Rooms were nice. Internet was good not too much lag and the hotel was fully booked. They have a free southern dinner and breakfast. I didn't get to check out the dinner but the free breakfast was better than most. The hotel and office (where breakfast is) are separate buildings so if you have mobility issues you will want to drive down to the office which does have substantial parking. There is a out door pool that I didn't locate since it was raining. All in all a nice hotel.

Not in the best condition, looks run down. Main reason we chose this particular hotel on our travels was for the pool for the little ones. Pool was closed in middle of summer. No reason given, no concern for customers shown. Pool was full but locked up. Room was decent for the money, although quite a few bugs running around. The included breakfast was ok, but on the low end of free hotel breakfasts.

Sadly this property has gone down hill. They charged me for my Service Animal. No where did it say anything about fees for dogs! Carpet was very dirty and ripped. Curtains don't close all the way. The property is renting rooms to construction crews who drink and block the walkway at night. This place used to be a great place to stay unfortunately they have new management and they have let it go. Breakfast is not edible powdered eggs. Tasteless gravy and hockey pucks for biscuits.

This place is not elegant but… $55.00 a night they feed you breakfast & supper. Homestyle cooking with dessert. Staff very friendly ALL EXCEPT THE MANAGER.

At least we will never stay again ever in any Days Inn. Advertised at $69.99 rooms are sold out and will charge you $106.99, rather could have stayed at newer better Quality Inn for about the same price. Actual Hotel rooms and check in office with breakfast buildings are separate, older outer corridor hotel with below average rooms with pop corn ceiling that is about to drop in bathroom, old wornout carpet, bathroom tub was dusty and seems like hadn’t cleaned in a while. If I was not sleepy would have walked out. Very disappointing.

Dirty Inn = Days Inn. Filthy, dirty smelly below average hotel, I mean motel. Stay away unless you get tricked into their interstate sign which is advertised at $69.99 like we did and were sleeply and tired at late night. We were desperate so got conned since our motorhome / RV had a generator issue or would have never stayed in hotel! Quiet location just a short drive to the city of Asheville, NC. Clean room and friendly staff.

Decent place, clean, affordable. Free breakfast, and dinner. Close to I-40. Right near a gas station. Quiet. Nice staff.

Do Not Stay here! I made the mistake of booking online and I will not do that again. I arrived at 5:45pm and I had requested a downstairs room and was given a room on the second floor at the back of the building. I travel alone for work and felt very unsafe due to the fact that I had to walk up a stairwell that was very dark and spooky. I am not a scared person however I felt very uncomfortable at this hotel. I went to the room which was not clean at all and had fleas. I left to see what else was around and to get something to eat and decided to ask to be moved to another room. I went to the front desk to discuss with Jim he is the General Manager which is very sad because he has horrible customer service skills. I asked about my options and was told that I had been in the room to long for any changes by this time it was 6:30 pm maybe. I was charged for the full nights room rate. The hotel is nasty do yourself a favor and go down the road to another hotel!

Extremely friendly staff. Clean rooms and the free dinner that was included was pretty good also.

Nice room. Morning and evening meal included. Room prices went up $30 a day on weekend compared to weekday prices.

Saw an ad for weekly rooms on Craigslist being advertised for weeks. Drove out there to be told they werent doing weekly yet. I had called was told $400/week, ad said $325/week then was told $70 a night with $150 deposit once I showed up. Seemed like I was an inconvenience to them. Took my business to woodspring suites for $406/week.

This hotel was less than mediocre. Check in took about 15 minutes. I had used PayPal to reserve the room, and then the virtual card wouldn't work. After the 3 attempt, I asked the clerk to just use my debit card. She did, it worked. Then she made sure it worked by charging me again. So far, I have 3 charges and no one will get back to me about any of them. (plus a $12 pet deposit for our puppy for a pet friendly hotel). Also, there was not a designated area for pets to do their business. In front of the rooms is a very steep drop, and it was the only grass area I saw. There were exposed wires in our room, the AC didn't work, and the hot water fluctuated frequently (hot to freezing, not touching knobs) while I tried to shower. Not to mention the stains in the bottom of the tub/shower. But we had a nice surprise in the dresser! Someone was kind enough to leave their lingerie! (I have pics as proof). As far as a room, it was okay. Bed and pillows were lumpy, but it was a place to sleep while we were in town.

They are an awesome group of people that work here. Beautiful human beings. They also offer breakfast as well as supper so its a great place for for workers and families alike.

Good place for short stay. Includes light breakfast and dinner. Rooms are decent but could use more outlets.

