This extended stay should not be in service now they were undergoing renovation and day full you will be hearing drilling construction sounds, Wi-Fi connection was on and off. And then there was fire alarm and all occupants came out in panic, firefighters came, and we were waiting for almost 45 mts outside, not even a single staff came out or was available in front desk even after firearm went off. I didn't even take my room keys and I had to wait long at front desk for some one to come, and the guy was so cool explaining it was nothing serious, there were people waiting with infants and kids. Rooms and pathways were stinking with smoke and parking lot was filled with abandoned cars and dirts. My room was unclean, bath room curtains were dirty, dish washer was filled with food from previous occupants. I almost puked seeing it. Kitchen vessels were dirty and stained and again had foods sticking. They should stop service, I cancelled my stay here and moved and requested my employer to never book room here.

Do better Extended Stay. I booked the hotel for 5 days, checked out after 1 day. The bathroom smelled, bed not comfortable, a bathroom hand-towel was dirty/stained along with the kitchen wash towel… very flimsy sofa bed. Front Desk was good though.

The worst experience I have ever had. I was locked inside my room for 2.5 Hrs. All the door are auto locked in this hotel and I was trapped inside my room as the door was neither opening from inside nor outside and I was rescued from my room. Think of this situation when you are about to start for the office in the morning or for airport. My case was in evening and unfortunately I was not having any must do things in the evening. But was completely tired and not having any drinking water inside my room as they don't provide any service even the basic of providing drinking water to the room. Its all self service. After a hectic day at office you need to go the ground floor for bringing water in your own pot (you need to carry or buy from wallmart which is again drive away). I was not offered drinking water on my checkin day as well and this is their practice and directly said no as they didn't provide water to the room. The breakfast is very poor. You only get some muffin and coffee thats it. Not at all recommended.

The worst hotel ever, dirty showers, old worn out sheets, no pool, no utensils to eat with, smoking through out the lobby. I had to go to the lobby to ask for clean towels, and to change my linens. Doors was constantly being slammed all day and A/C cable was terrible. I will never ever go back or recommend this hotel to anybody. Plus they had construction in half of the hotel. Needs to be closed or under new management.

Very dirty hotel, staff have an attitude problem, we got 2 rooms and we found bed bugs in both. The whole room was felthy. I dont recomend this hotel to anyone. Dobt even bother to book there unless you like bed bugs.

My Wife and I recently stayed the night here. We were in the area because she had appearances as Me. Wheelchair New Jersey the following day. The employees were very nice and extremely personable, our stay was lovely. We had a great night's sleep!

If I could rate extended stay a negative 1 I would. I arrived at 2:30am for the Rutgers Graduation. The first room they have me smelled like it was sprayed with urine, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th room both were trashed like there was a frat party in them. Who had 4 dirty rooms the night before Rutgers Graduation. You could pay me to sleep at this place. Please save your money. I NEVER HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and I've traveled all over the world. Worst hotel ever!

Do NOT stay at the Piscataway location because they are infested with bedbugs. Their staff is completely incompetent and have absolutely no training regarding how to deal with a bed bug problem. My boyfriend was greeted with one on his pillow and we were inconvenienced at 3:00 a. M. To move into another room. I couldn't sleep all night. And now 3 weeks later they are in his bedroom. I filed a complaint with the District Manager as well as the manager on site. Finally their insurance company offers me $200 and told me it was a sign of good faith. No apology, no nothing! $200 certainly isn't enough to treat a bedbug problem! He stated that there was no evidence of their being an issue before my arrival… perhaps it just went unreported. Complete moron! I wouldn't recommend this place to a pack of wolves. No empathy whatsoever. To make matters even worst, the manager on duty the next morning implied that he would go upstairs to take a look because I couldn't just be "throwing the word around", as if I had lied and made it up. Who makes that up at 3 in the morning I contacted the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs because I do not believe that this situation was rectified properly. They certainly lost my business! *****UPDATE**** Today I went back to the location to again express my concerns regarding this incident and spoke with Gina, the manager on duty.

Hotel is good if you want to stay long and cook your food. But room are small, not so clean. Breakfast is constant here and that is disappointing, since people staying long here same food every day is not pleasing.

