Review of Motel 6-East Syracuse, NY 2*

1. You have to pay a DAILY FEE for Internet! FREE internet is a must have in 2015. I have not stayed in a hotel where you had to pay for internet. A definite deterrent for future stays. 2. A. Bathrooms not very clean and had plumbing problems. Tub drains were clogged. When they came to fix, they left dirt from boots/shoes all over the bathroom floor without cleaning it up. Also left dirt on vanity and toilet I'm assuming from tools. Definitely not a good look. 2. B. Bathrooms smelled like urine. Possibly from plumbing issues as they still smelled like urine after they were cleaned. 2. C. Daily bathroom cleaning was done without water! Also may have used cleaning cloths from other rooms without rinsing them out because each day, other people's hair was left on the bathtub and floor after they cleaned. Needless to say this did not feel very sanitary. 3. Door lock did not work properly. Had to turn lever up to open instead of the usual downward direction. There was also a glitch which make it a little more difficult to turn up. Had to use the key card just to close the door when exiting. The latch prevented the door from closing otherwise. And again had to lift the glitchy handle up in order for it to close. Annoying. 4. Sheets & blankest had cigarette burns. I would have thought a hotel chain would have cleaned and inspected before putting them in the rooms. 5. The room I was Initially assigned to had a FILTHY air conditioning unit with a broken top. I requested another room due to this and cigarette burns in bed covers and on bathroom counter top, and broken screen in downstairs window. I can say they fortunately were able to accommodate me with another room but they had issues 1-5 above so still was not a most desirable stay. The decor was different for a hotel which would have been refreshing had it not been for all the above issues.
