This Val lady is a rude person I will never stop in this place again.

Semi trucks and RV’s can no longer park here unless you buy a parking pass. We stopped here to switch this morning and a grumpy security guard came and said he was going to have us towed unless we bought a parking pass. I told him we would only be there about 10 minutes.
He said that we had to drive around to the store and buy a pass or he was going to call the tow truck.
He was really rude about it.
We stop here occasionally to switch and get snacks but not anymore.

Great place to park your rig when passing through Las Vegas. Awesome sandwich shop at the travel center and friendly staff.

Room in need of update. No sound proofing could hear adjoining rooms TV. Room also had a door to adjoining room. Needs refreshing room had a not so pleasant odour. People running up and down hallways @ 3 a. M. On the plus side the restaurant in the casino had good food, good portions + good prices. Personally I would not stay there again.

Casino was great. Steakhouse was perfect. Slots were loose. Anyone who could give this place a bad review was asleep. Staff was so friendly. It was clean. I didnt drink but the server was always asking if anyone needed drinks… The price in the Steakhouse was great. I had a huge Prime Rib and my wife had the chicken. The price was low for the quality and service.

Heavy smell of cigarettes made me think that the ventilation system does not work, kinda have you a dirty feel. The prices for buffet or even the steakhouse are ridiculously proceed for being off the strip and not even much selection and small. Nearly half the staff was acting lost some tried to be friendly and respectful which is the only reason for me giving them two stars. Overall experience, I would not recommend nor think about returning.

Went to the buffet for lunch yesterday. Wow, I've never seen so much processed food before. Food was not fresh and the salad looked "white" and old. The "steak" was fatty with little beef with it. The enchiladas had mystery cheese inside and did not taste real. Railroad Pass Casino has fallen greatly since its heyday 20 years ago.

We came here on the way out of Nevada to eat at the buffet. First off, this place is extremely dead. And I think the whole place is a smoking section, even if it isn't, because it is a small casino. As for the buffet, it was pretty small, but if you get your free players card, the buffet is half off the cost. So that was a plus. They do come often enough with free drinks while you play the machines. If you want a quiet, smokey place to play the slots then come here. Surprisingly I did quite well, winning a total of $70 on penny slots, but the other two people I was with lost all their money. So I guess that is why they call it a gamble!

What a nightmare! After 22 years of traveling worldwide in the military and then 15 more years traveling worldwide as a defense contractor, I can honestly state that I have only stayed in two hotels that were worse than this one. The hotel has a fee for early check-in; however, it appears that the fee isn't used to pay anyone to clean the room. There was trash in the refrigerator, under the bed, on the tables and night stands, and everywhere. The room had not been vacuumed and the shower/tub was filthy. To top it off the room was a smoking room and the smell was unbearable. The room was pet-friendly and was a suite originally reserved for my daughter who was 6 months pregnant, my son-in-law and my granddaughter. They couldn't stay in the room because of the overpowering smell of cigarettes, so I switched my room with them. When I complained to the front desk, I was offered another suite but it was also a smoking room. Lot of good that would have done. Then the clerk said that he would have the manager, Lana, call me that evening as she wouldn't be at work until 09:00 am the following morning and we were leaving at 07:30 am. Luckily she came to work early, but her people skills were definitely lacking and while she reduced the price of the room and waived the early check-in fee, it still didn't make up for the condition and smell of the room. How hard is it to clean a room? I will never stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is far from the Strip, but it's on the way to the dam. It also has a large truck stop. We ate at the buffet, which was good. My only complaint about that is I didn't care for the quality of their desserts. Maybe that's just me. Some of my relatives always stay there. They like the hotel.

Tons of great parking. Good location. Nice store near by. Room was very gross. Blood on one bed sheet bathroom was needing cleaned. We got a non smoking room. But it was on the top floor so it smelled strongly of cigarette and marijuana smoke. I certainly won't stay here again or recommend anyone else to.

