There was a few ants in the bathroom but overall very nice hotel. Wish the pool would have been open longer cause we didn’t get back in time to get in.

Always clean and friendly place. Kids love the inside pool. It’s a small get away that they enjoy.

Stopped in Poplar Bluff around 11am after being up ALL NIGHT And wanted to get a room so we could crash and we were told flat out they won’t check anyone in before 3pm that’s crazy! I’ve never been to a hotel that wouldn’t check people in when they walk in, yes when you reserve a room they tell you check inn is a certain time but people travel at all times of the day and night and I’ve never had a hotel not accommodate plus this was not a reservation but a walk in most in hospitable hotel I’ve ever been to!

It haa a nice romantic atmosphere. Very comfortable bed. I've had spinal cord injuries and I woke up refreshed. Staff is wonderful. The cleanliness os a 10 out of 10. I love this place. Did I add it has a Keurig? Bring you K cups!

This place seems as nice as when we stayed 5 years ago.

Very nice hotel, indoor pool, great rooms, big rooms, clean, bed was sooo big and comfy.

Staff very courteous and the hotel is very clean. Enjoyed our week stay to be family and friends for a wedding. Would definitely stay here again.

Good times with extended family in our home town. The Holiday Inn is where we stayed and the grandkids loved the indoor pool and the adults enjoyed getting together in a small meeting room to visit.

Checked in Fri. And was greeted by a man sitting outside across from the front entrance crowing at me like a rooster. Checked out Sunday and the reception carpet hadn't been vacuumed since my arrival. Am a Spire level IHG member and have stayed at quite a few Holiday Inns, this was the least friendly I've encountered. Probably will stay at a different hotel if I were to return to Poplar Bluff.

Room was clean and comfortable. The staff, however, gives incorrect information. Do not trust the morning front desk crew. We were given the option of tickets for a free breakfast or drink tickets; we took breakfast. At 9 am, we called the front desk to find out when breakfast ends… Noon, we were told. At 10:48 am we called again to find out where breakfast was served. At that point we were told breakfast ends at 11am. We ran to the restaurant (I had wet hair from the shower). The restaurant staff were very upset… Gave us limited choices without drinks and said we had to take the food to-go. This was was just after we passed a sign that said "Now open for lunch! " While waiting for the food, the waitress started locking doors. My husband asked if they were going to stay open for lunch. The waitress said "Not on Saturday. " What the heck? So, that was crazy. One other issue… They do not vacuum the elevators, stairs, or corridors. There was so much debris in the carpet!

Spent time in the lobby with family. Nice atmosphere. Good couches. Decent little selection of snacks.

Holidays Inn's attached restaurant, Costello's is a very good place to get food and drinks if your in the mood for something other than fast food. Has very good Italian food that also features St Louis's signature cheese provel! Poplar Bluff is the southern most place that you can get it to my knowledge. Very nice and fun staff, and always clean. Definitely worth a try if your visiting or just haven't been yet. You won't regret it!

Spent one night traveling through Poplar Bluff. Chose this hotel because of microwave in room. Very clean room which is a deal breaker for me. Friendly staff at desk and onsite restaurant where you get free breakfast if rewards member. Used fitness room which was well equipped and also clean. Great experience here and highly recommend. Reasonably priced too.

Ok we live in town but when we get tired of home. We actually go stay at Holiday Inn! The rooms are nice and yes the beds are fresh! The kids and us love the pool and hot tub! It is clean! They also have work out equipment. The resturant is called Castellos and it has amazing food in fact we eat there whether we stay or not! Must try the Bourbon Shrimp and Tiramisu Yum! By far best places to stay in The Bluff and yes complimentary breakfast!

Excellent stay! Newly renovated, resturant and lounge on site. Keurig machines in room. Great staff, nice clean pool and gym area. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling through Poplar Bluff. Look forward to our next stop through. Thank you.

Really awkward place to get into but has a restaurant attached. Wifi was good and places around delivered. Overall would go back to now I know how to get into the parking lot.

I was attending a business meeting here. The meeting room was clean and comfortable. Since it was a private event, we didnt have much contact with the staff but the evening went as well as could be expected so they weren't even needed.

Breakfast was horrible. Ants and other bugs in the lobby and rooms. When mentioned to front desk they seemed completely unaware to the problem. Will never be back.

So clean and nice. The staff was so friendly and it's located close to plenty of restaurants and conveniences. The typical holiday inn experience!

