We had a relaxing stay at the Buckhorn Inn. The breakfasts were delicious, and the hosts were very attentive.

Such a lovely property! We arrived a few hours later than expected. Dizzy from a 15 hour drive. So basic common sense was gone. A very kind lady pointed us in the right direction and we settled into the most delightful accommodations. Please come for a visit! You won’t regret it.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED our first time at Buckhorn Inn. It was a true mountain paradise getaway. When we pulled up it seemed to be like we were entering a Autumn themed Hallmark movie. Delicious food, breathtaking views of Mount Leconte. Top notch service and very comfortable bedding. We stayed in traditional room aka “The red room”. It was restorative for our minds, bodies and hearts. Exploring the grounds, meeting the resident swans. It was all just wonderful. We will be back as often as possible. A true gem of the smokies!

We enjoyed our recent stay with a delicious breakfast and restful nite in a comfy cabin. Can't wait to return!

So very relaxing. Great food, wonderful staff and a great cabin. In the past, we have stayed in the main house, which is beautiful. This visit we stayed in one of the cabins and it was fantastic. We always recommend this B&B to all our friends.

A peaceful reprieve from the issues of the world. Beautiful vistas, excellent food, and friendly staff (really not staff but new friends) are reasons we will continue to return to this wonderful place for a renewal of our body and soul.

Absolutely love staying here. Always welcoming with very clean, comfortable rooms and delicious food. Thankfully far from the crowds, but close enough to go shop if you are so inclined. Views from the Inn are beautiful as are the grounds. Close to wonderful hiking in the Park. The best place to stay in the area, in my opinion.

This is a lovely, peaceful inn with great privacy. The inn is close enough to attractions but far enough away to be quiet and private. The breakfast and dining is really excellent and the staff is helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our visit and definitely recommend the Buckhorn Inn.

Beautiful place with a Mountain View. Walked the nature trail which was awesome. Then sat in our own balcony with a cocktail and music. The rooms are huge and nicely decorated. They have snacks and drinks in the sitting room. Dinner is available on site and then of course breakfast comes with it. Great place!

Such a sweet and beautiful place. Lee and John have made this a home away from home. Very attentive and hospitable team around them there too. Gin and I love this place… and their delicious meals too!

We just returned from our tenth trip to the Buckhorn. We go each March as our anniversary celebration. The food is wonderful, the staff is friendly, and this annual trip lifts our spirits. We have always stayed in one of the cottages and we love them. Already made our reservation for next year,

If you are a busy parent and need a nice relaxing getaway in the mountains this place is perfect. My husband and I stayed here this past September and it was amazing. The reason I’m writing this now is because I have asked them for two recipes that they serve at breakfast cause they are AMAZING (and I’m craving them.

Just a classy little laid back in. Everyone loves the fibber but I will come back for the breakfasts. Hot and cooked to order and each day has a special entree. In the unbelievable bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, it is an oasis of peace and sanity. Charming. We stayed in a cabin and it had a great screened in porch, comfortable bed and nice room with couch and two chairs and cable TV. Good internet.

Fell in love the first time we stayed — been back 4 times and longing for our next getaway there — beautiful, relaxing, delicious food and views from all over, and everyone is so friendly, hosts and guests!

The staff and food are amazing! The different accommodations are all a different experience. The Buckhorn is a place to relax, rejuvenate and leave your stress behind. One of my happy places!

Been going to the Buckhorn Inn for years, fine dining in a family home setting. The food is always freshly prepared and the very tasty. Different entrée each night, always a great dining experience, we have had so many great family memories here.

We stayed in one of the traditional rooms, so breakfast was included & let me just say, it is NOT your typical hotel breakfast! The eggs Benedict is amazing ❤ Very peaceful place with gorgeous views of The Smokies!

This is our first stay but we will definitely be coming again. The attention to little details really makes a difference here. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is delicious and beautifully presented.

Our family has been coming here since the fifties. Continually upgraded facilities, awesome views and ambiance, superb food, and a really great staff. If we’re anywhere near Gatlinburg, we’re going to Buckhorn. You do need reservations. It’s that popular, and deserves to be. BTW, dinner is great, breakfast is to die for.

Best place to stay in Gatlinburg! View of the Great Smoky mountains is awesome. Their cottages and houses are first rate as is their breakfasts and dinners.

You will stay nowhere better. Always accurate to describe Buckhorn Inn as our home away from home. Many agree. A true mountain oasis.

This was a gorgeous in tucked into a convenient neck of the woods. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious both days. The staff were all friendly and more than accommodating. We loved our stay here and would love to return!

