Stayed here 4 times over the summer. The employees are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. Rooms are clean and breakfast was yummy.

Good sized rooms and comfortable beds, friendly staff and clean. The restaurant was also good and had a nice selection of foods for all dietary needs.

Good service and rooms right across from the University of Albany. Free parking and clean place always sleep well there. Hard to find and is set back from road. Missed it twice so far at night!

Typical (nice) Hilton Garden. Bed upgraded back to traditional mattress from the air beds the entire HGI chain had been using. Great breakfast in the morning, and very friendly staff. No dinner spots within walking, but plenty of options within a couple mile drive. Right at SUNY, if that is important to your choice.

This hotel has improved since last year. The rooms are about the same (still very good), but the breakfast cook, I think his name is Jordan, did a great job this morning. Fast, and everything was cooked perfectly. A+, would stay again!

My room was amazing. The hot tub and pool were clean and warm. The staff and breakfast are amazing!

We had to wait an extra hour to check in. We were not told about the massive amount of construction that was taking place next door which was all you could hear, and to top it all off lost power and the back up generators barely had enough power to operate the elevators. I will never stay at a Hilton again and would have gone to one of the many other hotels near this one however couldn’t because the still were going to charge me regardless to stay. Not worth the money one bit.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was great. Lots of construction going on next door. The parking is scarce even though they have a small 24 hour garage.

I’m a lifetime Hilton member and generally like staying there for personal or business trips. However, Hilton Garden Inn Albany disappointed me. When I checked in they, they have me keys for the room that had already been occupied. It’s embarrassing to try entering into a room where someone is already staying there. After correcting, I was given a corner room which was extremely loud due to traffic on Washington Avenue. As of July 2018, Hotel or surrounding buildings are under construction, so the mornings are very loud. Lastly, I asked for a bottle of water (summer time) and the reception charged me for a bottle of water for Hilton lifetime member. Breakfast is $9.99, I believe but I had paid for it during my booking. Overall, I think rooms need sound proofing, staff needs more training. Stay there only if other hotels are booked in the area and you want to be close to CSNE.

Always a safe bet. The beds are not terribly comfortable and the rooms are small, but they're clean and quiet. Also, the breakfast at Hilton Garden Inn's is tasty. This location is no exception. Solid choice for a quick stay.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Beautiful and clean hotel with tasty food at the restaurant… pool and jacuzzi super clean and private. All around gorgeous hotel!

Nice enough but better selection in the area. Hotel entrance and parking very busy and noisy due to nearby construction. No included breakfast. Needs an update to stay competitive with nearby choices.

Everything was great just like any other Hilton except for one thing: The free-access computers close to the elevators were slow and they crashed often. The Internet Explorer settings were messed up too — I could only open one tab per window, which sucked, but it was ok. Otherwise, awesome! I hope the hotel could fix up the computers :)

I was here for a business meeting but we got a big snow storm and I decided to spend the night. The desk person was awesome, they were very full with the storm but she got me a room and honored our group price. The restaurants in town were closed due to the snow so we ate at the hotel restaurant, which is really just some tables in the lobby, but the food was decent and the prices are not bad. The service in the restaurant lacks, our waiter was often missing and did not ask if we needed anything. We had to hunt him down on several occasions for things like mayo or bar drinks. The room was very clean and nice, bed is super comfortable. I slept very well. My only complaint on this stay was running out of hot water 5 minutes into my morning shower, but it wasn't a deal breaker since I have the same issue at home!

We had a pleasant, but brief one night stay there in July, 2017. Our room was a suite because there were 3 of us and the room was large enough for us to feel comfortable. The front desk staff were professional and helpful. What stops me from giving this hotel a 5th star is that breakfast was $10.00 per person. That’s not much if everyone has an omelet, but my wife and daughter typically have milk with fruit or a roll of some kind and it’s ridiculous to spend that amount fo…r such a small breakfast. To the hotels credit they refunded $30 to me which I was very pleased by. I just think that with most hotels in the area offering free breakfasts this hotel should too. And, having traveled extensively for business for many years and staying at many Hilton Garden Inns this about the only one that I can think of that didn’t offer free breakfasts. That being said, we would stay there again.

Two night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and very pleased with the accommodations. The room was very clean. I had breakfast both mornings and available were fresh omelets, fresh fruit, cereal and breads. The only concern was construction occurring in the shaver parking lot. My room overlooked the construction, however, the construction wasn't a bother and didn't occur while I was in the room.

Very nice and clean. Lovely room we had. However I thought breakfast was included with the rate but it wasn’t. Nevertheless we were happy with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you.

It was Modern. It had an indoor pool a hot tub continental breakfast exercise room and for me the most important and hot very hot water. I stayed for two nights both rooms were exactly the same. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were comfortable. All the employees were very nice and helpful. I would stay there again if I had the opportunity.

Hilton Diamond member… stayed at this property. Wonderful experience with Front Desk team, but service staff at the Bar & Grill (both last night and this morning) were generally unfriendly aand unhelpful. Kitchen staff were great, but the servers on both occassions just obviously don't want to be there. Otherwise an excellent facility, and major perk with the indoor parking!