Stayed here last night on a night stop driving from Houston Tx to Chicago IL. The room was very clean, nice beds, hot shower, kurig coffee maker in room with "3" cups to make. (a rare thing). Restaurant and bar attached! Great food and cold beer. I would recommend this to anyone going there to stay here. Those roads on 67 thru the hills cannot be missed.

Stopped here for an overnight stay during a trip back from Illinois to Texas. I called the day before to book a room and the rate was pretty good. The hotel was clean, as were the rooms. All the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience.

This is the best place to stay in the bluff. I was here for 2 nights and the bed was so comfortable there was a great place to eat right in the lobby too and it's located right in the middle of town near all the best shopping and places to eat. I stay here every time in town.

Reasonable prices. Super comfortable beds. Great water pressure in the bathroom. Loved the Decor. I will definitely be staying again. Great service and super friendly.

The room was quiet and clean and the in-house restaurant food was wonderful. However, the waiter should have warned me the wine I ordered was $47 a glass — I thought it was a house wine. Beware buyer.

This is by far the nicest Holidai Inn Express I have ever stayed in. The staff members were all very nice and friendly. There is a bar and great restaurant inside so no need to go out after you arrive. We are staying at the same one on the return trip.

Rooms are always nice when I stay here and the pool is nice as well! Only complaint is there is no free breakfast just the expensive castello's.

The hotel is in a good location. The breakfast is pretty standard. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly.

Room was nice but no "comfy chair to relax in at the end of the day. Fridge was super cold. Always love the Holiday inn selection of pillows.

The hotel and staff are top notch at this property. The rooms are clean and spacious. I would highly recommend this to all traveling through.

The hotel and rooms are up to date but the walls are a bit thin. I could hear my neighbor's TV before bedtime but had a restful night sleep otherwise. Breakfast and other amenities are pretty standard.

Very nice hotel! Stay is nice and rates are reasonable. The signs for hours for the restaurant and breakfast etc are all inaccurate so you have to ask it changes every time I stay there. They dont tell you the perks of your rewards membership I stumbled across some when it was too late.

I have to give the front desk team a standing ovation. My car tire blew out on the highway near poplar bluff and it was towed to near the hotel. Needing a shower and some place to spend the time, I asked if I would be able to pay a reduced rate to use the shower and clean myself up. The front desk team, whose name I've unfortunately forgot, happily obliged. I was back on the road an hour later so much more relaxed and refreshed than someone would normally be after a minor accident. I'm definitely staying at the hotel next time I'm passing through that neck of the woods.

The hotel was fine, but breakfast in the restaurant was a joke. We were not approached by a waitress the entire time we were there. Luckily there was a buffet so we could serve our own food, but I had to search out silverware and ended up helping myself to the drink station. I literally had to go to the kitchen and ask one of the cooks for a cup of coffee. The cook was very nice and followed me out to my table with a bowl of creamers while I carried coffees for my group, but she should not have had to do that. If the restaurant isn't going to have waitresses on hand, then they should really consider keeping drinks and silverware at the buffet so diners don't have to scavenge for the basic necessities required to eat their meals!

Was great except the breakfast. The waitress never came to our table. We didn't have all day, so we went and got our own drinks from the drink station. I had to go find silverware and get cups of coffee and creamer from the area just outside the kitchen. If we had waited for a waitress to serve us, we'd probably still be waiting there a day later. It was pretty pathetic.

I chose to stay here because I have always been a fan of Holiday Inn and choose to stay with HI for the amenities. However, I must say this has been the worst experience I have ever had. After checking Google to find the Holiday Inn in Poplar Bluff, I noticed the amenities said "hot tub" which is a big deal for me. I like to relax in a hot tub when I am staying in a hotel. So I called and booked 4 nights with them and even asked on the phone if the hot tub was in service and …was assured it is. My first morning I went down stairs to find that there isn't a complimentary breakfast like I am use to but instead, have to order off the menu in the adjoining restaurant. When I asked about breakfast, one as told in a ride way, "We are a full service Holiday Inn, we don't do breakfast. " Which kinda seems backwards if you think about it. Today, I went to find the hot tub and they said, "We don't have a hot tub. " I said, "Online it says you do and was assured it worked when I booked my room. " I was pretty well told, "Too bad. " The dead bolt lock on the door in my room don't work and I said something to the person at the door and was told, "Well, the electronic lock works, right? Then you should be fine. " Seriously, I am done with ALL Holiday Inn. Will not stay here again, and would not recommend it to anyone. — Jer.

