A friend of my mother came to the hotel asking about a room for a person in a wheelchair. She was assured they had a bedroom w a large bathroom just for handicap people. LIE! They have one bathroom w a handicap toilet. The bed came to my stomach and I have long legs. The bathtub came about 2” above my knees. The room was for my mother who is 100% wheelchair bound and shorter then me? How can a handicap person get into a bathtub and in a tall bed. I couldn’t even get on the bed w o first bending a knee and hopping/jump on the bed. It comes right above my butt.
The staff — RUDE! I had just driven in rain for hours to get my mother to the hotel and I was in no mood for nastiness! 100+% nasty and rude. When I told him, he said he didn’t care. When I said I’m going to leave this place a nasty review just based on your attitude — he said go ahead he didn’t care. When I wheelchaired my mother back down to tell him that my mother could not get into the bed it was too high. His attitude was oh well that’s the height of all of our beds. No helpfulness — nothing! Then my mother got mad, she was tired and in a lot of pain. She was looking forward to this large fantastic handicap bathroom. He finally said there was a room w a pull out sofa. That thing was so thin, it was by the stairs and a back door. All night people running up and down, in and out, slamming the door.
Then the bathtub was filthy — felt gritty and I wondered if it was the design or dirt. I rubbed my finger over it and little brown beads showed up so I looked at the tub faucet — dirt, dust, even found a dark hair and I’m a blond! Disgusting place to stay. This place is NOT for handicap people and was totally misrepresented to moms friend, who came in person inquiring. You can see the bed is higher then the nightstand.
