HORRIBLE SERVICE by STACEY who works at the first desk today Saturday 5/22/21. I checked in on 5/21 until 5/29 I have four people staying in my room and requested fresh towels and only recieved two from Stacey at the front desk. When asked for two extra was told there was three towels in the room when we check in a day earlier. I told here the house keeper did not clean my room therefore I didn't recieve fresh towels nor was the garbage taken out. She preceeded to say my room wasn't clean because of covid. I requested to see this policy in writing as this was not in any of the information when booking my 8 day stay, she could not produce any documentation and said I had to wait until Monday to speak with the manager Gessena. She also refused to give me her last name only gave me her first name Stacey which is a popular name and could be more than one person by that name working there. Needless to say I will not be staying at this hotel chain again very disappointed and will be cutting my 8 day stay into two days and taking my business elsewhere. The rooms need to be updated as well and the microwave in the lobby was very dirty… Very Unhappy with the treatment I received today!

Terrible Experience. Terrible customer service. And still waiting for a callback that I was promised from a member of management for six days.

Not a bad hotel near the airport for the night before a flight. Very good free breakfast in the morning. The shuttle driver had a little bit of an attitude because we did not sign up for the shuttle, but let us on regardless.

Marriott hotels are alway great however, we had no 'hot' water in the bathroom sink. What's up with that? Yes the shower was nice and hot. Their staff are very professional, polite and helpful especially by helping me order dinner in.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Rooms are very nice, great breakfast, coffee was so-so. I slept well it was quiet and bed is comfortable.

Took us FIVE HOURS from arrival to get into a room with working air conditioning. Had to move three times and into the tiniest non-handicapped accessible room which meant I could not bathe or use my chair since it could not get past the bathroom entrance. The next morning, I stopped at the desk to remind them to try to find a handicap accessible room with working air conditioning for us. The previous night's crew did not tell them anything of what had happened! When I came back at dinner time, the same crew was at the front desk but they had done nothing at all about the problem! I had to wait in the lobby for over an hour for them to even check & see if there was an accessible room available and then go test the air conditioning! We couldn't do anything because we didn't know whether we were moving or not. It made no sense to pack up if there was not a room available so we just had to sit there and wait. This was very aggravating since the staff had been alerted and had all day to do this simple thing! Eventually, we moved for the fourth time. It would have been so much better if we could have done that as soon as we arrived rather than waiting in limbo for all of that time, making it that much later that we could get to sleep for a second night!

Front desk associate was very rude and needs some more training in customer service. The manager needs to make himself available to address customer complaints. Waiting to talk to a manager for over 15 mins over the phone is not going to deter a pissed off customer from calling corporate either.

Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. No restaurant on site drastically reduces meal plans. I ordered from the Chinese delivery menu that was in the room. Food was mediocre at best. Staff was friendly and offered alternate (less convenient) dining options. Airport shuttle was clean and the drivers friendly.

This is a fairly average example of a Fairfield Inn. Getting there requires navigating truly terrible quality roads, but once there parking is easy for a $10 charge. Check-in was pleasant, and the hotel is clean and tidy. The room was a little smaller than expected, but adequate for the price. The bed was comfortable, but an annoying buzz from the air conditioning unit spoiled my sleep a bit. The bathroom was clean, and ironing and hair drying equipment is available.

The hotel is overall nice, but has some definite pros and cons: Pros: Close to Newark Penn Station (about an 8 minute drive), close to Newark International Airport, close to I-78 and the NJ Pkwy. Modern rooms, friendly staff, and a mostly quiet stay. Cons: The location of the hotel is tricky to figure out the first time you visit, and signage is small to indicate where you should turn. Parking, while plentiful, will run you $10/day. The pool is one of the smallest pools I've ever seen in a hotel in my life. The free breakfast leaves a little to be desired. Located in an area where you'll have to travel 10-15 minutes for anything (food, big box stores, etc). Overall, if you're not looking to enjoy a lot of the hotel perks such as the pool and fitness area, it's a great place to stay.

The hotel is pretty decent; it's about par for the course for an airport hotel. Getting to the hotel itself and parking is an absolute pain and many of the roads are completely covered with potholes. Rooms are nice and updated. Clean. Overall it was a decent experience, I would consider staying again if I'm in the area.

