Within biking distance of the Hoover Dam, the Lodge is a nice getaway and place to stay during our road trip across the American Southwest. Pet friendly with laundry facilities, this is a great complement to our RV for those days that were just too hot to be cooped up in the car. The only complaint is that since the Lodge houses a number of casino rooms there is a lingering smell of smoke outside of the (thankfully) smoker-free rooms.

Wow! Super clean, HUGE rooms, nice pool, and free snacks in the room! Our family didn't use the casino but we DID find an arcade on site where most of the machines still use a quarter. Some are 50c. We probably spent an hour in there and had a tetras war! Haha! Great time. There's a restaurant on site but no vegetarian options on the menu really. All in all, awesome place!

The casino was very clean and the staff were very kind and professional there was an exceptional employee I experienced in my visit she was a young lady named Ashley… which is ironically my name is well! If I were to rate somebody on perfect service on a scale of 1 to 10 I would have to give her 10 being the best service I have received in a long time. I couldn't tell you what the rooms look like because I was just visiting however pleasant experience and I won gambling as well all around good place I would recommend it to anyone.

1 star is being generous. This place is very out dated and not well maintained. I spent the whole stay wondering what disease I was going to contract by touching anything in the room. I arrived very late at night and had no other options, or I would have left to find another place. The pictures made it looks like a nice upscale place. Totally not the case. It is not family friendly. This is a glorified truck-stop that maybe gets a quick wipe down after each guest.

We always stop in here on our way to AZ, definitely worth taking a peek inside, they have awesome candied nuts and a ton of slots! Oooh and the bathrooms are amazing! Trust me, you'll see. You'll walk out and be like, well gosh dang that was a very fine bathroom.

If you want to get out of Vegas and do a little road excursion this is a neat place to go. We stopped in on a trip coming back from the Grand Canyon. Very nice themed casinos, store and bar. I actually sat on a comfy couch and watched a video of the Hoover dam and a video about local wildlife. I thoroughly enjoyed those videos! My mom and sister enjoyed playing slots while I relaxed and ate fudge. Had a great visit.

Spacious room. Good restaurant. Very reasonable rates. Helicopter tour leaves from the parking lot. My only complaint is that the AC wasn’t running when we got to the room. At +100 degree temps, the AC NEEDS to be on!

Staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable and views are beautiful. Staff was even able to accommodate my request to be near an exit due to anxiety issues. Would recommend and visit again.

The Lodge was lovely as usual. It is very clean and the staff was very attentive. I enjoy playing the machines there and they are fairly loose. I'm also very happy with the Security Staff. I feel safe visiting and know if I needed to be escorted to my car that it would be a pleasure to ask for assistance. More people should stop and enjoy your very nice facility. Sincerely, Sharon M.

This place looks great on the outside. Looks OK inside lobby area. The rooms are massive, almost too big. Weird layout and a lot of wasted space. Bars and restaurants do not look appealing to us. If it was not for the price and close access to hoover dam, we would not have stayed here. I'm sure they have their demographic, but it wasn't ours. We're in our 30's and I'm sure we were the youngest here by a factor of 2x. Comfortable stay never the less. Free Internet. Pool looks completely uninviting.

Great architecture, very chic and modern.
For a guided tour, however, you have to be there very early, or queue for a very long time.
Food and drinks are rather high in price, otherwise rather middle-class.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great food. A little hard to find but you'll know it when you see it. The staff on the reception were amazingly friendly. The rooms were big, clean and with gigantic beds! The restaurant was nice and the waiting staff was great. Nice souvenir shop right in the casino too with munchies and beer. Yep. A good choice!

Love stopping in The Hoover Dam Lodge. The General Store offers a free 16oz soda and had super french fries seasoned in flavors like sourcream and onion or spicy or pizza. Loads of fun gifts and trinkets to choose from too. The casino is nice to relax in and the restrooms are very clean.