We've been coming twice a year for the last few years even though we live in a retirement community with five golf courses, eleven lakes, hiking trails, tennis courts, et. Al. But Buckhorn is extra special and we gather with extra couples for the joy of close fellowship. John and Lee make it special beyond "extra-special". What's great for me (us) is that this coming Sunday, August 12 we will arrive for our second stay of the 2018 calendar year. YEA! Great hosts, great food, great views, great times.

Charming and beautiful inn with grand views of Mt. Leconte. Perfect for relaxing or as a launching pad for the park, hiking and other activities.

Just left our three night stay. This was our 1st time visiting for what we like to call “honeymoon 2.0”. We are welcomed with the best hospitality we have ever encountered anywhere. You really do feel special when visiting. We stayed in cottage which had a lovely view. The bed was fantastic and the double jacuzzi bath was amazing and I now want to put one in our home. We had 3 nights of dinner which were fantastic! They staff are not trying to turn tables so you really are able to take your time. After dinner my husband and I sat on their porch of rocking chairs and enjoyed a drink watching the sun go down. We are so sad to go but excited to go back! Thank you Buckhorn Inn for a lovely, relaxing stay.

Absolutely beautiful place, their cottages are amazing, with great views, a fire place and a huge Jacuzzi tub big enough to fit two very large people. So no problems on that end for my curvy ladies. Did have problems with Wi-Fi but wasn't a big deal because it was always available in the main building. The food was great but definitely geard more towards a traditional pallet. Elegant yet simple and lightly seasoned. A must have is their spiced tea, absolutely refreshing. Also if you have the chance. Take a nature walk and have a go at the meditation labyrinth. All in all. This is a good vacation for couples. Great opportunity to disconnect from technology and connect back with each other. Only negative I could think of which is why I chose 4 stars instead of 5, is I was supposed to have chocolate covered strawberries in my room, but was not provided them, and apon asking about it was told that the chef left a note saying he couldn't get strawberries… Which was a little strange I thought, and then they never actually took it off my bill, but the staff was so great. I just told them to keep it as a tip. Update: I Gave them the 5th star. After seeing this comment they were gracious enough to refund me the money for the strawberries, Which I wouldn't have minded they keep because their staff it so amazing. Thank you Buck Horn inn for going above and beyond!

We had a great experience. We stayed from Saturday May 26th to Tueaday May 29th. It’s close to downtown if you wanna see the attractions in the city but also close to the National Park and it’s so quite and quaint that I can’t imaging someone not liking it. Perfect for a retreat! There are no vegan options for dinner, that what I was told when I tried to book for last Sunday at the time I made the reservation. At first I was told that it was possible but when I actually booked I was told they won’t be able to satisfy my dietary needs, which is totally fine. However that is the only reason I gave it a 4 because any vegetarian dish (which they do offer) can be easily made vegan) but apart from that they deserve a 5. There are vegan friendly options for breakfast and the staff it’s really amazing. The views, the tranquility and the place itself, with French and antiques touches, are the best of the Buckhorn. There is a veggie garden and bee hives which I think is fenomenal. We would love to be back!

Cottages were spacious and quaint at the same time, with amazing views from the cottages and main house. Very comfortable and great service. Breakfast was amazing, didn't do dinner (kids aren't allowed for dinner). Did the hiking package with Carey (a retired NPS naturalist) who was great!

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night where a prix fixe dinner was offered. You definitely pay for the views as the food is pretty average. If you do come for dinner order the spiced ice tea. It's delicious and unlike wine has free refills.

Here are my favorite pics from our stay at the Buckhorn Inn in Gatlinburg, TN. I just love "quaint, " and this place is the epitome of laid-back, quaint, all-southern. Reminds me so much of the stuff you see in Southern Living. A relatively small place, the main Inn has several sitting rooms and libraries, and the rooms are just impeccable. As a true "bread and breakfast, " they feature a superb breakfast each morning, and dinner at the Inn is optional. You can see the view pictures from our room, which looks out to Mount LeConte, which at 6, 600 feet above sea level is the highest point in the Smoky Mountains that is fully situated in Tennessee. The one mile nature trail features a nice pond, beautiful gardens, and a variety of hardwoods and shrubs. The staff seem to be mostly long-term employees, and they are very accommodating and helpful! We can highly recommend this place which is off the beaten path, yet within ten minutes of downtown Gatlinburg. A most delightful place, and I have promised Cheryl that if she will stay with me yet a while longer, I will get her back to the Buckhorn Inn at the next available opportunity! After all, this place is only 125 miles West of Nipper Ridge! (sorry, the system will not let me post my beautiful pictures! )

A wonderful experience, Gatlinburgs best kept secret.

