Spent the night here and had a very pleasurable experience at the bar. Caitlin the bartender was very friendly and courteous. She even had to deliver food to the hotel rooms for people who ordered room service which I do not understand. That took her away from customers at the bar who wanted to order drinks. Pushed her service to those customers back at least 15 mins. Even longer since they only had 1 elevator working. A few guests even complained about it. There should be someone other than the bartender delivering room service. Overall though, her service in itself was excellent.

I stayed just last week to see my brother whom I haven’t seen in three years due to COVID. I have to say all the staff was fantastic. The front desk were lovely. Night Auditor Kim was super nice and laid back, even though my brother and I had been drinking and were probably talking her ear off (sorry). I really enjoyed my time and you all made it even better. Thank you.

The hotel is in a great location and the suite was a good size. Staff was unhelpful or uninterested during my stay. My wife requested a crib for our son and a dirty stained crib was brought. I did expect better from Hilton.

A Valet employee vomited in my in-laws car and acted like it didn't happen. The person didn't even attempt to clean it up. There was dried vomit in the car (Steering wheel and seat). A luxury car at that. One could assume the valet employees are taking cars and going out to party or maybe the employee got sick as he was parking the car. Either way, it's wrong on so many levels to leave bio-hazardous waste for someone else to clean up. The least the hotel or valet company could've done was pay for professional cleaning! This is how guest are treated? This hotel gets 1000 thumbs down for partnering with such a foul valet company.

Location is excellent and very handy to New York City, without the price tag. Easy commute on PATH/Subway to every part of NYC. Hotel staff are very helpful. Rooms are big modern and clean. Great place to stay.

They ask what you would like upon checking. Extra pillows, beer snack. Special coffee. Gone none of it. They were to be paid for but nothing was done extra for us. Do not recommend at all.

My daughter & I really enjoyed our 3-night stay from July 1 — 4th. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was going as well. And, if we needed something, it was sent right away. We will definitely stay there again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful family friendly rooms. We had a beautiful Manhattan view. Walking distance to Shop Rite, a mall and the Path (subway to Manhattan). There is a great boardwalk across the road to take in the beautiful cityscape.

Great new restaurant. Amazing food and drinks. Live jazz brunch and a rolling tableside Bloody Mary cart.

Hotel was fine, but lacking in a lot of areas. Only one elevator was working so it took forever to go up and down 9 floors. The bedding was super odd. There was one fitted sheet, a top sheet and duvet and another top sheet. I called down to ask if that was normal and I guess it is for this Hilton. For me, the duvet which isn’t a sheet needs a duvet cover. A little gross. Lastly, my boyfriend and I both woke up in pain. Terrible beds and pillows.

Requires a Hilton honors account for Wi-Fi and parking is $25 a night even for self park in their garage. Junior suite a lot smaller than other Hilton's we've stayed at, closet is almost useless and difficult to get clothes in and out of. The junior suite is more of a double room than a suite, I guess since they have a microwave they can call it a suite. Still, the price for the stay was fair and better than surrounding hotels and while the Wi-Fi was tedious to get going it had decent speed. Solid 3 star. Not great, not bad, room for improvement. Other Hilton double trees are leagues better and have much larger rooms.

The room was small. I got a room which was in the basement. Not recommended for a family of 4. I did not find the place worth for the money (DoubleTree by Hilton had rooms which was 100 times better worth the same price). Even Holiday INN Express was way better than this place. Breakfast was OK (coffee, fruits, muffins and bread). I would recommend to check for other options too before going for The Holland Hotel.

It's an amazing place to stay near NYC. Amazing rooms, spacious, great location, great view. I had booked a Junior suite with a king bed & a sofa bed. It could easily accommodate 4 adults. The sofa bed was of the size of a queen bed. Highly recommend.

