Very pretty location. Nice venue.

Love this place! Beautiful Room and great staff! We were booked at another establishment in wells and showed up here on a whim as the other place was absolutely horrific. I pulled in here somewhat distressed and explained what was happening and luckily there was one room available. I wish I got her name but the woman at the front desk was so great. Got us in very quickly and asked housekeeping to go and make sure the room was ready and clean (and boy did they). The room was fantastic and it was absolutely spotless. Saved our trip! Will be back for sure!

Will never stay here again. Had a horrible experience with our last booking. Completely unhelpful and they remove negative reviews, so read this while you can and stay away, lol.

Awesome with views of ocean in the distance.

I was there this weekend for a wedding. Jamie and her girls were very accommodating and fun. The food was amazing. The rooms are very spacious and are all different. I hope to be back in summer for the true near the ocean experience.

What a fabulous stay my family and I just had! We rented two rooms across the hall from each other on the first floor and it worked out perfect. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of not only the rooms, but the public areas of the resort. Maintenance and the folks that tend to the rooms were very attentive and kind. Same for the office folks. This is our 4th or 5th year in a row staying at VBTS and I can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you to the VBTS staff for keeping such a clean resort during a pandemic. Gave us peace of mind and helped us enjoy our stay.

An amazing place to stay. So much space & privacy. Nearly full sized apartments w/ all the amenities.

I tried canceling my stay cause of this corona virus. They wanna still charge me a fee. Never Will I stay again.

We have stayed here during February vacation 2yrs in a row and now making it 3yrs. We love it here. The indoor pool and hot tub are great and the views are good too. Looking forward to year 3!

Village by the sea was the perfect spot for our destination wedding! Our family raves about the rooms, the venue was perfect, and everyone from the amazing event staff to caterers were amazing! We want to come back every year and celebrate! Can not recommend this place enough for stays and event!

We just had a wedding there in July 2019. Jaime and Jen did an excellent job — even with challenging guests — Jaime couldn't have handled everything better. It rained just before the ceremony and so it was set up indoors quickly and beautifully! I highly recommend this venue both for weddings as well as just staying there while vacationing.

Great beaches around there and the condo is excellent.

We’ve been staying at VBTS FOR 20 years or so now going with our Grandson… mom and Dad too VBTS HAS ALWAYS BEEN SUPER CLEAN. All the staff if you see them are very pleasant. (What I mean by that is when you check in your room is all ready to go no need to see anybody) The pools are amazing great for young and old alike. All in All GREAT PLACE RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY AND WE WERE JUST THERE For a few days 6/9/19– 6/10/19Thank you for the memories.

Our friends flew here from S. C. For a week visit and when they arrived at Condo 15 B they were ready to vomit Being blunt is best as you don't want to vacation rent here. The landscape is beautiful but you don't sleep on landscape. The condo had cob webs on the lights, all floor, carpet dirty and stained. Cereal behind the recliner from the last ppl here. Just disgusting. I am embarrassed as a Mainer to have my friends stay here. Even the bathroom door locked us out and has no key. Beds are rock hard and the outdoor deck has plastic table, chairs. No umbrella. There's more and its a very old unit. The photo's were nothing like what it actually is. (speaking of this unit only) 15B. You will be disappointed.

Gail and the team at VBTS did an AMAZING job with our wedding last weekend. I am still in awe of how she kept her cool despite many stressful factors, including crazy weather and a couple who were insistent about an outdoor ceremony, a ridiculously large wedding party to wrangle and keep in order, missing flowers, a car alarm that would NOT stop going off, and various other things to keep us on our toes. We also wanted a very allergy/vegetarian-friendly menu and the chef was so accommodating to us. I was worried our guests would be grumpy about our menu choices, but they seemed to really enjoy the food! We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with this venue. We had a beautiful weekend with family and friends, and it was truly incredible. I am so thankful to this lovely staff who are all just such wonderful (and significantly more organized than me) people. Village by the Sea has such a special place in our hearts now! Thank you for all your hard work in making such a memorable and special weekend for us! If you are looking for a terrific venue with a great staff, look no further!

We had a Family Reunion at Village by the Sea, and Gail was absolutely wonderful, positive, and professional in every way. The staff was amazing. The food and drink was exactly what we needed. The York room was perfect. And, our hotel apartment, 13F, was truly a gem. So pleased and overjoyed with Village by the Sea, will highly recommend to all! Thank you!