Conveniently located on the Hoover Dam. Well suited to stay 1-2 nights and explore the area.

We stopped for a quick lunch. Really clean and modern decor. More than one choice in eating. We just had a quick sandwich near the novelty store. We enjoyed out short stop here on our way tho Hoover Dam.

Had breakfast at 9:30 am had do not disturb sign on door came back to room found them cleaning the room when checkout was 11am told front desk said they were sorry by did nothing about it. And this was the most expensive room they had never again will make this mistake again.

Great and very enjoyable casino. I had to give a 4 star rating because of the lack of staff. The staff that was present was very nice and helpful. However there was an issue with cashing out and being sent from one cashier stand to another for help. Waiting for an employee that did not show up regardless of what the "will be back soon" sign said LOL. The bartender was able to fix the issue with the computer after several attempts and the run around the casino. Very clean and welcoming casino. We will be back.

This is my second time popping in on my way to the Hoover Dam with friends. Both times it just stopped at the little shop to grab a corn dog and a few other things. Just like last time, the two folks working were phenomenal. They seemed kind and jovial. They really wanted to make sure that my order was right and I got everything I needed and got out quickly. 10 out of 10, will be there again.

Good hotel and nice well equipped rooms. The hotel is located next to the Hoover dam to be visited. So it's a nice step before you go to the neighboring Las Vegas. This hotel has a casino that gives it a casino atmosphere… this should not disturb those who come to visit Sin City.
The hotel is generous in gifts: water, cookies, candies and chocolate bars offered in the room.

Very nice, clean casino/hotel. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The only thing I could possibly think about was the payout machine was constantly out of service. You are able to cash out at the bar so it wasn't that much of an inconvenience. Overall Hoover Dam Lodge is a calm slower pace casino I would definitely stop again on a drive down to Las Vegas and back.

We visited this hotel while traveling to the Hoover Dam. The hotel is very close which made it convenient. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was smiling and helpful. The staff made us feel like they wanted us to be there. I gave an extra star for the staff. The hotel lobby is clean. The first floor also serves as a video casino. There are no actual table games. There is a well provisioned convenience store off the lobby. We stayed in a double-king room. It was a pleasant surprise to find a room with two kings. The room was clean but showed some wear. The lamps fastened to the wall had been moved and the old holes had been sloppily filled with drywall compound. There was a small writing desk and chair and a second chair in the room. It also had a refrigerator and a microwave. There was not a table in the room. The bathroom has a toilet/shower in its own room. The tile along the base of the shower had separated and was just resting there. The sink is outside the bathroom and was tucked into a little stall opposite the small closet. The sink was not convenient to use. The accommodations were comfortable and clean but worn and needing minor repair. The rate was reasonable. It's not an upper end hotel but certainly sufficient. I would not hesitate to stay again if in the area. As an aside: if you stay here, go somewhere else for dinner. The in-house restaurant "The Long-horn" is mediocre at best.

Can't get any closer to the dam access. Hotel has everything: convenience store, casino, restaurant and tourist shop. Beds were comfy; pillows were excellent. Rooms were very quiet. Bonus educational displays for adults and kids. Staff responsive. Room had mini fridge. Parking was monitored 24hrs for peace of mind.

This well the best is the view if you touch on 4 floor up very quiet that's very good.

Facility was very clean, modern and people were friendly, and helpful. Comments have been posted as to the need for updating — not sure where they stayed, but my room was very spacious, clean, updated with flat screen tv, coffee maker and spotless bathroom. I was pleased at our stay and will go again! If there were a negative, it would be the burger was a little rare but didn't bother me. Nice restaurant, neat gift shop and just a few minutes from the Hoover Damn or downtown Boulder City. This to me is a lost gem that people pass on their way to the bright lights of Vegas. A gem to be observed.