Expensive but worth it! The rooms are very large with great views, staff super friendly, entire hotel very very clean. Parking garage is available but it'll cost you! Would definitely stay here again and again. Even provided a wedding shuttle to three guests that missed the paid transportation!

We had a lovely corner room, super spacious and of course exceptionally clean. The bathroom was a nice size and great toiletries. The only thing I didn’t particularly care for, and seems like an odd thing in general, is that the free cookies have walnuts in them. With the prevalence of nut allergies, you would think they would be a bit more basic. But if you are looking for something fairly close to the Newport Station, it’s a great spot.

Loved our recent stay at the DoubleTree Hotel this past weekend. The room we got was very beautiful and comfortable for my family. We got a corner suite with a view of New York City. I was happy to see a microwave and refrigerator in the suite. Cookies were amazing and it has a nice touch of feeling welcome when you check in. Only downfall, Wifi was not free. A. C buttons in one of the bedrooms was not working so we had to unplug to turn off. Overall very friendly staff.

A decent breakfast, decent beds, even if the sofa beds are not of incredible comfort.
A room service a little long, but not bad in terms of food quality.
When in sight, some rooms have a mediocre view of the buildings opposite, others when they have a very nice view of Manhattan.
There must surely be better in NY, but hey, this one is not unlivable.

Nice hotel. Nice big suite with 2 large flat screens. Warm cookie is a nice touch. I would have given this 5 stars, but front desk clerk at check in was less than friendly and wrote down the wrong password for Wi-Fi AND they make u buy water. It would be nice if they gave u at least 1 bottle.

Well maintained hotel. A bit unhappy with the check in and the employees at the front desk. That could use some improvement. But overall a nice clean place. Easy access to the City also.

We stayed here for a wedding nearby. Room was really nice… almost felt like a little suite. It had a dividing wall between the sitting area and the sleeping area. Comfy beds, huge spacious couch in room, two flat screen tv's in room. Only minor criticism is that there are no vending machines in hotel and their little shop downstairs had its shelves stripped almost bare. But that was really the only issue. We recommend this place if you are travelling to Jersey City.

The hotel is spectacularly modern and clean. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful and I had plenty of questions and requests. Breakfast was very good.

Here on business. Porters were great. Showed me how to Self park & where to park. They helped me with all of my bags, brought them to my room, with perpetual smiles. Front desk staff was very helpful. I needed to utilize the shuttle service for the 3 days I was in Jersey City. Prompt pick up and drop off. Again, helped with my work bags, smiling the whole time.
Highly recommend staying here.

I booked a room for a wedding. When I called to make a reservation, I told the front desk I was with the wedding, who had blocked off a set of rooms. I was told I couldn't get the block rate, as those rooms had sold out. I was assured there was no leeway on this. I hung up frustrated. Then my wife called, and was given the group rate with no questions asked. I later found out from another wedding guest that she had been offered a choice of one of the 62 that were vacant that night. My room was clean and my stay was pleasant, and it was a lovely wedding. Too bad I can't say the same for their sales department.

Room layout a bit unusual. No information in room as to what services/facilities hotel has. Parking lot difficult to navigate with extremely narrow lanes and tight turns. Huge TV in room and nice size fridge plus a microwave. Nice view of Freedom Tower from the room.

Excellent hotel, only the receptionist who attended the Check Inn time at first had a very bad attitude and after insisting that we solve the problem he did. Otherwise it is a very well located hotel, close to the PATH station that takes you to Manhattan in a few minutes, the rooms very comfortable and spacious, the bed comfortable and the cleanliness very good. I would like to congratulate Mathew from the reception for his kindness and good treatment. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again.

Enjoyed the stay, majority of the staff was awesome especially at the bar and restaurant but we had some issues ordering breakfast to the room. We utlized the form and followed the directions and no one delivered our food. This was supposed to be a time saving measure for us that ruined the last part of the trip.

