Great look and feel, comfy and cool.

Overall it was just great love the building the scenery the area Long island City Queens.

I was only here for a day. But it was quiet and nice!

One of our new comfort spots for sure. Very sexy!

The biggest shout out to them for keeping essential worker safety in mind. Locking out riff raff by 9pm, only key card holders can open the front doors.
Not allowing additional guests during covid-19 virus times is great. Makes me feel safer by staying here then going to work with my patient each day.
They work closely with hotel engine to get healthcare workers checked in for up to 28 days free of charge to us. They know me when I walk in. I'm not just a face, (mask), in the crowd. It's very quiet and restful. Love the keurig and tea.

This is our second visit in a year. Last year renovations were taken place. The hotel is beautiful, cozy and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. A much better breakfast was offered on our last visit, which included; fruit salad, yogurt, assorted breads, bagels, cereals, juices and coffee. This year, not so good. What was offered was all carbs and coffee and a piece of fruit from the fruit bowl. The yogurt and fruit cups we had to pay for. This breakfast was included in the actual hotel stay. They should be accommodating to people with specific diet needs. Also, the website offers free Wi-Fi, but we were told that the service fee in which we paid $20.00 a day for was Wi-Fi. Will we come back again? Of course. It’s an awesome place and I’m sure they will work out some of the kinks as they complete the renovations.

Charges a resort/destination fee when it's not a resort/destination. Rooms have the smallest TV I've ever seen in a hotel and no mini fridge.

We traveled here out of state for 5 nights for the PGA championship tournament and this was the biggest disappointment of the trip. They did not at any time (not even on website at time of booking) disclose to us that they are under major renovations and their restaurant and bar are non-existent. Not only that but staff is not friendly at all! They didn't even offer an apology but told us we could walk 8 blocks to have dinner. They act like any questions or requests are inconveniences to them. We had to ask for basic things every day such as towels and when they brought them we had to ask again for hand towels and washcloths. There was the same trash on the bathroom floor when we checked out on day 5 as there was on day 1. The noise was almost as unbearable as the hard beds. Sleep was near impossible even with Benadryl and headphones. I would not waste your money on this hotel. The concept is cool but they do not know how to treat guests. I wish I had used my $1200 elsewhere.

Great hospitality for a group of 34 people. The staff was friendly and welcoming, they would do anything to accommodate our requests. We were in general very happy with the service offered. The location also is convenient.

I do like The Paper Factory hotel, (this is my second time staying), and generally agree with the other positive comments by other reviewers. I would rate 4 — 5 if it wasn't for some annoyances: — The restaurant/bar is closed and has been for some time. This is not highlighted to you during booking nor do they say when it will be open again. First time I stayed, I got a drinks voucher as an apology. They seem to have stopped doing that now. — There is no fridge in the hotel room. — They can be a bit tight on the tea/coffee and toiletries so you either have to ration them or ask for extras! — The pillows are not great. I would advise asking for extras!

My stay at the paper factory hotel was excellent. Clean, quiet even though there is construction going on nearby. Friendly staff that went out of there way to make me feel at home. Decor has an amazing rustic vintage feel to it. Spent some time taking photos of the interior items which are from the early to middle 20th century.

I've stayed here twice — it's such a great hotel, especially when competing with the matchbox-size hotel rooms in Manhattan. I was hesitant to stay in Queens but it was the BEST decision. The rooms are a decent size with great decor, the Wi-Fi works, they have reasonable prices for New York, the service is reliable and friendly and the subway really is outside the hotel. The distance to NYC is not a consideration, since it's a short subway ride away. There's only a grab-and-go breakfast counter which isn't ideal but can be worked around. The cleanliness of the room wasn't up to standard on my second stay (which was only for one night, I would have asked to move if I was staying for longer). Don't think twice, book your stay here.

Very stylish and minimalistic rooms. Comfortable beds with clean rooms. After staying in Manhattan hotels this one is a breath of fresh air. The price is well worth the room.

Loved the decor. Very funky yet classy. They did an excellent job converting the warehouse. Room was impeccably clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff were friendly and we had no problem finding street parking. Would stay here again. Definitely!

Fantastic find, just outside of Manhattan. Easily get into the city with a subway stop on the corner. Friendly hotel staff and well designed room interior. I was shocked at the difference in price compared to the city. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.

