Nice hotel down in the continual renovation that is Canalside. Place is clean, staff is pleasant. There is a new full service Marriott next door and typically I would tend to gravitate to that but with Eric Church at the KeyBank Center tonight and the Bills playing at home tomorrow rooms were premium priced — like most courtyards during Covid the Bistro is only open for Breakfast and coffee in the morning. So you can’t have dinner. Parking is $15 a night everything is in walking distance.

Very clean, nice shower head and so very clean shower and bathroom. Didn't want to exit shower to go to work this morning. Nice entrance and entry area.

Upon arrival, I was informed that they had over booked and they were aware of this fact as of the 8th of August, my stay was on the 28th. Do you think they would reach out and bring this to my attention prior to me checking in? Nope, no phone call no email just informed when I attempted to check in at 9:30 that night. What makes it worse is the individual I was traveling with for work, booked after I did and she was given a room. I will out of my way to never stay at another Marriott and I suggest you do the same.

Friendly staff, clean room. We stay here for a concert at the canalside it was walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to have a staycation especially if you get a room with a view of canalside… water is so calming (and so is their whirlpool! )

Nice property with courteous professional staff. Would be 5 stars if not for the lack of place to hang towels and other items in the bathroom. 4.5 stars if that was an option. The reasonably priced valet parking is a nice feature.

This Courtyard was well run and maintained. The front desk staff and cafe staff were cordial and efficient! The view of Lake Erie was lovely! There is the Panorama restaurant which I reviewed in the building.

Don’t stay here. Service has went downhill. It used to be good. It isn’t anymore. I checked in tonight and they put me in a room that was clearly smoked in and tried to tell me it wasn’t smoked in. Instead of offering solutions, the front desk kept stating they were sold out. I was traveling with a co-worker. They asked me to switch rooms with my non-smoking co-worker. Then they encouraged me to share a room with her (we are both independently married and work togther — which means extremely inappropriate). They offered no solutions (i. E. Change rooms, call other hotels, comp a room, etc. ). Awful customer service. Just lazy with no attempts to tell the customer that they understood you booked a non-smoking room and we didn’t manage our property appropriately. The only solution offered was to have a manager call me the next day. After I mentioned about them finding me another hotel room somewhere else, they offered to put me at a hotel by the airport. However, they stated my co-worker that I car pulled with would stay at the current hotel. Finally, a security guard for the hotel came out of the back room and was the only sane human being, stated he understood my issues and helped them find me a non-smoking room in the hotel after 20 minutes of haggling. This should never be the case when I just got done driving 3.5 hours to get to the hotel. Horrible customer service.

Rooms are excellent, Staffing other hand needs Improvement. Front desk personnel seems like she just started. Valet parking took all day getting my car couldn't find it. I stayed at this hotel in 2014 had an excellent experience. But none of the original staff is here.

Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo Downtown is a clean, modern, well appointed hotel. The location is super convenient — the metro is right across the street, and the arena is a block away. There is a restaurant, a bar, a fitness center, and a pool.

Very friendly, attentive staff and nice guest rooms and bathrooms. Very nice shower, no tub. Convenient downtown location. Perhaps the worst site plan ever for the entry way necessitates mandatory $15 valet parking charge. "Turning lemons into lemonade" for the hotel. I didn't use the gym or pool, but they looked to be what you would expect for a hotel of this size. As the hotel's website advises, use 125 Washington Street in your GPS.

Fairly new hotel with a contemporary look. Rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious and bathroom is well supplied. Staff is customer friendly and professional and they do have valet parking and also a bistro where you can grab a bite to eat or drink.

Pretty nice hotel. Specious, clean and decently furnished room. Rooms feature smart TVs with access to your favorite entertainment apps like Netflix or HBO Go. The only reason I did not rate it as 5 star is that there was nothing spectacular in this hotel. Excellent choice for a quick business trip.

Courtyards aren't exactly known for their luxury, but this one is GREAT! It's a new hotel so it's clean and beautiful. It's in the Canalside neighborhood on the water just south of downtown Buffalo. Since it's on the water, it's very kid friendly and the train stops right outside the hotel. The lobby is clean, big and even has a 24 hour Starbucks and a restaurant serving decent food. The rooms are big and clean. We'd gladly stay here again!

Had lunch at pizza plant in the Donovan building, it was absolutely deserted, and I can't figure out why. The food was excellent and the service was fast. Would definitely go again. Would rate 5 stars if they had some music playing to take away the feeling of an empty restaurant.

The room was awful. The thermostat didn't work and the temperature kept rising. They sent someone up and he couldn't get it to work. They ended up having to provide us with a fan. My newborn had to sleep in almost nothing because she was sweating. Then I accidentally left my bracelet on the table and conveniently no one could find it. They clearly do not have honest people working for them. I will NEVER stay here again. I don't recommend anyone else staying here either. Please note we had 3 rooms and the thermostats didn't work in ANY of the rooms!

This hotel was very nice and had professional, friendly staff. Everything was clean and my room was very spacious. This all made my stay very enjoyable. Had zero problems during my stay and will definitely be back when in the Buffalo area.

Great location, clean, large rooms, indoor pool and hot tub. Only con is the tiny Starbucks/cafe in lobby for fresh food.

Clean, modern, and comfortable rooms. The bistro in the lobby is convenient for a quick bite, but is pricier than other options within walking distance. The staff is super nice.

