Swan Bay Resort - 1000 Islands Premier RV Park & Marina Resort

This was such a great place with such nice workers. Everyone was friendly and the sites were cement pads with perfectly trimmed grass and full hookup! The camp owners dog was the CUTEST thing, too! I do have a picture, but he was always moving, so its pretty impossible to get a good one. I love this dog. Also, they had a BIG camp store with so many shirts, swimsuits, purses, kitchenware, toys, etc. And, there was a grocery store right next to the campground in case you need food. I loved this place!

This is a very nice and well run RV Resort. The pads are clean and very level. The sites are larger them most and most have a view of the river. The park is located very conveniently to the highway and many attractions in the area. Highly recommended.

We were joining more than 15 other families at swan Bay resort for our family vacation that we booked in January. We also reserved one of their pontoon boats to enjoy the beautiful 1000 island sites from the water. Upon check in and we’re given a map & the usual campground rules etc to sign. Our site was large, clean & near the dome of the other families we were vacationing with. The following day we were told to return to the main office to check out the boat we reserved however one of the staff (kelly) came to us in the morning & explained the boat had been damaged & would be unavailable until their mechanic could go through it. We were disappointed at this point but understand unforeseen things happen — we told kelly it’s ok we understand not a problem, she told us we should hopefully have a boat in 3-4 days & offered us their oldest pontoon boat free for 1 day as compensation — we thanked her & accepted. She told us to meet the dock master & he would go over everything we needed to know about the boat & their rules. We waited 20-30 minutes at the dock, the attendant wasn’t there to give us keys & info. So I texted kelly — she didnt reply. As the week went on we had another visit from kelly explaining their mechanic was hurt, the parts were delayed an extra day & we might be able to get on a boat by the end of the week. Keep in mind our entire family vacation was planned based on boating & enjoyng the 1000 islands.

Camped here for a special occasion, higher priced than most. Sites were concrete and level. Site 204 fire pit was under water after rain. Price Chopper next door was a plus. No quiet time, Tiki bar music was pounding after midnight on opposite end of campground. Biggest downfall was having to pay $10 per day on top of camping rate for electricity. Not advertised or mentioned when making reservations. Have not ever heard of this any where else in all of our years of travel. This is a big turnoff for returning to this campground. They don't need our business and probably won't be getting it again.

Very nice park may be the nicest we have ever stayed in. Small pool but being right on the at Lawerence can't be beat!

Nice clean campground, no cable and Wi-Fi slow but area and views are amazing.

Upscale campground with concrete pads and marina. The pool and Tiki bar are a great place to hang out. They are in the process of building a kids pool away from the tiki bar.

This resort is excellent… we had an rv site and everything from the bathrooms to the view of the river and general lay out was enough to make us come back… maybe without the k9 kids his time.

Tiny cottages have far more emenities than the 8 person cottages. Tons of upgrades to the grounds. Maybe they want to invest in improvements to the boat launch and their linens. Asked for new set of sheets and was told they didn’t think they had any.

A great place to stay. So relaxing and fun! Great staff!

Over priced cottages, I've seen better craftsmanship in Home Depot sheds. Toilet seat broken, bathroom door wouldn't shut completely, cabinets full of dust. Called about air conditioning units that wouldn't blow out a lit match or do anything to 86 deg temp. Inside unit. Was told by management it is what it. You could find better quality deck chairs, grill and utensils at a flea market. Porch lights didn't work. All these things could be fixed with the one day fee they charge but they choose not to, therefore my review IS WHAT IT IS. Piss poor!

I always enjoy the days we spend at Swan Bay. The park has great rv sites and the park is very clean. I only wish that they had on site garbage pick up. It would be nice also if the had cable for those rainy days. Our dish seldom works up there.

Clean, well designed, terraced sites, one of the best camp grounds l have seen in 40 years.

Although I just visited there I found the facility immaculate and we'll layer out. Camp sites were really beautiful. My daughter and husband were there with the three kids and we had a blast. Nice environment.

A very nice RV resort but expensive. A well maintained park with a friendly staff.