Comfortable Hotel Two metro stops from Manhattan and one hour from JFK Airport, the Paper Factory has fully fulfilled its expectations. Friendly Staff at the reception, the small corner bar and the restaurant; Good size comfortable room; Lots of spaces for relaxation. On Saturdays and Sundays it is not possible to have breakfast in the hotel, they provide a map with bars and restaurants in the area.

Acceptable place to stay if you need to be in LIC. I was here for a 5 night stay. The hotel looks hip and has the attitude. Customer service is fine, not overly helpful. The rooms look good and are minimally comfortable. Basically this is an utilitarian hotel, with a hip vibe. I attempted to adjust my room temp (too hot, ) thinking turning down the temperature on my thermostat would do the trick. When nothing worked, I called down to the front desk to be informed they had to shut off the heat to my room. The restaurant is a fail in so many ways a separate review is needed. Needless to say, find another location for food or drinks.

Great modern hotel but a bit off the beaten track.

The PFH is a very nice little hotel in Queens. The décor is modern and the atmosphere very pleasant. The rooms are normally furnished and the menu is very good. The value for money is phenomenal! There is also perfect access to the subway! Super Hotel.

This hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The details in the design are breathtaking. I liked that there was plenty of parking on the street. We attended an event at the Melrose Ballroom, which was walking distance. Try the food at the restaurant. Delicious oxtail and squid. And the bartender, Julia, she was adorable and a very talented bartender. I would definitely go there again.

This hotel is so greatly decorated it looks like a museum from the past. They have taken tin drums and turn them into chairs for the lobby. In the restaurant, they have a column made out of books making it extremely unique. The rooms are spacious and also nicely decorated. The entire building has the original wood floors which have been treated to have a nice shine. The bed is comfy. The staff could not be any more friendlier and welcoming.

This place has awesome service, the rooms are very hip like. Actually the environment seems spooky in a sense but its something to try out. The coffee is great, the gym is great, and the beds are comfy. The Bathrooms are clean and very well renovated. You feel like you are going to hotel transylvania.

This is not a hotel. It's a mind-blowing incredible retro-centric hospitality experience! Absolutely amazing decor, service, design, and food. The rooms are awesome. Beds are incredibly comfortable and everything about this hotel is something I recommend everyone experience and enjoy! Subway station is located right across the street making it fast and easy to go anywhere in New York City. Love this place and can't wait to come back again!

Blind, so they were kind enough to provide a room on the 1st floor. Check in and out is very quick by the friendly staff; room was large and the bed was comfortable! Only gripe was the blackout shades, the chains were loud and were harder to pull than expected. Bathroom was spacious and well appointed; I have already have recommended this hotel others and will continue to do so.

Please be aware they charge you a 20 dollar a night call it a resort fee. Funny no resort horrible area, no parking, restaurant not open on Sunday and Monday or for lunch, no pool, worse part absolutely no parking, you have to park on the street during the day pay meter every two hours. Was there for work not pleasure. Came back to my room at 1 am to find my door open. 20 pays for Wi-Fi and game room really most hotels don’t charge for Wi-Fi. Not a family friendly hotel so who is playing in the game room not me. Also when I have my card for deposit woman never mentioned a resort fee to me or when I checked out.

I encourage anyone to stay here. For the price you can really appreciate the classics and you also get biggest rooms and if you love architecture and interior decor. Trust me I liked it so much I'm thinking of setting my network meetings here.

Nothing works in this quirky but inept hotel. Broken ac, non working tv, many lights out, 1 tiny soap to share between shower and sink. They do try to be accommodating, but it's just not good enough. Best Western would have been better. Oh, and what's with single ply toilet tissue? And no drawers to put your things in? All at a price point where one expects much more.

Stayed for a wedding. The room was both comfortable, stylish, unique, and fun. Restaurant and bar was delicious and priced as expected. We stayed an extra night to enjoy the city a bit more.

Popular hotel with a very cool interior design. Our room is spacious and up to date with a big window with a nice view. There is a restaurant on site with serves till late. Only downside is the elevator can take a while to arrive.