I am not a picky person, and I checked in with low expectations. But it was worse then I could prepare myself for. The upper walkway to the room leaned and did not look safe. The pool water was green. The dinner was nasty tasting hot dogs and green beans. Our bathroom in our room reeked of marijuana. But even after noticing all this, I figured we could make do, for the price. There was an older man staying a few doors down, that paced in front of our room and stopped to stare in our window. We had to keep curtain closed. We tried the pool, and the same creepy guy, leaned against the gate and watched us the whole time. I have 2 children and the creepy guy had a kid staying with him. We never saw the kid at the pool, but while we were in the room, the child knocked several times trying to get our kids to play in his room with him. We left for awhile and when we came back, our key card wouldn't work, had to go to office twice and speak with a very rude woman at the front desk before I finally got it to work. Once inside, we noticed our stuff had been moved around. (luckily, anything of any value was kept in my purse, with me). And creepy guy was still hovering around our door at 11:00pm. That was the last straw. We left and went home. I will never go back there. It became obvious very quickly that the hotel was more of a drug hang out. We did not feel safe, and I honestly still wonder what the deal was with the creepy guy. If you have children, stay away! Something was off!

We were in the middle of an ice storm and this hotel was the only place we could get a room. They not only offered homemade beef stew, chili and chicken and dumplings to the guests but also all the people who couldn't get a room! Two young girls were trying to check in ahead of me and didn't have a credit card but had cash. It's was their policy you had to have a credit card but the owner said " it's fine we are NOT sending those girls back on the roads tonight. They can stay! " So thankful for this place!

What a wonderful staff they treat you like family. Had a great dinner and breakfast.

Very clean place, reasonable price, and the staff was amazing. So nice, to me & my dogs. This is a 3 star property with 5+ star service! I will definitely be staying here in the future.

It looks a little run down but it's not bad. Decent rooms. Very nice staff.

I stayed at this motel a week I call front desk to ask the manger can he tell the housekeeper to come clean my room he told me it was my job and then phone me to the laundry room where no one answered so the next day I walk up front at 5:45pm was a bout have a seat in the dinner area he refused to let me sit in their saying it was close I said I’m just waiting on my ride he said it’s two rocking chairs outside I said it’s too cold to be out side he turn and look at his computer leaving me to stand for ten min till my ride came and the most important thing of it all it was two white peoples sitting in there at table the dinner area ain’t close to six this was racist to me but o well nothing will never be done about it just thought I’ll let people know how I was treated.

It's a nice hotel for the price. The room was everything I needed and was clean. Probably the staff could improve, I needed to print some documents and they refuse, first time at a hotel that refused printing.

This was a motel we would visit again anytime. The staff were courteous and attentive and the room was excellent. It is obviously a motel run and staffed by people who care about their guests and giving a good service. A surprise bonus was the free Southern Supper provided each night which to us English folk was like having bed, breakfast and evening meal! A Full 5 Stars from us.

Dated facility, but the room was very clean. Staff was accommodating of my room change request, which was much appreciated. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and free breakfast was adequate.

Hurricane Irma — be wary! We came up because we live in a low lying area of Charleston, SC, and the governor expected evacuation orders to come Saturday. We left early because with my daughter's PTSD the event is disruptive enough, without all the extra stress of a traffic jam. Especially with all the extra traffic from GA and FL (God keep them all safe) The room was nice enough and the bed comfortable, as well as a mild pet fee ($15 a day and, of course, there was no fee for her Registered Service Dog) — these are the reasons for the 2 stars. Although parts of SC were ordered to evacuate, our area was not and we were grateful to be blessed to go back home. I had been told once upon check in and also a second time yesterday afternoon by the front desk there would be no charge for us checking out today. However, no matter what I, or Expedia said to the manager, Jim, or the fact that 2 office employees had assured me there would be no fee, I was charged another full night. There was no honoring what the representatives told us, or honor period. I have heard wonderful stories of people aiding others in these disasters and, even though it is only 1 night, that money is important to us. No tales of good company scruples here, sadly.

I am so greatful for all at days inn for helping me when I saw no end of the tunnel. They are super wonderful people! they put a light so I could see Thank you from the top and bottom of my heart ~~~

Stayed here over night 2 nights in a row between spartan races. Bed was good and clean and our king had 5 pillows which was a plus. Room was clean on arrival and didn't have any issues for us. Didn't use the outdoor pool due to being busy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a plus with hot and cold items both ready at 0600 to go. Was about 30minutes from our rave venue and about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville for night life and breweries we visited one night. Would stay again.