Very nice hotel with great amenities and service. My king room was very spacious with a refrigerator, microwave, safe, and two very large flat screen televisions. The channel service was excellent on the television. The fitness center was superb! All the equipment was in excellent condition and the room was ver large with plenty of room to move and work out. My shower the best I have had in a long time. Very invigorating and relaxing. I highly recommended this hotel. Lots of great places to eat and shop near by.

Really beautiful hotel. We stayed in a recently updated King Suite and, for the price, it was extremely huge. Perfect for what we needed. Parking in the lot is a little tight, but not terrible. Upon entering our room, one of the two TVs didn’t work (not a big deal) as didn’t the phone in our room to call to the front desk or for room service. I just called from my cell phone and upon mentioning the previous two issues, they offered to have an engineer come straightaway. We declined because it was late and it just didn’t greatly affect our stay. But very much appreciated the offer. We ordered food from the restaurant on site and though it took about 40 minutes (around 7:30pm on a saturday night, so understandable), it was very good. All in all, great hotel.

It's a DoubleTree. Attractive lobby, bar and breakfast areas. The staff is very courteous and professional. Our room was large and spotless. We were on the 5th floor, but I was told that the higher floors were recently renovated. That being said, our room was very nice. My only negative comment is that the hotel charges $25 for parking in a non descript dirty garage. They charge more if you want to park using their valet service. I think that the hotel should improved a bit on the price for parking.

If you are going to NYC and want to avoid the Manhattan chaos go to Jersey City and stay at the Double Tree. They have the most friendly employees, and fully renovated rooms. 100% recommended.

Got an upgrade to a suite on the 12F. Buffet breakfast was overpriced for what it offers. Parking was nearly $30 per night including some city parking tax. Overall a pleasant stay. Kid loved it.

Stayed at DoubleTree while visiting the Statue of Liberty. Very nice hotel, clean and modern looking rooms. Reasonable prices and the surrounding area is very clean and safe. Would stay there again.

Well located in Jersey City especially for Manhattan view rooms, a 10, 15min train or ferry that leads to Manhattan, preferred the boat which in addition to being fast offers a nice view of Manhattan and Jersey, after the hotel in be, spacious room but some Finish are perfectible especially at this price, the parking is quite expensive, count 25dollars per day, but at least it is protected and supervised, the restaurant and bar of the hotel are nice and you eat well but the price goes with the rest… The photos are taken from the EMBA Rcadère located near the hotel.

Great hotel. Great NYC view from my room on 9th floor. 15min walk to Polos Hook ferry stop, or hotel shuttle will take you. Close to path station too! Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend and stay here again. King suite room was great if traveling with kids too.

Nicely appointed rooms with standard amenities. Parking deck easily accessible from the hotel. Bed was a little too firm for my taste, I prefer a soft mattress. The breakfast brunch was decent for a hotel. Although $44 for two people is a little high considering you can find some great breakfast places all around the area, but it was convenient.

Customer service and hospitality was completely lacking. We had to make alternate plans for our stay due to Governor Christie closing State Government including the park we had planned to visit. The staff was unaware of this and continued to argue that the park was open and were not helpful in giving us information on local travel. We ask about coffee the staff recommend we walk to Duncan Donuts, seriously! I would not recommend.

I called the front desk to ask where I was supposed to park because we didn't see the entrance. Her reply was "well I don't see you. " No kidding. Lol!
They took 20 mins to bring us extra coffee items and we weren't told anything about a breakfast in the morning that I've seen some people post about. When we asked about the transit, the same lady that "didn't see me" was not helpful at all and wanted to argue about information. They are supposed to be hospitality and didn't know that the state park had been closed by the governor! There was one helpful gentleman that helped us get around though, don't recall his name.
And. The valet drove my minivan so fast he threw all my kids toys off the seat! Travel agent recommend but I certainly will NOT!

