Great service at this location, and breakfast from 6am to 10am every day. 4th floor rooms on the side away from the train seemed to be better, as the overnight trains seemed to keep my colleagues on the train side awake. Two of them also commented on how loud the in-room AC was every time it came on. I didn't find it to be a problem in my room. My room was spotless. The bathroom shower water pressure was mediocre but won't be a problem unless you're super picky. Fridge, microwave and coffeemaker all available in room. Short walk to a few good restaurants, but I was advised not to walk alone at night.

The worst ever! everything was horrible. People were fighting throughout the night. There was no security. My mom was trapped in the elevator while two men were fighting over money and drugs. We reported each of the four incidents with no resolutions. The rooms needs to be updated. They all smelled terrible. The pool area was horrible.

Nice hotel, great price & location! Convenient easy access to Penn station. They provided a shuttle to and from Penn Station if you prefer not to drive. (No additional cost). The breakfast was good and the Wednesday managers evening special was good. (Beer, wine, cocktails and sandwiches) The outside area of the hotel appeared a little sketchy. However, my family and I felt safe even at night when we walked to the store near the hotel.

Great location! Super convenient transportation to NJ Penn. Breakfast was consistently good. Only two minor issues … lack of parking on a Saturday night (looked like non-guests were in the lot and every morning when housekeeping came in, they changed out our towels (even when we hung them and the signs say hang towels to reuse and be green) and then restocked with towels for four guests and we were five in our suite. Day staff VERY friendly and helpful.

I had come from Chicago to make an AM delivery about 5 miles away and I happened to get there at 2 am. I was only actually there for only 4-6 hours as a result. The Hotel itself is actually pretty great. The Modern setup in my room made me feel like they put effort into their rooms, I had all The toiletries I needed, and the rooms were air conditioned which is a huge plus for me. If I didn’t get there so late and it wasn’t Thursday night going into Friday (which is busy For hotels I’d think) I think I would’ve had a better experience. I don’t recommend checking in late at night because the parking will be full and the extra parking they have is more exposed to the public. The staff was also all over the place, so it was hard trying to get a hold of someone at the front desk, but the service was good once I did get a hold of someone. I would’ve maybe given a 4 Star rating if the circumstances were more to my convenience.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. Not the best location. You will not get great Riverside view. The river is not clean. But this is not the review of the river. Staff is very friendly here. A selection of good dinners in the close proximity too. This is our second time we stay here. No issues.

The best nights sleep ever! Great room layout, spectacular location and shuttle to Newark Penn Station available. Plenty of outlets for electronics are in the room. Fitness room, pool, and a culturally diverse complimentary breakfast that includes healthy options. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great hotel! I would recommend it for anyone want to visit New York, the hotel is about 25 min in the subway to NYC…

Nice place and location. Despite the ongoing renovations, this hotel is well maintained. My room was perfect. The complimentary drinks and refreshments were a nice touch. The front desk staff was very pleasant and attentive. They even helped me retrieve an item I forgot in the room. I will definitely stay here again.

I wish I could give this place a 0. I was looking for a room with a jacuzzi tube. Got to this room and it was a regular tub with jets in it. Room was over price, the pool was out of order and they do not offer late check out. None of this was mention at the time I booked and payed for the room. On duty manger was rude and didn’t not compliment us in any way. Do not waste your time or money at this place.

My coworker and I stay at the Riverwalk every time we have work at our Jersey facility. It is always clean and quiet, with excellent service from the staff. Across the street is an incredible restaurant called Mr. Adam's Steakhouse. Always an excellent stay.

The staff was nice. The room was nice and clean as expected for this chain. There was an evening mixer with free alcoholic beverages and appetizers. My only complaint is that there was no hot water for my early morning shower. The water was warm at best. Due to me needing to leave to catch a flight, I didn't have time to complain to staff during my visit or for them to fix it.

Had a couple of minimal complications such as no soap for laundry and no shuttle driver after 11pm but the staff offered amazing service and solved every single one of our requests. The view was great from the room and everything was impecable. Great hotel!

Great place to stay for a trip into the city. Shuttle to Penn station worked great for taking the train in every day. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Wi-Fi has been relatively slow compared to other Hampton Inn locations that I have stayed at. But the breakfast options are better than your run of the mill continental set-up.

Great location. The shuttle will take you right to Newark Penn station if you need to go to NYC. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good; I liked the option of rice and miso soup offered.

This place is what you call great service. Customer service amazing. Staff makes you feel like your home. Everyone is so kind. My family had a great time.