Locatation is 15 min from downtown Asheville and about 45 to the smokey mountains. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the lights outside the room and for the parking lot were so bright that it would look like morning when it was the middle of the night. But I know that makes it safer at night. Would stay again.

We have stayed here a few times now. Nothing to write home about. First time, we had a first floor room. Pretty dated, smoking rooms near by so, some odor from that and folks smoking in front of the doors. This time, first room was wet from broken shower running hot water for sometime, this was first floor. Notified front desk, told not sure if they had. Anything else, got moved to. Third floor. Couple of roaches in room and a spider that we killed after my 3 year old found them. Toilet took several times to flush and holding handle, which was broken, not hot water first morning, almost no water pressure any morning. Very dirty and gotten pretty sketchy. We will not return. This is a good place though if you. Need long term or are without housing and needing a cheap long term transition type of housing and don't care about conditions.

Short version I was discriminated against because of my disability. For starters my fam and I used them to recoup from my hospital stay after I was in a comma and nearly died, so I did not want to see anyone incl housekeeping for a while which I was told was suspicious and I was forced to let housekeeping in. I have a service dog, so for cleaning I had to take my dog outside. I wasn't healthy enough to go outside esp not without my physical therapist. Housekeeping complaint about my bath chair and my bed side commode I used over an existing toilet to raise the seat so I could get up on my own. They also complained that my service dog was big. The breakfast area is on a steep slope, no way I could make that in my condition. I was told my daughter can bring me breakfast every morning, but after a while manager and staff had issues with that. My CNN and home health team said bathroom was too small to clean up in and the room decor needed improvement. Based on all the issues described we were asked to leave. We currently have a file with Ada against them, but days inn won't give us manager Maggie's last name to give to Ada basically they r cowards.

Stayed here for a bit over a week while waiting for an apartment to open up when I got to Asheville. It's OK, standard roadside motel style place I guess. Lots of long termers who seem a bit sketchy, lots of people standing outside their doors smoking. Normal overnight I would be fine, but staying long term with some valuables in the room during the day I was a bit worried. The water is undrinkable from the sink, and is murky/rusty coming out of the shower. They are remodeling so the rooms are going to be nicer than what I am in, half of them are so I can't review that part. They have breakfast that is on the not so great side (no lobby waffles)

My room was fine, floor didn't look to be vacuumed but it was overall ok. However, the others in my group had to move rooms three times due to plumbing issues, rooms that had been smoked in (twice). Breakfast was good and fresh. Terrible Internet.

The days in asheville west is conveniently located off interstate 40 at exit 44… the front desk staff were friendly and efficient but the rooms are average at best… you can tell there trying by the minor upgrades in the room including flat screen television and modern bedding and pillows… this location suffers because of the location as it draws many work and transient clientele. This was evident by the obvious so I won't go into detail but if you need a place to rest your head for the night give it a try.

Service was good but room was dirty. Expensive for such a basic room.

We paid $89 for our DBL BED NON-SMOKING accommodations. This is a no more than $55 per room hotel. In dire need of updating / remodeling. The rooms were clean-ish. The shower was lethargic; e. G. There was no water pressure. We had no other options as this was during Spring Break and we had not planned far enough ahead for hotels on our return home. The stars on this review are for the friendly service we received.

Stayed there for a couple of nights. The first night, we found out the water pressure was horrible! It was very hard to get the shampoo out of your hair. So, on the second night, I decided to take a bath instead. Big mistake! I walked in after running the water to see a bath tub full of YELLOW water! Ugh! I don't know if this is "normal" to the area, but it's gross at any rate. You really can't tell if you're just washing your hands or showering. I took the quickest shower possible and we left the next morning. Won't stay there again. It has Its good points, the gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant at check in, it has free Wi-Fi (sporadic at times though) and the price was great. However the yellow water is a deal breaker for me.

I'm baffled anyone would complain about the room appearance our room was very eye appealing. Sweet Staff. One of the best Breakfast ever,, homemade biscuits and gravy, cheeder cheese omeletes. This is a low price pet friendly place, Sure you could pay two hundred dollars a night for a more beautiful building. I can't speak for other rooms but ours was a tad musty but I am highly allergic to carpet, The industry needs to learn carpets need to be steam cleaned every other day not just vacuumed once a day or replace all carpet with vinyle or hardwood floors but that being said I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a very reasonable price pet friendly and ADA Dog safe place. Will be staying here for every Asheville trip.

