mins or less to Wrightsville and Carolina beaches. Would definitely recommend or stay again!

This is such a beautiful house. The owner are so attentive to everyone's needs. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The Worth house is blocks from downtown Historic Wilmington. The walk is glorious or you can drive just minutes away. You can't stay in a more beautiful home away from home.

Our home away from home This was my partner’s and I fifth year staying here, it’s like our second home! The Worth House bed and breakfast is an excellent place to come and unwind, the furnishing are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. Doug and Margi are excellent host they make you feel right at home providing you with any information about the Wilmington area. The Worth House is within walking distance to the River Walk and many of the areas restaurants and entertainment. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days and it was great! The keepers are amazing. The home is beautiful, well kept, spacious, and great location. We still talk about the upside down cake and quiche we had for breakfast. Perfect stay for a family or just a get away.

Our company stay at the C. W. Worth House was amazing! The team was able to recharge and get work done while being close to downtown. The beds we're super comfy and the breakfast was amazing! Definitely ask for the banana pecan upsidedown pancake because that was incredible! The location was awesome, 15 minute drive to the beach and a short walk to downtown. Dinner was really easy to find and a couple places were open late on the Riverwalk. We also took two tours reccomended by the innkeepers which were both informative and entertaining.

Wonderful house, hosts, room… Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Looking forward to another stay and would recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful Inn & Sweet Inn Keepers, however quite possibly the hottest place I've ever stayed even after complaining about the AC!

Margie and Doug are very hospitable! Helpful with information regarding events and restaurants in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts… chef quality. Highly recommend this B&B in Historic Wilmington. Near the Riverwalk, shops, and eateries.

There are not enough words to express how pleased and happy we were with our stay at the Worth house. Margi and Doug made our wedding there an absolute dream. They took care of all the details and went over and beyond what we could have ever expected. Our wedding cake from a local bakery was phenomenal, and they were sweet enough to pack the leftover cake for us. The flowers were amazingly beautiful! They are the true definition of hospitality! They made us feel like family. Breakfast was a treat every morning. Fresh fruit, homemade muffins, and quality coffee greeted us each morning. The first morning we had a upside down banana pancake that was truly a delight. The second morning we had homemade quiche that is the best I’ve ever eaten. The B&B is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. Margi and Doug took time to inform of us local events and places of interest. The river front is a very short walk. We will definitely be back and recommend them to our friends visiting Wilmington.

Beautiful house in the Historic District. Wonderful, kind hosts (Doug and Margi, plus Simon their Siamese). Walking distance to everything in downtown Wilmington — food, music, shopping.

I had a great stay here. Beutiful house, very welcoming, and amazing food! Perfect location, right by downtown. The owners are very knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction of any tours downtown or activities to do near by.

My husband and I decided to visit Wilmington for our 3 year anniversary. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast, so we decided to try it. I am so glad we did. We couldn't have been more pleased with the C. W. Worth House! The home is beautiful, and Margi and Doug made us feel at home. The Hibiscus Room was very comfortable and decorated beautifully. We slept great and woke up to a gourmet breakfast each morning. We also enjoyed the location. It was a nice walk down to the River and Front St area where all of the restaurants are. I would love to go back and make this a tradition.

We had an awesome experience! Margi and Doug were so gracious and you can tell they take tremendous pride in their B&B. It's the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The breakfast was amazing, You owe it to yourself to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

We just spent 2 nights here and it was the fantastic! Doug and Margi are the perfect hosts! The room was beautiful, cozy, comfortable and everything and more than we hoped for. The food was amazing! We will definitely be going back again.

We could not have been more satisfied with our stay at the C. W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast! Margi and Doug went above and beyond our expectations to make our first anniversary special and memorable. The multi-course breakfast was absolutely perfect, and the dining room conversation with other guests was equally enjoyable. We stayed in the Hibiscus Room, which included an antique queen bed with a memory foam mattress, a two-person whirlpool, and a table for two recessed in the corner turret of the beautiful Victorian home. The home is a short walk from Wilmington's vibrant downtown, where we enjoyed museums, delicious food and drink, shopping, and a scenic cruise on the Cape Fear River. On Sundays, don't forget to check out the Historic Downtown Wilmington Marketplace at Waterfront Park on S. Water St. Between Market St. And Princess St. You'll find quality vendors and live music sponsored by the City of Wilmington. We cannot thank Margi and Doug enough for making our stay special. We plan to return to the C. W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast for many years to come. Don't forget to purchase commemorative C. W. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's within easy walking distance of everything downtown Wilmington to has to offer. We plan on returning to stay here and trying out the different rooms. The people in charge are very friendly and helpful.

