Dirty. Long black hairs in the sheets. Bathroom smelled like urine. Toiletries that were partially used were put into use for the next guest (us) They were hosting a large and very loud group of people in their lobby area… the noise carried late into the night. The hallways smelled like a bar… and to top it off… we were charged 250.00 for smoking! we did not smoke in that room. We returned back to the hotel were we treated like total crap by the staff. We tried to contest the charges and were given a manager (Jenna) to speak with over their phone. Jenna then accused us of smoking marijuana! Jenna went on to say that we should be better parents and not smoke in front of our kids and threatened to call the police on us if we didnt chose to leave HER hotel. We asked staff to provide us with Jenna's last name and were told, "they did not know… and it shouldnt matter. " Staff also explained that it was their policy and that we signed a no smoking clause and it was their in their policy that regardless of not having any evidence of smoking… they were ALLOWED to charge our debit card the extra charges. We went back into the room that we stayed in… NO SMELL… I have travelled MANY places and have never been put through the ringer like this place has done to my family and I. Please if you ABSOLUTELY have to stay here… MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SIGN THAT SMOKING CLAUSE, bring your own toiletries and blankets… dont forget the earplugs.

Wonderful place to stay for the night, very quiet, big rooms and the beds are so comfy. We would most certainly stay here again!

Very clean hotel. Stopped due to inclement weather during our Thanksgiving travels.

Nice nice! I just do not like dogs in a hotel! Since they allow dogs in the hotel then they over use the product Fabuloso to cover up the dog smell! I am not a fan of Fabuloso because it is not a cleaner/disinfectant but merely liquid perfume that smells cheap! The front desk staff was nice but not overly friendly. The house keeping staff was very nice and helpful. The beds and pillows are the best thing! We enjoyed your stay!

Service was excellent, hotel was extremely clean and smelled wonderfully. Beds were comfortable except pillows, they were feather and too squishy. They should provide another option for those who want a firmer pillow. Also, breakfast was pretty bland. For continental hotel food, it could have been better. Plus the breakfast space is too congested, everyone is on top of each other in line trying to get their food items.

Nice hotel but our toilet wouldn't flush consistently, and we found someone else's trash under bed.

When this property first opened it was great but it has really gone down hill. The hotel had a very strong smell in the hallways. Best way to describe it is a bad case of body odor. The room was not much better. Although it didn't smell like BO the shower had mold and there was a big clump of hair in the corner of the shower. It's sad to say we will not be staying here again. We loved the location to legends but we need a cleaner place.

We had a group of family in several rooms over our stay. Every room had something wrong (non working outlets/phone, broken door lock, missing ironing board, broken bathroom fan) nothing huge, and everything was fixed when we asked. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool is tiny, and no hot tub. Lol. Breakfast was typical continental (waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc). Beds were super comfy! There was a nice grassy area next to the parking lot for the kids to fun around in, and catch fireflies!

I choose this particular hotel because it is quick easy access to the interstate along with that there is a ton of good eateries, and other fun things to do. The price is always within my budget and the hospitality from management to the staff is never short of inviting, cheerful, and extremely helpful with all my needs. Great place to stay, clean rooms, spacious, and accommodating.

Great location. Room is large enough not cramped feeling. Told front desk that room smelled either like cigarette smoke or farm animals. He gave me room freshener spray. It didn't really help. I also asked if each room had a coffee pot, which is usually provided. Ours didn't have one. He gave me one but the warmer didn't work. I took it back and was told that's the good thing about microwaves in the room. Really? How about offering to change rooms? We are now stuck here for 3 more days.

