I can't say enough about how wonderful Barry and Deb are. They helped my husband and me have a wonderful wedding even with COVID. I could not have asked for a better weekend from Friday to Sunday given the circumstances. They made sure we were all safe but able to have fun. They took care of anything needed for us or my guests. If you want a beautiful place and wonderful people to work with, have your wedding here or spend some time here enjoying the inn!

We spent a week at Alamoosook Lakeside Inn and we loved every moment of it. It’s a beautiful, peaceful and clean place to stay. Owners, Debbie and Barry are very hospitable and ensured our stay was pleasurable. Debbie cooked delicious hot breakfast everyday and checked up on us to make sure everything was ok. Our dogs enjoyed the lake. Every morning we enjoyed our morning coffee and a beautiful lake view. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful place!

Such a peaceful, relaxing place for a getaway! We spent the weekend, and had such a great time. The owners Deb and Barry are so kind and accommodating.

My husband and I had a great stay and the owners/innkeepers were super sweet and thoughtful. The room was clean and cozy. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was tasty. But, hands down, the most impressive part of our stay was eating breakfast while looking at an amazing view! The lakeside view is truly a treasure, one which I will never forget. Thank you both so much for making our experience so special.

The staff was excellent. The owner's are right there on sight. The view was breathtaking. Great venue if 100 or less people.

I really can't speak highly enough of Deb, Barry, and their lovely inn. My husband and I wanted a Maine camp style wedding, with a casual "cookout" feel to it. They told us that they had never done a wedding with their cookout menu before, but their attitude from the beginning was "Let's make it happen! " They were extremely flexible and did their absolute best to accommodate all of our requests and give us the day we wanted. The location of the inn is absolutely stunning and perfect for a wedding ceremony. We also booked all six guest rooms for Friday and Saturday night and the rooms were cozy and spotlessly clean. Kayaks, canoes, yard games, and a fire pit were also available for our use throughout the weekend, which was a big hit. The food was great and they were extremely dog-friendly, which was a huge selling point for us! We had several out-of-town guests tell us they want to go back just for a weekend getaway. Overall, we had a magical wedding weekend thanks to Deb and Barry. I HIGHLY recommend this venue and it's owners.

Nice small lodge on a very scenic setting. The grounds are picturesque with the woods surrounding the lodge and the lake in the back ground. The rooms are a little out dated but it also feels like an oldish Maine resort. They have a fairly new dining hall which is nice but doesn't fit with the history and location. Seemed a little odd. But overall a pleasant place. Very clean overall and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

I attended a wedding at th Alamoosook Lakeside Inn. The property is beautiful and has a lot to offer. The interior could use some remodeling or updating but is charming and fits the need.

It's a cute inn in a beautiful setting. I had a comfortable night of sleep, a tasty breakfast, and a morning canoe ride in a lake where I got to spot an Eagle. Also, my nieces enjoyed the downstairs game room. With being only an hour away from Acadia, the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is a great value at $165 a night for a weekday in the summer.

We had such a wonderful stay! We extended a night. Went on along the coast for our next night, then called and begged to come back!
Luckily “our room” was available! Of our 9 nights of vacation, 3 were spent in this beautiful place! Had we not needed to get back to Boston for our flight back to Seattle, we would have tried for another!

This lakefront inn is amazing! The new owners, Debbie and Barry, are incredible hosts and their staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable — the public areas were set up as small sitting areas, wonderful to just relax and enjoy the view. Our breakfast was delicious both mornings. A buffet area was set for early morning risers followed by a hot breakfast. There are several places on the large grounds to sit, look across the lake and listen to the loons and eagles. They have kayaks, canoes and a swimming dock! We liked it so well, our one night stay quickly became two (and we seriously considered staying a third).

Gina is absolutely remarkable in everything that she does. The food was phenomenal, and the view was breathtaking. We had not a single bad moment in Maine!

Attended a wedding at the Alamoosook. Quiet, lovely spot on the lake. Staff were professional and friendly, food and drink were stellar.