I'm part way through a 6 night stay at The Paper Factory and absolutely love the place. Location wise it's really handy for the subway, the hotel itself is super cool and modern, the industrial design style is great. We've eaten in the restaurant and the brioche beef burger either lime and jalapeño fries was superb, and all the staff have been really helpful so far.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for 10 nights at this property in October. We loved it. We stayed in room 512 with an amazing view of Manhattan. Breakfast was decent, we had a few issues with something in the room and the staff were very professional and fixed it. Subway is just across the street with easy access to Manhattan. The only bad experience we had during our stay were a mistake at check in. We arrived late and were check in and wanted to go straight to bed, but one hour later another couple walked into our room while we were sleeping. When I talked to the Front Desk staff the next day, the lady were sorry and apologized for the situation. Front Desk staff were very friendly and allways ready with a smile and a "Hey". Thank you for a lovly stay, this is our prefired place to stay in New York City.

I stayed from 5 October and checked out on 11 october. Friendly staff, great food at the restaurant. Only issue was the pillows. Horrible and flat! I requested a couple more. They brought up to me within 5 minutes. However I had neck pain the whole I stayed there. Please would change your pillows and better quality ones. Thank you.

Roach in the room We booked a $360 room, which seemed ok at the first glance. When we came back in the room from a concert, there was a nasty roach walking next to the coffee maker. Right away I called the front desk and told them about it. First they offered to send someone in the room to spray bug spray around the room where we're supposed to sleep in. I declined, and then they offered another room which we declined as well. We decided to just leave the hotel at 3:30 am. The next day I called the manager of the hotel, and she was assuring me that housekeeping checked everything after we left and didn't find any signs of not even one bug. Of course I took pictures of it before leaving the room and I sent them the pictures. Then they changed their story to that was one roach, (where there is one roach, there are definitely more). They said the best they can do is give me a refund for only $100. Long story short, we payed $400 with tax for a room that we didn't even use. Very bad experience.

Stayed here for a little over 2 weeks. Amazing place. Has a very nice charm. The staff are very polite. The rooms are cute and they common areas are very nice to work or just sit and read a book. Mundo the restaurant serves some amazing dishes. The cafe in the lobby was my go-to for coffee and everything breakfasty in the mornings. Has a subway station right outside which was a blessing. Has quiet a few restaurants and eateries just a couple of blocks away.

Great last minute find. The space is engaging colourful, urban hipster awesomeness. Happy Hour is lovely. The staff is great and this place oozes with creativity and spacial intelligence. Only disappointing factor was how hard the bed was and starchy the linens were. Disappointing given the effort made every where else. I would come back and hope this tidbit makes a difference to those wanting to knock this up to a 5 star rating.

This hotel was such a jem! It gave off very urban hipster vibes. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. They had quite the workout room and we stayed in a very nice room. I would definitely comeback and stay there again!

World, the hotel restaurant has good dishes and good drinks. In addition to everything you need to enjoy an outing to dinner.

We stayed here for ten days. The design of the rooms is great with a working retro style radio and a retro style lamp. The front desk could be reached 24/7 and helped fast with getting a second blanket for example. Food from the restaurant can be ordered into the rooms. A minibar was missing though. The location close to the 36th Street subway station is great and midtown can be reached via the Q and M subway very fast. The Museum of the Moving Image is in walking distance to the hotel. Great place for vacation in NYC!

I went to an interview there, but I was very impressed. I regret not being able to say what the rooms are like, since I didn't get into any bedroom.

Lousy experience, poor customer service. I had a credit for a night whose back I have in writing and then not Quisiero offer, instead I wanted to give a discount of 25%. Bad experience in general, bad relation price quality.

Very courteous staff at restaurant. We went for birthday drinks and dinner. We asked if they did anything special for birthdays, their reply was that they only can maybe put a candle on the dessert we ordered. When it was time for the dessert the waiter had some of the staff come over and sing Happy birthday. It was an extremely nice gesture.

It's so cool and it's got the retro look with all original items refurbished to give it that one of a kind look. Big windows overlooking Astoria, my old hood and just 3 minutes from the 59th st bridge to Manhattan and subway in the corner. My room was the top floor corner facing north east and had a great view with large windows facing both directions. Very comfortable room with great decor. The Mundo restaurant in the lobby serves delicious breakfast, brunch and elegant dinner. Easy a 4 star hotel in my opinion.

This was the coolest party I've ever been too. There were parties in every room with props and great entertainment. Music was different in every room with DJs and performers depending on the room. There were dancers, coconut drinks, violinists, bands, people on stilts and a walking dragon. They had glow in the dark paint stations under the UV and a woman walking around with a snake. They even had an artist drawing people's portraits. It was basically the most ridiculous party ever and I LOVED it! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to plan an over the top party. Hotel decor is really cool even without all those props. The hanging fixtures are cool. This is the place to host a party if you want a hipster, cool and different party. Staff was on point with all the details.