Stayed for my wedding night, check-in went smoothly and got to our room promptly. We spent some time at the bar which was a pleasant experience. The bartender was very polite and experienced with making drinks, did not skimp on alcohol! The hotel room was comfy and we were greeted with a personalized note and a small cheese and fruit plate. We had a very good night's sleep and checked out by 11am. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Good hotel and good room but noisy person in the hotel.

Great stay. Was only for one night to visit family in the area. Da'ryl was soo nice and attentive. She even patiently walked me thru the online access that I was having problems with. She is a wonderful asset as the first person your customers have contact with. Hope her superiors know how lucky they are to have her. We will be back! As a former career banquet chef, I would say the breakfast buffet needs some work … self serve coffee would be a good start.

Went to set up a block booking for the night before my wedding for the people who are going to be at the rehearsal dinner. The sales rep that my fiance and I dealt with was very professional and helpful. We truly enjoyed our experience and ended up booking the block with them because of their willingness to accommodate and affordability.

This hotel is relatively run of the mill as hotels go. The staff is wonderfully pleasant though and the free cookies are a nice touch. However the room accommodations leave much to be desired. The bedding is lackluster, I've seen better at hotels half the price, the pillows must've been found on the street after being used by every homeless person in jersey and rejected in favor of a barren sidewalk. The room lighting, to be honest I'm not sure what the designer was thinking when they placed the fixtures and light switches. Now the bathroom was pretty nice, clean and stocked. In fact it was all clean and well put together. Unfortunately the small things are just too many for me to give this hotel a glowing review.

All what it takes is one employee to NOT do their job correct to RUIN your vacation! Pleaseeeeee be careful making reservations with this doubletree Hotel in jersey City, NJ. I told the Staff over the phone more than 10 times I wanted a City View Suite! I never discussed the Rates with the staff because I didn't care how much it will cost me. I just wanted a pretty suite for our family to enjoy our Christmas get away weekend. The employee gave me my total over the phone and I paid it. When I got here I got a crappy suit with an ugly view window that you can't see anything but the street and moving cars. I called front desk, then I went down stairs with my credit card willing to pay extra to get an upgrade and they said they do see my request in the system for a city view, but they're all booked and can't do anything about it. I was sooo looking forward for this weekend and for my stay at doubletree and Now I'm crying upstairs in my hotel room, because all my stuff are here, I'm tired! My kids are tired! and I feel I'm tied up, because it's too late to go to another hotel. It's Christmas! Everyone is booked! I'm very upset! My experience = 0 in this hotel.

When we talked on the phone to book a room and we were promised 2 king sized beds and a view. We left and It took us 10 hours to get there because we were from out of state and were exhausted. When we got there they told us that they didn't have any rooms with king sized beds. Not only that but they said they didn't have any room with queen sized beds. They only had a room with two double beds. This was very disappointing considering we booked days in advance and they could have called us, but they didn't. We were a family of 5 and needed the room. At this point there was nothing we could do, we needed a place to sleep so we took what we could get. We never even got a price reduction. I'm convinced to this day that they did this on purpose because they knew that we needed a room and there would be nothing we could do about it. They told us that a king room would be available the next day but we would have to love our own luggage. We said no as this was just unnecessary hassle that shouldn't have happened in the first place. The view was ok, nothing spectacular and definitely not worth $150. Perhaps it was because we weren't supposed to be in the room that we got but who knows. Among other things like the coffee maker not working and the toilet not flushing at times I'd say our stay was just ok, however I expected a lot more especially for the price we paid.

Offered city view and did not delivered what was promised. With half of the hotel empty, they couldn't give us the view. We also requested a crib at the moment we checked in (3:00pm), we left and came back at 11:00 pm. No crib! They brought it after calling them with no sheets or blankets! Finally I had to go to the lobby to get it, but they could only give me the blanket, after 10 min they came to the room with another blanket instead of the sheets. So my little girl finally went to sleep at midnight or so. Terrible service. Too bad the general manager only responds to the good reviews! I can do that too!

