I do not and would not EVER recommend a hotel that has employees that treat Veterans, or any individuals for that matter, so shamefully. The man asked for a receipt and you guys called the Cops on him! Claiming he had an attitude. Which if he did, I would not blame him at all. That's not what I saw or heard though. I heard a man ask why he was being removed — for further clarification — and ask for a receipt and upon seeing that you were being broadcasted on facebook, you told him to leave or you were calling the police. Which you did and I'm guessing you didnt get the result you were hoping for. Because the man was not arrested, nor detained, and he got paperwork he had originally asked for. Congratulations. Because not only did you waste police time and resources, you also just became facebook and radio famous. Which is not a good look or a proud moment for your hotel or that employee.

Do NOT recommend. Staff is rude, crude, and disrespectful to Veterans with legal medication on their person. It was disheartening to see a video of a Veteran being not only kicked out of their establishment, but to also see the Veteran ask for a receipt (which after working within a hotel for 10+ years, I know you could have given him one… regardless of Audit being run) and have LEOs called on him for such a simple request. You're right, you're "not the Motel 6", they probably treat Veteran's a LOT better than your company does.

Website says $79 for members, which we are. My husband stated to the woman at the front desk that we were and she very rudely said, ” I don’t know why the website says that. It’s wrong”. The money wasn’t the issue. We’ve always stayed here when we visit Joplin. He, however, asked for two cards and we were given one and then told the pool was out of service. We won’t be staying here tomo night!

Just a one night stay but a nice clean place. Love the lighting hopefully you will keep up with the cleanliness and lighting.

Love working for this hotel for almost 2 years they are my work family these ladies that I work with work hard thank u to all of u for the 5 star reviews.

It's not a problem with this particular Hotel but with Choice Hotels. The advertising of stay two nights and get one free is BS! Completely disgusted and disappointed with this hotel chain. After so many years of being a member I would not recommend this place. Spend 500 dollar's on rooms and they say you only have a enough points for a room at the econolodge roach motel.

Nice location and sevice.

Biggest disappointment was that we called in advance (before booking) and inquired about what time the pool closed as we were moving across the country and had promised our son he could swim at the hotel that night and wanted to be sure we would arrive in time for that. We were told the pool closed at midnight. When we arrived to check in my son was excited about the pool and we were looking forward to the hot tub (this was day 3 riding inthe U-Haul! ) and only then did they tell us the heater in the pool & hot tub were broken! WOW! The front desk agent definitely should have told us that when we called specifically asking about the pool a few hours earlier! Needless to say the water in both the pool and hot tub were both room temperature, which was about 75 degrees, and way too cold for any of us to enjoy! Room was clean and the A/C worked so that was good.

Spent three nights here and another tonight, because it's in Choice Hotels family — — this is not choice. The first stay was nice, but the toilet seats were either improperly replaced or someone didn't tighten them properly. And that's not a surprise a wife wants! Breakfast was standard for Comfort Suites, but do visitors really need to break bread with folks still in pajamas!? The hotel might want a common area dress code. Now, jump ahead to this evening, at checkin a client made it clear for his money taking out the trash was not in the deal on his part. Probably grousing for some reason… correct!? Not necessarily. Our room is decent but not the caliber of other Choice Hotels. The walls are visibly damaged and dingy, while the bed appears lumpy. Pull the bedding back and behold the bedding is there, but that's all it need be; right? How about putting the sheets on correctly. It's even possible maybe probable that there are queen sheets where king's should be. Nothing to brag about here, but management might want to revisit quality control. That noted, the kitchen, at least the third floor room team, and the front desk are great. They're friendly and helpful… not to mention patient.

Wonderful hotel. We were very warmly greeted. Front desk was well knowledgeable in the area. Room was amazing. Pool/spa heater was broke. But room was amazing.

The people are wonderful and polite. The room was clean but the bed was a bit uncomfortable.

After spending 3 days on the road, moving across the country in a 20' Uhaul, pulling a car hauler, we called this hotel because the rates were in our budget and wanted to know the hours of the pool as we knew we would be checking in late and wanted to enjoy a swim and soak in the hot tub. To our surprise the pool was open until 12am, what was also a surprise, was when we got checked in and to the pool, it was ice cold, and the hot tub was barely above freezing. Needless to say, this part of the stay was unpleasant. Another unpleasantness was the malfunctioning air conditioner. The front desk was notified of the issue before going to the pool. Weather anyone checked it out while our younger child went swimming was unknown because we weren't notified with a resolution. Upon returning to our room, we were so tired that we didn't bother following up. The room was cooling down, just very slow. The hotel in general was clean and had the best hot breakfast of the other two hotels we stayed at. Parking with a trailer wouldn't be an issue if it wouldn't have been so late.

