Cannot thank the management of Chatham Bars Inn for making our 40th anniversary so special. They organized a wonderful dinner at the Captains Table. Some of the best food we have eaten, with our own waiter and just about the entire management staff. We will never forget the care and kindness provided by the staff of Chatham Bars Inn.

What an all around wonderful place. I can’t think of what could make it better. Amazing — top notch — staff & food, fantastic rooms & spaces in general, incredible ocean views & location (easy walk to super cute Chatham village), beautiful beach… even a joy to visit in November without the hustle & bustle of the high-season crowd. I just can’t say enough good things. 5 star.

Lovely surprise! My friends arranged a day at the spa! Unbeknownst to me their plans changed and they could only come fir lunch! I showed up and had a spa day, lovely lunch and the waitress brought birthday truffles! So sweet. Then I went to the pool and was greeted with a birthday glass of bubbly from Brianna! The valet were great. Terrific customer service!

We attended a cocktail hour on the front lawn, a wedding reception at the Beach House, and a Sunday Brunch at the Boathouse this weekend. It was absolutely beautiful. The superior Service was professional and friendly. The food was fresh, mouth watering and plentiful. Atmosphere welcoming and inviting. I look forward to returning in the future!

This is as close to the perfect resort as you can find. A five star experience in every respect. Rooms are stunning, food is delicious and over the top, service is first rate — professional and bend over backwards helpful. I've stayed at luxury resorts all over the globe and the Chatham Bars in is world class in every respect. Kudos to Gary Thulander and his team for a job well done. We will be back!

Wonderful place to relax ; great setting. Staff very friendly & helpful. Make sure you get to the beach & swim as opposed to the pool. Cannot comment on the food as couldn't get a table during our short stay which speaks to the popularity of the place. If we come to this part of NE again this is where the wife & I would look to stay.

I had an amazing experience at this location. The atmosphere is one of a kind, paired with more of a "high class" vibe. I felt like I was truely cared for by the staff, making sure my ever want/need was attended to. I will be returning next year for another outstanding visit. 10/10 highly recommend.

The service and everything was wonderful! I ordered the mussels and most were delicious, but some we're unopened (mussels should open when cooked). They should have all been checked before being sent out. But those that were opened we're delicious!

Extremely elegant and high class. Menu items are from a very short range of options (about 4 picks per course). Delicious and beautiful preparation. Stellar and unique dessert options not found elsewhere. A great choice for a special celebratory occasion, but be prepared to lay down some serious cash in exchange for the wonderful experience here.

I had dinner on the veranda at the Chatham Bars Inn. The menu was more limited than I expected, but they had some interesting choices. I had the burrata salad which was delicious. The goat cheese flat bread was good but nothing special. The best things about the dining experience were the views of the beach and the wait staff. The servers were friendly and personable. When asked about their opinions on choices, they honestly shared what they knew and did not know. I feared the way they describe themselves as an elite hotel would mean that the servers would act more reserved. Instead they seemed to adjust to their customers demeanor. At least they did for me. Valet parking made that part of the experience easy.

Great spot to get away from it all. The staff is friendly and there to assist. The rooms are beautiful and feels like a home away from home. During the right time of year you cannot go wrong.

Location is right in front of the beautiful waters. Both valet and wait staff were extremely professional. I've also been told that their food has been improving every year so I look forward to the next time to done at this fine establishment.

Beautiful and charming hotel on the water. Highly recommend for a beach vacation. Close to town too. Rooms all updated too. They are cottages across the property. They have lexus suv to drive you around too. Amazing spa too.

This is the quintessential cape cod resort. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, excellent food, fantastic spa are just a few of the exceptionally things you will find here. Also complimentary boat shuttle to quiet, soft Sandy Beach! Outdoor bar with fire pits and pool area with cabanas. When the flowers are blooming, it is the icing on the cake! Complete cape cod experience.

The vibe is classical and beachy. The staff is super nice. We were waiting on a line to check in and the staff offered complimentary drinks and snacks. The room is cozy and move views. Lastly, must check out the spa.

Stayed for a wedding. Great food and Great guest services. The pipes froze in our first room so we had no running water and they got us a new room asap.

A truly excellent experience. Would highly recommend getting a spa room. Includes a sauna, steam shower, tub, and fire place. The turn down service was truly ninja like and every time we went for an extended leave our room was brought to its original condition. Visit off season to experience the tranquility of the winter.

