I recently made a reservation to stay at this hotel. Upon arrival I was told there was no room available. Even though I had a reservation and they could see it was booked. There were no other rooms in town available that night for less than 1000.00 dollars!
Since then I've been told that there is basically nothing they can do because it was booked through a vendor. I had to file a fraud claim through my bank to try and get my money back.
Be Warned.

Thursday evening checking in front desk staff was more interested in Football game than manning front desk. No hot coffee, no cold water in the lobby. The room itself was clean and large only bright point in are stay. Plumbing noisy can hear everyone above, below, next door, poor installation. Breakfast another high point in are stay, breakfast staff were professional and helpful, food was delicious. Checking out well the front desk ar least had her uniform on, can't say the same when checking in. Helpful and informative and pleasant were all missing when leaving. Poorly representing La Quinta Inn's, the city of Helena, and the state of Montana.

They tried to pass this off as clean. What am I? An idiot? No. No. No. And NEVER again will I stay here in Helena.

Super cool and friendly staff. Clean room but dated. Very noisy next to freeway. Nothing within short walking distance to do or eat.

Very clean rooms and the staff was helpful. They also had a good variety of snacks for sale in the lobby.

We generally had good news from our recent stay. The service was great, the room was clean and the beds were firm but comfortable. The only negatives were the yellow lighting in the room and thin walls. When the shower in the next room was running we had to close our bathroom door to muffle the noise.

Called to make sure I could get a double queen for 3 night stay and let him know I had been driving all night to get here for a relative that I came to see off during their last month in this Earth, so I asked if I there was a way I could check in early. He said he would double check and call me back. He told me that I could check in when I got here and would make sure a room was available. When I got here another agent said I could have a room for only one night and that I couldn't check in till 3p. M. I will never stay with laquinta again, ever!

It may not look like much from out front, but we had a lovely stay in Helena. The guy at the front desk was quite friendly & helpful. He helped us out several times throughout our stay. We were greeted in our rooms with a note from Jacob, that stated he cleaned our room. Although the pool tiny — it was an enjoyable swim for my kids. It has benches in the pool & is slightly heated with jetted tubes. All employees were quite friendly. The guy at the front desk saw I was struggling at the pool gate, he came & helped us into the pool area. Their complimentary breakfast had soft biscuits, & these amazing, tasty, seasoned potatoes + delicious fruit, eggs & sausage patties or links. My only complaint about the hotel is the fire pit was not working. This is due to the inspector who hasn't completed his job & inspected it to run… boo on him. Otherwise great stay.

Very comfortable beds! Definitely updated from our last stay. Pet rooms are very clean. Refrigerator and microwave. Pleasant stay and breakfast included.

Good for dogs, only place that didn't charge extra, basic breakfast that included sausage and biscuits, potatoes, and waffles, scrambled eggs, and a few other items.

The La Quinta Inn in Helena Mr was a very enjoyable experience. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the room, breakfast, or the personnel.

The bedroom smelled weird. But other than that staff was nice. And the place was decent.

The staff was friendly and the room was fairly clean. The breakfast was complete and good.

Great room rates. Outstanding TV channel line up. The bed and pillows were soft, not firm. The negative: tough location to pull in and out of. You have two choices when pulling out of the parking lot, a 20mph neighborhood or a 3-lane road heading the wrong direction.

Nice place. Considering that it is right next to the interstate, it is really quiet. Nice staff and clean rooms.

Great breakfast. Good lobby coffee. Security not as good as it could be. Back door unlocked on first floor. Door prop open for rooms.

They were able to take our party of five after another place we had prior to booked cancelled dues to booking issues. So very greatful, the rooms were very clean and exactly what we needed. The staff however did seem rather forgetful or lazy as we asked 3 — 4 times about a roll away extra bed to which each time they replied "oh yeah, forgot to take a look. Not sure but we will check for you and let you know. " They never did and we ended up finding it on our own.

Great hotel nice breakfast good service would recomend.

Not the best breakfast was really greasy although the beads were really comfy and had a great time watching the olympics!