Stayed at the chalet. It was spacious. The gas insert fire place works well and is a nice touch. The couch in the main living area was worn and we had to cover it with blankets we brought with us because no one wanted to sit on it. Gross. The wooden kitchen set was sticky even after we wiped it down. There were spiders throughout the dwelling and a serious problem with flies. You will be charged the full $250 security deposit if you leave anything in the bathroom including little bottles of shampoo or if the cot mattress is not on the base. The management charged us $250 because of this, poppy seeds on the stove top, and one bathroom trash we missed in terms of emptying it out. They we not sympathetic that I was rushed in for emergency surgery during our stay. We left $20 tip for housekeeping. In fairness, it probably took a total of 10-15 minutes to throw out the shampoos and trash, wipe up the poppy seeds, and put the mattress back on the base (don't they clean it, or spray it down at least after check out? ). Totally overpriced and unpleasant. We will never go back.

Location was good! But resorts are not clean bugs spider infested everywhere, it seems after leaving every guest they barely clean up the place. One of the big green house we got had insufficient ac unit for the room, bathroom shower water would run to the bed room, not enough toilet paper, or towel for 12 persons house. We enjoyed the place tho it just their service and cleanliness wasn't up to the price they were charging.

Great place! Nice people! It has a nice area of boat docks, tiki bar with live music, pool, and campfire social area. They serve a great fish fry on Friday along with a great grocery store and liquor store in walking distance. They also rent bikes, kayaks and motor boats. The resort is full hookups, concrete pads and patio along with new picnic tables and fire pit. We will be returning every summer! Take in mind its new and they still have some work to do.

Great people. Great service. Rented pontoon boat for week. Will be back next year. Boat went from Swan Bay to Grindstone no problems. Made for great fishing platform! Mornings fishing to evening cruise … So nice.

First time rental customer. Staff was very friendly and moved quickly to ensure we had as much time on the water as possible. 24' pontoon was in great condition and had no issues. Was not asked to leave this review, it just went that well I felt the need. Will be returning in the near future.

Not a bad place. Our family enjoyed it, seems more for a party crowed but we were never bothered.

I would never trust this place. They charged us damage for a boat that we rented and did not make. I had been warned not to trust this outfit but rented a boat anyway. I hope no one else gets blindsided by this outfit. What a way to ruin an enjoyable vacation.

This will be the 3rd time we have come here. It may be our last… Pricing for the sites in the highest we have paid anywhere in the USA. Then they charge me $42 for electric I used for the week. Really? two AC units for one week? No Cable… I have to take my trash up to the dumpsters which for some is a long walk. Then they wanted me to park my trailer in the mud as all the other dry spaces were filled with boat trailers who really do not care if they get wet. My trailer is not made to park in Mud… $40, 000 worth of Harleys in my Trailer and want me to load and unload in the mud… so lets just say I was upset after they told me to park near the dumpsters and then once I was unloaded to me to move them… $10 for a mixed drink at the pool seems a bit over priced and the few wood items you get for $8 could be dry. Walked up the food store and got decent wood to burn. Oh… the fire pit is about 10 stones in a circle … really? You want to be a first class RV resort please look at the others to improve yours… yes you have a great view… so do many others…

The staff we very good. We stayed in the "Casino" cottage. It was nice, but the furniture was so uncomfortable. It needed a better couch and another chair. It couldn't really accomodate two adults and a 6 year old. The Wi-Fi rarely worked, which was ok, but we were told the cable was out too. So there wasn't much else to entertain us during our down time. There are only so many boardgames a family can play lol.

Looking to rent a pontoon boat? This is the place. Beautiful boats, great people to work with!

Nice big site, clean and great view on the waterway. A little pricey but worth it.

One of the best rv parks we have stayed at on our cross country trip. Staff is friendly and helpful and grounds are immaculate. I would highly recommend this site especially if you are traveling in a big rig.

This was an incredible experience! I highly highly recommend Swan Bay. We went to Disney this summer and stayed at Fort wilderness and I would have to go on record to say Swan Bay was actually nicer than Disney's Fort wilderness. The people are friendly it's extremely clean it you cannot beat the views there gorgeous right on the water. We went in for a boat tour in the boat tour brought us to the boat and they were supposed to bring us back to the RV park but by the time they got us back to doc it was closed so we called Swan bay to ask them for the name of the taxi and one of the people from Swan baby actually came and picked us up it's just a great experience highly recommend it.

The Swan Bay resort is right on the water and has very nice views. The area is well maintained and the houses we rented water cozy. My only complaints were that the houses were not even with the road so everything has to be casted in to the house by going down a hill or wooden stairs, and that the upstairs had sharply inclined ceilings that we regularly hit our heads on in the bedroom and bathroom.

Had a great time. Comfortable atmosphere and well kept camp. All the sites looked easy to enter and were level concrete pads with full hook up. We had 5-6 families and we all have already signed up to come back.
