Wonderful place & great people. Located in the most perfect location by the steam boats and with the best view of the lake. Parking is included and the on-site restaurants have yummy food. Love sitting outside in the evenings watching the fireworks with drinks and snacks from the bar. Totally relaxing experience!

Amazing hotel we have been on a lot of vacations. This is my sons favorite. Favorite hotel they have ever stayed in. They like it better then story land an Santa’s village. We have a new vacation spot.

Fort William Henry is by far one of our best places to go. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable. Christy is by far one of the best front desk personal we have ever dealt with at any hotel. The rooms are always very clean and well taken care of. The white lion restaurant has awesome food and reasonable prices. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a great vacation. The staff at Fort William Henry make you feel very welcome. We had a little hiccup at the beginning but the General Manager Sam really stepped up and resolved the issue right away making our stay wonderful. Marisa at the front desk gave me many restaurant suggestions and things to do with my 20 year old girls and Lorraine at the front desk was just wonderful. Thank you Sam and your great staff. We will be back soon.

For anyone trying to stay at this hotel. Do yourself favor and look elsewhere their pictures are deceiving and their pricing do not reflect the actual conditions of the rooms. For their pricing you can rent elsewhere with much better conditions. Not only was I was told different things but you do not have a manager on duty for 3 days. My credit took care of it since hotel seems fit its okay to scam military members. I'll make sure any military members do not come to this hotel and the city mayor hears about it too. The room its a health hazard pictures below room 177 premium double.

Nice clean hotel. Great views of Lake George. Very close to main drag so it was an easy walk. The hotel has 2 older sections and a new building. We stayed in the older building on the right. Needs updating but still nice. The staff is very accommodating. Wi-Fi was slow in our section but good in the lobby. Pool is huge and they serve food and drinks to the pool area. We will definitely be back.

Our stay was wonderful! The front desk was informative and quick to help. Our room was comfortable. At the adjoining White Lion our waitress Kelly was the best! We saw her later working the bar by the pool. The Fort was excellent. Interesting exhibits for every level of interest in Colonial American history. The incredibly convenient location made it so we did not have to drive at all! Excellent.

Really amazing views of the lake. Great romantic area during the fall. We went one night of our honeymoon and it was awesome! It was the beginning of november and really not a lot of people in town besides other couples. Great food and a nice indoor pool. Want to go back for sure!

I booked a room in the Fort William Henry hotel. I came here to just relax and take in the views. The staff here was very accommodating and very helpful. The room I had exceeded all of my needs and, the bed that I slept in was very comfortable. I was given a lakeside room with a spectacular view. And lastly, the White Lion restaurant, has great food and great service and is only open for breakfast.

My stay at Fort William Henry Hotel was nice. It’s comfortably within walking distance to the Lake George strip and beaches. The room was lovely and well kept with ample towels and amendments. During my stay, I spent time with their dining service for breakfast and in the pool in the evening. Their dining service was pretty fair. With our room , came 2 free meal tickets to which we got breakfast early in the morning. Being the first ones there upon their opening of serving breakfast, we had a prime seating looking out over Lake George over tasty omelets and toast. Our toast was a tad burnt, and the waitress was unsure on how to handle our free meal tickets — but admittedly she confessed it was her first day working so it’s understandable. The pool was very large and had a hot tub and sauna aside it and oddly enough a small arcade too. The area was lively with family’s and couples hanging out at night when we were present. It was a fun evening before turning in for bed. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable.

Great location. Can have the lake view from the room. Service and internal facilities can be better. Affordable and does not burn your pocket to have a scenic view of a lake.

I work here and I love it. The view is like no other. Very interesting and great people who go above and beyond to exceed any other in the area. A must come and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

I walked into this place because I have friends who come in September for seasonal events that opted to stay there so I wanted to see what it is they have to offer and the view as you go outside is nice they only had an outdoor bar with very limited selection I didn't even order a drink because they carried so very little didn't seem to be really catering to anyone just allowing the location to do it didn't feel welcomed or the desire to book any of my friends who come in from out-of-state there I'll keep looking I give him 3 stars because I gave him the benefit but as far as booking anyone or going there myself and I wouldn't choose to.

Fort William Henry Hotel is a nice clean hotel with good rates. It is located near everything in the village and has great views of the lake. You can walk straight out the back of lobby to the docks where all the live entertainment is. The rooms are a bit dated and we did find a few things wrong (sticky closet door in one room and there was an issue with the shower in another room), but the problems were immediately corrected by the friendly staff. There is plenty of space in each room, a beautiful lobby, porch, bar, and restaurant. Rite Aide (convience store / pharmacy) is just south of the Fort, Price Chopper (grocery store) is a block or two north, and in every direction you look you'll find great restaurants, bars, and family entertainment within a 5 to 10 minute walk. There is a nice boardwalk filled with gift stores that cater to your beach going needs just out the back walkway.

Beautiful location with best views of Lake George. Very clean and attractive rooms. Everyone works hard to make your experience pleasant and comfortable.

We go every spring for a conference. It is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Christy goes above and beyond to help ensure our stay is the best it can be.