Overpriced and overrated. Stayed 2 nights in a cottage. Bed mattress was soft and uncomfortable. Left in the AM at 8 and returned at 2 and the room still wasn’t attended to! At that point, it was like don’t bother to do it. I put the do not disturb sign up so we could nap. We reused the towels. Didn’t bother to eat or drink there because there are more reasonable price options elsewhere. If you are rich and have money to burn this place is for you. Otherwise, for half the price you can do just as well for accommodations.

We stayed for 2 nights in the spa suits and they were far beyond expectations with a lovely staff that went out of their way to make mine and my fiance's engagement memorable. The food at the sacred cod was delicious and the wait staff was again amazing. We will definitely return.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, valet parking, chandeliers everywhere! My work did our office party there and the food was absolutely amazing, the staff was extremely professional and the inside was decorated beautifully! Just to give you a sense of the fanciness even the bathrooms were very nice, each stall had an actual door, and you dried your hands with linen cloths, lol!

I came here for a drink with three friends on a quiet Saturday night. We walked into the bar area to look for a seat. There were only two seats at the bar, so we asked if we could be seated at a table in the bar area. Now, this seems like an easy request, but for some reason we couldn't get a straight answer out of the two staff members we asked. One of the staff members was sitting nearby, socializing with some of the hotel guests, ignoring the rest of the patrons. So, we sat at a nearby table, unsure of where to place our order. The hostess was nowhere to be found when we had come in, but after a few minutes she came by and told us we were fine to sit at the table and that someone would be out soon to take our order. So we ordered drinks a few minutes later, no problem. We got our drinks, and 10-15 minutes later our server brought us the check. We were not even a quarte of the way through our drinks. We said nothing, but looked at each other in confusion. We had given no indication that we were only staying for one drink or that we were in a rush to close out, and our server had not even asked if we would like another round. So we were a little thrown by this, and felt uncomfortable. We let the check sit, as we were not planning to leave for a while. A few minutes later, our server came back to collect the check and we had to stop her from taking it because we had not put a card down yet.

I have been driving by The Chatham Bars Inn for over 35 years now but had never visited… just admired from afar. I just want to give a big "thank-you" to your assistant manager on duty this past Saturday … "Elizabeth Kennedy". We were a group of 5 lifelong friends celebrating our friends 60th birthday with drinks on the veranda @ the Chatham Bars Inn. It was a beautiful fall day but a bit chilly. We asked for a few shawls or blankets as we had seen others with them sitting out on the lawn. They gave us the 1 they had and then within a few minutes Elizabeth came out with 4 more CBI throws for each of us, along with an appetizer dish. She was very welcoming, so friendly and chatted with us for a little while. She went out of her way to make our afternoon a memorable one! This was my 1st time to The Chatham Bars Inn and now I can say I checked it off my bucket list! … We will definitely be back to celebrate our other 4 "60th birthdays" within the next year … Thanks.

Had an amazing time while staying here for girls weekend this past Saturday! The staff was amazing on all levels from bringing out our friends birthday cake, cutting it and serving it for us to the service in the dining room the next morning at breakfast. Valet was some of the friendliest gentlemen I’ve ever encountered when needing my car parked. Everyone we passed that worked there always said hi. One of the best breakfast buffets I have ever experienced… lots of options and the food was outstanding! Usually you aren’t allowed to take your leftover home from a buffet but they let me take my omelet that I never touched because I was so full. The grounds are gorgeous and the main building (where I stayed) was beautiful! It felt comfortable and it had personality and charm… I felt relaxed the whole time I was here! I would highly recommend staying here… can’t wait to go back and show my husband how beautiful this place is! Keep doing what you’re doing CBI because you guys are doing it right!

This hotel is amazing, the food, room, service and grounds exceed expectations. This property clearly raises the bar, there is nothing like it on Cape Cod. Great location near down town Chatham.

Stay at East Wind Cottage! (ocean view side, obvs) I just had the privilege of spending two nights in East Wind Cottage, room 292 — — the view of the beach and ocean from my living room was stunning. CBI staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my visit, I highly recommend staying here if you can swing it (Thank you friend of a friend who made my reservation affordable! )

We went for lunch and it was great. Wonderful view and service. There's a bar/grill closer to the beach we also went to for drinks after.

We love this place and will come back. It's good for entire family. My kids and my mother are enjoyied. Especial the pool and jacuzzi. It's a little pricey but the customer service, the view and the environment of the hotel are amazing. Definitely pay for what you get.