This was one of the nicest Marriott's I've visited. The staff was helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and stylish and breakfast was plentiful. I enjoyed my stay despite the ongoing construction next door. Hopefully the road access will improve when it's completed. I highly recommend this hotel.

Love ye location very close to airport and specialy its heated but small swimming pool. Jacuzzi was not hot as it should have been, also enjoyed the complimentary brekfast next morning. The check in and checkout times are also an hour early and late resectively compared to other hotels of similar amenities.

Room was a good size and clean, staff was friendly, close to my destination. Parking lot needs repaving, some of those potholes and spreed bumps are rough. Overall a pleasant stay.

Very terrible. I was booked for two nights as a get away from home with my children. I made the reservation with main number for two double beds and a sofa. To my surprise there was no so sofa bed. I called down stairs immediately and was not even offered an apology. I was just told we don't have those types of rooms and meanwhile I am over the occupancy amount. I asked for a pull out bed and was told by Greg the manager that they don't have them. However I read the guest book said they do, I called back and he bow said well we can not give you one for safety which was well understood. I just didn't appreciate being lied to on top of my already complex issue. He called me back still no apology and says he is coming up stairs, I thought he would apologize and try to make a switch or so but only came to threaten me telling me we are over the occupant amount and if there are any noise complaints and they find out "there are five adults and not five children " there would be a problem. I explained the fifth person was an infant and he said I should call neighboring hotels and they wouldn't charge. To make a long story short, I went through to much stress to carry my things and I didn't have the strength to carry them out immediately. We decided to cut our stay to one night and booked our usual Holtel with Hilton close by. I called back to speak to him and inform him to change the stay to one night and still not one apology. What a terrible example of customer service.

Great basic hotel. Staff is excellent. Bring what you need because it's an island in between many highways so a quick jaunt to the store for forgotten item is quite a journey. Shuttles to the airport are readily available.

The room was nice, beds were comfortable. Little bit of too much noise in hallway at 3 am. Pool was cold. Bathroom was clean. Was not too crazy with fire alarm going off at 6 am. (for 10 seconds). I would stay again, hopefully next time water will be a bit hotter for kids.

Nice overnight stay. Close to the airport. Rooms were very clean. Low noise level. Nice secure parking at no cost.

Enjoying our stay here. The rooms are nice and clean and they occasionally have fresh cookies in the lobby. It's near the airport so it is very convenient to get there and the City. Drive slowly into the parking lot lest your car bottom out on the metal thing near the gate.

Only was the night before leaving for PR but the site is cozy and its location is the best!

Great hotel for a trip to New York. As long as you can take the train.

The rooms were nice and modern. The hotel is located close to the airport, though it can be a little hard to find the entrance (there are signs to help guide you when you get close). The free hotel Wi-Fi was reliable and fairly fast. The provided breakfast was fairly standard for hotel breakfasts, but good nontheless. Overall, I would stay here again.

Nice, updated room and a comfy bed. Everything feels clean and well maintained which is always nice. The free breakfast was definitely above average and very much appreciated. The only knock against this place is the location. I understand being an airport hotel means there won’t be much around, but it takes a long time to get here from the airport considering how close it is.

They have one star because I cant give zero. Today is oct 17 2017 last night there was NO water in the entire hotel I had to wash my hair with bottled water. The front desk gentleman was very apologetic about the whole situation. He made my night better. Come to find out this morning as I was checking out I over herd a worker saying to another one of her Co workers that the owner knew that we would not have any water for our stay and CHOSE to let us check in THEN tell us that there was no water. The owner should not be allowed to use the Marriott name he is shady and money hungry. I will not be staying here ever again. I am disgusted with my stay. The only thing good about my entire stay was the front desk gentleman.

I really have no complaints. I was traveling from Connecticut on a Friday night and last minute needed a few rooms for myself and my traveling companions… they were able to find us rooms. They also gave us our rooms on the same floor. We got in late and the staff referred us to a good pizza place that delivered to the hotel. The room was clean all over. Bed was comfy. The A. C. Didn't get that cold (it was about 68 in the room) but it was very comfortable. No problems. The breakfast was delicious except the turkey sausage was over cooked. Other than that it was great!