This is the worst hotel ever. Don't ever stay there and make sure your friends don't stay there. This place has a cool story and look and that's how they suck you in. When we first got to our room, the air conditioner was leaking on the floor and bed. The maintenance guy fixed it while we had gone out. When we got back to the room we discovered the TV wasn't mounted on the mount. It's supposed to be on so device that comes up out of a box. We went to the desk and the lady called the maintenance guy to fix it. This time there were 2 guys, both smelled like weed. They "fixed" it by just hanging it on the mount. It's not secured and they had no idea what they were doing. The final straw were bugs and hair in the bed. It's a shame. The place looks so cool but when you look closer it's just half assed. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work, the lights are half painted over, and the shower doesn't drain properly. We came to the city to catch a concert and celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and instead we are driving 3 hrs home at 1 am.

I recently spent a weekend here with my girlfriend. It was very affordable and close to a subway station, which made a semi-inconvenient location in Long Island City a non-issue. The lobby is decorated nicely; lots of reclaimed wood, industrial accents, and a huge tower of books. Decor in the room was similarly themed but far less grandiose. The check in process was smooth and free from setbacks and the woman behind the front desk was very kind. Now for the bad parts: -The foosball table in the lobby, which is advertised on the hotel's website, was in dire need of lubrication and thus did not function at all. -The elevator broke while we were in it, which we understood was a fluke, but it was inconvenient nonetheless (we ended up having to use another elevator at the end of the hall which was absolutely freezing). -The temperature control in the room was a bit wonky, so we could never really find a good balance between hot and cold. -The shower was utterly bizarre. Instead of being in the same room as the rest of the bathroom, there was a separate, tiny, and frankly somewhat claustrophobic room containing the shower stall and an oddly placed towel rack. These were more odd than bad, but the shower floor was honestly abhorrent. It is composed of hundreds of very small raised tiles with a few centimeters of space in between each unit. The end result is extreme discomfort if you want to take a shower longer than three minutes.

Spacious hotel with all services you would expect from a hotel: separate shower, bathroom with toilet, wardrobe with safe, hairdryer, TV and even a Bluetooth enabled radio. Staff is friendly. Wifi is free.

As far as cleanliness I give it a "B" Comfortable beds and spacious rooms Poor front desk communication amongst eachother. My children almost every night that we stayed in wanted to be intertained late night and the ping pong table was a great, but staff could never find net paddles and ping pong ball on multiple nights.

Terrific place. Location is great, right by the subway, short ride to Manhattan and also good clubs and bars in close proximity. The hotel its self is very nice and trendy inside. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Room wasnt the same as the pic on the website I saw and I mentioned it and they immediately moved me to one very similar. Free pasties and coffe and also a free drink voucher for me and my girlfriend for the hotel bar which was nice as well. Definitely gonna book there again on my next trip.

My observations, for good or bad depending on your taste What I didn't love: Can be noisy, walls thin,, and loud music on weekend nights,,, no bathtub,,,, no carpet,, can be a bit drafty,,, chilly,,, no coffee, hot water option in room,,,, lighting in room not great,,, gym subpar,,, a bit rough around the edges in general What I liked: close to subway line,, staff friendly, like the decor, very interesting and fun,,, bed firm which I prefer and dnt ever find in western world,, TV good with solid options for cable and HDMI inputs,,, shower worked good,, opaque curtains,,, lots of community space,,, restaurant is good,,, is good price for NYC,,, but you also get some riff raff with that unfortunately,, Wi-Fi seemed very solid I travel often to NYC and try different hotels, neighborhoods,,, and I will continue my search for the best all-around, hip and interesting for good price,,, if I cannot find good value, I would consider returning here, mainly for the firm bed =)

Loved this hotel large bathrooms and very modern rooms. The hotel restaurant is also really nice and fancy. It's also close to the train station. This hotel looks alot better then some of the hotels in the city.

I stayed at this hotel last Friday, the day before my daughters wedding. My daughter, me, my other daughter and bridesmaids got ready there. We had two suites, one right next to the other. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was great and attentive, thank you all so much for making this day go so smooth. A huge thank you to Jenny for all your help when making our reservation. We will definitely stay there again. Once again, thank you everyone so much!

