On a night when the other motels were charging 125-174 for one person I stumbled in and gladly paid 79.00 Was pleasntly surprised. Old school type motel which are hard to find in this kind of shape with such a courteous and helpful staff! The 5 star rating is based on what else is available in the small rural prairie town. I will always come here first from no on as I have tried a place in town previously. This has what you need, is clean and run by nice people.

Don't be afraid of the "M" word… Motel! This motel is clean and well maintained. The owners take pride in their business and I will definitely consider staying again. The grounds are very well kept and parking is about as convenient as could be! I recommend! Consider my rating a 4 1/2 star.

Stayed here overnight with no reservations. Staff was wonderful, rooms excellent, breakfast fantastic. Next time we go across Nebraska this is THE place to stay.

Low key, quiet, basic amenities, clean. Very basic breakfast, waffles, nukable eggs, toast. I'd come back here to stay.

Stayed here last August and thought it was very nice. Clean rooms and all the amenities one needs for a good nights rest. I would have no problem staying here again.

The room was good in size, the bed was great and best of all for me, the shower had lots of hot water and a good shower head. The breakfast was simple but good. All was clean and they just added high-speed internet. It's a bargain!

Nice clean established motel, comfortable and kept up well. The usual free breakfast with good coffee. We've been here a few times — great rates.

Always a pleasure to stay at Trade Winds, great owners, very nice and clean rooms at reasonable rates. When passing through Valentine several times a year over the last 14 years, I've stayed here every time.

They have rooms with beds! We have people and were all able to stay in one room. The beds are very comfortable, the shower good and hot. The room was clean, the wait staff friendly and accommodating. Pillows could use some updating and there are no laundry facilities. Over all a very nice, reasonably priced motel. I would like to add that pets stay for only 10.00 per night extra. We didn't bring ours, but it was a nice feature.

We have stayed at the Trade Winds for 8 years. Joan and John have always provided a clean and cozy room and made us feel comfortable. If traveling to or through Valentine, I would highly recommend staying at the Trade Winds.

The Tradewinds Motel was a pretty gross motel. The staff were cranky and unfriendly, and the room smelled when we first got there, but, the Wi-Fi worked okay. I would recommend finding a different motel, but if this is the last one, then you will survive.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would! My Husband and I stayed there last night. The Room was excellent, spotless and super super clean. If you ever pass through this part of Nebraska and need a room this is the place! The Big chain Hotels and Motels can not compare. The beds are magical lol put us right to sleep. I highly highly highly recommend this place!

Stayed on the way to a golf outing, it is clean and a nice motel. Breakfast was provided in the morning.

We called and reached near their closing time, smooth check in/out, spacious room equipped with 2 queen bed, microvawe, coffee maker, fridge, flat screen TV, working table and in addition (inside the room) they​ even have round dining table for two. Clean bathroom with standard toiletries plus hair dryer is an exception for a motel, furthermore they also provide basic breakfast and sufficient Wi-Fi. Overall, good place for overnight staying however a bit pricey for a budget traveler like us as we paid $80+ (same nightly rates we paid ​for motel at touristic place in West Yellowstone).

Stayed here for a week for business reasons and it was great! The maids keep the place very clean and tidy, And service is amazing.

Very, very clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. Excellent place to get a great night's sleep while we were passing through Valentine. Love the parking right in front of your room door and no stairs to climb or elevators to wait on. If you want quiet comfort in a clean room at a great price, stay here!

The rooms are nice and the beds are clean. It is a nice and affordable place to stay the night.

The room is nice, clean (boy do I ever appreciate that after staying in many motels) and spacious. The front desk personnel could not be nicer and welcoming. Internet is excellent, the grounds are very dog-friendly and this is the exact type of place that we look forward to.

Locally owned. Well maintained. Very clean. As a hunter and fisherman they have a cleaning station set up for the guest to use. They also provide freezer storage for guest to keep their game in. It has plenty of parking for trailers too. Overall a great motel to stay at.