Nice clean older hotel. About 30 to 40 minutes from the strip. But that's what we were looking for. It's quiet and we had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The casino is small but fun. I think we did better there than downtown. Nice convient restaurant. If you are looking for someplace off and away but still offers gambling and a place to eat this is it. It's also very close to Hoover Dam. Would book again.

Should be a 0. Don't go if you are hungry. I enjoy the casino and the rooms of to the sides, but the restaurant forget it don't waste your money. Waited 30 minutes for a table, we walk in and there are more empty tables than people in the dining room. The server looked like he just got up and put clothes on from the hamper. 0 personality. We order hamburgers and 25 minutes later the food comes and they are raw and the wrong sandwich. He takes it back, 5 minutes later the food comes back and the meat is less red then started but my cheese was so cold on the burger that I could take them off with out breaking them in half. When I asked the server that I thought my burger came with BBQ sauce, his reply was sorry I wrote it down wrong. That was my third attempt and I will never eat there again.

This is a Nice hotel. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable! However, If you are looking for a hotel that offers a gambling experience this is not it. They have 4 reel slots that are $1 dollar domination. Noting higher. If you like penny video slots this is your place! If you are of that age that may require some help with your luggage, look elsewhere. Also note that the restaurant only offers sandwiches and burgers. No real food for those with diet constraints. The steak house is gone and there is nothing else around. Secondly, Your AT&T cell phone will not work here and the hotel internet is up and down every few minutes. So if you require contact with the real world you better head to Vegas. This Hotel has a very nice staff and is situated near the Hover Dam. There is a helicopter service that will take you over the Dam and Lake for as little as $39 per person. However I recommend you spend the extra for more air time. It was breath taking! All parking is outside. There is no Valet parking either. Take all valuables out and don't leave anything in the car that will melt!

It a Week day, so maybe that has something to do with it. Only a hand full of Patrons here. About 50 in all. Food was good, a bit high my thoughts, casino slots kinda tight. I dropped about 400. It took about 3 hours. Rooms are nice, but 100.00 per night. Beer is free while you play slots. Didn't see any tables here. Kinda weird there is 2 more casinos small ones inside this one. Again maybe 5 or 6 people in there. Everyone here is very pleasant. Worth a stop in.

You can get beer food and all the ball games on any TV in here. It is also an arcade with many popular games. Lots of freebies and fun! The best sports bar I have been too! The service is outstanding! It has a New Orleans stripper theme which is very eye appeasing! Love it! Come and check it out.

1st room we checked into had a t. V. That didn't work. Had to change rooms. Rooms are pretty clean with the exception of the lizard that met us in the hall this morning when we left our room.

My review is for the area where fudge is sold here. My husband and I were waiting for help to order when there was nobody else in line and three workers just stared at us without offering to assist. When we finally got attention from one of the girls she acted like she didn't see we were standing there asking for help. After we placed our order letting her know what we wanted she disappeared came back out and helped three guys who had barely walked up to the counter. Terrible customer service I will definitely never ever stay here!

Didn't stay there so could not tell you about the hotel but the dinning was very good with a friendly staff. The casino has a cozy feel with 80's music playing over the speakers and a very helpful staff that makes you feel at home.

Did not stay at lodge, just went in to see and get something to eat. The deli was at of breakfast meals at 9 except for bagel. There was not many slots but was comfortable being small. The slots were broke up in to groups not rolls. Over all it was nice.

The Hoover Dam Lodge was amazing. Such a high quality hotel. If your staying anywhere areound the Hoover Dam Lodge I recommend you stay there.

Been going here since I was a little child, back when it was still Gold Strike Inn, was even there the day before it burnt down, was sad to hear it did but continued staying there after it became Hacienda and will continue as Hoover Lodge. Love this place and always will, good rooms that are always clean, great food and great staff!

Overall, the place served as a clean place to sleep without much hassle. Nothing special, it smells a bit like smoke, probably because in the downstairs area there's a casino where smoking is allowed. The rooms are pretty standard too, it serves as a decent place to sleep.

