Super clean, excellent staff. Awesome continental breakfast!

Excellent hotel. We arrived before check in and they said we could go ahead and do so. We have a very clean, 1st floor room, great breakfast selection and very kind employees. We are currently on our 2nd night of a 5 night stay and are enjoying this hotel.

Rooms very clean and spacious. Reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was delicious.

Rooms are a nice size. Place is clean with nice amenities. Close to all conveniences. Pool is not too big, but nice when there aren't 10 kids jumping around. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is the biggest plus.

The facility is pretty worn out. Air conditioning didn't work. Beds worn out, stiff and creaky. Staff was attentive but not much to work with.

Very friendly on Wednesdays they give you free food and wine not anything big this week was taco they have board games to use. And oak island is an amazing place to visit!

Always had plenty of towels, ICE available on every floor, staff awesome at anytime THEY MEET or greeted you. VERY helpful with advice to finding anything in the area. Thanks for everything.

Hotel is great. Beds are comfy, blankets are warm, and they have cookies! Down side, if staying long term, they have no on site laundry, and the Wi-Fi kicks off very 24 hrs, or sometime in the evening sometimes for no reason…

My family enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Italian restaurant across the parkng lot had good food at a nice range of prices.

Hotel is ok but old and not overly nice. Refrigerator was making so much noise I couldn't go to sleep (I'm a heavy sleeper) so I had to unplug it. Heater was also quite noisy. Ok spot to stay but not a place I'd be looking forward to coming back to.

Stayed for 14 nights, cut short due to govt shutdown. Great people, great service, just awesome. Will stay there again. Dont forget cigar shop across the parking lot.

We've stayed here every time we visit Southport. The hotel is always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. On my first visit they suggested a restaurant for us and made the reservation. We still go there! Mr P's Bistro!

Stayed here for one night on a girls weekend away! It was clean and the customer service was great. It was nice that they had a wide variety of breakfast items. Honestly, I really do not have anything bad to say. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Typical Hampton breakfast, makes for a good snack til you can get to a restaraunt. Comfortable beds. Clean pool to sit by with our coffee. Pleasant employees.

I'd never stayed at a Hampton Inn before and was very pleasantly surprised. It is a very well kept hotel, updated with a top notch staff. The pool while small, is very well taken care of and Sonia the small gym area. Their morning breakfast is better than most places that are along the same price point. I may even go so far as to say it's he best (in that category) that I've had. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are a good size. We stayed in a room with 2 Queens and everything looked very nice. And we'll maintained. The location is awesome and close to pretty much anything you'd want. Within 10 minutes. It's right across the street from a killer brewery and there are various options for food from a about 30 seconds away to 10 minutes.

Nice hotel, friendly employees, rooms are clean, but walls are thin, beds are small. But overall a good place to visit.

Everything was great. The front desk staff. The room. Clean comfortable would definitely go there again. The breakfast was very robust and included eggs bacon waffles and variety of baked goods cereal milk juice and fruit.

Clean and comfortable bedding, attentive staff, and they had availability over 4th of July holiday and did not jack the rates up. Great location: so close to Oak Island, downtown Southport, and the Tap Room across the street. Clean pool area. Just wish they had more than one elevator.

The Hampton Inn in Southport was a very nice place. The accommodations were fantastic! The breakfast every day was very good. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions in a timely manner. The pool and spa area was also lovely. The parking lot had plenty of space for all of the guests. There were many shops and restaurants within close proximity to the hotel. The linens we're very nice and soft. Room service always kept the room tidy and well stocked. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Breakfast is good but the eggs could be better. The facilities and staff are very nice.

This is the best inn in Southport. The breakfast has a lot to offer. The bed is good. My only gripe is the pillows. They are small and offer little support. The service was excellent and they gave me 2 feather pillows, which were a little better. The location is an easy drive to the beach or Southport downtown area. Possible to walk to downtown but I would not attempt to walk to the beach from here.

A unplanned trip, we arrived on a whim! Literally decided to do this trip two days before booking. From Cameron, NC and had 2 days off in a row so I asked my cousin if we could get away. Initially we picked the mountains but decided on a beach trip. Originally it was Holden Beach but because we stayed at the Hampton Inn we decided to go Oak Island which is only about 10 minutes from the hotel. Got to see beautiful rental homes, the lighthouse, Fort Caswell which is private but they'll let you drive through for about 20 minutes. Ending the evening eating at The Provision Company… in which thank you to Justin who was manning the front desk. We said we wanted seafood and he took the time to pull out a map and show exactly where to go. Thank you Justin! Cute Coffee Cups:) Comfy Beds, overall just a GREAT GETAWAY for just picking up and getting away ON A WHIM!

Had a few issues with our room and the sticky note left on the bed altered by a former guest with some very nasty comments. Notified guest services and was moved to a different room where then our TV did not work properly, maintenance was notified and was up promptly to fix the issue. Those issues are the only reason I didn't give 4 stars but those issues were promptly taken care of and we will gladly remain loyal customers of Hampton Inn.

Room was nice. Didn't have great food but there's a nice Italian place across the street.

I stay here every time I have to come to town on business. Staff is always friendly and rooms are always clean.

Upon check in I explained I had a long drive and if the front desk would be so kind as to offer a coke so I wouldn't have to go back out. She then launched into a detail explanation of the point system as I am merely a silver member. I then explained that I didn't ask for the coke to be free but I assure you my silver status was in spite of receptionist like herself. Please add the 2.00 coke to my room and go back to sitting in the corner instead of greeting the guests as they come in. What a waste of a great opportunity to be kind on her part. The kind thing to do was to get the beverage and then just ask, share I add this to room? not do your best to make the guest feel inferior, she picked the wrong guest.

We have stayed at many Hampton Inns before, but this one had the best customer service by far. Each worker we encountered was friendly, service-oriented and kind. They went above and beyond to make sure our family had an enjoyable stay. I don't usually leave reviews anywhere, but wanted to make sure this hotel received an excellent rating.

Really great stay. Was here for a business trip and it couldn't have gone better. Room had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. Staff was very courteous. Breakfast had a great variety. Didn't use the pool, but looked good. Workout facility was decent. Italian place across the parking lot had great food. Would stay here again.

I stayed here 12 years ago and will stay here again in 12 years. Always great service, clean and quiet rooms.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was full but very quiet for a Saturday night. The breakfast was fresh with lots of options and the beds were comfortable.

Great update. All new bedding. Down everything. Only thing they should offer a better break fest.

We stayed for 10 days and do not have one complaint. The entire staff treated us as though we were not only important but genuinely liked. The entire facility, the parking lot, the pool, the breakfast area, the lobby, the business center, the halls, the elevator, and, of course, the rooms were immaculate. We hated to leave.