Room is ok. Wi-Fi isn't quick. Tv channels are poor, less than 20. Fridge inside and out was pretty dirty, old food/ splatter from stove top. Microwave was covered on the outside but mostly clean inside. Hallways smell like old food because people are idiots and put there dirty dishes in the hallway. To add it snowed, parking lot barley cleared. Many cars double and triple parked. No walk ways cleared even after 12 hours of the snow stopping. I can't really find anything good to say other than its a tolerable room for the time.

Intentional mistakes every where in this hotel. 1:The hotel smells off rotten food. 2: The walls aren't insulated so you can here full conversations of the room next door. 3: Horrible night of sleep due to bad matrices not having a pillow top. Basically sleeping on the floor. 4: No complimentary coffee, which is a standard every where else. Even Motel 6 has coffee. 5: For these type of standards at this Hotel the nightly rate should be around $65 a night, not $110 (note at the time of this review). 6: No Military Discount @ a company that has America in it's name! That's an oxymoron… Stay at the best western up the road. Better prices and they have complimentary coffee.

Economic and resting place.

Awesome apartment style rooms with kitchenette. Great if you need more then one or two nights away from home.

Rooms are good and very clean. Free Breakfast is not a good. There will be just coffee, small oats packets without milk and few nature valley crunchy bars.

I've never stayed here before and they made me feel extremely comfortable. Everyone was extremely helpful, couteous & kind. They went beyond the call of duty for us. I would stay here again without a second thought.

Only clean room once a week. You have to take your own garbage out and you have to bring your dirty towels down to lobby every day to get clean towels and then they never have clean towels. So you have to make several trips to get towels. Waited for weeks for maintenance. Enterances door locks to get into building broken so any one can get in. 2 outta 3 washers broken for entire time I was there over 2 months. For the very high cost to stay there you should not have to deal with any of this. Oh plus the grounds and rooms had fleas bad. After we checked out over a week later our credit card was charged a full week and took them 2 weeks to fix it plus the refund we were due at check out took over 3 weeks to get and they changed the rates as to what they wanted for the last week there so they would not have to refund what was due. Sooo much more. That dont included woman manager hitting on husbands.

Fisrt of all it says there is a pool but it was paved over a long time ago, the "fitness center" is a stairmaster and a treadmill. In the 2 weeks I have stayed here there were 3 fire alarms that went off and forced me and my 6 month old son I to the parking lot of over a hour till the fire department came to let us go back in, at least 4 times the elevator didn't work. The complimentary breakfast they offer have the time is gone by 7 when they say it's open till 9 and most of the time they "didn't receive their shipment" so there is nothing. Every other day we have to get our keys reprogrammed because they were voided out by the front desk for no reason. They say they offer trash pick out but when you call the front desk for a pick up they tell you were the trash room is so you can do it yourself. We never got fresh towels and sheets, though we can go get them from the front desk. Same with utensils and plates and such. Sign in the room says call the desk and they will bring them, but had to go get them myself. The rooms appear to be nice but I found a roach crawling around in the draws. What exactly is the definition of customer service here? Oh, and my wife went to speak with the front desk to get the keys redone again and make a complaint, and the clerk went to go get the manager, and apparently the manager couldn't even care enough to come down to the desk after being told that we were charged $700 more on the card than we were told was the balance… What?

First of all the manager Gina tries her best to help with the little resources given to her. That being said my room was dirty no utensils, bad smell, noise was unreal from drunken guests running in halls 3 am. The coffee breakfast was awesome if we where in haiti. The hotel looks nice from the outside, but once your inside its a way different story. I had bumps all over my body from God knows what. Save your money! Sleep in the car and use the cash to go have a drink.

I stay here whenever I visit Piscataway. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. I get a good price from priceline.

Overall good rooms. Ample parking space, complimentary breakfast is not good for Indians, every Wednesday room cleaning service provided,

Clean hotel. Decent location. Everything nearby. Small entrance. I don't like having rooms on first floor though. Personal choice.

Not very clean. They have a floor for smoking patrons & you can tell throughout the entire hotel. Also, thought it was closer to campus.

Clean room. Big enough for our family of 5 plus a kitchenette for a great price.

This property was a nightmare right from the unfriendly check-in experience to the dirty, smelly dated room. When the smoke alarm in the room started beeping at 2AM, the extremely rude front desk chose to rip the alarm off the ceiling and would not give me a different room. Thankfully my 3rd party vendor was able to move me to a different property. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If fate leads you here I wish you the best.