Excellent place to stay. The owners are very nice people and the place is very cozy and clean. The breakfast is amazing, counting with fresh fruits, juice, and muffins. A real especial thing in the breakfast is the Banana-Pecan Upside-Down Pancake. It is a really delicious recipe. The coffee is also good, which for me is very important (coffee for people who really appreciate coffee).

We were treated to a Sunday brunch at C. W. Worth House in late February. Our experience was nothing short of amazing! Margi & Doug love their job and are some of the most gracious and hospitable people I've had the chance to meet since moving to the city. Our brunch menu was oh so delicious! From the toast to begin the meal through the banana pancake upside down cake it was an incredible delight to enjoy the various food offerings. Margi and Doug were quick to keep our glasses filled with water, juice, and coffee, however they never once made us feel rushed or hurried to complete one dish before moving on to the next. Lastly, we enjoyed a brief history and tour of the C. W. Worth House. For all that the house has been, and been through, I'm grateful that it is in the more than capable hands of Margi and Doug to provide a world class experience to those who visit our city. We are already looking forward to booking a room for a "staycation" sometime in the near future.

Excellent experience overall. The several rooms in the house are clean and well maintained. Breakfast here is great and they are responsive to diet considerations. The hosts are polite and typically pleasant to talk with. I wouldn't recommend trying to bring a group here. While you may get the hosts to allow it, one of them may grumble about it your entire stay. They seem to prefer parties no larger than two, which certainly makes sense.

The B&B owners, Margi and Doug, were gracious hosts who were every accommodating. It’s located in the historical district/residential neighborhood within walking distance to downtown, restaurants and the riverfront. The bedroom, with a fireplace, was spacious and comfortable. My only regret was not being able to use the nicely landscaped courtyard due to the seasonal weather. Be sure to sample the delicious homemade muffins for breakfast. Highly recommend staying at this B&B to experience true Wilmington hospitality.

The Worth house is a hidden gem in historical Wilmington nc. The house was once the capital and then a boardind house now its a quaint bed and breakfast. We decided this year we wanted to take a staycation in our own town for new years eve. I own a limousine and vintage car service and had been invited to place one of my vehicles into a local brewery within walking distance to the house for new years. From first contact Doug and Margi were exceptional hosts. They helped carry our bags to our suite and checked on us and made us feel like family during our stay. We were invited down stairs to sit and chat and enjoy a glass of champagne and snacks. They are a wealth of local knowledge. The house is immaculately taken care of and decorated I enjoyed walking thru the rooms looking at the bits of history and antiques. The rooms are well apointed and every detail is thought of from complementary snacks and drinks to soft comfy linens and towls. The breakfast is hand prepared with the freashest ingredients. Fresh fruit and amazing coffee. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying here again.

This was our first experience at a B&B and it was delightful! The house is beautiful and inviting and Margi and Doug treat everyone like family. From soaking in the clawfoot tub to strolling through their gardens, you can't help but leave relaxed and refreshed. Absolutely wonderful!

My fiance and I stayed here over this past weekend for our 3 year anniversary and it was by far amazing. The house was so clean and decorated beautifully, the owners were so friendly and helpful and made the most amazing breakfasts each morning. We went here for our one year anniversary and my wife and I had an amazing time at the C. W. Worth House. Despite us arriving a little past our check-in time, the innkeepers were extremely nice and even offered us two glasses of wine for free! The room was great as well and very clean. Breakfast in the morning was very good and you could tell them put time into cooking it. I would highly recommend this place for the next stay in Willmington!

We stayed at the C. W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast on Valentine’s weekend 2015. After securing reservations there I began my Google search of the area to arrange the best ever Valentine’s weekend for my significant other. As I would decide on places that I thought would provide the best dining experience I would email our hostess Margi and she immediately made our reservations. I interacted with her and Doug for about two weeks before our arrival and even though I thought I might be pestering them, they did not seem to mind. We were supposed to arrive in Wilmington around 8 o’clock and they had also arranged for our late arrival. However, things went well that Friday and we arrived around 6:30pm. Our host Doug literally ran to greet us as we rang the doorbell. Margi and Doug are literally the personification of the much used cliché “Southern Hospitality”. We reserved the Azalea Room and it was so beautiful. It is within the turret on the second floor and that side of the room has circular walls with four big windows overlooking 3rd Street. Our hosts had even placed an extra heater in our room because they thought the windows might let in too much air. It was nice and toasty in there as we entered, but since we are used to the mountains we didn’t need the extra heat. Our stay was sensational to say the least. We had all of the amenities that anyone could want right there in our room or just outside the door. Our hosts were very accommodating at every turn.

Margi and Doug were fantastic hosts. We loved our time at the CW Worth House. We would definitely recommend staying with them if anyone is visiting Wilmington. We would warn you that you might need bigger clothes. Breakfast is huge and amazing!
