Positive: If you're traveling with children, this indoor pool is the perfect size and maintained at the correct temperature to actually enjoy it! Negative: Unlike most Holiday Inns, this hotel does not offer a free hot breakfast. But there is a bar/restaurant on the 1st floor. Negative: ""

Back in January we reserved a room with a king bed as our little one would be sleeping with us. The morning/early afternoon before beck in we called to ask if being on the same floor as our family who were also staying was a possibility to which we were told yes. After checking in around 4pm that afternoon we got to our room and noticed the King we booked was actually two queens! I call down to the front desk and was told “sorry we sold out of king beds”. Ummm what? How does that happen? I keep asking yo speak with someone else that can help me and each is worse than the next. They said don’t worry we’ll charge you for the queen beds…. Yea I don’t think so. They tried saying there was a glitch in the system? I ended up calling corporate and was finally able to get somewhere and was given a case number to show to front desk. That Didn’t get us anywhere. We ended up Booing another hotel closer to our destination for way less! We went downstairs to desk to make sure we and our other family weren’t going to be charged for our stays. They again could not be less helpful and keep jerking us around. Seemed intentional to be honest. I refused to leave til we had in writing that we would be credited the full amount. That we did finally get and I’m thankful for that! It was so upsetting because we never go away and this was the 1st time with my 18 month old. I hope they can educate their staff on simple customer service and run a great hotel someday.

Plates at breakfast were dirty. Wait staff was incredibly “short” and rude. The food trays were literally empty and the staff said they would not replenish them because it was “too late” 20 minutes before closing. Being on the elevators feels like a roller coaster. They shake and make horrifying noises going up AND down. The bed sheets were NOT cleaned. The comforter and the sheets were both stained and had crumbs in them. The parking lot has four entrances and three are blocked off, leaving only one entrance. The walls in the hotel are paper thin, you can hear everything. Overall dirty and unpleasant experience. Will not be returning.

The elevators are like being in final destination. They're old, they're not cleaned, they make sounds that don't make you feel safe. The swimming pool doesn't look like it's been drained and properly cleaned and disinfected; not to mention, you have to walk through the main lobby to get to the pool. There's a pier a few blocks from the hotel; there was a situation that required New London Police with tactical gear to storm the place with guns drawn for people. There's absolutely NOTHING to do in the area… at least not in the winter time.

This is a great place. No hidden fees (aka destination/resort fees. ) Clean. Rooms are comfortable. Nice staff. Close to Long Island Ferry. Easy to find off the highway. Unfortunately I got very little sleep. Music outside my window that I only heard when TV went off. Didn’t stop until maybe midnight? Woke me up again at 4 or 5 AM. Room 216. I told the morning desk clerk, but really can’t advise anyone staying here until someone lets me know that the problem was fixed.

Clean room. Clean lobby. I was there for one night. La Luna food was good, I was there an hour and 15 min all said and done. No continental breakfast just coffee.

Went here to dine at La Luna Ristorante while waiting for the train. Turns out it was ladies night and got a 3 course meal for $27. The food was amazing!

Needs updating. No freebies here — coffee and breakfast? You’re on your own. Bathroom was dark (no light over the shower). Easy to find though; plenty of parking. Staff friendly enough.

Rooms were spacious and clean but the main reason we chose this hotel was for the heated indoor pool. We got to the pool with 4 extremely excited children to find the 'heated' pool was way too cold. We saw many people attempting to get in and just couldn't because it was freezing. We asked the front desk if it would be possible to warm it up a bit and they claimed that they had to keep it at that exact temperature. Bottom line, I don't believe the pool was even heated at all and wouldn't recommend to anyone who is looking to go for a swim at the hotel.

Probably one of the worst Holiday Inns I have ever stayed it. The hotel was acceptable but I think they have a serious humidity control issue inside the hotel. Stayed here for a business trip with four other coworkers and we all agree that the rooms feel damp and smell of mildew. It's all over the hotel as well. The fact that my coworkers noticed the issue as well is not okay. The bathroom floors also felt grimy and slick. One of the coworkers had a broken A/C unit and had to ask several times before it was fixed correctly. Breakfast is not continental and is $11 inside the attached restaurant in the hotel, so we attempted two days to try the breakfast but it was late opening both days. Breakfast was supposed to open at 6:30am and we waited until 6:45am and they were still not open when we had to leave. With all this said, at the end of the day the stay was okay, but we will not be returning and will not send coworkers here when we have to return for business.

