My experience here was great. The Inn keepers were very accommodating and the premises was clean, the breakfast was great and the shower in my room was wonderful!

Visiting my brother-in-law there and he was very unhappy with service the bed the creaky floors and said his request was not honored and that breakfast was nothing special.

The place is beautifully decorated and clean. However, the inn keeper Pat, was less than a hospitable host. She was rude and barely acknowledged our presence. In addition to serving us a small portion of what she called french toast, but in actuality, appeared to be bread pudding for breakfast. My friend Maria cut into her "french toast" took a piece and found a long strand of hair imbedded in it. It was Pat's response that startled and dismayed us. She claimed that no one in the kitchen had black hair and became defensive. She did not offer a solution to make this right. It is unfortunate that the innkeeper takes criticism from guests, as a way of trying to get a "free stay". We are a culturally diverse group, of highly educated professionals, not in need of a "free stay". We willingly paid the total amount of $307.41 rate that she charged for one night! Using accusatory terms, such as "bribery, plant and dishonorable" to describe paying guests in her establishment displays her disdain and dislike for individuals who perhaps are different both culturally and ethnically. Interpreting and twisting a guest's review rather than using it as a way to improve services for ALL customers, shows a lack of sensitivity, integrity and professionalism. Please note that the documentation of our experience did not merit the barrage of insults hurled at us. Moreover, mentioning guests' profession and place of employment infringes upon privacy and confidentially rights.

I've attended numerous events here, both large and small, indoors and outdoors on the beautiful grounds. The separate studio building is extra cozy and quiet for special occasions. Pat & Wayne keep a gorgeous inn in one of the prettiest parts of town. One of my favorite times to visit is during the Christmas holiday season when everything gets decorated!

Beautiful inn, most incredible bathrooms you'll ever see! The innkeeper Pat, is an amazing.
Artist and her flare is reflected throughout the inn. Quintessential New England town matched by a lovely inn on Main Street. Highly recommend you visit Glastonbury and stay at this beautiful peaceful place.

Small. Outside is pretty and that's it. No parking at all. Park on the street.

The place was amazing! My mother was married here and everything was amazing and beautiful.

I asked what the cheapest wedding package was and was looking for a rough estimate on how much each guest would cost. They simply say, "If you are basing your decision on price alone, then we would not be the venue for you. " This made us extremely upset. In no way will we ever be going there! P. S. They also emailed me back with lame reasons. They will probably comment on this with more than one B. S. Excuses. All I wanted was a simple apology stating they didn't mean to be rude and how much per guest it would have been for our wedding.

Wow! This B&B is GORGEOUS — — the décor left me feeling inspired! My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. Beautifully decorated, delicious food, and warm, welcoming hosts. Great walking areas along the river and town right by the house as well. Highly recommend!

Severe storm warnings prohibits out trip today yet the B&B still charges full price for cancelling… Even after 3 days notice. How small when money is more important than the guests travel safety.

I posted to this page and my post was taken down. I am not sure why? I really enjoyed my stay there in this beautiful house and surroundings and art beautifully crafted by an extremely talented owner. We did not see the owner all week, who we expected to see at breakfast. There was a misunderstanding when we asked for cereal instead of pastries, but we still wanted a cooked breakfast. We came down to a packet of cereal sitting on the table. This place is known for its wonderful breakfast. We were looked after all week by an extremely helpful employee, who provided all our needs. So why was my post taken down?

Our stay with Pat and Wayne was wonderful. The room itself was beyond compare. The artwork was amazing and gave the perfect personal touch. Very unique way to camouflage the air conditioner! The gardens were awesome and unique as well. The home and grounds were absolutely beautiful and we were very comfortable. Hope to stay with you again!

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Connecticut River Valley Inn in early October, and the venue was incredible. The wedding turned out fabulously, and a great deal was due to Pat and Wayne, the Innkeepers. They were incredibly accommodating, and essentially gave us free rein of the property to set it up as we wished. In our initial meeting, Pat sat with us and provided all the info/pricing options for holding the wedding at their inn. Additionally, she had a list of all the vendors she had used in the past, and their contact information. It was extremely helpful to know all the cost up-front, and made the process run very smoothly. We had several discussions about different options, and Pat was very accommodating for our 100-person wedding reception. The day of the event ran extremely smoothly. Pat and Wayne put in a lot of work the day of the event to make sure everything went well. They went above and beyond — even when Mother Nature did not cooperate — by finding a piece of wood and then laying a carpet across it, to prevent our guests from getting wet when traveling between the tent and the patio. The grounds at the Inn are absolutely beautiful, and are a perfect setting for a wedding. The landscaping is stunning, and Pat has added numerous artistic touches to make the Inn a special and inviting place. We would recommend the Inn to friends, or to anyone planning a vacation or needing a place for an event in Connecticut.

This Family that owns this house has a very reputable and great reputation in Glastonbury for Bed and Breakfast. Sad that some people have to write negative reviews. The scenery is gorgeous, walking distance to the center of town, town fountain, starbucks, Bricco Italian restaurant, dunkin donuts, Emmy Lou's specialty store. And much more. Very relaxing and beautiful.

I stayed here the night before my wedding and chose to take my pre-wedding photos in the lovely garden. The breakfast was amazing — especially the homemade scones. My husband and I stayed again when we were in the area for a friend's wedding. I love the unique rooms and steam showers — it's a one-of-a-kind experience.

This was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and I absolutely loved it! The rooms were beautiful (and clean) and the property/grounds were well kept. The owners were pleasant, friendly, and the food was delicious. I noticed one of the reviewers mentioned housekeeping as an issue. This wasn't a problem for me. When I stay at a hotel for 2-3 days, I often forgo housekeeping as long as there are plenty of towels avaialable b/c I don't need my sheets changed daily (I don't do that at home). The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of towels available. Finally, I must confess. I am a dog liker, NOT a dog lover. However, I loved the owner's dogs. Immediately, upon entry the owners asked if we were comfortable with dogs and offered to put them away if we were. Since I am a dog liker, I didn't have a problem with the dogs being around. I found the dogs to be really sweet, clean (no pet smell orders), and to be really quiet. The next time I am in the area I will definitely return. This was well worth the money and I'd recommend this inn to anyone, especially a first timer to bed and breakfast inns.

My now husband and I chose this inn, after much research, several months before our wedding. Unfortunately we were ignored due to the inn hosting a wedding and catering all weekend to those wedding guests. Our first morning, the innkeeper actually said "I hope you don't feel overlooked. " No extras. No refreshments. Several dogs roaming freely. No HOUSEKEEPING! (yikes, we have photos. ) Not kidding here. The only time they actually came into our room was to retrieve pillows from OUR BED for the other guests! Almost a thousand dollars. Wasted. Lesson learned. ***Note to readers: Our review is a reflection of what we experienced as far as their service during our stay. Nothing more. Nothing personal. The operators of this inn have made it a point to comment on our reviews on other sites. This is expected. This is how reviews work to help people be informed and make educated choices. They've, however, made it a point to make defamatory statements as a reaction to a fair, if unfortunately negative review. Their reaction speaks VOLUMES about their character. These things happen. Live and learn. :) Beautiful home. Fantastic food. Great reviews. Buyer beware.

Don't go by the Google Maps street view — this property is much nicer than the Google Map Street view would lead you to believe. It's located slightly outside the center of Glastonbury but still within walking distance to Starbucks, Whole Foods, Pizza, many other restaurants and the Glastonbury Center fountain. Although I've never stayed (because we live about a mile away) — I walk by here almost every night. The landscaping is just great and the grounds are very well kept up.