I stayed here for work for several weeks. In general it's a clean, well maintained hotel. While IHG rewards members get a free breakfast coupon every morning, the lack of a breakfast bar means you can't just grab a bagel on the way out but have to actually sit in the restaurant and wait for breakfast. Other then that, this is a great hotel.

Stopped by to visit family who were staying. We used the pool. Very nice and clean.

The finest in Poplar Bluff. Very nice place absolutely no complaints. Great beds great TV nice big bathroom with oblong toilets. All you men know what I mean.

It was a good place to stay good restaurant has swimming pool hot tub centrally located to town.

I was there to attend a church service. Everything was great from that standpoint.

This review is about the Italian restaurant "Castellos" connected with the hotel, not the hotel** I WOULD GIVE THIS NO STARS IF I COULD! HORRIBLE PLACE! Drove 30 minutes to eat at a fine dining restaurant. Waitress was horrible, people who came in much LATER than us got their food first. Had many tables complaining about the food, looked like it came out of a dog food can, so disgusting. 10.99 for a can of dog food! Talked to the manager who was a air head running around to each table complaining. Then of ALL things going on, ROACHES YES ROACHES, crawled out from under our seat! We got up immediately and started to leave, the manager asked if we wanted a gift certificate for next time, NO WE WILL NEVER BE BACK DONT EVEN ASK! Will be contacting the health department and the B. B. B!

We have stayed here for nearly 3 years but the last year or so our suites have not been ready on time and several times not for several hours after check in time. This will be the last time we stay here.

Had a nice stay at this hotel, room was clean, comfortable bed and very friendly staff. Wifi worked great, didn't try TV. Would stay here again. I would suggest they mark the location of the vending machines, those were a bit difficult to locate.

Great hotel! HORRIBLE RESTAURANT! We arrived around midnight and found the staff to be very friendly & helpful in accommodating us (we didn't have reservations). They gave us a very nice suite at a discounted rate. The room was perfect for our family of 5. We found the room to be very clean and comfortable. The only bad part about our stay was our decision to eat at the attached restaurant for breakfast. We had free coupons from the front desk. The restaurant was less than half full but it took over half an hour to get our food. When it arrived, it was mediocre and cold. After we finished eating, we waited at least 20 minutes for our check (upcharge for orange juice not included in "free" breakfast). We never did get our check. We just left enough money to cover the orange juice. I highly recommend staying at this hotel as long as you avoid the restaurant. :)

Nice place, the exercise room could use some attention, otherwise nice.

Have to pay for breakfast which is outrageous because of the price you pay to stay there in the first place. Wi-Fi didn't work at all. Smoke detector was dangling from the ceiling. I won't be returning to the Holiday Inn in Poplar Bluff.

A little run down. Furniture is stained and should be replaced. Staff is pleasant and very helpful. I probably wouldn't stay again.

Actually a very nice place. But, how does a hotel allow a f*©ing wedding reception to bang music til 1am (I asked how late it was supposed to last so they planned on it going til then!, plus didn't get to bed until a while after). Seriously, congrats to the couple but, really. A hotel? Straight bullshit.

We go to Poplar Bluff at least 2 times a year to visit family and we have been staying at the Holiday Inn for the last couple. One of the big pluses was always the free Buffet Breakfast. Unfortunately they have since discontinued the free breakfast and the breakfast buffet. We were able to pay an extra $9 per room for the Best-4 breakfast coupons which you can use for a Free Buffet (which as stated prior the do not have) or for a choice of 5 items on the menu for free, or $20 toward your breakfast. We did not end up paying for our breakfast but obviously paid extra for the coupons in the 1st place. Our second issue was that we requested 2 adjoining rooms, with either 2 queen beds or a king and a sofa bed, which we booked directly with the hotel in Poplar Bluff and not through the Holiday Inn 800#, and they told us it was no problem. We have 4 small children and were traveling with my Asthmatic elderly mother who can not walk long distances. They booked us in 2 rooms, at the end of the hall (completely at the last 2 rooms) as far from the hotel as possible, which were not adjoining. When we talked to the people at the desk about it they told us that the only adjoining rooms they had had only 1 king bed and nothing else and of course would not work for us. We then requested rooms close to the elevator which the also claimed they could not do even though the Hotel was no where near full.

We requested a late checkin and called when we were still roaming town looking for our destination. The front desk was helpful with directions and had added the extra pillows that were requested ahead of time. Very clean, good breakfast in attached restaurant. Took two teenagers and they found the pullout sofa bed comfortable.