They have some nerve charging almost $300 for one night! This is not a luxury hotel. We were part of a wedding group and were offer ZERO discount even though two rooms from the reserved block had dropped out. I was quoted $255 which was high, but OK… then we arrived after the wedding near midnight and given a bill for $293. When they quote they should included the taxes as well. Who's going to look for something else at midnight! That's just completely taking advantage. Our room was nothing special. The ceiling paint was peeling and you could tell there had been a leak. I will never stay in a Holiday Inn again.

Awesome service the clerk tristan (pardon me if I don't spell it correctly) he was great, very attentive and pleasant. So hard to find this days. The room was very neat and spacious. Great hotel, amazing service and affordable. Thank you so much. 4/28/18.

Nice big room. Very clean. We got a deal with free breakfast for two. Great food at LaLuna restaurant. Nice pool.

I am very pleased with the room. The bed is super comfortable and Mark at a front desk gave us a room with lots of floor space so my baby could roll around and play. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up. Come to think of it, Mark answered the phone when I called and he was a delight then too. Thank you Mark!

Pros: The room I was in was clean and comfortable, as was its shower. Most staff is especially friendly. I find going there is a remarkable deal worthy of 5*s. Very close to the highway, yet in the midst of downtown, makes it especially convenient! Cons: If I had to find something to say about this 5* hotel. Pool temperature & pool room's air temperature can be a bit chilly. The water tends to be 82-84 degrees, and the air in the 60s to 70s. So, more ideally I'd like to see it 84-86 and the air 70s-80s. But, it isn't really much different than some hotels I've been to, so relatively it isn't even a con. I wonder if they can get solar for the pool so as to heat it w/o cost beyond the initial investment.

We spent presidents' day weekend here and had a great stay. Rooms, hallways and all common areas were very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Went to a show at Mohegan and stayed here for much cheaper. They have a shuttle starting at 5 that goes to the casino, but we didn't take it! Clean rooms, comfy beds, free toothbrush and toothpaste for anyone who forgets there's. No complaints, would stay again!

The room it’s self is as expected of a holiday in express it’s very neat and very tidy I give the room itself five stars. But, the hospitality staff is absolutely deplorable. I arrived 7 PM at night nobody at the counter I finally had to shout is there anybody here and someone scrambled from the back room. From the back room I heard I’ll be right there. This person then proceeded to spend the rest of his time in the restaurant, with the restaurants down racing through the raceing Through the restaurant if he was needed at the counter. Staff that was on in the morning wasn’t any better. Several people commented to me as I commented to them very unfriendly and gracious the staff were. This is not what is expected of hospitality. Please take the time, to groom your hospitality staff better.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Felt updated and spacious. Parking was easily available (though I believe the hotel was not full). I did not use the amenities since was only 1 night. The on-site restaurant was not very good at least for breakfast (i only went once) ; definitely better off finding a place outside.

I arrived late for my reservation, realized I was late to get food and was given recommendations on local options and given directions. The room was clean and the staff was incredibly accommodating. A plus to this is as a bonus to the stay I recieved a coupon for a free breakfast at the in house restaurant which was cooked fresh for me. I will be returning here next time I am in New London.

Don't stay at this place horrible staff and all the issues we had well let's say they offered 25 dollars SMH.

We went for a Christmas party in the banquet room. It wad good. Clean. Food wad good. Staff was pleasant. Easy to get there off highway. Banquet room had separate door so makes it easy to get in.

Booked a room for a month for a work related trip, mistake. Room was nice. Had a suite with a hard plastic type fabric love seat that hurt to set on. Parking sucks. Hotel has weekend events so having a place to park is iffy at best. Only free thing they have in the morning is coffee, if you want breakfast it will cost you $12 even if you only want a bagel. I was shocked since I am almost sure I was told free contential breakfast. I checked out and found another place to stay with two weeks left to work here. Not recommended for any lengthy stay.