Decent price for a boutique hotel. Rooms were nicely decorated and spacious. Staff was always friendly. Quick drive and easy access to the city. Walking distance from some great bars and restaurants. Literally 2 minute walk to the E, M, and R. Short walk to the N and Q. Only cons for me were the walls were a bit thin. Could clearly hear the neighbors who weren't shouting at all. Also the gym/fitness room could really use some updated equipment. I would recommend this place to a friend and I would stay here again.

Stayed here 1/8/16 we decided to stay here for the night after a night out on the town and so we don't drink and drive. the place is clean very cool decor. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was surprisingly good. The restaurant staff was really nice we chatted with everyone who worked in the restaurant. people if you stay here one thing you should know. This place is a very laid back hotel its not the ritz carlton. My room was nice, clean, air condition worked with no problems. My room did not have a fridge so if you want cold drinks maybe bring yourself a cooler for cold drinks. now to the owner of the paper factory. We were a one night stay, the front desk was kind enough to extend check out to 12:00. Please have your staff notified on who is a one night stay and tell housekeeping to leave the one night people alone. I was woken up by knocking at the door with a lady loudly saying housekeeping. With that I failed to hang the do not disturb sign on the door, after telling housekeeping we are ok I hung the sign. 20 min latter the phone wakes me up its the front desk asking if we are going to check out OMG yes front desk we are here until 12:00. If I needed more time in my room I would have notified you front desk. 30 min latter we get another knock at the door and now I am pissed I cant even get some sleep, I get up and ask who it is, the lady asked are you checking out soon.

My fiancee and I had a pretty good first experience at the paper factory hotel during this summer and decided to book another stay here during the winter season. However, our second stay was a bit of let down and we agree that we will not be returning to this hotel again in the future. We actually love the hotel decor, the lobby is very clean, modern, and hip. It has plenty of free parking and it is VERY close to the train with easy access to downtown Manhattan. We both agree that the customer service here during our first visit was great which is why we return for the second time. It just happen that NYC was very warm (in the 70s) when we visit during xmas this year. Upon check in into the room, we thought that room was very hot and stuffy. We had to call the front desk to get them to turn on the AC. 15 mins waiting in a very stuffy room, we had to made a second phone call and request room change thinking that the AC in the room we stay in was probably broken. They switch us to another room, but this room was half smaller then our original room. After switching the room, we waited another 15 mins, still nothing. We call the front desk and the front desk staff on the other end was not very friendly. He reply with a very annoyed voice "let me tell you what is happening here… this is a very old building, and it takes a while for the room to cool down, right now your room is 69 degree.

AMAZING! anyone who doesn't rate this a full 5 stars has no credibility. I just stayed here for the night and had a corner room on the 5th floor. Absolutely the best time I had all year. From the moment you walk in your greeted by awesome people like the front desk manager Marijana Boros. Awesome decor with a gorgeous bar. Did I tell you the hotel smells like heaven? Sometimes going to stay at hotels you can get a whiff of something awkward but from elevators to the lobby to the hallways, everything just smells so pleasant. Showers are stand up not sure if they have a soaking tub or not in other rooms. Love the apartment style rooms as well. Old school radio that has Bluetooth was a nice touch. If your thinking of staying in Queens this is your go to spot. Looking to come back very soon. I never wanted to leave. Such a great hotel and hope they stay around for much longer! -Marcel A.

This is a great boutique hotel for someone who is looking for something that is not your usual chain hotels. The hotel is beautifully decorated and is very unique. It is also right next to a subway entrance for easy access to Manhattan. The rooms do need a little bit more soundproofing though. I also like the commune kitchen area which is useful for eating in.

Unique decor. Located in industrial area of Long Island City. Neighborhood close to restaurants and Kaufman Astoria Studios. Rooms on the smallish side but with high ceilings and big windows. Our room overlooked huge hole of construction. Decor was interesting and unique. Rooms were clean and very warm but the water in the shower wasn't hot enough. Wish the towels were just a tad more lush. Price was reasonable.

