I came to check in tonight. The man at the front desk who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude and would not even try to be helpful. I asked him his name and said he did not have one and it was not my business. I tried to show him my reservation on my phone and he would not even look at it. He pulled out his phone and recorded me instead. I was very respect and never raised my voice. I have never ever had someone act so rude to me.

Yall this place is disgusting! not sanitary at all! upon checking in we came in and took a shower. I noticed the towels hadn't been replaced and was limited. Went to wash my 6 year old daughter's face and there was makeup on the rag from someone else. Then she goes to sit on the bed to get dressed and there is a huge CUM stain on the bed. I freak out. There is NO MANANGEMT on duty! this is like 3 in the afternoon. They send this maintenance guy up to change the sheets and bring towels. We leave for a few hours and come back. I go to unpack my suit case and open the drawer and there is a dead roach! then my daughter screams and kills a live one! during the course of all this and the screaming of bugs I spill alittle water on the floor and throw a towel on it to cleanup… the towel comes up BLACK! and let's not mention there was no deadbolt on the door. I was in room 349. I was re-fund my money then I look at my bank account and there is not 1 BUT 3 authorizing charges. Let's hope all my money comes through in the next days. Do not book here. Its so nasty. I cant believe that even during covid hotels like this are still in operation!

Had the absolutely WORST experience at this Econo Lodge! I have never EVER experienced such vulgar & disgusting customer service as I did last night while trying to check in. Booked online months ago while agreeing to a $75 hold (of course) but had the full amount of my room charged as my “hold” because the system isn’t able to do $75 holds according to the desk clerk who was wearing Mickey Mouse pajama pants. I was never contacted about this from the hotel. As I got to the hotel and explained the whole room amount was charged to the foreign man at the counter I was immediately argued with that he had no charge from me and it was not his problem because there was nothing he could do. I was traveling from out of state with three kids and just drive 12 hours to get to that hotel. He asked to charge me a third time after attempting a second time and AGAIN being told the payment didn’t go through? Contacted my bank and had it verified that the money was INDEED TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT TWICE. While I was explaining this the CSM at the counter decided to pick up a phone while I was mid sentence then moved onto helping another man that was previously being helped by another employee (that employee randomly left his customer to go outside and get in a mini van then proceeded to leave and not come back). When I asked the CSM to finish servicing me as it was 1AM and my babies and I were tired after that long drive, he began to argue with me.

This asks me what I didn't like. There were cockroaches in our room, the AC barely cooled the room off so we were burning up the entire time we were in the room. We woke up with horrible back aches from how uncomfortable the beds were. The floor was so filthy it left our feet black just from walking from the shower to the bed. We were excited to use the pool and cool off since our room was so hot and when we got to it, it was completely filthy and murky looking, so we did not go in. In the morning after barely being able to sleep all night from the terrible beds, we began packing our belongings up and there was a knock at the door, it was only 10:25, with checkout being 11:00. As soon as the housekeeper knocked she attempted to use her key to enter the room. She did not even give us time to answer the door that I was literally standing next to as she knocked! Please future vacationers or guest, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! No matter what savings you may think you're getting. You will regret it! Spring for an extra $15-20 to have a decent room. Because I never complain and I usually just go with the flow if a room isn't exactly what I expected, but THIS, THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE IN ITSELF! I'm so worried because of this place that we may have brought cockroaches home with us!

I would not stay here again. People are rude. The rooms were filthy. Stained sheets, mold, shower was nasty and had hair all over it. Barely any water pressure and toilet would hardly flush. Cracks in ceiling. Had to unplug the fridge because it sounded like it was going to blow up. The room smelled awful. I asked for towels and they said “you have 4 in your room, and you’re staying 4 nights” so they gave me a hand towel. The bed was uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on metal springs that would break. It reminded me of a scene from CSI. Cheap price but will not go back. Also, it was so noisy.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Im worried we will have bed bugs and or head lice when leaving here. From the moment we walked in we were greater with a funky musky bug spray aroma. The room is extremely outdated and under cleaned. The mattresses are probably from the 60s, im scared to even pull the sheets back. The bathtub has literal cigarette burns and hair all over it! (Not ours and this is supposed to be a non smoking room) the fridge doesn't work and smells terrible. I could go on and on. The ONLY reason we are even attempting to stay the night and get refund for the next day is because my two year old daughter is extremely tired as we have traveled all day. Fast forward to 2 AM our neighbors above us have been hosting a block party all night and is still going strong. No one in my family is able to rest. I politely went to ask the attendant for a refund, he was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Said I should have made these complaints earlier and he was not refunding my money. I asked for his name, he would not give it. I asked when a manager would be there, he would not tell me. Ive called corporate and emailed already. I would not stay here for free! edit to add photos of the construction going on, the live ins that partied all night above us and how dirty our room was. My daughter had brand new socks on and walked around that room with her shoes for like 2 hours tops. Absolutely disgusting!