I booked two nights in a queen suite the night before I arrived and got an amazing deal of $273 for both nights. Extremely convenient to the city right down the street from the subway and the valet parking was well worth the $30 a night and the valet guy was extremely helpful and kind. The room was very nice and all the amenities were modernized. Also, it's very easy to get a city view without paying extra. The only slight downside is that the Wi-Fi costs $10 per day which is not heinous for this area plus it's complimentary in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again.

OVERPRICED ($600ish BEFORE taxes for two nights). I was there in 2nd week of May 2015 with the wife to visit some friends in the area and attend a wedding later in the week. We stayed two days. Rooms are decently sized, water bottles are free, and they give you hot baked cookies when you check in. They have a 250-300 Square Foot gym (tiny) with a few cardio machines and free weights. Parking is $28-$30 a night, plus the city taxes you on the parking fee. The service is not that friendly. Valet guys are okay but the front desk are POOR listeners. They like to blurt out "no" before listening to the entire question/request from guests.

Close to the ferry and path stations if you need to visit Manhattan. Clean place and polite staff, checked out late by 2 hours, did not get charged for the extra time. Will stay again.

My coworkers and I just took our first work trip to go to NYC and we were on the road very late I called doubletree because I knew it would be nice and clean. We didn't get into the hotel lobby until 1:39am Monday morning and once we arrived we were greeted by a very nice kind woman named Edith the night desk associate. She must have read my mind or could tell that I was on an 8 hour+ road trip from hell lol her kindness truly turned my attitude around just by being nice! Ms. Edith apologized for our wait (But I swear we were only waiting maybe 2 minutes) and she said I can upgrade you to our corner 15th floor penthouse suite! I said thank you very much (Inside I was jumping for joy! ) Once we got to the room it was unreal it had the best view of NYC and it was a beautiful room with the most amazing bed I've ever slept in. Once we woke and went to NYC we got to where we were going in 15 minutes (if you don't count looking for parking). With the friendliness of all the employees, the cookies they give out, the amazing vie, their amazing beds and the close proximity to the Holland tunnel this is the best choice and when I go back will be my choice again! I hope I get surprisingly upgraded again! But either way thanks Doubletree Jersey City.

We stayed there from August 21 though August 26, 2014 The accommodations were perfect; staff were extremely courteous. The transportation to and from the hotel to NYC and other parts of Jersey City and Hoboken were easy and relatively inexpensive using public transportation. Eateries in the immediate area were very good. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I drove in from NC and arrived early in the morning. Needed a room for the day as I was getting back on the road that evening. I made the mistake of going to the Candlewood Suites to request a room. The staff was nasty and wanted me to wait until 3 that afternoon to come in. I bounced around to another place that did not have vacancy. I showed up at Double Tree exhausted and in need of sleep. The clerk at the desk Mildred was a God send! She had me hold on for just a few minutes and got me into a room that was just cleaned. She assisted me in every way that she could. It's rare to come into a place these days and have a someone treat you so well. Her helpfulness and kindness that day was greatly appreciated. The room was beautiful, and PERFECT! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone I know and I would easily book with them for any future trips. Thanks Mildred.

While staying at the Doubletree for a wedding, I booked a Rehearsal Dinner Party for 25 people. The buffet was Surf and Turf and cost $70.00 a person without Alcohol. THE BUFFET WAS HORRIBLE The Surf and Turf included crab cakes the size of a fifty cent piece, rolled up Salmon overdone and dry, prime rib about 1/4 of an inch thick. The salmon went almost untouched along with the prime rib. The crab cakes tasted OK and were finished quickly then replaced with hot dogs. The rooms were fine.

Very good restaurant everybody is very nice like the staff and all. Could use a pool and more facilities. Rooms are big and beautiful. Overall a wonderful experience spent with my lovely wonderful and let's not forget amazing girlfriend. Thank you Doubletree.