The most amazing place I've ever stayed at. First class attentive staff that make you feel like family. They are very polite and respectful. Always welcoming and approachable. I feel so comfortable as if it's my home. Great customer service! Convenient location, shuttle service around the clock. And the hot breakfast is most delicious. Very well kept, clean surroundings. The location is interesting but if you work across the river, it's great. My room faced the river and was quite loud due to the Amtrak and New Jersey rail just beyond. Planes flying by were annoying at times when trying to sleep. Having a fridge, sink and microwave we're great to have so I could store my own drinks and leftovers and heat then up later. The complimentary breakfast was nice to have. If you need the shuttle service to or from Newark Penn Station, you have to call them. They don't drive around all day on a schedule. Great stay, clean and fri ndly staff. Would recommend if you're here for work like I was.

Nice hotel. Clean, comfortable and well run. Not really near anything, but the hotel run a shuttle to Newark Penn Station so you get to NYC via train in 30-40 minutes.

Extremely accommodating! The staff was awesome and went out of their way to make everyone happy. We partied till the wee hours of the morning after my uncle's wedding in the lobby/bar area.

So far, loving it herr. I enjoy all the amenities, like the complimentary breakfast, the gym, and the shuttle service. Everyone here has been extremely friendly amd helpful. The room is decent except for a humming fridge, but I like that each room offers a fridge and microwave. So I cant complain… sometimes you get one or the other. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for its location and service.

The room was very nice. The hotel was clean all advertised amenities were available. The hot breakfast was nice compared to the usual continental breakfast offered by most hotels. Great value!

I did not expect much from this hotel, but it turned out to be a pretty great place in the middle of Newark. The staff were friendly and breakfast was great. I would stay again.

The rooms were great. They were huge. We fit 6 of us in a room we had the bed that was in there, the pull our bed and an air mattress. It was very roomy.

Location is pretty good. Right by dunkin donuts and Speedway. Plus they provide breakfast until 10am and not just any breakfast. But, really delicious full of variety food items for breakfast. They also provide complimentary shaving cream, lotion, razor, etc if needed. Surely a place to stay if in Harrison.

Great location where I needed it when I needed it. Hotel staff was knowledgeable about the area and was a great help when finding local attractions. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

Convenient shuttle service, clean room, nice furniture, plenty of room space, decent breakfast. I pretty much needed a nice place to stay overnight at the last minute and it fit the bill. The whole staff was cordial as well.

I had a very nice room on the top (6th) floor with a good view of the river (hence Riverview). The room itself was nice, and had a very nice bathroom. The hotel offered breakfast and had a bar open at night. The staff was very accommodating as I needed to get into the room early and check-out a bit late, but they gave me no issues. Overall, a very nice hotel for the short stay.

Great location, very friendly staff, great looking facility! Very clean! Great view of the rather gross looking Passaic River and the slums of Newark on the other side. Quiet! Was able to get a good and full night's sleep after a long day of driving. Price was right but that 15% tax was unexpected. Budget accordingly! Breakfast goods seemed par for the course, cereals, eggs, sausage, bagels, a DIY waffle station that was being used/abused by seemingly orphaned children, some fruit, yogurt, muffins, and a selection of coffee, hot water, and fruit "drank" (as I'm sure at one point prior to reaching my cup, the fruit juices were in powder form). CNN on the lounge/breakfast dining area TV with a volume level set 2 points above intolerable. I remember watching this hotel being built and I am happy to see how nice it looks inside and out. The "covered" garage has good clearance but you may want to reconsider the mini-van or anything larger unless you're okay with 400 point turns to park/exit the garage. Walking distance to the Harrison night life and restaurants, if that's your thing. Bring your own water! The place appears to be sponsored by Coca-Cola! Dasani is disgusting and glancing at the flowing brown river of liter will make you think hard about tap water! Room was great (402), although I was near a stairwell or something because every time the fire door was opened, my door would shift and it almost seemed like something was pushing on the door.

Most racist hotel I've ever been in. They judge everyone by their looks… The staff don't seem really focus on their work, they get distracted by their own social media lifes. They assume situations so they can get more money. One time I spend the night there but they kicked me out for no good reason and I didn't stayed there for 10 min, they were already assuming things by my looks at the main office. This is a bad hotel, not only they stole my money, they ruined my boyfriend's birthday too.

Best stay ever! Will be back again. Breakfast was delicious. Love the shuttle buses. The people who work there treat you as if you are family.

Service was great, room was very nice. Beds were extremely comfortable. Continental breakfast was very good. Would not hesitate to stay there again. A+