Love this place! Yes it's old, yes it's small, yes it's smokey… but the staff is very friendly and the slots pay well. Probably deserves 3 stars, but I enjoy myself there too much to give it a three. Ate at the Iron Rail Cafe, food was very reasonably priced and quite tasty. My wife, mom and sister in law feel the same way about it… making it our go-to place while visiting family in Vegas and Boulder City. Much construction and improvements are taking place on the outside, which is good… but also hope they do not change the personality too much.

This place was a great value for what it was. So got a new owner, new truck stop out front all new parking lot which looks great. But now we've raised rates. The rooms were redone with bare minimum up grades. Beds are hard as stone. The bathroom's have no counter space for bathroom bag. The wife loved setting here make up bag on the floor. Thanks RRP. I loved hearing about that for 200 miles. This is not a place I will be back to.

I think it is very good food the casino excellent service.

Had lunch at the buffet, 2 for 1 special. Not a lot to choose from and food was just okay. Not that I expected more. I enjoyed the casino experience as it seemed to be a step back 10 years in the past. They also have new machines. I'm sure I'll stop by again in the future when I'm in the area.

Accommodations are good for the price and the staff is always kind and accommodating. As one of the oldest casino-hotels in Nevada it has a unique atmosphere reflective of its decades of use. Its patrons are mostly comprised of senior citizens which also extend to the employed staff. The cafe, buffet and steak house have delicious and well priced meal options. Parking is uncovers and readily available. It also offers easy in and out overnight truck parking for big trucks psssing by the highway 215 in front of the casino.

Waiters always nice and attentive. But it can take a long time for food. Which isn't a bad thing if your not on a schedule. Food always good and hot. They do give a discount for professional truck drivers.

I love this place! Especially if your a trucker it's even better. Once the gas station in June there will be a huge Grand opening and little perks for the truckers. The buffet is good and cheap. We came for the graveyard special and it is 1.99 but don't forget to get you players card. The lunch buffet is even better it's buy one get one so me and my partner got to eat till are hearts content for 8 and some change! You can't really go anywhere and that and be satisfied but here you can.

Ate the Weekend Champagne Brunch; I was pretty impressed with the food: Presentation-good, Quality-good; Variety-good; Prices-good; Customer Service-good; Atmosphere-fair. Construction near property, so it. Was hard to get to it; Slots-decent variety, but don't expect to win anything. Would re-visit the Buffet.

We chose to stay here this weekend because it was the only hotel that had two dog friendly rooms available that were not astronomically expensive (i. E. Not over $300 per room) in the Las Vegas/Henderson Nevada area. Little did we know that this hotel/casino was in the middle of nowhere, with the nearest gas station under construction, as well as the rest of the entire hotel area. When we walked in, the employees were friendly, but unfortunately, not enough to make up for the fact that we had to pay a resort fee for amenities that weren't even available to us during our stay, such as the swimming pool (filthy and apparently under construction) and vending machines (everything sold out). The rooms smelled and looked old, and the restaurants were overpriced for what they were worth. The best part of this hotel was its casino's slot machines, which my beau and I enjoyed gambling for the first time since becoming of age. The man working at the cage who gave us our winning money was super nice, and made our night. I would only come to this place again if they finish construction and charge a lot less for what they offer.

Sportsbook is efficient but casino is tiny. Not bad for a quick place to play for a few minutes and get a bite at the cafe but not good if you are looking for Vegas experience. Rooms are big and steakhouse is excellent.

Fun Cocktail Server fun people ignore the walking dead. Complained that a group next to me was being to loud. The ladies in the group handled up. It's a casino for nuts sake. Buffet was good. We will stop in again.

Wow. What a down hill slope in 1 year. First they no longer recognize veterans with a hat. Nope now they get a sticker for their players card. Hello. Not a toddler, don't need a sticker. Next, get to counter informed "No. Discounts, and no crab legs. " Me: so did you run out? Cashier: we haven't had them in over 4 months, (said in a tone like duh hello) then she states they quit the crab legs because people wouldn't eat all the crab they took, so they got rid of them. So I paid$16.99 drove an hour and 45 minutes to get a mediocre buffet for top dollar price. Dissatisfied disappointed and really bummed.