For the price, this place was outstanding! My wife and I relocated to Asheville with two dogs… and desperately needed to find someplace that allowed dogs. This place accepted our pets, and they didn't charge an arm and leg for them! We stayed here for about ONE MONTH! Daily breakfast was wonderful. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. As other reviewers mentioned, yes, it's an OLDER PROPERTY… but the owners are dumping LOTS OF MONEY into the place, renovating and improving property. Older properties have older equipment, facilities, decor. It costs money to fix things up. As other reviewers indicated, yes, you may see a bug… it's across from a NATIONAL FOREST… there are bugs in the forest. Hotel cannot control when others bring in bed bugs, hotel doesn't put them there, but we can attest if you see something, this place will take you seriously, put you in a better room, and fix the room with problems. If you're looking for an expensive place to stay, this IS NOT IT… you must go somewhere else and pay an expensive rate. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR — so don't be cheap then expect the Taj Mahal. If you're looking for an economical place, this is it… you found it. We would GLADLY stay here again, and recommend it highly… again, for the price.

Noisy, dirty disgusting. The carpet was gross. We had a room right across from the ice machine. Sounded like a hail storm all night.

Crowded, noisy, exterior unkept and dirty. People hanging outside their rooms smoking playing loud music in many of the rooms. Dead slow internet connection. Inside the room it was ok. Some stains on chair. Beds clean. Toilet paper missing. Small towels. There seems to have been an effort at some updated but cheaply done. My room had flat screen TV not all rooms. Fortunately I paid 57.00 with coupon from hotel book. Place not worth much more than that.

I chose this motel based off most of the reviews on Trip Advisor being ok. The first room we were given was cramped, had an arm chair with what looked like bodily fluids (whitish) stained into the fabric and when we pulled the bed spread down there were some black marks on the sheets and other stains. My husband was totally disgusted and wanted to get another hotel right then, but it was already 5 pm on a Saturday and there were no rooms available. I tried flipping the seat cushion over but the other side had more whitish stains on it and beneath it was all stained as well. We didn't even want to sit on the bed at that point. Also, the plexi-glass bracket that is supposed to keep the curtains from getting caught in the entrance door was broken off and was so sharp it could cause serious injury. We didn't have any tools with us to remove the screws holding the piece that was left, so we called the front desk and spoke to Kelly and described the problem with the sharp plexi-glass and could they please send someone up with a screwdriver to remove it. She told my husband she'd send someone shortly. We waited and waited and after about 30 mins she called and said someone was on their way, after another 15 mins or so. I called her again. In the meantime, my husband made phone calls to try and find us another room somewhere else to no avail.

The room was clean. The service was excellent. We would have preferred one bed and one couch as two queen beds are a little tight. No room to move. Breakfast was lacking.

I had a great visit. Was treated well by all especially by the front desk. I was in a dead spot with the Wi-Fi and got relocated. Breakfast was for real, everything in room works, great Beds. I travel through this area and will stay at this location again.

Great value near Asheville, Great view of the mountains, and only an extra 15 minutes to anywhere you need to get to. A quiet place to enjoy a breakfast and dinner. I have stayed here several times, and never questioned the value for the money paid.

Top notch staff! Room was clean, food was good, and housekeeping was always very helpful! Stayed for two months and they do a better job than my current landlord. Would stay again if I need to. Pricing also very far. Manager of the Property was awesome.

It was ok. Somewhat comfy bed and cold shower. Didn't see any bugs. You get what you pay for here. Needs serious renovations.

Everything was cleand and liked the free Wi-Fi but it is far from gas stations and food. Had to drive 10-15min to get anywhere. Price was good. Included complementary dinner and breakfast which was nice. Staff is friendly.

Well, the price was good and you get what you pay for. The room served it's purpose for the few hours we were there. A halfway point to get some sleep before heading to our planned destination. The desk staff was nice enough and were accommodating. There were some cigarette ashes under the bed in our non-smoking room. If it weren't the middle of the night and I had spent more time there, I am sure I would have found the cleanliness would not have met my expectations. The biggest issue. The air conditioner was broken. It was 2am and the motel was fully booked, so we had to deal with it. By sunrise it was quite hot! I mentioned it at check out and they "made a note of it". Our key cards also quit working in the morning. Breakfast. Was just okay. Again served its purpose and got us back on the road without having to make an additional stop for breakfast. Definitely would not stay here for more than one night. As a stop over, I might stay again if it was on our route. I am sure the other motels in this price range are lacking as well, at least I would already know what I was getting here.