Booked this room for this weekend over a week ago — drove 5 hours and when we arrived were told our room had been sold and there were no more rooms available. There was no courtesy call or anything. We are in town to celebrate our anniversary. Don’t waste your time by booking here because when you arrive you won’t have a place to stay.

This is a sub par hotel. I would not recommend anyone to book a stay. The owners book guest under the lodge at mill creek only to provide rooms at the econo lodge which is under construction.

Dont stay here management sucks. The motel sucks. Everything sucks. No Pool. No shower. Nothing. Don’t stay. They refunded our money to the WRONG ACCOUNT. Then it goes from your money will be back tomorrow to it’ll be 7-10 business days. They are under construction. Paint is on the floor. It smells like straight paint. Just don’t stay.

The floor was dirty… my shoes stuck to floor. Also, the washcloths were stained and rhe towels are old and rough. We would go somewhere else but, no other hotels in the area had rooms available.

This motel looked like a trap house. 90% of the walls and ceilings were made from cans of expanding foam. The giant crack in the front door made running the heater or ac completely useless. The mattresses felt like someone stretched a sheet over some old car springs sitting on cinder blocks. The table in the room was falling apart as were the chairs. The TV was probably playing in the ball room on the titanic the night it sank. The sink leaked a puddle of water in the floor which perfectly matched the water damage in the rest of the room (i suspect from other leaking sinks). The scratches on the wall and what I can only guess is coagulated blood on a lamp shade made me wonder if I booked a hotel room or a crime scene. The fridge sounded like 30 jehovahs witnesses were knocking at the door all night long. The good news is they have blue toilet water … which stayed green most of the time because it barely had the pressure to flush. After seeing the TV I was fully expecting a sundial for an alarm clock and a carrier pigeon for a telephone which would perfectly accommodate the Wi-Fi that is slower than 90s aol dial up. Im almost positve this is one of those organ harvesting rooms like in the movie hostel … I didnt even bother with the free breakfast as I fully expected a cave man offering me pemican and dried berries.

Great location & cheap (free 4 me haha). But things some people might care about: outdated, older TV & remote only controlled channel up/down nothing else, beat up room including water damage to ceiling & holes in lamp shade, weak flushing toilet, no coffee pot in room, VERY slow Wi-Fi (they hope u will pay for faster). Other than that, room clean & friendly staff. Just remember u get what u pay for, even in Pigeon Forge where all prices for everything are jacked up!

Very old and outdated Internet makes it look nice!

I would give it 0 if it would let me. Didnt even make it in the door. The outside looked like a run down crack hotel. Pool has no water in it. Its just looks horrible. We had a reservation but we just left.

This hotel was absolutely terrible. We booked our room thru choice, when we arrived they didn't have a room available. After my husband got a hold of choice they magically had a room available but it was in the next building. The pool was empty but had blocks of concrete all in it. There was drug deals going on in the parking lot. My husband went to ride go carts with his son who came up from Florida to visit, apparently the front desk forgot to give him a paper to sign so while I was gone to get him to come back and sign the paper they gave our room away. When my husband went into the office to find out what happened, the owners son was now working and informed us the room was gave away. So with good reason my husband was upset but instead of apologizing or trying to make it right the boy laughed and smirked. My husband told him that choice needed to drop that hotel the boy laughed and said that will never happen. For the few minutes that I was in the room before I had to leave to find my husband, I seen that the sheets were damp, the TV was snowy, there were hairs in the bathroom, and I seen a sketchy drug deal go down. All I can advise is DO NOT STAY HERE… Save your money and go elsewhere. We ended up staying at the Ramada inn and told them about our incident and she said they have had several complaints about the econo lodge and she helped us tremendously. Please take this as a warning, this hotel had to be the worst in Pigeon Forge.