Hotel was hard to get into because of construction. Paid extra for a pet friendly room, but when arrived, was told there was not an area to walk the dog. There was so much construction, there wasn't even a sidewalk. Had to be moved to another room because of ants. Steak house service was slow. It took 45 minutes after ordering to get our food and food was way over priced. Our accompanying party had to have shower fixed first thing the next morning. We would not ever stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone!

This is our favorite hotel in the Vegas area. It's got a lot of history. It's nice and quiet compared to the strip hotels. The cafe is a great value and tastes great. All of the staff from front desk to housekeeping after all very friendly and professional. Definitely recommend at least checking it out.

I think that this was about the best casino experience in a while. Not big not small. Food was very well made, waitresses very good. Well maintained. Nice machines.

We stayed here because it was $20 cheaper than the next cheapest hotel in Boulder city, and we think the decision paid off. Highway construction makes it relatively difficult to get in and out of the hotel, but the inconvenience wasn't too severe. The beds are relatively uncomfortable, but otherwise the rooms are above average quality at this price point I think. Food was pretty bad. We got an order of pancakes. The syrup they gave was thick like snot. Pretty disgusting. And the pancakes themselves were soft, but pretty bland.

You can’t beat this casino for blackjack. Double deck 3/2 5$ minimum and you can get a seat! The other table is a shoe that pays 3/2 for 3$ minimum. I tend to do descent at the video poker there too compared to Stations. Steak house is priced descently and good quality. Diner is really great and I prefer over the buffet. Very chill and relaxed there too!

I love this little casino. I always stop by anytime I am on my way thru boulder city. The buffet is a the best ten dollar buffet in the valley. I don't know if they still have the coin slots but it takes me back 23 years when I first moved to the valley. I hope the new freeway bypass doesn't hurt them too much. It would be a shame the employees are always so nice and friendly.

Historical hotel and casino that has the oldest gaming license in Nevada. They have a inexpensive buffet and diner as well as a steakhouse that is excellent but cost a bit more (expect $100+ for 2 people with tip but we'll worth it) Casino is a little on Smokey side but this is normal in Nevada. Wide variety of table games and slots. A small sports bet. This has a local feel that a lot of people in Henderson and Boulder City go to. Get a player's club and they will send you some freebies and you can get discount in the resteraunt.

One of the best meals you can get on the very affordable side. There's a Great 24hr restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner and even dessert all with great meal deals. The Buffet is pretty good too. Might look a bit dingy but with the food they ain't stingy. Lol. They have an amazing Crab Leg night. So much food it's definitely worth its weight in Crab legs. The Steak House is good and exciting. You never know what you might see happen there. Seems to some that the Steak House is haunted, but who believes those rumors. Well the gambling is alright nothing major. Enjoy.

I went to the buffet. The staff is friendly and the food is good and cheap. They had breakfast, lunch, dessert and an omelette and waffle bar, where food is freshly made in front of you. There's a separate bar and smaller, straight to the point restaurants such as a steakhouse. The casino is small and a little old. It's great if you don't want to be bothered. The view is great. There are mountains all around the building.

We had the buffet. Monday and Tuesday are half price with a card, so instead of 6.99 it was 3.50. What a great deal. The waitress was great and the place was clean.

I am only reviewing on the cafe and the casino as I have never actually stayed at this hotel. My husband and I live in Bullhead City and we travel to Las Vegas about once a month for either business or personal reasons. We stop at Railroad pass whenever time permits because they have a late night cafe special that cannot be beat! The food is affordable, and very good!

Love the view from here. The Cafe is awesome, and the food and service is even better. Nice change of pace from downtown Vegas and the strip. A must try!

I'm reviewing the iron rail cafe and not the casino as a whole. My family has gone to the railroad pass cafe many times, and they always get my order wrong. My order is simple, a barbecue bacon burger well done, I order this every time because I'm not the biggest fan of the menu. Every time I received the order one of two things will happen; it's under cooked or they forget the bacon, now I can forgive the bacon because it could have been an oversight. My real complaint is how can your cooks get it wrong every time? I've always been polite about returning the food, but this was the last straw, after returning the burger this time it came back 25 minutes later almost burnt and it was hard as if it was sitting under a cooling lamp for a while. If you do go, never order the burgers, they don't know how to cook them.