There are different rooms of varying quality at appropriate prices. I stayed in the cheapest room during the off season and I got what I paid for. Bed was comfortable, heater worked, and bathroom was back decent size and worked. The hotel has free parking and is within walking distance of many bars and restaurants on the main street. The front desk staff were friendly at all times.

We stayed here before and never had an issue. Just stayed in January 2018 and when we checked in we were told the tankard tavern was closed due to a private event. That's one of my amenities! I stay in the grand hotel so I don't need to go out to dinner or breakfast. I wish they had told me the bar/restaurant was going to be closed to it's guests. I would have stayed somewhere else. Disappointed. I'll have to ask if I book a room there again.

Great location. Accommodations were acceptable. Breakfast was good. The restaurant was acceptable. Staff was friendly. We came in the winter. The heater in the room was super loud so we used the one on the window which made the room really dry. Beds were not great. But overall it served it's purpose and the location again was excellent.

Out of the Ordinary Photography has been capturing weddings and family photos at the historic Fort William Henry Hotel for over 15 years. It sits over-looking beautiful Lake George. The staff are always nice and the food is great. If you are looking for a venue in the Adirondacks but also close to everything downtown, this is the place!

Even if it is a reconstruction the fort deserves a visit. His name is mainly related to the novel The Last of the Mohicans, and to the battle that took place there during the seven Years ' War. The siege of the fort ended with the surrender of the British garrison commanded by Colonel Monroe, to whom the commander of the French troops, Le Marquise De Montcalm granted the honor of the weapons. Unfortunately, during the transfer from the fort the French troops lost control of the Indian allies who hurled themselves against the defenders… only the decisive intervention of the officers prevented a more bloody epilogue. This not least the British exaggerated the fact that it passed into history as a real massacre and in those terms was later described in the novel.

I stayed overnight with friends for New Year's Eve. We purchased the overnight breakfast packages. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and staffed by folks who really enjoy offering the best in service. It was great to see a variety of families enjoying the property. We utilized the pool/jacuzzi area, as well and the Tavern. The views of Lake George were magnificent.

This hotel is very very nice reasonably priced. The restaurant is fair to good not a huge menu. The breakfast was decent but id prefer prospect dinner they were slow on getting the food out. It took like 40 tp 50 minutes from when we ordered to get out two sets of pancakes one with bacon one with sauasage. Both the bar and breakfast room are very nice room the staff at the bar and breakfast room are very friendly and attentive. The staff at the front desk are very friendly. More pluses than minuses. Plus its downtown.

We had our company christmas party there in the conference center and everything was great. They met with us multiple times before the event to go over all of the details and Tom even made himself available on the weekend to show us the place and go over all of the details of the party. Everyone was very happy with the event!

We recently had a wedding here and it was beautiful! My wife and I both had zero complaints about our ceremony and reception and would definitely recommend any prospective couple's to have their wedding here! Dawn, our wedding planner, was spectacular and helpful in any way she could be. We felt right at home and loved every minute.

Easy to find right on the main drag in Lake George. The staff catering my workplace's holiday party we're attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The food was good.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, but nice. The walls are thin, you can hear the neighbors and people in the hallway easily. Breakfast was not included but it was good and not too expensive. We got a great deal on Groupon in the offseason and got a room on the top floor with a lake view, there is no way we could have got a better deal anywhere else. The view is amazing will the sunrise over the lake in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Friendly staff. Make sure to check if your room is in the main building or their "motel-like" annex. Sunday's breakfast brunch was very good and a great price!

Our go to place when visiting Lake George. Rooms are always clean and staff is very friendly. Opening the window in the morning to a beautiful lake view is fantastic. The White Lion restaurant is nice and convenient for breakfast. Unfortunately no continental breakfast, but the quality is far superior. The only negatives I can think of is when a wedding or other large function is going on, it can be a bit loud in the room.

Stayed here for the weekend for a family wedding. There was 1 bed for 3 adults and a child to sleep in. We were able to switch to a larger room for a night, but then we were asked to return back to the original room for next night. Friendly, but not very accommodating. After decorating over 150 cupcakes on a table in the lobby with no sink provided to wash out tools and equipment, the dirty tools were stored overnight in manager's office untouched. No one bothered or offered to help wash things out so buttercream bowl and containers were sticky and crusted-over from sitting out overnight.

We stayed here for the N. Y. Balloon festival. It was a perfect location. Close to so many things within walking distance. Balloon festival was about a 15 min drive south. Staff was helpful and friendly. We went September 20th to the 24th. During the week, the town was dead, but the weekend was busy and buzzing with people everywhere. Beautiful lake. Gorgeous views. The fort was right next door, q too. I could see where there would be plenty to do in the summer, as more businesses would be open. But all in all, we had a great time.

Wifi was horrible, however the rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. There seemed to be some odd rules with things such as the use of their personal safes. Make sure to read the booklet in the room so you can make an informed decision and not get caught off guard by surprise charges. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would be willing to stay there again.

Beautiful grounds and event center. Staff is friendly and good was delicious. The center is right by the water so the views were awesome.