Real easy to find. Lovely lobby. Extremely attentive service. Close to amenities.

Conference room was comfortable. Lighting was appropriate. Acoustics were good. Overall, good space for a workshop.

This hotel was clean and the staff was professional, which is what I expected. What I did not expect was such incredible food from room service. Everything was freshly made and really delicious. The delivery was quick and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend opting for the room service instead of searching out a restaurant in the area.

My stay was just ok. I liked the comfort of the bed and the room was clean. However the room smelled a little musty when I walked in and the closet was missing one of its sliding doors. The Construction was annoying. First of all, they were by the entrance and I had to bypass it because a truck was in the way. Then once I got in I had to wait for a dump truck to move in order to get into the parking lot. The construction next door also woke me up very early the next morning. Not worth the price!

In a hurry to leave on the last morning of our trip, I forgot my IPad on the bed. I called the hotel as soon as I realized I forgot it. The front desk told me they were not aware but would leave message for housekeeping. Never received a response. My husband reach out to the Hilton Corporation before we got a response. Similar to several other reviews below; it was 'never' found. Extremely poor customer service. Hilton Garden Inn typically has great service, would not recommend this location.

Booked room for one night and no mention of construction. Arrived close to midnight after long day on road and noticed good chunk of parking was roped off due to major construction. Asked at front desk if room was near construction and told it wasn't. Room number was written down. Got to room and tried opening door. Doesn't work. Tried a couple more times then voice from inside says to go away. Went to front desk and the wrong number was written. Got to correct room, cleaned up and went to bed. At about 7:10 am… BANG BANG beep beep BANG BANG… major construction right outside our window. Breaking up concrete and big diggers operating. Very loud to say the least and literally outside our window. Complained at front desk. Said they were sorry for the mistake but could not credit us for room as we reserved through an online agency (credit card rewards). They did give my wife some vouchers for a free breakfast. I went back to bed trying to get some sleep with pillow over my head. We put the do not disturb sign on the door of course. At 9:05 am, I hear knocking at door. Just as I get out of bed the maid opens the door and she stares at me in my underwear. Sorry she says and closes the door. I put pants on and check the door… indeed the do not disturb sign is hanging on the handle. Just an overall lousy experience and obviously lack of focus by employees.

I ended up here after a horrible experience over at the Ramada Plaza Albany. This place is 1000% better than there. It was literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air upon entering. The rooms are clean, airy and bright. The staff at the front desk and breakfast were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is renovating their parking lot… so parking was a tiny bit of a challenge, but nothing major. The entrance to the lobby is clean and well lit and modern… really lovely. The only con is I wish their sign that's out near the road was illuminated. We drove pass the hotel almost every time. You have to be looking up in the air to know that you've arrived to the property. Other than that. No complaints. I had a wonderful stay here… and I would stay here again and again.

The night we stayed here, a child with disabilities forgot her blanket in the room. When we realized the next day we called right away, and we were told that nothing is ever thrown away that is found in the room. We rearranged our travel plans and went back to the hotel, and booked the same room to look for the blanket. The house keeping manager assured us nothing would be thrown away, but somehow the blanket was never found. This blanket had been extremely important to the child since birth, who could not sleep with it or understand why it was missing. Very poor customer service, to not care about personal belongings, and to promise nothing is thrown away when left behind, when that is the only thing that could have happened to the blanket.

My daughter was on business trip so was booked here… it was a nice experience, the staff was helpful and nice, the pool and hot tub were a lil dirty but still enjoyed our stay.

Very tidy and nice hotel. The staff are very helpful and efficient. The restaurant is also good.

Room was very comfortable and clean. Beds were very comfortable and sheets were clean. Keurig in the room with a couple choices for coffee and good creamers. Temperature in the room was well maintained as I adjusted the thermostat. All in all, it was a great experience!

The room was clean and nice, very spacious. We only stayed one night and didn't use any amenities, but there was a fitness room and a nice-looking restaurant. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant.

I stay 1-2 nights a month. I have never had bad service! Everyone there is more helpful than I every expect. Amanda the night server is wonderful, Sammy makes the BEST quesadilla EVER, Max the morning server is always more than attentive and Regina, Catherine and everyone at the front desk are very helpful and efficient. The rooms are clean and spacious. I nightly recommend staying here!

Great stay as usual, my hotel of choice when in the area. Great service and amenities.

Work related conference meeting. Meeting room was setup very well with tables and lighting. We had a buffet breakfast the was delicious including eggs, bacon, hash browns, french toast, and various pastries. Coffee and a few juices are also provided.

Lovely hotel with excellent customer service. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and were given complimentary drinks and dessert at the hotel restaurant. When our refrigerator stopped working, the front desk called three times to make sure the situation was taken care of. Loved this place, will be back!

What a great place. Exemplary service and a breakfast buffet, second to none! Will go back soon. Indoor pool was a little small.