Nice place to visit. The rooms are small and have no televisions in them. The breakfast is good and having the lake right there makes for a nice getaway. They do have Wi-Fi, so if you want to stay connected bring your devices.

AMAZING staff! Great place to go with family and get away from the crazy hustle and bustle of life. Kayak and paddle boat available to explore the lake. Rooms are nice and cozy. Free Wi-Fi. Recreational room in the basement for entertainment. Loved it here!

The Ellsworth Garden Club recently held our Annual General Meeting and Luncheon at Alamoosook. Host Gina Bushong was wonderful. The staff prepared a fine meal and at a reasonable price. We look forward to using the facilities again next year.

We just had the most beautiful wedding at Alamoosook! It's was everything we could have hoped for and more! Gina and staff were wonderful and very accommodating though out the planning process from beginning to end. We had a peaceful ceremony on the lake and a beautiful reception inside! Deserves well over 5 stars! I would highly recommend the Alamoosook lakeside Inn! Thank you so much again for making our dream wedding a reality!

My husband I stayed at the Inn only one night but were impressed with the lovely rooms and the quiet. The lake was beautiful and we wished we had more time to explore. We had an appointment at a very early hour and Gina made sure we got our breakfast out with enough time to eat and head out the door. I have already told several people about this inn. I would rather stay at this sort of place to keep business local as opposed to a chain hotel.

My husband and I accompanied my parents on a retirement trip to the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn this past weekend. We had a WONDERFUL time with Gina and her staff. She greeted us upon our arrival and explained to us what the inn had to offer. All of the rooms were located down a closed in corridor that had access to big widows overlooking the Alamoosook Lake. The lake is a quiet lake — very tranquil for those looking to "get away from it all". There was a game room in the basement that also offered a working wood fireplace and TV with many channels. Kayaks and canoes were available to all guests. We heard loons, saw mallards, osprey and even a bald eagle. A first class hot breakfast was served to us each morning that is included in your stay. The inn is located near many coastal towns for those who love the Maine coast. A great place for family reunions, weddings and wedding receptions. Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is beautiful — a perfect place for a wedding, or just to get away from it all for a couple days. The owner and staff are courteous and professional, and will work with you to make your experience exceptional. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Gina and staff are wonderfully accommodating, and you can't beat the location! A gorgeous place, abundant wildlife sightings, spacious meeting room and a comfortable, rustic atmosphere.

My wife and I are from different countries in Asia. We had done separate small ceremonies for our wedding in each of our countries. But we had not yet had chance to bring both sides of our family together. So we had planned a reception in Maine to accomplish that. We wanted something casual without the bells and whistles of wedding receptions. We came across Alamoosook Inn from the internet search. We visited the place in the dead of the winter. But we could get a sense even then how beautiful a place this is. Tucked in the woods, it opens up to a serene lake (albeit covered completely with snow at the time). As we descended the sloping road that leads to the inn, we felt it gave a jolt of awe, the way it stands amidst the expanse of the lake. We knew right away this was going to be it. Topping the beauty of this facility has been the experience we had with the owner Gina. She was tremendously helpful and patient to navigate the unconventional plans of an international couple who really had no clear idea of what they were trying to accomplish. We had our reception at the end of September. The day was beautiful. We had a lobster bake for lunch and then dinner reception. Things went seamlessly. Everyone was awed by the beauty of the place, food. Both my sides of families and friends were able to interact intimately and the sense we got was that everyone enjoyed the reception very much.

We planned a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party for my parents at Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in August 2015 and we could not be happier with the location and the service we received. We had to plan the party long distance from New Jersey and booked the Inn sight unseen — with only the website pictures to guide us. The pictures and description on the Inn's website were absolutely accurate and we were thrilled. Gina was beyond helpful in assisting us with planning the party and the food. She is a gracious host and her ability to steer us in the right direction and flexibility leading up to the party was much appreciated. We would not hesitate to book another event at Alamoosook Inn. All of our party guests raved about the facility, about the incredible grounds and lake, and about the food! There is absolutely nothing I can say negative about the Inn. Thank you for everything!
