The location can't be beat! Such a short walk to town and the beach. Rooms are cozy, the staff is super friendly, and the pool is a great perk! We'd love to stay again!

They do not like black/ethnic looking people or anyone under the age of 35. If you are young and remotely want to have a good time, do not stay here. If you want to relax and have a good time and not be bothered for no reason other than your mere presence, do not stay here. If you want to meet up with anyone for lunch, do not invite them to meet you at the Lark beforehand. They do not welcome anyone other than the actual guests staying in the room. You are not allowed to have any guests on the premises at any time even if they are clearly not sleeping in the actual room and have reservations/keys to the hotel next door, or maybe that was just us. I sure hope they do not treat all their "guests" this way. God forbid someone waits for you outside your door for 5 minutes, they ask them to leave. If you are white and in your 60's, stay here! they will appreciate your business and treat you fairly. If you DO wish to be discriminated and prematurely judged at the time of check-in based upon your age, stay here! Otherwise please do not waste your time or money especially on a holiday weekend.

The absolute worst customer experience I’ve ever been exposed to… leaving a single star rating simply due to the requirements, otherwise would have provided a negative marker if at all possible. This motel was a last resort option in a late decision this year to venture to the beach during an always exciting memorial day weekend to kick off the beginning of the summer season. The majority of other establishments were booked as anticipated due to the holiday, and prior to booking was actually surprised to see the amount of availability this place had, which in heinsight makes all the most sense. The reason for the poor rating is wholly related to the unprecedented behavior of management who sad to say later identified themselves as actual ownership. The unpleasant experience began immediately during check-in… not to mention the complete and utter inconvenience in booking a room here as they require you to place a security deposit in the form of mailing an actual check which is quite unbelievable. Nevertheless, during check-in, which was done with my wife and a good friend in tow, we were basically interrogated right from the start about the amount of people the room would be housing. The room that was booked had two queen beds that in all other scenarios is usually able to accommodate a total of 4 people.

The service is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our bedroom’s AC had a very bad smell, very stinky, we had no idea what it was but it went away. The hotel has an awesome location, close to the beach and the shopping area. Despite the AC issue I would give them another chance sometime this summer. The pool was nice, small and clean.

Anybody that wants a fun little getaway in a beautiful little shore town stay at The Lark. With a long family history of ownership it’s clean and comfortable and right near the beach and center of town. Walk to everything. Enjoy.

This is truly a great motel. I have stayed here 5 times in the last 7 years. Great location. Great for taking kids to the Beach. Very clean. Excellent service. A really wonderful and affordable option for visiting Stone Harbor.

My new favorite place to stay at the beach! Affordable and only a block from the beach. The management is very kind and helpful.