Staff was friendly and room was generally clean. Fixtures were dated and breaking and there was a smoking smell covered up with some strange deodorant permeating the entire floor and room that was overbearing. Breakfast was more of a packaged items mix.

My stay was ok I expected it to be nicer inside tho. The room had a wired smell and the bathroom and kitchen need to be updated. They had alot of long term stay people there so that was pretty akward. There was no pool which is one of my preferences. Also they didnt have any outlets by the lamps in the room or on the upper parts of the walls. The kitchen area had no plates, glasses, or silverware. The beds werent all that comfortable either, I give the beds a 4 out of 10. I would probably not stay there again, the man at the front desk was prettt nice tho.

Service was very prompt and friendly. Location is close to Rutgers University. Good deal for the night through Expedia. Would stay again.

This extended stay sucks. Even the normal garbage place would be cleaner and maintained to what they do when it comes to in terms of room service. They just cheat people and extract money for no service that they have offered.

Pool is closed, breakfast is just a bunch of granola bars, and the "Wi-Fi" is throttled so it is terribly slow. Don't worry they give you the option to purchase high speed internet. Rooms are decent, but outdated. Bathroom is dirty and falling apart. Hallways smell like body odor. Extended stay America should take their name off of the building… Very sad … Look somewhere else.

Stayed one night in room 139 and I'll never stay there again. I woke up the next morning with bed bug bites from my forehead to my hands. I wish I could give them zero stars. This place sucked and it smelled like curry.

Service was great. The front desk to the cleaning people were awesome. The free morning coffee was an extra star. However the hair clogging the drain and the overall cleanliness of my room was not so great. I understand I should not be expecting a 4 star hotel quality but I still can't get the image of all the hair stuck in the sink out of my head.

I read the 4+ rated comments for this hotel and I'm not sure if we visited the same place… I will start with the good things, as the list won't be too long. + They had a free shuttle in 5 miles. + The room was well organized and it had kitchen a huge fridge. The rooms had bathtub. I love bathtubs :) + There is a possibility to wash your clothes if you stay longer. + The staff was nice and friendly. + The location is quite ok, there is a small shopping centre quite close. HOWEVER — If you stay there for a longer period, and decide to have the breakfast they provide every day, you'll end up having diabetes: pre-made soggy muffins, granola bars, coffee with liquid coffee creamer (no milk), instant oatmeal, and fruit. Every. Single. Day. — If you plan to stay longer you can be sure that your card will expire at least 4-5 times, don't ask why… Maybe they like to have interaction with you, so they want to make sure you'll visit them :) — If you want to use the kitchen (which is possibly an advance compared to other hotels) you'll generate more trash. Room cleaning occurs once a week, if they don't forget it (with me it happened two times…) — The common areas feel dirty there were not one time when I wet floor signs. On the carpet. — There is no food service in the hotel, and I'm not sure if there were any I would take it. The place just doesn't feel clean.

Went to hotel to check — in they said room is not ready come back any time after afternoon. Went to New York to my friends and hotel called and said there is no available room. And they said they will return my money. I did have big argument and had the room. But the front desk manager messed up my holiday. I will never go there again. Horrible experience I have ever had.

Very nice service, I like it.

Absolutely terrible. First, the door into the building cannot open large enough for the luggage cart to move through. It's blocked by a chair they won't move. Next, we moved up to our room. The bed was very squeaky, the refrigerator smelled like rotten eggs and was turned off, the sliding doors to the closet were broken and couldn't close properly, many of the electronics in the room were unplugged, there was a lightbulb out, the silverware was dirty, and the dishwasher was broken and leaking. It was a holiday weekend, so they "just couldn't" fix anything for 3 days. We left and went to Residence Inn after the 1st night.

I stayed here for 1 night on 9/21. Hotel is tired, dirty and smelly. I stay at hotles 100+ nights per year and this is the first time I put in the effort to write a review. That is how bad it was. Plenty of other good choices in the area.

The room I got (room 210, two beds and sofa bed) was totally infested with bed bugs. Staff did not seem shocked or concerned and I was offered a single bed room instead. Staff also mumbled about this being a widespread problem there. I told them I was leaving immediately. They said they refunded all the money but the first night has not yet been refunded. I am trying to get to the manager to give my money back. Stay away from this bed bug infested hotel. Oh, and the dishwasher didnt wash dishes right and one of the lights was out and the bathroom was a little dirty.