Terrible. My King suite wasn’t cleaned properly & looked to be thrown together, not enough towels and washcloths, I was told there was breakfast but there wasn’t, no room service, & I realized my TV wasn’t working at 12am when I couldn’t sleep. All in all just a bad experience for a quick getaway downtown with my son. He enjoyed the pool.

Friendly service. Great location, especially if you want to catch a baseball or hockey game.

Can’t begin to rave enough about this hotel. From the minute we arrived (valet was just fine) everything and everyone was delightful. Front desk staff were just amazing. Took care of me and grandsons with such kindness. Every thing about this hotel was top notch. Room was fantastic. Pool area and jacuzzi were just awesome (very important to us) this was a Staycation for us. The decor was just so cool with old Buffalo pics incorporated every where. I’d say the only complaint and it’s no ones fault is the front desk is situated right in front of the door opening and closing. When it’s — 5 outside it makes lobby area a bit chilly. And that’s where the Food area is located too. Thank you again Staff of Courtyard Marriott.

Room was good size, staff was friendly, did find a cup of leftover juice in fridge and the area behind food station wasn't checked, valet was friendly.

Beautiful spacious room. Right by KeyBank centre. Perfect for attending the world Juniors game. Good amenities and clean room. Valet was quick and prompt.

Beautiful room and perfect for a quick work trip. Hotel has a restaurant within the hotel in addition to the hotel restaurant which was nice to have. Close to a lot of restaurants, ice skating and the naval park. Easy walk to several attractions.

Was a very nice and clean hotel. Wish we had more time to check out the pool and spa area but we were only there one night. Shower was huge and refreshing… beds clean and comfortable. Overrall a really nice experience!

It would be great if not for the train tracks. Close to canal and popular establishments. ALSO has great pizza place behind lobby.

Nice clean hotel. One of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Everything that we needed was there. Close to lots of restaurants and the canalside area. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great interiors, spacious rooms, good service. I especially appreciate the historic photos of Buffalo decorating the interior. The price was appropriate for quality, but definitely not cheap.

Our room was amazing! The beds were so very comfortable and the staff was very nice. We enjoyeda seeing in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. They only thing that marred our stay was there noisy party next door that went on until almost 2am despite a call to the front desk at 11:30.

Great views, great location, great workers. We always stay here during a Sabres game. Just wish that they would either not charge so much when it's half full, or at least include the parking fee. I knock off one star only because of the expense. If the parking was included then I would give it 5 again.

Great views. Clean rooms friendly service. Valet parking is nice, no need to try to find a spot. The only thing I did not like was the fridge was so small. We were in a double room 4 people we couldn't fit our left overs from the Cheesecake Factory : (Other than that it was an AMAZING stay!

Room was very nice. Everything was great actually. The only downside was no free breakfast. They only have valet parking, which isn't bad. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Room had some strange furniture that wasn't comfortable or practical. Desk had no light, phone, or power to charge phone/tablet. There were outlets under the wall mounted TV and by the coffee maker which was perched on a wedge shaped wall. Good overnight place to sleep but I'll probably choose another hotel or at least check out different room.

I LOVE this place! We visit Buffalo yearly and this hotel is amazing. There's a view of the canal side, not even a 5 minute walk to get to it from this hotel. The staff is friendly, and out of the two times we've stayed it's been wonderful. The pool and hot tub are relaxing — it's never crowded. The valet is a great plus, as well. Will definitely be staying here when we come back!

Clean, nice decor. Nice pool area, friendly staff, great location. Phone in my room did not work (to call guest services), I could not get temperature in room lower than 75 degrees and my leather steering wheel was gauged after being (mandatory) valet parked.

Very nice stay. Rooms were very modern and appeared new. There is a $12 charge for hotel parking per day.

Feels like a new hotel (perhaps it is). The rooms are fresh and well equipped, the staff are excellent and the downtown location is perfect. Parking is a bit of a pain, especially if you try and self park as the back or side doors will not provide you with access to the hotel forcing you to walk the entire perimeter to gain access. No fun in the winter!

It was OK. I thought I booked a room with 2 queen beds but ended up with a king which was hard with 4 ladies. Not a lot of amenities for the price but everyone was friendly and they did a good job for as busy as they were.

This was a great experience. My boyfriend and I love to get rooms and see how nice they are. Well this was it hands down! the room was spacious and beautiful! bedroom was nice and tucked away in another room. They o oy provided us with decaffeinated coffee but that's okay. It was well worth the money. The food is good except the no room service. They have free infused water that is delicious. The pool and hot tub area was so nice and felt like you were outside. The hot tub was nice and hot and the pool was pretty warm as well. By far my favorite hotel. So glad they made it in downtown buffalo. Will be returning for a mother daughter get away!

Room exceeded my expectations however I didn't feel the guest services were very accommodating. No room service and the 'Bistros' isn't quite a restaurant. The hot tub was filled with little kids all night and service refused me a late check out which made for a rushed morning after a late night. The stay would have been better if the bistro was open later and delivered room service and of the family guests were more respectful of the other guests.

What did I like about it you ask? NOTHING! I waited with my friends for over 2 hours waiting for them to give us our room. This is highly unprofessional. They ended up coming to us and giving us a different room, but this had one bed and we had 5 people… worst. Hotel. Experience. Ever.