This is my little gem, secret of a place, with integrity and second to none, this hotel is a place created with love, and meticulously planned decorative, NY art work, with book's upon books, "The Paper Factory Hotel is a Time Machine of eclecticism that honestly works so well with me, if you go, tell them a friend sent you, and you will be welcomed just as one of the family! 3+ star hotel? what a joke! I don't usually give low ratings, but would want to give 0 star if there was an option. Regret didn't pay attention to people giving 1 star ratings. We traveled with senior and child. Once we got there, I asked the front desk staff to give us a relatively quiet room as I read complains about the noise overnight. Bingo, we got a room right next to the construction site and couldn't sleep at all the whole night! The staff also gave a misleading parking instruction. We got a parking ticket the next morning. I talked to the manager who seemed reasonable and friendly. She agreed to reimburse us the cost and to send me an email confirmation about the transaction. However, nothing — neither the refund nor the email showed up after 2 weeks. I called back and talked to her again. She promised to process the refund and send an email confirmation. No surprise, nothing happened! Poor service, low efficient, horrible management. Pay attention to people spending time to give out warnings. DO NOT book this hotel!

The hotel lobby and rooms were really nice. The beds were very comfortable. The subway was close but went to city field foe the game. Getting there was ok bit getting back terrible. It took 4 hours to get back. Trains were over packed not enough running. Then got back to the hotel went to have a night cap and was told last call was half hour ago. We were told earlier that the bar would be open until 4 am. Got up the next morning to NO hot water. Also no coffee pots or refrigerators in room. Went to check out told the staff there was no hot water and all I got was… sorry. No reduction in price or offer of something. Also coffee in lobby but you had to pay for it. Really disappointed. Won't be going back or recommdation to anyone.

Stayed here one week, may 2015. We chose this hotel because it's special character. It is a perfect example of adaptive reuse of old buildings. Rooms are simple, straight, but big enough and with original ornaments. Very friendly personal. Subway at 50 meters to Manhattan and JFK. Value for money. Minor issues: missed the coffeemaker, room bit dusty (but quickly cleaned) and bit noisy (hallways and neighbours). Negative: the hotel really charges your credit card for a deposit, despite their assurance it was only a reservation: $50 per night, $300 for 6 nights. My bank charged two times the transaction costs. The hotel did not react on my mails.

Loved it! Stay there for the 4th of July weekend. Right across from the subway, out of midtown so a lot less hectic, but close enough to it. The rooms are nice. The bed is a little on the firm side but definitely not a deal breaker. I would stay here again :-)

My wife and I got married last october and asked all our guests to stay at the paper factory hotel. This was a DIY wedding so we were coordinating a lot of vendors. The paper factory hotel is the only one that we absolutely regret working with. While the staff was consistently pleasant, the beds are comfortable, and the decor is truly beautiful, the general disorganization and inability of management to follow through on even the simplest requests made what should have been a simple and easy experience into a stressful and unpleasant one. Communication is the biggest issue. When we gave information to someone at the hotel, it never seemed to get through to anyone else. We had repeated difficulties getting the hotel to give us an updated list of our guests attending the event. The discount code we were given was disabled multiple times, without letting us know, so many of our guests ended up booking at a higher rate. Then, at the last minute, we discovered a travelzoo discount for much less than our initial discount rate. Once we pointed this out, the hotel offered to apply the lower rate to all of our guests. But then the next time we called back, nobody knew about this promise. In the morning, during a breakfast we had arranged with them in a guest lounge, the fire alarm went off. We were told not to worry because this had been happening every day for a week and the electrician would be coming in the next few days.

Never had worse hotel stay experience. If assuming everything goes smooth and never had to deal with any changes, then I think it could be nice. Nice decorations. Otherwise, they really have bad management. For me, here is what I have seen and experienced while I have to deal with them over front desk: 1. ) One guy had to change rooms twice because both times he walked into rooms with others already checked in it. 2. ) We were transfered to a different hotel when checked in, a lodge called Q4 where either we share rooms with 5 others or a single bed hotel room. We booked a room with two double beds. We couldn't bear with the room because it is right next to train. Very noisy and unpleasant living conditions. 3. ) Even at the transfered hotel, we had to wait for almost an entire afternoon because there is some issues with Paper Factory's communication with Q4. We could not check in until they verified with Paper Factory Hotel. Nobody ever picks up the phone after we first get through them. 4. ) Cannot bear with the transfered room, we would expect it to be not very different from PFH because we paid $400 for two nights: one room. We walked back to PFH, another long wait, we were told no hotel rooms are available until I insists on meeting their manager. She eventually assigned us a room. We do not understand why lied to us in the beginning. 5. ) we were told by other customers that this place is overbooked that day, which explains the chaos.