Poor Casey Basgall confused Comfort INN on I-70 with Comfort SUITES on I-435 in her 2013 review. This is the page to review Comfort SUITES, not so far from where she stayed. The manager that Casey named has never worked at this Comfort SUITES. The free parking at Comfort SUITES is such a large area, it has never been completely full. Leaving your car a few extra nights at "Comfort SUITES Speedway" is never a problem after leaving word at the front desk. As for the male strippers where Casey stayed…? Well, at the Comfort SUITES, you just call Mark at the front desk. He knows how to take care of sleeping disturbances while protecting your anonymity, too! "Comfort INN I-70… " might be good for some travelers, but I would cordially invite Casey to try "Comfort SUITES Speedway" on her next visit to the area.

We had friends stay at this facility while visiting us over Memorial Day. They indicated that the rooms we're very nice. Large and roomy, clean and well designed. The rate was reasonable for the holiday weekend. The location is convenient, right off from I435 — easy to get to activities quickly.

We arrived at the comfort suites speedway in Kansas City.   Check in process was easy but once we arrived in our room we found that one of the beds had damp sheets.   They would not give us another room or even come and change our sheets.   The only thing that they did was give me new sheets to change myself.   I even had to go to the desk to get them myself. Once we went to change the sheets my wife found that it was soaked into the mattress. We called a second time and the lady at the front desk gave us a second room because she didn't have another double room. At least she did something. This is certainly not what I expected from a comfort suites!

Overall the hotel room was clean. We were provided adequate amenities but required additional towels. The customer service was great and everyone was very friendly. The complementary breakfast was also really good and I enjoyed the coffee after a 23 hour drive from California.

Great place to stay. Dividing wall between couch and bed was a great place for pack n play. Toddler went right to sleep on other side. Friendly atmosphere. Will stay at again.

I reserved this 3 days ahead of time and made my choice with the help of reviews, my stay was March 22-23, 2018 so I am gonna contribute now. If you are planning on staying soon, know before you go, the place is under remodeling in some areas so when you go up and down you have to wait for workers to move stuff or finish up what they're doing and deal with the noise and paint smell during the day. If I knew this I wouldn't have stayed even though I don't have any complaints about the room or service, I just I don't wanna deal with this during my (supposed to be relaxing) vacation when there are plenty other options around. The room looked just the pictures, and was clean and the beds are comfortable. It has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The breakfast is great and the ladies are on it keeping it fully stocked at all times. Overall I liked my stayed and recommend it. Just ask if they're done with the remodeling or request a room away from this areas.

Nice Hotel but a few things I did not like. I found a dirty sock under the couch and a Twix wrapper between the bed and the wall. The Breakfast variety was good. The pull out couch was a torn worn out mattress nice beds. Nice eating area. The pool was broken on our second day. Good Hotel rooms smelled clean except the sock and the Twix.

This is a decent hotel. When we first checked in, we had a room next to another room that had a loud dog in it. The staff was very accommodating and gave us another room down the hall. The bed was really comfortable. The room was clean. The breakfast was pretty good (waffles! ) And the coffee was really good for a hotel. I would stay here again.

The hotel is not near anything, but that does make it a quiet location. Restaurants and plenty of retail are a mile south. The rooms are long but narrow, the TV isn't visible from the couch, and the sofa bed was unusable with its worn mattress and torn linens. The wallpaper was peeling and the furniture was very worn, and the bed was very hard. The mini fridge had no freezer, and the drapes didn't close well. The shower was gummed up with lime and sprayed weakly, and the shower curtain had stains. All this added up to a very shabby room, not what we expect from this brand. On the bright side, the staff are friendly and efficient, the breakfast is adequate as long as you can eat wheat, and the coffee machine is awesome and runs 24 hours. There was a crew painting on another floor, so I'm optimistic that the management is addressing some of the room issues and we'd be very willing to try it again after those improvements have been made.

Very well managed hotel. Staff was very prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. George and Mary Ann gave the Comfort Suite Hotel a strong sense of comfort. Rooms and common areas both look and smell clean. Stayed at Great Wolf Lodge last night and most definitely recommend this hotel for the value!