Nice grounds. Very clean rooms. The decor was nice and cozy. Staff was nice and courteous. Not a fan of how much it cost to stay per night. It's on the expensive side and doesn't include breakfast.

Fort William Henry is one of our favorite summertime vacationing places. The staff is professional, accommodating and most of all SUPER friendly. This is now an every year vacation for us. I want to give an extra "THANK YOU" to Kristyn. See you next summer.

So, we booked the hotel through a third party and ended up paying a decent amount for the "motel". It needs some updating but my big problem was the lack of cleanliness. It seemed like there was mold in the bathroom. On top of that, our sheets didn't fit the bed. Aside from that, the pool was nice and service was great. Best thing was definitely the location. You can walk out and end up downtown and right by lake George.

I went to Fort William Henry Hotel to attend a family reunion and dinner. The space they provided was light, airy, and truly comfortable space for eating, dancing, socializing, and fun. The event went off without a hitch. The food was good, the drinks were readily available, and it was a great night. For longer stays there was plenty in the immediate area toto do for all ages. A great hotel.

My wife and I had a Groupon deal. It is exceptional for its location. The standard rooms are as expected. A little bare. The TV reception is finicky and flickers from time to time. The rooms are dark and a little dreary, but the Lake view is amazing! The customer service is brilliant. We received $5 meal tickets from the Groupon that helped pay breakfast at the attached White Lion.

This hotel is one bad experience booked 2 rooms over the app. Nice location beautiful views but they gave me 2 motel type rooms. So I upgraded for $25 per night they changed me 3 times. No free parking. No free Internet no free breakfast. Never going back to that hotel.

A few years ago, I was DJing at an event. I proceeded to take a good amount of Liquid LSD and make my way through these hallowed halls. The grounds are amazing for getting lost. The hand dryers were rude and abusive. My friends mustache kept growing. I met some festival transients in the basement of the Conference Center. It's haunted or at least that's what my friend Alex said. 10/10. Would go here again.

This is how I remember hotels on trips as a kid in the 80s! Clean. A little louder than most modern hotels. Sauna, Jacuzzi, indoor pool… pretty cool, quaint place Great for a family vacation… maybe not the best choice for a romantic weekend getaway.

I had the pleasure of providing photo booth services at Kerry and Paul's Wedding this weekend at Fort William Henry. The staff was excellent to work with. Jim made the load in and set up space very easy for me. I look forward to more photobooth fun at Fort William Henry.

I had a great time here the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was informative and included a DVD, musket, grenade, cannon, and they showed us how to make lead shot. A lot of artifacts from original fort.

I would never stay there again. I booked 2 rooms and asked that the rooms would be close. One was on the first floor and one was on the fifth. I paid $350 for a suite that had a hard couch that was at least 30 years old and closet doors that were coming off the track. The sink was clogged. I was told I had a mountain view. What I got was a view of the parking lot. We waited an hour after ordering breakfast and the food was not worth the money. The attitude of the non-tipping staff was "I could care less. " I asked for a receipt when I checked out but they said I could not have one since I booked through Expedia.

There were four couples that were on this trip in four different rooms. Couple had their toilet flood the room within the first couple of hours. They got moved. Then that night there was a huge rain storm that poured water in through the vent and flooded the room. They were moved a second time. Couple had someone drilling in the walls that day and that night had a skunk outside their room and the smell permeated through the air conditioner. The second day couple were bitten in their room by a deer tick. Couple found bugs in their room. All four couples were moved to different rooms in the main part of the hotel on the second day of their trip. The employees that they tried to get to help them had an attitude. They had to see the owner to get anything accomplished. On the first night their meal was at a restaurant called The Blacksmith, which was part of the hotel. The food was sub-par at best. A tough steak, overcooked chicken, overcooked ribs, a honey mustard dressing for a salad that turned out to be super spicy and a chef that didn't want to make a baked potato. None of these couples would recommend staying there or will they themselves stay there again.

The service was great here. We attended a wedding here and the service was astounding. Breathtaking. Room service was awesome. The hotel staff courteous and hospitable. The only bug I had is that when I used their business center, their computer was outdated, there was only one, and although there was a printer in the room, the computer wasn't able to open let alone print the pdf documents that I needed to print in order to take my family out to dinner. The front desk was able to have us email them the pdf file but it took over an hour to get this done. The business center is in need of a overhaul. The only thing stopping me from 5 starring them.

If you a history nerd (like me) you will enjoy this. You will be walking around on the ground from the Last of the Mohicans. The history in this area is amazing and you will learn something new every time you visit! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly.

This place was horrible. Beautiful location and lots of history are not what we left here remembering, but rather the poor service, subpar attitudes of the employees, and the dirty rooms. Mold lines the showers from bottom to top, carpeting in need of a good deep cleaning (somedays housekeeping just didn't show up, despite having their cart set up in the hall way all day), and management in need of basic customer service skills training all added up to a horrible experience. Lake George is a beautiful area, and there are plenty of areas worth staying that will appreciate your business, and treat you accordingly. This is not one of them.