The condos are nice and roomy, have plenty of amenities, and a decent view, all for a fair price. Plus, it is close to many things you might need. We are enjoying our stay very much.

Had a wonderful time! The amenities are great. Cant complain. And besides a hard bed and janky pull out couch, it was fantastic.

The rec room stuff and some of the electronics in the room were as well, but overall a nice, clean, and convenient location. Great value for the space.

My favorite! My family has been staying here for I believe 5 years in a row now. The rooms are always very clean and the lawn work is always on point. Service is also very very nice and is always willing to help! Thank you!

Gorgeous location, nice staff, food for the event was pretty good as well. They don't allow other drinks at the place of the event for some reason and they took away my bottle of water. Which seemed bizarre given its only a bottle of water.

Large rooms with great views. Kitchens and rooms well outfitted. Multiple bathrooms make mornings convienient.

The "rooms" are like little apartments as opposed to traditional hotel rooms. Plenty of space for parking and the grounds are well maintained and presentable.

Went to a pool party there and the facilities are good. The pool was generally good but very chemically smelling.

Loved it. Great for when you're traveling with your family. Especially kid friendly. No room service and food options are bland at the local restaurants. There's a supermarket in walking distance and the suites have full kitchens and pots and pans so you could cook. Also, the view is amazing!

We rented a two bed, but when we got there we found out it was more like a two bed apartment! Definitely worth the extra in price even during the off season. The room was very clean. They provide a fully stocked kitchen, which is always nice when trying to save a little while traveling.

We love this place. Nice people work her and the place is great. 3rd time for us and always clean. Rooms, pool, hot tub and all buildings.

The rooms were mostly empty because I was there in the off season. The style of the room and overall setup was very nice. My only gripe was quality. There were issues that I would expect out of a motel things like doors not latching because the wood doesn't line up. Or poor paint jobs. There was a 1x3' patch right above the master bed that was missed when it was painted. So overall good enough for me to return but not perfect.

We stayed in 10C from 2/7-2/9. The master had enough room for our daughter's pack n play. It was so nice to have much more than the standard hotel without worrying about staying at someone's personal residence. We have already re-booked our stay for August!

It is a friendly quiet and quaint place to stay although its a hotel all apartment hotels are independently owned. Well maintained.

The location is great, you can even see the ocean from your room, of course it's about a mile away but still, it's the ocean. It is also located right near the strip so you can easily get all your commodities that you may need for a good vacation. The rooms are clean and have a nice home away from home feeling, even with a fake fireplace it's a nice touch. The room service is friendly and helps stock. The pool is a good size and is heated very nicely. There is also a hot tub that is wonderful to unwind in. There is a game room and a gym as well. Overall I recommend this place for any big family that wants to have that at home feel while being in a great location in Wells, Maine.

We return almost annually, the place is very nice. The sea is very zen and relaxing. Close to Kennebunk, Ogunquit, Perkins Cove, with the lovely stamp of the small coastal villages. It's worth the detour! in summer as in winter! We love this cozy place! Andrée and I have been there quite a few times and have always been very welcomed. It's close to Kennebunk, Ogunquit, Perkins Cove. All charming coastal places. It's worth the trip as much in winter, as during summertime. Got a room for the Christmas Prelude. Great deal on the room. It was immaculate upon arrival, warm and all the amenities we needed. And the free Cogndon's donuts at check in were a great touch. This was the 6th time we've stayed here and have always been happy.

The units are individually owned, so experiences will vary, but it was not a great experience for me, personally. Other family members took the beds, so my options were an uncomfortable cot, a couch that wouldn't fit me, or the floor. The Wi-Fi was slow. I didn't particularly enjoy the view of the marsh, but others seemed to. We went to a wedding reception at their event center. The reception itself was in a lovely space, but the cocktail hour preceding was in a hallway that was far too small for the amount of guests, plus the low ceiling made me feel like a giant; I'm only 6'1".

We stay at village by the sea every Columbus day weekend for a soccer tournament and it is the greatest option! We love it.

Been going to the resort for over 20 years. Started with bringing my future wife, now o bring my whole family. We love it.

