Please note: I was a guest of Plymouth, however the NY staff I spoke to on the phone was just as rude. This is a brief review of what happened. This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in! The property itself is very nice, however the management staff RUINED a birthday getaway. The night started off lovely, in the Bistro, our waitress was fabulous, the food was divine, especially the truffle cheese. We leave for dinner and return to experience one of the worst nights I have ever had on a vacation. We left the property, had dinner at a fantastic restaurant, then returned to be treated as pieces of garbage. As we enter our room, it smelt of a sewage back up. We open the slider and the door to air out the room, call the front desk and a manager shows up. To say he had an attitude would be an understatement. He comes in smells the mini-fridge and rudely states, it doesn't smell in here. We had not even unpacked our bags, the beds were made and we asked to be moved into another room. 10 minutes go by, we go to the front desk, as he never returned. We are again rudely informed, "we are sold out, we have had numerous noise complaints, you need to leave, there is a 2 strike policy. " Please tell me how in 15 minutes we had SO many noise complaints? We again asked for another room, and again were rudely informed the hotel was sold out. In the midst of this, a couple walks in, they are booked into a room right in front of us. Sold out, huh? They did not have a reservation, as it was around 12AM. I asked why they can get a room, and then I was asked to leave the property. They did refund my money, but that was not the point. I had planned a birthday getaway that is now ruined because of the staff at this hotel. This is a brief insight of what happened, this hotel caused emotional distress not only to me but the others in my party. They need to retrain their management in how customer service works, I get it management does not want to clean the rooms, but as stated above we had not even unpacked. Other complaints, talk about the RUDE staff, well they are beyond rude. Additionally, the front desk in New York, told us she would ask us to leave as well because we seemed to be having too much fun. The reason we reached out to the NY property, was to try and resolve the matter with another manager, but of course she was just as rude. NEVER again will I be staying at this property. I am beside myself at the treatment we received. It was so bad we canceled all of our spa appointments and will be traveling elsewhere to celebrate a ruined birthday. At least this is a birthday we will NEVER forget, in a NOT good way. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, business practices. Horrible staff. We are still traumatized by the treatment we received.