Comfort Inn and Suites is typically a nice place to stay while traveling and this location is a perfect example of how nice the chain can be. The room was clean and smelled nice. The hallways and common areas were clean, well lit, and organized. The breakfast was good too and a nice value to not have to go out for breakfast. The staff was courteous and helpful.

I had a very pleasant time during my stay. Everything was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was very good. I'd recommend staying there to all my friends and family!

Great hotel at a great price. Staff was friendly and courteous, and the breakfast was pretty good. The accessible room I had was very large, and had a small sitting area, which was nice to use before bed.

Comfortable atmosphere in the rooms. Lots of mirrors, big turn of the TV, night bathroom lights and many other nice touches which we didn't find in the more expensive hotels. And The main thing is silence! The Motorway is relatively far away and does not interfere with sleep. The room Was clean and the breakfast was good:-D.

I love the hotel! The staff were amazing, they were kind and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing, our room was clean, and very comfortable. The hotel looks very modern and clean. I will recommend this hotel to everyone.

I am a little concerned about this location. My wife booked it because it was close to my families house and the rates were pretty good. My initial feeling was that this will work because I really did not planning doing anything but sleeping a couple of hours a night. We closed our reservation early because the cleanliness was not up to my standards. There were cobwebs, dust particles and particulates everywhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would suggest that they work to significantly improve this area of their business IMMEDIATELY. Thumbs down!

Pretty clean except for the weird smell in the hallway. Comfortable and clean rooms. The complimentary breakfast was also very nice with a good variety of food.

Overall it was a good stay. Location is good not much close-by to eat. You have to travel a mile or two down the road to get to something to eat but then again you're away from most of the major traffic in Kansas City. I was a little disappointed about the comfort of the bed and the service received by the cleaning crew. They kinda did a good job. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience I would give this place a 3.5 if we would let me put a half a star.

Rooms were nice. Lobby needed cleaned better. Bathroom in lobby area had no paper towels at 4pm check in times. Staff was nice. Pool is small. Overall, decent hotel for price.

I always enjoy my stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and are always clean. The staff is always polite and friendly. I absolutely love the beds; awfully comfortable. The morning breakfast selection is good as well. There was a snafu in that house cleaning failed to service my room; however, the leading housemaid did stop in & provide what we needed. Also, the showers are well overdue for new, modern shower heads. I will certainly try to stay here whenever I can when I'm in the area.

It was nice & convenient, but the bath towels need changing out. They are old & don't do a lot of drying off. We had to wait for the desk attendant to bring yogurt to the breakfast room, because the fridge was empty. Also had to wait for him to mix up some waffle fixings. There was no fruit. We have stayed at many Comfort Suites & this was the most disappointing one. Thanks for asking.

Great hotel in a quiet location while still close to the interstate and Legends Outlets. Good breakfast options with nice seating. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Pool was clean and water was warm. Great value for the price, would stay again.

Super nice place. Location is awesome. The speedway, grocery stores and plenty of dining locations all within a couple miles. Currently in my second week here and the rooms have been clean. The staff is pretty friendly and the indoor pool is a plus. Decent breakfast but not something you'd want to live off of.

I was very pleasantly surprised… my friend and I just needed an overnight during our road trip, but we found comfy beds and a little fridge where we stored our perishables til the next day. Price was very reasonable. We didn't stay for breakfast, but it smelled good!

I am a hotel skeptic and I rarely find the reviews accurate. I felt compelled to leave one about this hotel because it was fantastic. Duane at the front desk was great, the breakfast every morning was good, and the rooms were super nice, updated, and clean. Every time we go back to KC we will be staying here. We stayed in three hotels during our visit and after we found this one we didn't leave. The location was perfect but more importantly the hotel is clean and upgraded. The pool isn't huge but it's nice. Half the hotels we stay in I won't even get in the pool because of how bad of shape it's in. Love this place!

