It's a nice hotel. When you walk in you can definitely feel the old school luxury. We got upgraded to a room with a living room (never used it though) was again old school luxury — lots of marble and darker woods and beige carpets. Problem for me was I feel they need to update the technology in the rooms… Had tiny non HD TV and I feel the rooms were getting tired. Breakfast was included and we had buffet, it wasn't that special and reminded me of a ok level business hotel in Tokyo. Again nice hotel with good service and not a bad location also wasn't overcrowded like some hotels can be, but I think I would stay somewhere else next time… Just didn't feel special.

Room was nice. View was great. The mini bar was crazy expensive. 16 dollars for an ounce of makers is a bit up there.

My group came for Sunday Jazz Brunch at Kitano Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by Tony Middleton Band. Great selection of song with style. The food selection eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken, pasta, and fish. Also a salad buffet and variety of breads and desserts. Recommend Sunday Brunch.

I took my girlfriend there for a great night of jazz, cocktails, and dinner. She was extremely happy with all three. I would definitely recommend staying here. If it's on the weekend, the jazz show is a MUST!

Super clean and well kept hotel (compared with what you can find in NY at a decent price! ). I have been upgraded in a corner room for 2 night and it was fab! But also standard room are very nice. Food also delicious. A little bit of variety in breakfast would be recommended… they don't have gluten free offer, but a part of that Absolutely recommended!

Lovely hotel in midtown with a contemporary Japanese theme. No fitness center but ask for passes at the front desk and you can work out down the block at NY sports club.

I love this place. The staff, especially the night manager, were professional, friendly and courteous. The clean up-to-date rooms are complimented by the bathrooms which feature marble walls, counters and showers. Overall a great place to stay if your in New York City.

I stayed at the Kitano Hotel for 3 Nights. Its really close to Times Square which was a good thing since we wanted to see what the excitement was about. The room I reserved was the Superior King room. I requested to have a window view and was happy that I got it. I got there before the check in time, 3PM and requested to be checked in early. We were able to check in early since the cleaning had been done as told by the front desk receptionist. The Staff was really friendly. 5/5 Customer service. The Room was really clean as well! My girlfriend had a bad night the night before we were supposed to check out. I gave the front desk a call and the manager gave us an extra hour to check out w/ no fee. This helped us so much and I was really grateful for this, so I decided to write a review. Overall we both enjoyed this stay. We both give it a 5/5 and will visit back if we were to come back for our own little vacation.

Hotel is well located (very close to the Grand Central Station). The room was smelly. I complained about it in the first day, but they never found a different room. There are better options in the same area for the same price.

I visited the hotel recently, the rooms are spacious and the service very professional. The Japanese style permeates the entire building.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel itsef was extremely clean. On the 18th floor there is access to a balcony with a beautiful view of the empire state building.

Perfect. Refined and elegant hotel, spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect for a vacation in New York: a 5-minute walk to Grand Central, 10 from the Empire State Building (with sensational views of the latter from the window). Absolutely recommend it.

Wonderful hotel experience.

Excellent yet discrete service.

Last week, a dozen family members gathered in NYC from California, Washington DC and Ohio for the sad occasion of a funeral. We were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected upgrade to a suite which allowed us the opportunity to congregate and reminisce, which would have otherwise been difficult or impossible. The hotel was exquisite, the staff hospitable, and the location perfect for our needs. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Kitano New York for making a difficult week pleasant and memorable.

Had a wonderful experience here. We only stayed overnight, but the staff was beyond friendly and the rooms were very clean. The jazz brunch was also very nice and a great way to start off a Sunday. There's lots to do in the area as well. All and all, it was a great experience.

Stayed one night. Good experience and very helpful staff. Rooms are nice but not too extravagant. You'll find nicer rooms elsewhere in midtown. No complaints though. Check Priceline for deals at this hotel.
