Reviews of Misty Harbor Resort 3*
Swampy marshy and untreated lawns with mosquitoes that are in swarms outside so we did not use the playground. Smells of sewage but if you stay inside it wouldn't be too bad none of the furniture is comfortable as stated in some Google reviews. They treat you with total disrespect if you are renting a place that is owned privately you get treated like your second nature even though you're helping pay that person's timeshare. There is hardly ever anyone in the office. The pool room is musty. The laundry room is off in an area that kind of feels unsafe for anyone doing laundry who is not a man or strong woman with some skill to fight because I would be afraid to be there at night when most parents are throwing laundry in at the end of the day after being at the beach. The restaurant next door is amazing though.
Try Unit 147 It's Gorgeous inside, and the view of the Marsh is Great from the skylite.

I rented a 2bd 2bath condo during off season. We barely had hot water. Enough for a 2 minute shower. Even though it was supposed to be 3 adults — my son had to stay at a relatives house. I mean who in there right mind can take a cold shower in Maine (when it’s already cold enough November) I booked this well in advance Oct for Thanksgiving weekend yet they put me in a condo with 1970s furnishings, Green early 1980s carpet with a view of the parking lot. I wasBelittled and intimidated by Brittany and another Guy for having a small assistance dog (no idea what his name is or his status at Misty Harbor yet he knew my room number) I did not know there was a difference between service dog or assistance dog. Read the Maine laws on LD1601. This place does not like dogs. (so don’t even think of bringing your service dog or assistance animal. ) The Jacuzzi was Luke warm with plenty of kids in it. Now here is the scandalous part, I was charged $174 dollars for a cleaning fee. I left the unit immaculate and left early. I could not wait to get out of this place. No maid service just one exchange for clean towels. I have yet to receive a receipt for the extra charges. No coffee or Tea (like you would get at a hotel. ). A truly awful experience. Hospitality not at this place. Plenty of other places to stay in Maine especially off season. I agree with the previous review total disregard and disrespect.