This Comfort Inn did not live up to the standard other Comfort Inns are typically at. Positives include clean rooms and spacious, well-lit hallways. Breakfast was fine… nothing special, but definitely not awful. The fitness room had a treadmill, bike, and weight machine. There was a plastic, adjustable step for step exercises and a wall-length mirror. However, there were no free weights and the room was uncomfortably warm with no fans or ways to adjust the temperature. The heating/air conditioner unit was an old fashioned "warm to cool" adjustment with no temperature. Additionally it rattled all night long and I needed to use ear plugs. The worst part was that we picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool, but the pool was ICE COLD. I read a previous review (after our stay, unfortunately) that reported the same issue. So it doesn't appear to be a one-time occurrence. The "hot tub" was luke warm. The temperature was so mild I didn't hesitate to bring my 11 month old into the "hot tub. " My family spent most of our "pool" time in the "hot tub. "

I had an ok stay. I felt like the room was pretty decent, but nothing fancy. The plumbing here is really, really bad. You could flush the toilet and still have toilet paper and discolored water left behind. Need a few flushes to get anything down. Major improvements needed in that aspect. The indoor pool was cold as ice for memorial day weekend. You would think that would be prepared a little in advance to get ready, but for whatever reason it wasn't able to happen. The hot tub was lukewarm. The hot tub was the main reason we booked 4 rooms here, but that was an incredible disappointment. There are very few jets in it and it doesn't blow that hard either. There is literally nothing I this room to block out the sound in the room so it's a giant echo box. It echoes so badly it sounds like everyone is screaming, but they are just talking. I had to out some earplugs in to stay down there. They did allow us to stay in the area later than posted so we very much appreciated that. Breakfast was nothing special, but needed. I was very upset though when they randomly shut the drink machine off with 20 plus people in the room and everyone trying to get a drink. Why the heck would you do that? If you want repeat visits then you allow people to have a drink with breakfast! Come on!

First off no one came to the front desk until 20 min. Of waiting. Then there was trash all over the floor its like no one cleaned it. And there was hair everywhere it was so nasty.

They are remodeling therapist good the rooms were nice the employees were very friendly the internet wasn't the greatest.

The place is perfect. Anna and Sam deserve a raise because they bent over backwards to get everything that I needed. I will recommend the hotel to anyone. I can't say enough good things about the room!

They ripped me off, horrible service, freezing pool, lost my charger when I left it in room, old used filter in coffeemaker, no breakfast. … Worst place ever been.

I have been to multiple Comfort Inns this one here in Joplin gentleman at the front desk was the first one and probably about 2 years that actually recognized my diamond status and asked me if I wanted a free upgrade and there are so many wonderful restaurants within two to three blocks that this is a fantastic place to stay just FYI the cowboy Ribeye from Texas Roadhouse yeah spot on.

Room was clean and pretty comfortable. They put us in the back and the door leading in from the parking lot was broken and wouldn't lock so anyone off the street could enter the hotel. Did not feel safe! We had no problem but when I mentioned the door lock, they said it's been that way for months and they never had a problem.

Good breakfast, decent pool, very friendly and hospitable staff, but the hotel rooms are dated and not very clean. It seems like the cleaning staff do a quick once over but not a "deep" clean. Bed was not that comfortable. Room smelled like smoking even though hotel is smoke-free. They offered to move to another room that didn't smell like smoking but I still found the room wasn't "Deep" cleaned. Also the sub-floor in our room was broken and the floor was loud and bouncing around when we walked on it. We tiptoed so as not to create noise for the other guests downstairs but they really need to fix it. Something structurally wrong with the building? Don't stay here if you are a hypochondriac.

Was an older Comfort Inn. My wife and I went through three rooms before finding one with a decent bed. Once there the room was a room. Nothing remarkable to speak of. Plenty of chain restaurants to choose from around the property.

I'm giving this a 4 star only because the room was super hot we had to keep the air constantly running on 65 and the toilet was super close to the tub. Beds were super comfy. They had workers there remodeling the rooms and we COULD NOT hear them at all which was great! The breakfast and coffee was good. I would stay here again.

Very clean hotel and rooms. Great service. Good breakfast. The indoor pool is a little small and not heated. The hot tub had way to much chemical in it. The gym was good. A nice variety of equipment.