Good place to spend a night. Bed was quite comfortable. Would go back. Good value.

A reasonable business hotel with a nice breakfast selection. I was a bit disappointed there weren't any evening cookies here but there you go.

Clean and dog friend. Close to road so road noise is heard. They billed us twice, so we called and they stated they would credit us back. TBD if they have.

Pool heater for the outdoor pool broke on day 1 of 4. Couldn't get anyone to fix it until the day we left. Probably better hotels to stay at in the Helena area. Breakfast was decent. Also, located next to a substation so if your room is in the left side of the hallway that's what most of your "scenic view" will include!

The room was not the cleanest. The staff was pushy for us to leave setting their cleaning carts right outside our room door at 10 a. M and check out wasn't until noon. The breakfast was amazing.

The rooms are comfortable, staff goes out of thier way to make my stay great. The breakfast is awesome. This place is managed well. The reasion I say that is thier is a positive vibe from all employees. The rates are reasonable for such a well maintained motel with so many extras. Training room, heated outdoor pool, laundry facilities, kitchen area and nice room as you enter the motel to chill, read or watch big screen. My favorite place in Helena!

We took a road trip this summer and stayed here. Not a bad price since we got AARP rate. Free breakfast was average. Service was average. Room was average. We were put on the third floor and elevator was slow so packed our bags up and down the stairs. Due to the confluence of streets the hotel is not easy to get to. You have a circle around depending on where you are coming from.

Dirty dirty dirty. Ive posted pictures of the dirty showers with previous guest shampoo, the toilets with feces from previous guest and mold mildew streaks. I have posted pictures of all it. We actually stayed two nights. We rented 2 rooms one night had such a bad experience. In my sons room the the previous guests dog food was still on the floor and the shower was dirty. My room was outdated, in disrepair, the remote and thermostat didn't work and the wash cloth from the previous guest was still wadded up in the shower. We complained to the front desk lady. She was wonderful, offered to get the GM. The GM was to busy to speak with us, but had her offer us a free room on our way back through. A few days later on our way back through took we the offer for the free room plus rented one more. Now you would thingbthe GM would have checked those rooms, but no one did. My sons room was better just a dirty shower. My room was worse. There was feces on the toilet from previous guest, dried puddles of soap from previous guest on the bath tub, mold and mildew growing in the toilet. Floors were not vacuumed as we found dirt and rocks on the floor. We complained to the front desk lady had she come and looked so she could see it wasn't us, we were in the room only long enough for a walkthrough before we went and got her. She didn't offer to switch us rooms, but I believe they may have been full. Next morning I spoke with her again and asked to speak to the GM.

The staff was extremely nice and our room was clean. We didn't have any problems during our stay.

I just stayed there for a night. I was very impressed with the room considering how cheap it was. The breakfast wasn't that great, but I would stay again if in Helena on business again.

Staff was excellent rooms clean we stayed because of trip to VA hospital they helped our family and even went above and beyond in my opinion to make sure we had everything we needed.

I had a three day stay at this hotel. While the accommodations are what you'd expect for the price, I had a terrible experience. I was recovering from a recent head injury and needed a quiet space to myself to rest and rehabilitate. About a week after I checked out, I was charged the $400 odd dollars for the room, with an additional $150 damages charge. When I called the hotel to tell them of the mistake, the general manager told me that upon inspection of the room they found two "hand-sized holes on either side of the mirror". Being a 170-lb female recovering from a head injury on a very small budget, there was no way I could have caused this damage. I asked him to send me the photos he claimed he had taken of the damages… but I never received them DESPITE him supposedly sitting at his computer with a pen and paper taking down my email. I've submitted a fraud report to my bank so that the situation can be looked into further. I would suggest that the general manager look into his employees before blaming me for punching holes in the wall.

What a nightmare, I made reservations and arrived, was given a room across from the ice machine and kitchen. But that's just the beginning… plumbing is SUPER LOUD And there was a lot of construction going on as well. None of this was disclosed while making the reservation. Apparently you can hear all the plumbing from all the rooms around you all of the time in any room. Would have rather slept in a tent.