The rooms and public spaces were clean and comfortable, 3.5 star or even 4 star quality. The staff we encountered were extremely nice. Great value.

Only stayed one night but they made it a convenient and comfortable stay. Good view, close to the water and plenty of attractions. The suite was sweet, just make sure to grab extra pillows and blankets at the front desk for the pullout couch.

It was a good experience I had a wonderful sleep And the pool was so big I and I swam so peacefully with nobody in there to disturb me (besides my sister and my dad) The food was delicious and the service was lovely This is one of the hotels I that would first come to mind when I'm in New London CT.

Brian at the front desk knows the town like he grew up here. Guided us to the best restaurants! Amazing stay and would recommend to anyone.

We're staying here for the weekend, a mini honeymoon, until next year. Everyone, who works here is so nice, friendly, and helpful. Especially, Brian, the front desk supervisor. My husband, and I are visiting for the first time. They told us about all the best restaurants, and great things to do, including directions, and addresses. We are definitely going to come back here again!

Quiet, clean rooms and friendly service. The pool area was clean and well kept. Also the restaurant in the lobby served great Italian food as well as room service.

Pros: The hotel is decently maintained and routinely cleaned. This include the rooms and general public areas. Also the La Luna Restaurant located in the lobby is very convenient. *Cons: The hotel seems to have many different booked/catered events, which is good and important for business. However, with limited parking –guest may find themselves parking down the street at times.

Went in to take a wizz… nobody stopped me so that was cool. Ended up pooping too but the toilet paper was one-way. That's pretty lame.

Service was great and the room was very comfortable.

Has everything you need, fridge, comfy bed, full length mirror, good check in time, shuttle to Mohegan, etc.

Reasonable price however the stay experience could have been better.

We were issued a room with dirty linen and pizza boxes. Once I noticed the desk of my findings we were given a clean room. My wife ordered a desert from room service that never came. The Internet was so bad I had to write this review on my phone using my data. But not all bad. The room came with two free bottles of water and an option to order a $14 movie.

Location was great, staff was very friendly, and everything was very clean and presentable.

They cancelled the return shuttle from Mohegan Sun due to snow (less than 2 inches. ), on Valentine's day, without calling. The Front Office Manager, Michael Casey, was not apologetic, claimed they tried to call people (I had no voicemail. ), and didn't seem to care that we were upset.

I spent the night there New Years Eve, in order to go to Mohegan Sun Casino. Mohegan Sun was great, but the stay at the New London Holiday Inn was terrible. The staff follow you around, and the building is muggy and moldy. Also they charged an extra 250 smoking fee for the room smelling like smoke. Well of course being at a casino all night, I'm going to smell like smoke. I called to get the charges removed but they stuck by their smoking insurance waiver. I am never going to stay at a Holiday Inn again, and I would never recommend them.

The hotel was nice but the pool wasn't open I had to wait for 3 hours before they open the pool but the stuff was very nice I spoke the manger and he extended my check out time and gave me money off my total bill. I will stay there again.

Charged twice. Had paid through priceline. But also charged us on the credit card they claim to keep as security.

Recently my husband and I stayed at this hotel. When we arrived, we asked the hotel lobby staff how the breakfast worked and was told "just show up" and also asked the bar lady how it worked and was told the same thing. No one told us we had to pay $12.00 per person for crap food! All you get is eggs, bacon, and sausage and maybe french toast. When we told the staff the next morning that it was gross and that my husband got sick, she said "Awwwww you poor little thing" and advised me that I MIGHT get a credit for my stay. Well I just contacted customer service for that credit and I will not leave them alone until I get it.

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Upon check-in the front desk clerk told me that I was charged at the time of booking my room online, which is INCORRECT because I was charged the day of check-in. The pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years with scum coating the bottom. The shuttle service is $10 a person for round trip, CHARGED TO YOUR CREDIT CARD, which they failed to let you know, so we paid the driver and he thought he was getting a nice big tip! Then they tried to charge me after I left for the shuttle and overcharged me! The sleep numbers bed was broken and started going off at 3am-sounding like a vacuum was going off in your ear, and continental breakfast is 12 dollars per person unless you go to the front desk and tell them to give you a voucher. Something that most hotels give you for free without hassle. Never again will I stay at a radisson hotel.