Moderately priced. Clean rooms with nice mattresses and pillows for a good nights sleep. Nice variety of breakfast food items. Convenient to the Freeman Hospital and other ammentities.

Hotel felt fairly dated. The first room I was put in smelled strongly of smoking. Hotel went smoke free about 2 years ago but the smoking rooms still smelled. Second room had water stains on the ceiling. The staff were very kind.

I loved my stay! I checked right in, found my room all fresh and clean, and slept wonderfully. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and how they slipped the receipt under the door for quick and simple checkout.

Exquisite location. Excellent customer service! Talked metal bands with the night manager when we arrived! Awesome!

We were able to check in at 2 (an hour early) which was nice except the room was filthy. But we were given another room immediately and that one was fine. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety. It's not a new hotel so things are a little worn but after our move to a new room, we were satisfied. The staff was very friendly also.

Very nice and inviting. Furnishings, carpets, etc look to be fairly new. Very nice breakfast. Was surprised though to see that nobody made the bed when we return at evening time.

I can't see why folks rate this place 5 star… as in no room for improvement.? Not enough handicap spots (1/5). No one at the front counter to check us in for 5 to 10 minutes (2/5). Keys didn't work for room (1/5). Floor in room was uneven (like something structurally bad) (1/5). Bed/pillows comfortable (5/5). Hot breakfast was OK but sausage and SOS was very bland… but it was a hot breakfast (4/5). No ice in ice machine when we arrived at night or in the morning when we left (1/5).

The hotel is located on the main road, with many restaurants within a mile of it. The service was excellent, and the people at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. A warning to late risers though: if you are still in your room when the cleaning crew comes at 10 a. M. They will not come back for the rest of the day to do any cleaning. I'm sure you can request it at the front office if needed, but since we were only here for two days, it wasn't necessary. Just a heads up. Otherwise the experience was great, and I would stay here again.

Very clean rooms and friendly customer service. Very quiet, and plenty things to do along with Wi-Fi and free breakfast.

Staff was accomodating & it was a good room overall but it had a noticeable musty smell.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable room at a nice price. After traveling across country and staying at a lot of hotels & motels, this one was really nice. The free breakfast was really good and there was plenty left and still warm after being open for over an hour. Definitely will be looking for more comfort Inn.

I absolutely loved staying here! Very clean, newly finished, nise employees, reasonable rates, and plenty of accessible rooms. I will be changing from LaQuinta to here from now on. Thanks for the comfortable Bed.

Not a bad stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was hot; however, there was an incessant vibrating noise above our room, making it hard to sleep. When we addressed the problem to the staff, they were helpful and attentive.

The room was clean, and the breakfast was good. We did have a rattling noise above our room, but the staff was attentive and looked in to it. Overall good experience.

I paid $140 for a one night stay in one of their jacuzzi suites that was advertised to come with a hot breakfast. My first issue is, my wife called to get an extra pillow and it didn't come with a pillow case. My second issue is, the breakfast was horrible. It is an hour after breakfast opened and the gravy is sitting in the crock pot ice cold and the fruit is less than desirable. I expected a lot more for the money I paid. Very disappointed and will not be back.

I was disappointed and had a bad experience and stay. The front desk clerk was asleep when I arrived and I had to holler to try to get him to wake up to check me in and eventually just call the front desk with my cellphone to get him to wake up and check me in. My room had an extremely bad odor that was overpowering and smells like someone way overdid the odor control or scent — like pungently bitter and sweet and incredibly strong. There are several hotels right nearby at the same price range with better amenities and smell. Decor in the rooms was recently updated and nice, but the smell on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the cheap basic mattresses diminish it's modern charm. Not a pleasant stay and lower quality than most other Comfort Inns. Ick.

Arrived at 1:00 am due to travel, the friendly attendant at the desk was helpful. However, our room was subpar due to there being caked urine on the toilet and someone's other BM on the inner toilet. My wife and I had to clean the restroom before letting our children use it. Told management and was only compensated half our costs even though we were only in the hotel for one third of the time we paid for. Do not recommend staying here.

Was very pleased. There are 3 weddings, a major kids sporting event and a bike rally here this weekend. We unfortunately broke down and all the hotels are booked. But they said they had a cancelation and got us in. Room was awesome, as well as all accomendations. Was pleasantly surprised that it was as quite as it was while there with a packed hotel of kids. Comfort Inn is always great!