Really enjoyed meeting Duayne at the front desk, he was exceptionally friendly and helpful, had a quick smile and an easy laugh. Great employee! We enjoyed the rooms, slept well, and ate more breakfast than we should have because it was so good.

Reservation missing found about 5 min after arrival. Room nice but hotel appeared new on outside but not inside just normal. Asked for a handicap king was put on top floor near elevator, at least not much walking for spouse and not a handicap room but worked fine but the hotel looked pretty empty based on the 4 cars in parking lot. Friendly employees. The slow check in was the loss of star…

I stayed at the hotel for a week and it was the best stay I have had, I felt like the staff treated me with 5 star treatment. The room was immaculate the king size bed was awesome. The only down side was the shower head needs cleaned as the water output would only work on jet mode all and all I will definitely return for another stay.

Newly renovated making the rooms look very nice and up to date nice little continental breakfast very friendly staff perfect price range couldn't ask for better.

Overall a nice place. The rooms are large and the breakfast is good. My only complaint is that there was a stain on my blanket that looked like blood. When I went down and told the front desk, the woman just handed me a new blanket. No apology or anything. Just sent me to change the bedding myself.

Decent location near an interstate highway, rooms are well kept and maintained although no lockboxes if you are looking for that, service is also relatively nice. I didn't have any problems and was even allowed to clock in earlier then expected due to the cleaning crew having our room done ahead of schedule.

The check in process was very easy. The rooms were nice and spacious. They appeared to have been renovated recently as nearly everything looked new, or they just may have kept it up very well. Either way, was very happy for the room for the price. We came in town for a concert in the KC area and after a late night, in hot weather, it was nice coming back to a clean, nice and comfortable room. The staff was very nice. The young lady at the front desk suggested a nice BBQ restaurant and was nice enough to check and see on Google Maps that it was in the direction that we were heading for the concert. When we came back around 11:30 pm (after the concert), we were promptly acknowledged with a very friendly "Welcome Home! " from Mark. Haven't had the breakfast yet, but it is usually good at Chocie hotels. Usually an alternating hot dish, make your own waffles, fruit, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee. The breakfast area looks nice and spacious, so I am sure the breakfast will be fine. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again next time I am in the KC area.

Nice comfy brand new mattresses (as in they were changing them out the day we checked in). Spacious rooms. Nice pool for the kids. Close to lots of stuff. Easy off the highway. Really good breakfast (though the coffee cups are small). Descent Wi-Fi. Will definitely stay here again.

Everything with the hotel was fine. Customer service was crap. The "shuttle" was the owners personal Toyota. We got dropped off at the wedding we were attending at 8. At 10 when we called for a shuttle back, they refused. When I called to say my charger had been left, they refused to check the room until the next day.

Horrible hotel. First room the air conditioner did not work, looked at the filters and they were black, looked like they have never been cleaned! Then switched to the second room, a/c was better but the shower wouldn't drain. Water was over my ankles halfway through. This morning it finally went down. Then, last but not least, there was the previous ladys receipt left in the room, on the coffee table, address, number, full name, credit card #, EVERYTHING! After all of this, went to check out this morning, there was a "Manager on duty" sign, of course the manager doesn't come in until 12n. The guy at the front desk did nothing but gave me a $10 bill. Literally. Would not recommend and will never stay again.

This hotel fit our needs. We booked via Priceline (didn't know hotel name until after we had paid) … when we first arrived I was nervous that we weren't very close to the Legends/Speedway area because we came in from the north and couldn't see it, but it's only a couple minutes south. I believe the hotel even offers some limited shuttle service to that area if needed. We had a comfortable king bed and our boys had a pull out couch, I believe every room has a pull out couch too. We also had a nice flat screen, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Room seemed clean. Air/heat worked well. Staff was all very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was decent, cereal, fruit, breads, 2 hot items & fresh waffles you could make yourself, yogurt, juice, coffee etc. Only a couple complaints… our boys were super excited to swim and they got to, but the pool did not seem clean, the pool room had a foul odor : — (I think I read somewhere that it was a saltwater pool, there was definitely NO smell of chlorine, pool was super cloudy too… and I really wish there would have been hot tub! The pool is small, good for small kids to jump and splash but that's about it. And I made them shower everytime they got out due to the smell and seemly dirty water. You could also tell that floors rarely get vacuumed around the walls as well as in the stairwell… just needed a good vacuum, something most people probably wouldn't notice lol.