Me and my friends wanted to go out for a drink and listen to good music we choose the bar at the hotel. the food was good the drinks were unbelievable. The band played nice music, we enjoyed our time very much.

Nice/ modern decorations but staff is a bit unprofessional. Contrary to the website, breakfast isn't included, but you aren't missing much. Unless you're using a third party site, the rate isn't worth it, 130 a night is over priced IMHO. Only one "bellboy" was great, she's a weight lifter who helped us move all of our bags. Look elsewhere if you can.

Had an amazing time at this quirky hotel which has some amazing features. Rooms were fab, complimentary breakfast was very good — and the subway into Manhattan is literally 1 minute away.

I can't tell you how happy my family was with our recent Bar Mitzvah at Mundo and the Paper Factory. We live in Manhattan and were looking for a unique environment for our celebration. We looked at many locations in the city and in this neighborhood, but couldn't find a location that satisfied all of our needs. When we first visited Mundo at the Paper Factory, we knew that this would be a perfect place for our party. The manager and staff were amazingly accommodating and provided a great deal of support in regards to planning our party. They provided us guidance regarding the decorations, food choices, organization of space, placement of entertainment, and helped manage the entire evening. The decor at the Mundo and the Paper Factory are amazing. We received great feedback from our guests in regard to the food and environment. The Paper Factory and Mundo would be a hotel that you would expect to see in Soho. My family all stayed at the hotel, and were very happy. Thanks to all of the staff at Mundo and the Paper Factory for helping us put together an amazing and memorable evening.

Great ambiance and vibe. The decor alone distinguishes this from other LIC/ queens hotels. Really stylish.

The minimalist decor is not a problem in and of itself. However, the lack of carpeting in the hallways results in loud noise when a cart or luggage are going by. We were kept up all night with the noise of rolling wheels. Additionally, any voices in the hallway echo into the rooms. Another negative is the hard as a rock beds. Not at all comfortable. The lack of hotel parking is another problem as the streets probably aren't the safest. The staff at the front desk is friendly, but not too helpful. They seem to be inexperienced. In addition, when I called to make the reservation, I was told that I had to call the next day after 12pm to speak to the person who was responsible for groups. I would not recommend this hotel. Definitely not a good place to get sleep and overpriced for what you get.

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR WHOLE VACATION RUINED! My fiance and I were excited to stay here, the hotel was okay, nothing fancy or good, we had minor problems, but we were okay. Until we left NYC and continued with our vacation in Washington DC. We started trying to use our credit cards in DC, only for them not to work. So we called our credit card company in GERMANY, the representative then told us, that our cards were maxed out, which shouldn't have been possible, he then told us that it was because this Hotel, this Paper Factory Hotel had charged both of our credit cards, then reserved extra money on it that was being held, so neither of our cards could be used. We called the Paper Factory Hotel last night at seven-thirty in the evening, to be told we had to wait for a manager, I told them that was unacceptable, so they had their sales and billing team look at it. No response an hour later, so I called them again. I left a message, then I waited until eight thirty the next morning, an hour and a half AFTER their MANAGER was supposed to be in. I was told, Oh sorry, the manager is in late today, he will be here ten today. What kind of crapshot idiotic business is this? We have had to cancel our plans for a whole day in our vacation, we have had to cancel many events we had planned, which required a credit card for us to reserve items like bikes or boats, all because this stupid Hotel screwed up!

Why are the hallways bigger than the rooms? There is no cable, the ac is literally BLOWING ON YOU as you lay down. A cold in the summer? Thanks. The bathroom makes absolutely no sense. The pictures don't truly show the room size. Tiny. OH AND THE BEST PART? my gf took me here for my bday since we were dining in LIC. She saw the size of the room then the look on my face and went downstairs to try to upgrade and they tell us the have NOTHING AVAILABLE. Yet. On every website there were king suites available, the hotel was a ghost town — — OH WAIT and I found out an "acquaintance" of mine works there and she told me she would've upgraded me if she knew I was there. When I told her they were booked she LAUGHED and said they straight up lied! Thanks for the not so perfect weekend I was looking for paper factory. Oh and I love that they wont post my review on Yelp.

Not great. The Wi-Fi coverage was horrible. There is no cable TV although there was a TV with what I assume was on free antenna TV. The staff was nice but not very helpful. The hotel itself was nice and fun. I would only go again if they fix the Wi-Fi and get cable. Certainly wasnt worth the price we paid.