I came to celebrate my 40th Wedding Anniversary and I have been bitten by something in our room. We were moved to the room next door and I have another bite on my foot. I tried to make it enjoyable because my son and daughter in law came from Alabama to celebrate with us. And my son's in laws came to celebrate with us and I didn't want them to worry about me. But I'm very concerned about what keeps biting me. And I wonder if it's something that is going to be in my luggage! I have a fear of carrying my clothes home. My family have gone and I really want to leave also. This is very disappointing to be in a room that I can't get comfortable and enjoy my husband. Heartbroken yet hopefully no one else will ever go through this situation.

Needs renovation and improved housekeeping. But it's close to the airport and the beds were comfortable. Manager did try to correct the housekeeping issues, but arrivng at 11pm after being up for 20 hours I just wanted to sleep.

Great rooms and comfy bed. The king room has a separate sitting area which is great for watching TV. There is also a microwave and fridge with a decent size bathroom. Room doors are pretty heavy. Breakfast is hot but barely edible IMO. I've had much better breakfast at other hotels in this price point.

Overall the hotel experience was great. Our issue with staying while we were driving through town was difficult to get to. We initially used the GPS directions given on the website, but we were across the highway from it. We finally used the hotel address and got there fine. Secondly, no restaurants are nearby to walk to. We didn't want to get out and try to find our way back. Most restaurants are not within delivery option. The receptionist was able to provide a handful of restaurant options that delivered which was very helpful. We have 3 young children. So, dragging them around past dinner and bed time after a whole day in the car just wasn't an option. No one wants to eat next children in that state. If it were my husband and I then it wouldn't have been that big of a problem. If you needed to stay next to airport for an early flight then it would be an excellent option for that as well. Lesson learned for us since we were just driving through. We should have driven just a little further out of the airport area. Oh one additional thing, the website said free parking, but they add a $10 fee to your bill.

Clean rooms. Breakfast daily. Location was great for us as it was centrally located. 15 minutes from Newark Penn station so a train ride into NYC was easy. Only negative was construction next door which caused some issues getting to the Fairfield. Noise was not an issue.

Decent hotel — staff was very friendly. Held our bags after check-out so we could explore the city before heading to airport. Hot breakfast offered. A/C didn't work well in my room, nor did the coffee pot — had to get dressed and go downstairs for coffee.

Close to airport so convenient for travelers… surprisingly good and broad hot breakfast budget with great coffee too! I came with a large group and it disappointingly took our rooms several hours to be ready despite booking months in advance. Rooms were decent… only single rooms had a microwave but all had fridges. Bed was comfortable and seemed clean though I brought my own blanket. Hotel shuttle is horrible and not dependable and front desk isn't helpful in that area either. But not a bad stay overall and I would consider coming back unless the hotel across the street has a better price. Their shuttle took us when Fairfield's never showed.

Close convenient to Airport. I Made a goof up by cancelling my reservation. Noticed it after 2 days. Young Lady working in the hotel fixed that issue for me without any additional fees or charges over a quick 5 minute phone call. Shuttle Driver is very courteous and helpful. Hotel is neat and comfortable. Free Breakfast was good. Will recommend this place.

The rooms were nice. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was great! There's only one complaint I have. The temperature of the pool was very, very warm. The kids and I didn't enjoy it because it was so warm. They have a whirlpool also and the pool water was almost as hot as that. We asked the front desk if there was anybody who could lower the temperature for us and the lady at the front desk informed us that it was a heated pool and the temperature is supposed to be around 90 degrees. She did say that she would have someone come check the water though. A little over an hour later the man came and he told us someone must have hit some button because we were right, the temp. Was too high. He told us the water was supposed to be around 80 degrees though. He had us get out for 2 minutes while he pumped some cold water in the pool then told us it was all set. We thanked him and got back in the pool. Exactly the same! No change at all. I didn't bother anyone else after that, but because my kids love swimming so much, unfortunately we will have to find another hotel from now on.

Fairfield is such a cool and calm place. The people are very hospitable. Right from the Airport pick with all smile, captain right in time. Customer care always at your service. The rooms are superb, had everything in place. I loved everything about Fairfield. Would recommend to anyone going on vacation within this location and would love to come back here anytime I have opportunity.

Stayed one night at this hotel. Very nice and clean. Nice pool and hot tub also clean and we had them to ourselves. Good breakfast and shuttle service. Only issue we had was how hot it was in our room. The wall ac did not work at all just made a loud noise. Turned the room thermostat down also and it was still way too hot. Lost sleep over how hot it was in the room. Would stay again after checking to make sure the temperature control was working.

