For comfort, this hotel was amazing! The bed was very soft. Front desk staff was outstanding! However, I did not appreciate getting woke up by pounding on my door at 9AM by housekeeping just to see if I was still in the room so they could clean. That negated my entire experience.
If you are staying over 30 days and expect a refund on your state taxes. This is not your hotel. My husband has traveled with his job for 40 years and we have never been refused our taxes after staying the required 30 days. We prefer a Holiday Inn because the norm is no surprises. The ONLY complaint we have is. Upon arriving we asked about their policy on this protocol snd were told to remind them close to the 30 days. I did that on the 28-29 day. She said when I laid weekly as I normally do to remind her. Normally on your 3” day they refund back to your CC. Then for not charge taxes fir the remainder of your stay. When I reminded her when I laid the bill a few days later she said you will get it refunded on check out. When we checked out she said I need to get the managers approval. After we left and I called back to assure we had gotten it credited we were informed the manager said no we are not going to return your taxes which is a law … we have NEVER been refused the refund of our taxes and it is a law that after 30 days you are considered a resident and do but have to pay the state tax daily. We have no problem with other holiday Inns. We were told at that tone we would have had to pay 30 days in advance. At no find were we told this prior. We are very upset because it’s not the hotels money and it’s a tax break that is for travelers paying taxes where they live. I don’t blame the very efficient employees this in on management!

Place was clean, nice, and comfortable, but the area is in “the hood” and we were awoken by two people fighting for hours and didn’t feel safe at all.