Amazing evening. Servers call you by name, personable and professional. The dining room had lovely ambience. Best of all the food was to die for. We had an anniversary dinner and they greeted us with complimentary champagne, wrote Happy Anniversary on our dessert plates in Chocolate, and the staff we interacted with offered congratulations. Can not say enough. We've decided this will be our go to Anniversary spot!

Best property on Cape Cod. Had lunch and drinks there at the Beach Bar. The swordfish tacos with truffle fries were delicious. The entire staff at the Inn were extremely well trained and provided top notch service. Daniel, the manager, was particularly attentive. The Inn is a "must" return destination when I am on Cape Cod again, hopefully next year.

Overpriced. Great start, staff was amazing at check-in and every employee we met, outside of Stars, was caring and helpful. However, the allure ended there. Actually ask for a service and it's slow, sometimes nonexistent until you complain. We left the room at 7:30am and came back at 1pm and the room still wasn't made. When they did they left only decaf coffee when we only used regular; I called for replacements which came 3 hours later after our do not disturb sign was on which they ignored. I had gone down to the front desk 2 hours earlier to get replacements which obviously wasn't noted. For the price I expected much better.

Whenever I'm on the cape, the CBI is a must hit. The kitchen is always putting out interesting and tip quality food. And what better compliment than having some of the best cocktails and views in New England? You must visit if you haven't. Time seems to slow down here.

The location is wonderful I was able to have an ocean view. Rooms are cleaned and tidy whenever I'm in it. Service was immediately and shows importance of my arrival.

We have a house nearby and love having lunch and drinks down by the pool and the water. The food and the service are both fantastic and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend checking it out.

The views were gorgous. The beds were very comfortable, the staff were excellent and professional at all times, I was there on business, but I will be coming back personally.

Wholly molly it's expensive. Great food, great preparation. Even the vinagrette on the house salad (a pile of lettuces) was great. Service was great. They even brought the kids' dishes early. I had the tuna burger which was a little salty, and wife had the lobster roll which was also well done. I just wish it wasn't insanely expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

Fantastic place — the views are superb, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean; the staff is excellent; the food is elegant; the rooms and public areas are lovely and best of all, they are highly supportive of the local community. We, as locals, go there as often as we can to dine and recommend it to people who want to special New England resort experience. People rave about their spa and enjoy their rooms.

Second time I was there my husband and I enjoy the grounds and the roll in shower. Had to get a staff member to show us how to work coffee maker. Also needed a refrigrater for meds for my husband had to get another one. Also had to call to have our room clean at 1:00pm next day. New years eve party was great, in the south lounge. Food was the best. Staff one the best teams we ever stay at. Went to the spa very strange chairs not comfortable. Two many people moving around removing the trash. Twice two of the staff were looking for clients that were not there. My treatment was great. We will return soon.

This hotel is just gorgeous. Beautiful views, great rooms, great restaurant. One of the most attentive staffs I have seen at a hotel. We were there in the off season, which was perfect because it wasn't quite as crowded. Will likely not stay at any other hotel on the Cape, after having experienced this.

We go every year for a getaway during the off-season and it is always perfect. The food is fantastic, the ambiance is outstanding, and the rooms are perfect. If you stay in a spa suite you have no reason to observe any of the other amenities because you have no real reason to leave your room. Put on a robe, order some room service champagne, turn on the fireplace, and start your soak in the hot-tub. You won't regret it.

Stopped in for a cocktail on the veranda the other day. The cocktails were really great. However, they should be at $15.00 each. My complaint is this: The veranda furniture is just plain ugly bamboo mildew looking stuff, and the big round dark gothic looking tables on the veranda just don't look nice. The large sitting room inside lacks character of any kind. Funeral homes have more character than that room. The furniture is out of scale and the fabrics are just not even there, meaning you notice nothing. Check out the fabric on the windows in the library room. Very unattractive. Who does the decorating, anyway? What happened to the old world 1920's charm the place alluded years ago? The white wicker that covered the veranda and the large living room. The summer light feel I would experience when entering that establishment. The grandeur feeling of the place is lost. I wonder at this time if the chatham bars inn is having financial issues due to these facts and the fact that the gardens and surrounding grounds look so very lame. That is compared to the past years. I visited the wesquasset inn after we visited the chatham bars inn, what a delightful visual experience it was. The gardens alone are worth the trip to see. The grounds explode with glorious color and design. The view is gorgeous as well and the staff and the cocktails were just wonderful. The dining experience was just most enjoyed. I will certainly revisit.