This place is seriously the most amazing place! The food is 5 star quality. The grounds are heavenly. The staff are friendly and treat you well. Highly recommend for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a romantic getaway.

My now-Husband and I wanted elope in Gatlinburg, but we were unsure on where to stay or where to have our Ceremony. We read so many reviews on various sites, trying to gauge on where to go. Buckhorn Inn consistently stood out, so we decided to stay there and have our Elopement there as well. There are no words to describe how beautiful this place is, how lovely the people are, and how delicious the food is! My Husband and I are already planning a return trip for next year. :) Frank was very helpful driving us to various locations on where to have our Ceremony and on the day of, helped us set up the Video Recorder. Lee Miller (one of the Owners) was our Officiant and we could not have been more pleased with our time here. The food was delicious! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and all of it was amazing. Service was impeccable and welcoming. Everyone was so kind and gracious to us. It was truly a delight and pleasure and we cannot wait to see everyone again next time. :) Thank you Buckhorn Inn for a wonderful experience!

Back 4 years after my first visit when I was travelling alone, this time with my husband. It was just a great. Truly relaxing, truly beautiful. You feel looked after here and you know you are somewhere special. The cottages are lovely to stay in, no. 4 has a brilliant view and porch. Wish we stayed longer.

This was our second year in a row eating here for our anniversary, and the food is excellent! The views are breathtaking, the staff was wonderful, and everything was perfect! My wife says we will be making this our dinner stop every time we are in Gatlinburg from now on!

Wonderful place to spend our anniversary!

My husband and I had dinner at the Buckhorn one night on our honeymoon. Absolutely incredible. We arrived early and were invited out onto the back porch for a glass of wine while we waited to be seated. The waitress who brought us our bottle must have overheard us talking to another couple about being on our honeymoon, because when we were shown to our seat, the table was decorated with congratulations notes and confetti! The food was like a dream… The best meal I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The service, ambiance, and food were flawless. We will be going back on our 1st anniversary to stay for the weekend and cannot wait to get the full Inn experience. We were told by guests the breakfast is even better than dinner!

I couldn't belive the history, taste, quality, service, price and spirit of the inn. And only 15 min from gatlinburg!

Amazing experience, best food in Gatlinburg! The homes make you feel very cozy and the staff is very welcoming! I have been going for the past 10 years and there is nowhere else that I feel so at home.

The wife and I have been going to Buckhorn Inn the past ten to twelve years. The main reason is "everything about the Inn is first class". The service we have received has always been excellent, and very friendly. The food breakfast and dinner are super. We always stay for dinner simply because the dinner at Buckhorn is unbeatable. One thing about the staff we have noticed is their longevity. An number of the staff have remained at the inn since we started going there. Lee and John must be a pleasure to work for, they and the other members of the staff are definitely a pleasure to visit. Gatlingburg/Pigeon Forge have a lot of other Inns but why should we change when we are already going to the number one inn. John P Falcon.

An excellent getaway place. Rooms are decorated in fine country style, prices comparable to the hotels in town but the service and the breakfast put the inn miles ahead in value. Five minute drive from Gatlinburg but looking out the windows and listening to the outdoors you would never know it.

My wife and I look forward to our visit to the Buckhorn every year. We go to relax, recharge and reconnect. Close to the national park (5 min drive), to area artisans, and close but far enough away from Gatlinburg to avoid the "tourist" experience. We stay in the cabins (although I've been in the main house rooms and all are beautiful also! ) : nicely appointed and upscale, clean with picturesque views of the Smokey Mountains and peaceful. The breakfasts are wonderful, as should be expected when staying at "B&B" but dinners are exceptional! At $35 per person, it may be a little more than you might normally spend at a local restaurant, but the food is expertly prepared, all courses are beautifully matched and the service is wonderful! When you have dinner at the Buckhorn, you aren't eating a meal, you are "dining" — we rarely go out during our visits! Jon and Lee are wonderful innkeepers and Debbie, their manager, is friendly and efficient! I highly recommend the Buckhorn to anyone looking for an elegant place to stay and can appreciate the hospitality of a fine inn.

Location, location, location. This lovely Gatlinburg inn is so close to the activity of town, yet set in a lovely wooded enclave of peace and quiet. The views of the Great Smoky Mountains are stunning and the wonderful food can't be beat. It's innovative and comforting "homestyle" at the same time. Marvelous. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in one of the premier rooms and loved strolling the grounds and walking through the Labyrinth. Don't miss the chance to stay here on your travels through Gatlinburg.
