We are currently at Spring Fountain motel in Bucksport Bay at first we were very scared to stay at this place but they were no other rooms available within hundred miles radius they were some reviews which were so horrific, detailed and absolutely Soul crushing that me and my girlfriend almost decided to drive 100 miles and I'm glad that we decided against it and ended up staying because not only will have to drive the waste of time the crazy traffic and the rates were double the amount that we had to pay over here. Primarily we were afraid of bugs for some reason a lot of people said that you will find bugs and we will find mold and it won't be clean and the furniture will be of diff color and design as if picked up from a garage small but fortunately for us not a single claim was true, not at least in our room. We were given room 40 by this gentleman named Danny. It was an absolute joy to talk to him, he somehow moved all the reservations back and forth to make one for us. They were fully booked otherwise and then he literally went with us to the room and got on his knees and elbows to check every corner, just to make sure there were no bugs and everything else in the room was in crisp condition. Only because my gf has the biggest fear of cockroaches and that young man made sure that he my gf was satisfied to the core that there were not any. Actually contrary to popular belief the cleanliness of the room was which stood out and a v fresh clean smell to go along with that.

I hate to talk bad about the small scale mom and pop non chain establishments, but this place was gross. Maybe I just got a bad room cause I was there with my dog and they gave me their pet friendly room but my dog didnt even want to stay there. As people were checking in and out I had the chance to see inside a few other rooms and they didn't look any better then mine. The A. C. Was from the 1970s and barely worked. The carpet was full of stains and old cigarette burns. Their was half a bar of soap left in bath tub wet so it was a mushy mess. The lamp shades were held together with bread twist ties, the curtains had rips and were stapled and pinned together. There was no alarm clock, no phone, no shampoo, no cups or ice bucket. No vending machines on the premises. The room smelled of mold and mildew, some of the lights didn't work at all. The toilet seat was probably 30yrs old and was completely worn out and all the edges were chipped and cracked. There were two old cars in the parking lot that looked like theyd been there for years judging by the layers of dust and all the tires were flat. In front of each room was a few steps and small deck and many of the boards were loose and badly warped which was very unsafe. If I didn't need the room so badly and had time to find another room I would of left and not stayed. The people at the front desk were nice but come on repaint a room and put down new carpets every 20 years or so. If you read this stay away from this hotel.

My wife and I were traveling through Maine and found this motel as a thunderstorm approached. The young man was helpful in offering us a room. The first one had no Wi-Fi signal and the TV did not work so we were moved to a newly redecorated room with ac, flat screen, mini fridge and microwave. Comfortable rest but we did not know about the breakfast available in the morning.