Very good hotel but they tore it down in February.

For the money. It was fine. It was very cheap and had all the amenities. Mini frig, microwave, iron, hair dryer and coffee pot. The bed was ok. The free breakfast had gravy, biscuits, muffins and more. The people that worked there was very nice. High speed Internet was fine. We will be back. It was a clean room. The only complaint was the door lock, as seen in the picture, but I did feel safe there.

We have stayed here twice now and had a good experience both times, the room was clean and for the most part, quiet. We didn't realize until we were leaving that the door at the back of the room opened out to a little balcony facing the river! We went down anyway and saw some wildlife just like last time, there are ducks and other birds, very nice early in the morning! We have been very satisfied with this property and plan to stay again when in the area!

I have to say that staff was quite accommodating and friendly. I had a good night's rest for all the nights I spent here. The rates are also reasonable. I love the back door and you get to view the creek and feed the ducks. However, the breakfast options are quite limited to gravy and biscuits, waffle, toast and cereals. The apple juice tasted a whole lot better than the orange juice. I only went out for breakfast for 2 days because I got bored with the menu. If there was at least some bananas. Bagel, cream cheese, oatmeal, yogurt and boiled eggs, it would have been AWESOME! We also had an issue with the door lock because it just did not lock. Thankfully, the staff had a spare room next door available transfer to. However, the bath tub would not drain quickly enough so we had standing soapy water up to our ankles whenever we had to bathe. The microwave also did not work. Despite all these I am pretty sure these issues are isolated and can be improved. When we find ate great deal on hotel rates when we visit Tennessee again and this becomes available, we are definitely staying here again hopefully minus the few hassles.

Friendly staff, but motel is quite run down. Cigarette burns on the bedspread (in our non-smoking room! ), dirty walls, broken back doorknob and grubby carpet. TV remote barely worked. Breakfast is biscuits and gravy or waffles and a small assortment of donuts and bread. We watched the attendant handle the biscuits without gloves and decided to go with waffles instead. Her hygiene wasn't any better cleaning the tables. In other words, skip the free breakfast. Cheapest motel in town on short notice, and we got what we paid for.

We had a very good stay in the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall it exceeded the value for money. Backside river flowing and duck feeding is a highlight as the kids loved it.

Had a great experience. Room and bathroom were clean. Room was a little dated but no issue. Had a flat screen TV too! They offer free breakfast. They offered waffles, donuts, bananas, toast, 2 different types of cereal, biscuits and gravy, apple and orange juice and milk. Was pretty good. Right in the middle of everything. Walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. Rooms got cleaned and we got new towels and washcloths every day. No issues!

This is the first time staying here and its very convenient to shows restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms are a little dated but very clean we will definitely stay here again checking in was super fast and easy and the staff is very kind and helpful.

Nobody is on the same page between booking website/property. They cancelled my reservation on the day of without any call, email, etc. The reason was because I didn't call them and confirm we were showing up that day? They claimed they ran my card and it was declined, funny thing is I did not supply a card number to any website… That was a first… At that point the only room they had was, verbatim, "pretty infested with stink bugs and other critters". Fast forward to the room: Smeared bug carcasses on the wall, stained carpets, stained comforters, the deck railing was rotted away exposing nails. There was an old coke bottle full of cigarette butts laying on the floor, and old orange juice in the fridge. No water pressure from the shower-literally water was just dribbling out. Also, yeah, the walls were swarming with bugs. No concession was ever mentioned, no apology, no "Because of this unfortunate mishap we will be more than happy to… " I am appalled that this hotel is not shut down/condemned. Itching uncontrollably just thinking about it. Reading other reviews it seems management just apologizes and moves on. This review isn't for the hotel to see (they won't care), this is for potential customers to see. Don't do it.

