Review of Belvedere Inn Schenectady - Albany 2*

With what was suppose to be a romantic get away didn’t turn out so well. My boyfriend and I rented the king suite for a night thinking it was going to be so nice to get out of the house, I mean we drove 2.5 hours to come to the area. We arrived, got our keys and went to our room only to find out sheets covered with hair, black stains, and what appeared to be black dots. After going down stairs to tell them about this, the front desk attendant says he’s sorry and to follow him. He then brings me into the back storage room and hands me sheets for the bed and informs me I can change them myself due to him not being able to leave the desk. Coming from a family with hotel service myself I understand something other guest might not. But it gets worse. Mind blown I go upstairs tell my boyfriend about what just happened. We tell the man we are going to dinner and will be back. While out I call every hotel within the area none had rooms due to an event happening with over 300 people attending. When we realize we have no other choice but to sty here we went back to the hotel. The man said he gave me a small discount, only about $30. Better than nothing but for what I paid for the room for the quality I got I think I deserved more. Later that night after our activities my boyfriend and I went to shower for the night. We get in the shower and notice brown dirt on the walls sliding down as the water hits it. Gross! Then I get paranoid and check the rest of the bathroom, the bathtub had small black hairs in it. NOPE! Done. I now almost crying to leave am forced to stay in this room because I have no where else to go. When I called the next day to speak with the manager I let her know some of the issues, but mainly mentioned the fact that my card was charged the whole amount. She said it would be fixed. So I guess I’ll wait and see. But seriously $200 for one night in a dirty room, where I didn’t feel comfortable touching anything? Come on.
