Review of Inn on the Alameda 3*

Lovely venue, though not 100% ADA compliant (my fiancé decided to skip trying to use the wheelchair). Wonderful, friendly, attentive staff. Beautiful room: (we had a “Deluxe King”) with a spacious bathroom. Renovated a year ago, our building had new carpeting, window treatments, and furnishings. If they offered “smart TVs” with access to streaming services, and generous electrical and/or charging outlets, I would give it 5-stars. I was told that these are in the planning sta…ges. This is their high season so expect to pay a premium rate. Come in the winter and it’s much less expensive. Their brochure touts their “lavish complimentary breakfast” but I’ll let you decide how lavish is defined! They have a wine & cheese reception each evening with a small selection of wines (2 glasses free) & reasonable bar prices for cocktails! My fiancé describes her Silver Margarita as both “good-looking and delicious! ” One quirky thing: the Wi-Fi (which is included and very fast) requires a check box and button press to access, in addition to a password. My 2 iPhones had no problem connecting, nor did our Mac Book Pro. My fiancé’s brand new Samsung Galaxy S9+ could not connect because that security page could not be found. We didn’t bother to report this. It also prevented us from using our Amazon Echo Dot that we travel with (“Rain Sounds”) to help mask outside noise. Small technical complaint that they might discuss with their provider. We would definitely stay here again when events in Santa Fe warrant an overnight stay.