My son and I often stay at Fairfield Inn and Suites. We like the pool and breakfast options. The pool at this one was unusually and pleasantly warm! Great desk staff, clean room. $7.50 for two bottles of water and a small bag of ranch Fritos was a bit steep even for an airport location and $10 to park was unexpected.

We just stayed at this hotel for four nights. It was a great hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and awesome breakfast. They helped us get into NYC with ease and everyone was always helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived very late, my husband gets into bed and says the bed felt damp, I saw that the air condition was blowing towards the bed so I said it must be from the AC, the next night we get back to our room and get back into bed, he said "it still feels damp" after removing the sheets the smell of urine came over the room, they used about 5 pads to cover the wetness of the beds urine, and I don't mean a little, it was completely wet, we called front desk manager, she comes up and says how sorry she was that this happened and gets into another room and says someone will call us about it tomorrow, we'll upon check out we bring it up again, they said it never happened and refused to give us the manage that was there the day it happened name, management is rude and ignorant. And I will be calling the board of health on them!

Good beds and fairly large room. The breakfast is very good as well. Parking is 10 bucks a day and they also have a shuttle.

Somewhat difficult to get to but that is not the hotel's fault. Rooms were ok and the staff was pleasant.

It was a nice and quiet hotel, clean and tidy. It does has much in the way of amenities but it was still cool.

I'll never stay at this hotel or the one next door because of the location. I'll also never stay at the one next door. The exit is closed so the only way to get here is to find the entrance to whatever Hwy by taking three on and off ramps. Marriott company should sell these hotels based on the hour of frustration it gives its customers. I used my Garmin and Google and still couldn't get here. It took me an hour to find the flimsy signs that the hotel placed under the Hwy signs. Needless to say I cancelled my reservation for tomorrow.

The service is great, friendly staff great breakfast, so yeah the rooms are small but it is still good. Those people who said that its bad, forget you.

This hotel is overpriced and disfunctional. The rooms are small and clearly not well taken care of. When I was at the coffee bar there were ants crawling all around, their staff clearly has a lot of work to do. Along witht the fact that elevator smells more polluted than detroit itself, I would know I have been to detroit beofre for a tigers game. To top it all of the intgernet service sucks bull, its free but I only got reception in one part of my room and when I walked out into the hallway there wasnt any and even in the places where I did have reception it was slower than a mule. The hotel bed not even clean which is disgraceful considering the fact that the sheets are white and I found multiple tiny bugs in my bed I dont even know what kind they were! I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL IT IS OVERPRICED UNSANITARTY AND A DISGRACE TO THE MARRIOTT LINE OF HOTELS. Which is sad since I am typically a fan of their hotels I would though recommend the springhill right accross from it.

I stayed the entire weekend. We got lost but they were very understanding and we still had our room when we got there. The place was a little tricky to find with the construction and set up or new jersey highway but it is a very nice hotel and the staff is great. Breakfast and really good there is a good variety of food. It wasn't loud and there wasn't any weird smell like most hotel rooms. I had an incident where I couldn't find my Samsung Tablet and they went to great lengths to help me look for it and help me put in an incident sheet. They even went to the extent of having someone come in to read the door lock to my room in order to make sure no one accessed the room while we were out. It was found in the crack of the seat in the rental car. But, It put me at such ease to know they didn't just blow off my issue and really put effort into helping me. I would 100% stay there again when I go back to new jersey.

Needed a place to my work for the week and close access to EWR for an early flight out. So far, the staff has been very kind and helpful. Offered me a listing and menus of restaurants the delivered to the hotel since there is little very close. Decent amenities consistent with the Marriott brand. They offer a litany of methods to find the best way to get to the hotel which has undoubtedly not worked in their favor, but, they are doing everything to mitigate their situation. There are three Marriott properties located within 200 yards of each other — a Courtyard, Springhill Suites and the Fairfield Inn. If you can get to one, you can get to the other. I would recommend this Fairfield as a seasoned traveler.

Perfect for my needs. We checked in after going to the NY Giants game last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered my room. It looked as if it had recently been remodeled, very nice. It now featured a sitting area along accent lighting. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. No complaints here.

Nice clean pleasant rooms — breakfast very ho hum. Better than expect all around. Don't bet on the Apple Maps app being able to navigate you to it. It can't. All the other maps apps can though.