The room was clean and tidy, the check-in process was prompt, however we requested a crib for our son, the only crib was in use, so we had to make do with what we had. The front desk personnel did offer us a pack-and-play for him. It was too tiny for him to fit in. Not a deal breaker however. We enjoyed the pool, I appreciated the warm slightly chlorinated water, not so strong your eyes burn upon opening the pool door. Breakfast was pretty good, the eggs didn't seem real, texture was a little off, however we ate several of them, palatable for sure, but just a little off. Location is great, we really enjoyed staying at the hotel! I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Nice hotel. Was wondering when we were booking but it was clean. Pool was small but very warm. Rooms were spacious and very clean. I would defiantly stay there again.

Easy parking, easy check in, Big Clean room, great king bed, super nice staff & wonderful breakfast! Nice TV plus an indoor pool! We were really pleased with our stay on the third floor on the weekend of 1/22!

I wish I could give it a negative rating. Shower sucks not clean. Walls are paper thin. Two people playing cards in their room were asked to leave. If I pay for the room I should be able to use it. Stupid night manager. Turning them in to AAA as not a desired location.

This is a very clean hotel with very good customer service. I booked a king room online and when I arrived early, check in was easy and my room was ready. The room was large with a microwave and fridge and fit all my needs. Breakfast was good with 3 hot items, cereal, rolls, fruit, yogurt, and juices available.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the hotel! Everything from staff to room condition was top notch. Will now be our go to hotel for trips to Kansas City.

Rooms are dirty and smokey. The carpet has not been deep cleaned and our feet were black from walking in the room. There was also mold in bathroom. Staff friendly enough except for one guy that I encountered during booking. If cleaned it would have been a fine experience.

I've never been here, but it looks dumb I couldn't bring my 8 girlfriends so I didn't have a good time at all I missed them so much and I think they stayed at home with my dad having a better time with him: (.

After a long day of driving and site-seeing it was wonderful to have a great experience staying here. The facilities were new and nice. The rooms are big and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. For the rest of our trip we are booking rooms at Comfort Suites.

Where to even begin with the hotel! We had gotten 3 rooms for 3 couples! 1. Not a family place to be! — Male Strippers were in the hallways with girls running around ALL NIGHT long! Management did nothing about this! 2. No shower head in room! Took 3 days for them to get it fixed! 3. No parking was avaliable the night the strippers stayed — So we were told our car would be towed! 4. We went down to management to let them know one of the rooms smelled like smoke as soon as we got there. They said that they were aware of the problem and would not chare us. We got charged for the room. 5. The one out of three days that the maids came to our room to clean they took our bedding with them. We called to the front desk to ask what happened they said to come down and we could get our sheets and comforter! They wouldn't leave the front desk so we had to make our own bed. 6. When I had talked to the Manager Steve Ranat he was never able to comment on the stay, he had other people talk to me first. Then when I finally got to talk to him he blew everything off and just told me to have a good day. I have never seen a worse hotel! I would never recommend a Comfort Inn to anyone! Worst experiance and customer service I have ever seen in my life.

I am traveling for work all over Kansas this week! I stayed in really awful place last night. When I called to get directions, the staff was wonderful directed me right to them while on my cell. After arriving at this beautiful hotel, Duane (staff member) walked me through fixing my wireless internet on my laptop! Very nice staff and even offered to mapquest my next stop.! I will be staying at all comfort suites from now on! Great job.