Was not aware it was a pet friendly hotel. My husband is allergic to cats so that info would have been helpful but wasn't on site. Also rooms/ windows not well insulated. Heard lots of noise from road all night.

Not the best hotel. Beds were really hard; woke up with aches and pains. The pool was small so the smaller kids made it difficult to enjoy. The breakfast was not the best. My waffle stuck to the iron and the mix was not very tasty. I like to workout when I travel but I found the workout room yucky. It was in their basement with the smelly laundry room. The musty smell did not settle well when the elevator doors opened. After looking around and the smell that continued into the room, I decided to hold off on my workout.

We were there for one night and I was happy with the service and it was clean and the air conditioner worked really good. It was 102 degrees, so we're comfortable and that made us Happy!

Great! Even though it was at the height of busy season our check-in was quick and easy. The room was affordable, clean and comfortable. The front desk called and did a follow-up once we were settled to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Whenever I am in Helena, Montana for business or other travel through the area this is where I will be staying.

Dirty halls, dirty rooms, unprofessional staff that tell you, you are hallucinating seeing blood splatter, hair, smeared prints on mirrors, crumbs and cheerios all over floor and couch, thick layer of dust on surfaces, because "im just looking for things to be wrong". This was a joke of an experience. The supervisor that was on duty wouldn't even go to the room or look at my pictures to see what I was talking about, because "three of his best housekeepers cleaned that room & he stands by his employees", yet wanted to charge me anyways because it was past 6pm. Ended up getting my money back and stayed in a clean room elsewhere. That part of my 10yr anniversary was ruined, thanks for that memory La Quinta! Never again!

We have stayed at the LQ in Helena a few times before. Our room was perfect. Really liked it. This was a non planned stay. Arrived very late and was given very good service. Next morning went to the breakfast. I looked and smelled so very good. My only problem was, I could only drink juice. I was in Helena for a medical emergency. I could only drink juice. My wife enjoyed all the breakfast goodies. Thanks to the staff for being good at their jobs!

My out of town company stayed at the LA Quinta Inn property in Helena. They loved it. The rooms were clean and spacious. The outside sitting area by the pool was clean comfortable and well maintained. Friendly staff, decent breakfast and plenty of towels in the room. We would choose to stay here again.

Bed was comfy and the breakfast was ok need more selections.

Stayed at a few other LA Quinta Properties but this is by far the best! From welcome to departure it was a pleasant experience. The hotel smelled and looked clean. Linens, pillows, towels bath etc were in pristine condition. Very well maintained property. My only issue which wasn't a big deal was the breakfast… coffee could be stronger and the fruits fresher! Overall an excellent hotel!

Comfy beds and nice shower. Had quite a few issues, dead bugs, clogged toilet ect. Manager refunded 1/2 of the cost.

Front desk was very helpful and polite. The Internet was absolutely crap. We have stayed at this place before and it was the same thing very poor internet connections. The room was alright but a little noisy a dog barking next door. Will have to think twice about staying here again.

It is well decorated. Freshly remodeled. New pool thats a wee small. Outdoor fire pit. BBQ pool side. Ample parking for trailers. Nice grass area with a picnic table. Does seem like the housekeeping could do a bit better, but not as bad as the pervious reviewer's experience. Just little things, that could make a difference. The staff seemed friendly enough. The overall first impression driving up is not amazing. But overall our stay was fine.

Wonderful stay! I was hoping for an indoor pool and a bigger bath tub; being pregnant and all. We pulled the curtains down, not a great view. We stayed in the King Suite with Kitchenette. I will stay here again! The hotel breakfast waffles really made my morning.

This Hotel has crappy service from the manager on down, I had something stolen from my room and was told that I must be lying. The beds in my room have not been changed for over one week, cleaning staff does not clean the bathroom or vacum. Stair cases are filthy and garbage is usually over flowing by the end of the weekend. The only people that are helpful the front staff at the desk. The General Manager has a bad attitude towards guests staying long term.