It was a wonderful experience, I enjoyed my time spent. Love the fact that my apartment was fully equipped with more than I had imagine, pleasant staff, very friendly, and helpful front desk staff. My kids and will be definitely visit again when next we travel.

The rooms were very big and comfortable. They had all the amenities and utensils for cooking. Each condominium had a washer and dryer. The rooms had air conditioner. I didnt like the fact that you had to call for garbage removal and fresh towels and linens. The gym was quite small and remember your bug spray. I did enjoy my stay as the staff were very friendly.

Stopped to view their facilities for our wedding in 2016. A nice facility with a lot of options like rooms for your party. The place hadn't been updated much. Still a very dated carpet in the banquet hall, but they had a simply adorable outdoor entertainment area.

Always a pleasure! Front desk, friendly and accommodating. If ever a need for anything whether it's a minor repair or extra towels, help is there! The units we stayed in were recently renovated. Fresh and pretty. Beds not the most comfotable, but otherwise. … always a pleasure!

The condo is beautiful and quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Has shared grilling which I use every year and washer and dryer in the room so you can wash your laundry before you head home. Just unpack and relax. Close to beach and still can wake up to ocean smell. Love this place.

Went here for a birthday party. The grounds were clean and well kept and the pool and game room were nice.

This place is a piece if heaven! I was doing a job in Maine for my company for a week and they booked a 5 day satay at Village by the sea and believe me! I was there for work but felt it was my vacation week… I am so satisfied after staying at this place. Huge bedrooms, nice kitchen and everything is awesome… thanks to all the staff at village by the sea. If I comeback to Maine; village by the sea is the place I will stay again… thank you all for viewing this review. I highly recommend this place to you… God Bless!

I was checking out the wedding venue. Its beautiful but not for the price! Hah no thanks! They are crazy and their prices online are misleading!

The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The view is amazing. Large and spacious suites. Access to plenty of amenities. We will definitely be returning!

This is a great vacation spot. It's centrally located in Wells, has good amenities like a pool and fitness room, room service every other day, and it's only a few minute drive to the beach and all the great restaurants.

Great place to stay nice spacious rooms great indoor and outdoor pool all around great stay.

Clean, roomy, modern and cozy condos with excellent views at a great price! My kids loved the indoor pool during the rainy days we weren't able to get to the beach. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend checking out!

A clean and large space at a decent price located very close to the ocean and nearby kennebunk.

At Village By The Sea we were but in the Basement level… and it was actually really good. The decor was modern and we only had a one bedroom and it was Huge. Lots if storage for cloths and bags ect. Also we do A lot of cooking and we made meals just like we do at home just they don't supply you will many tools and pots. It was very clean and the Wi-Fi was good.

Don't come here if you are of the younger generation or you need internet for any reason. The Wi-Fi is horrible. My phone loads things faster and I am on the slowest data plan for my carrier.

Disgusting smells like moth balls room was from the 80s everything was unmodern and disgusting don't stay it is gross and overpriced stay somewhere else DONT STAY HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Clean and well equipped condo.

Their Service was excellent as of a count of a series of 10 days I stayed there when I moved to maine, Good rooms with good service as maids come in each day for cleanup, I loved the place too cause of the outside of the looks of the place.

We have stayed at Village by the Sea many times. We've never had a bad experience and the rooms and bathrooms are always clean. The front desk staff goes out of their way to accommadate our room requests, when possible. We recommend it to all of our friends and family. I own property in Wells but when we are having a large gathering everyone stays at VBTS, including us. We will be staying again for Christmas by the Sea in December.

We went there for a wedding and thought we would be near the rest of the wedding party. When checking in it seems we were switched with the people in front of us as the two people in front of us were complaining about not liking where their rooms were. We ended up in a basement of sorts away from the wedding party. It was very humid, and even felt like/smelled like we were staying in a basement. The full bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned in a long time, dirty enough for us not to use it. There was dirt on every piece of furniture. I think they need to review their cleaning staff, as I was amazed at the poor quality the room was in. The a/c gave us moist, smelly basement air. When we went into the room the patio door was open, making us feel as if someone had just been in there, which was creepy. The patio furniture was covered with dirt and looked like it would break immediately when sitting on it. The bed was super uncomfortable and I felt dirty even lying in it. Overall a very disappointing stay.