For the price, this hotel is awesome. The staff is amazing and they will accommodate you in any way that they can. I booked through travelocity and wanted the room with a private balcony and river view. Travelocity gave me a regular room. When I got to the hotel and asked about a room with the private balcony, they immediately upgraded me. It was quiet, cheap, and very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family just returned from our vacation where we stayed at the Rodeway Inn on the strip. The location is great! Right on the strip and in the middle of everything! We stayed in one of their 2nd floor rooms that has a private balcony that overlooks the river. Great view, very private! We would highly recommend this hotel. This hotel is one of the original hotels in Pigeon Forge and it does show. The decor is 80's and it does have a noisy AC just as they all did back then. I shopped the rates and couldn't find ANYTHING cheaper anywhere in Pigeon Forge for the time we were staying. All hotels that are newer were twice the price. Add in the location and that's all we need. We booked our rooms for next year while we were there.

The room was dates but clean the balcony to the ducks and river were a great surprise! There was a groundhog too that would stand below and catch food also. The pool was small but the slide was totally great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would def stay here again.

Front desk girl was nice and professional greeted us with a smile. The room was set up NICE for us… refrigerator cold and since it was 97 the ice cold air, in the room was Wonderful. Very clean pool with a slide. A kiddie area and very nice pool chairs. Wonderful visit in the heart of pigeon forge… could have been cleaner… but overall room was NICE…

We stayed for several days and our kids had a great time at the pool. The room was very clean and cleaned daily. The beds were very comfortable. We were happy about the breakfast buffet. No eggs or meats, but the waffle was great. Biscuit and gravy was thick and salty but we ate it. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

I was looking for a budget motel, but as nice as possible. I found it! Two queen beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Staff was so nice. View out the back was very enjoyable mornings and evenings. Continental breakfast was tasty. I want to go back to Pigeon Forge, TN for repeat relaxation at the roadway inn. Thank you.

We would stay here again. It was clean and met all expectations for a low-budget hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My girls loved the pool and watching the ducks and goose off of our room balcony. We wish the shower had better water pressure and the refrigerator made some crackling noises a few times throughout the night, but nothing that would be a deal breaker for the very low price we paid. If you're looking for a very low cost, clean place you lay your head while visiting this tourist town, this place is just that. To make it clear… no bugs at all (I would've left) no bacteria, mold or mildew anywhere in the room. Regardless of the other reviews, what we experienced was truly clean. Dated, but clean. We stayed in room 221 and paid $58+tax for a Saturday night.

This is a very great place to stay and the price is amazing. However the housekeeping could do a bit better on cleaning but all in all I totally recommend this place and will be staying here again.

When we first arrived, we noticed the fridge in our room wasn't working. We went to the front desk, they said nobody from maintenance would be here until tomorrow. Good thing we brought a cooler, we had to keep all of our food and drinks on ice. Then the TV remote stopped working, we called the front desk again, we were told the lady couldn't leave the office that we would have to come pick up some new batteries. So we walked down there to get batteries, replaced them, it still didn't work. So we called back for the 3rd time, we were told the maintenance guy got held up at another property and wasn't sure when he would be here. When the maintenance guy finally got here, he asked "why wouldn't they just give you a different remote, they have plenty of extra ones! " Usually I'm not a complainer, but when I have paid $350 to stay here for 3 nights, I expect stuff in the room to work!

Ann at the front desk went the extra mile. There was some confusion when we booked online, and the hotel didn't realize we had our little dog. Ann worked her magic on the computer to re-arrange upcoming reservations. Took her a little while to get it all arranged. She could have just said so sorry, and just sent us on our way, but she stayed at it and helped make our trip great.

Staff was very friendly and helpful after the power went out on the strip for an hour from a thunderstorm. The breakfast was awesome with many choices! The room was clean and the maids were very accomodating. This is right next to everything as it is on the strip. It was a family friendly place!

My husband and I are here now for our 19 year wedding anniversary and we got a great deal and a huge room. It was under $50 a night (week days) and we got everything we need and more. We only needed one King bed. We ended up ina room with a bedroom and 2 King beds, a sitting area, and 2 TV's. The clerk was wonderful at check on AMD so far no complaints. The rooms are clean and location great.