I took my Grandson to treat him at the seafood buffet. On their website they had a scrolling advertisement showing the Friday night seafood buffet would be $19.99 with a players card. Upon arriving we were told that it would be $29.99 each. That's nice strip casino pricing. We were already there so we paid the $29.99 each. I was not happy with the price difference and neither were the other guests. Sadly with the quality of food that was served including the crab legs, paying $4.99 each would have been over paying. Very limited selection and poor quality.

Excellent location on the outskirts of Las Vegas, they serve food 24 hours in the café and away from the bustling city.

No longer is the deafening noise that was there before.

Bathrooms were clean. The food is good for what it is. They have very good specials.

Good service. Employees are hamables and the rich food.

Went on the 4th of july ate at the cafe had 8oz prime rib it was yuge and so delicious.

Good pricing. When first getting there it looked a little dated but the rooms were very clean. The only CON was the smell, but we stayed at a smoking room because of one of the persons traveling with us. Food at the diner was good, staff were very friendly! Not that bad for having the kids with us! I would come back!

This well located and have good casinos.

To get away for the night. I love the rooms, prices, and excellent service. I was not lucky on gambling, however the dealers were friendly, fun, and had some laughs. Great place all around. Plus the buffet rocks!

Eratic slots, do not pay on advertised features (bonus) … played Konami Dragon's law, have played this 1000's times… never seen a no pay free game feature without the dragon appearing from above or below… usually happens 3-5 times during 8 free games… I got 12 free games, no dragon ever appeared. Pay card advertises dragon and wild feature appears "frequently" during free games. No explanation from slot supervisor, either casino operator or Komani has unfairly removed this feature at selected times. Would not recommend slot play at this casino. Hwb.

Fantastic older casino. We were only playing penny ten play, but while we did lose ultimately, it gave us each a couple four of a kinds to get excited about and keep us seated. We will definitely be back.

Food was amazing, most of the staff was good. Except one guy who look disgruntled to have to work. He poured coffee into my mother's cup when she was gone. Even when I said she didn't want it. He didn't even look at us, he didn't really belong in a job like that. Needless to say of he wasn't there my rating would've been 4 stars.

Did not stay overnight, used the casino as a meeting point for a motorcycle event. Had breakfast in the buffet, food was good but not enough staff on hand to handle the influx of bikers. All in all, would go there again for the same reason.

How pathetic. The poor attempt to upgrade rooms was a complete disappointment but then they thought raising the rate to nearly one hundred per night was justified. Wrong. Great people have either been fired or eliminated for whatever reason. The newest owner thinks the steakhouse should have his name on the place. Maybe he just doesn't eat there because the food is better in the buffet. Extremely high priced. Sad changes and a whole lot of bad ideas is exactly what I see happening here.

Great paradise, food is good, casino nice place to go. I stop here last two time w go to las vegas to do delivery good parking for my semi tractor tráiler.

Location is great as a last hurrah on your way east out of Vegas. Stopped in to play Craps, their table doesn't open until 3pm just a heads up.

We have been going to the prime rib and BBQ rib nights in the buffet for years. Two weeks ago, we went and the portions had been drastically cut back. Now you only get a thin cut Prime Rib (half the thickness of what they used to serve) and on Rib night the cook gave me a big plate with two skinny meatless ribs. I looked and him and asked what's this? I thought it was a joke. He said management was changing things. Even the buffet selection entrees have been cut in half and taste worse than ever! Even the regular sized hamburger patties are now slider size. I laughed watching this man trying to piece them together onto one hamburger bun. Oh well, we are heading to the Fiesta these days. The staff was always nice and knew us by name and never had to ask what we drank. To bad for them. They were also busting their butts trying to clear twice the amount dishes off the tables due to the small portions. And people were making more trips back to the chef's station.

Stopped in when we seen there was semi truck parking the food was great. The casino is clean and welcoming. Checked on room prices on our way and the prices were very good …