Location was great. Easy access to hiking/biking trail that goes to Hoover Damn and Lake Mead. Rooms were ok, nothing spectacular but gets the job done. Great place to stay if you enjoy hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Casino was ok. Overall, not a bad stay.

Worth every penny. Comfortable and great food prices. Inside is several different casinos, several food choices, free coke when you gamble. Staff was very nice as well.

Want necessarily impressed with the rooms. They did not look as great as they do in the pictures. Pictures are vibrant. Rooms were a little bland. However it was perfect for our needs. Able to schedule short notice. They even have complement treats in the room.

Decent price. Room was nice and clean with a cool view. Only thing to complain about was went to the restaurant inside and it was just mediocre.

LOVED it! Comfortable, clean, great amenities, (toiletries even came with a "grooming kit" including a sewing kit, emery board, q-tips, cotton swabs… and the shampoo and conditioner were great. Even for long hair which can be a challenge when using hotel shampoos/conditioners) … Overall great experience! Would definitely stay here again!

It is an awesome place to go and visit gaming is awesome drinking is awesome nice to have. He's there nice people good service nothing to complain about a good place.

My stay wasn't bad. The Wi-Fi wasn't good. The food was. The front desk clerk was friendly but not at all helpful. Robert the security guard called me to tell me I left something behind. I didn't think I had but I said I'd be there in less than an hour. He said he would leave it at the front desk. We got there. He didn't leave it for us and left us waiting for him for almost 30 min before he brought it out. We have many hours left to drive today and waiting for what turned out to not even be our item for that long was ridiculous. Front desk clerk said he was in a meeting. I told her that's not what customer service is so she called him back a 3rd time. He was not even apologetic and neither was she when she offered to ship it to us if we paid for it! Customer service is a lost art. Pick a hotel that knows how to take care of their patrons.

Location was excellent! Only mins from hotel was Hoover Dam! Nice and clean with friendly staff. Only downside was airconditioning couldn't keep up with the heat. It took the room over night to cool down and the hallway was still hot the next day especially by the elevator. Overall we really liked it for our 1 night stay.

Nice hotel with its own casino. The Casino is not crowded and has many slot machines.
The shop is surprisingly cheap and also the restaurant sold cheap burgers and breakfast.

Hotel rooms nice 4/5 Restaurant 1/5. Waitress was skiddish and didn't seem to know what she was doing AT ALL. Had to come back to confirm what I ordered then never came back for the check. Turns out she left. $0 tip was almost wanting to walk out and not pay at all. Nobody corrected the mistake for a good 30+ minutes.

Great location for a visit to Lake Mead; there's a bike trail from the hotel's parking lot to Lake Mead. Nice, clean room. Casino and convenience store in the lobby and restaurant on the premises. It has a beautiful view of the Lake but is on the side of a highway — no walking to anywhere except to the Lake.

This used to be a taste of days gone by but it has been updated. No more table games all electronic. The place was OK though. Wi-Fi worked, staff was friendly, close the Hoover Dam.

Good hotel with great location. Wi-Fi but a disaster, TV reception, no HBO.

Rooms were pretty clean, beds felt a little small. Room was a bit lackluster as far as furniture was concerned, there was large empty areas in it. Ate at one of the restaurants downstairs, nothing special there. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Wifi barely worked 90% of the time. Pretty average experience.

Clean well-stocked room, spacious, more than sufficient toiletries available. Entire downstairs lobby /casino /shopping areas like new, clean, no smoky smell at all. Definitely will repeat when I need to be in the area again.

Very clean rooms only downside is there are these nice TV'S in the room but most of the channels were fuzzy and very poor quality. Surprisingly no HBO or other movie network. Cleaning staff very patient and kind.

The rooms were great, food was OK and the atmosphere was nice. The BIG problem with this hotel is the cleaning staff. We left the hotel late morning after a business trip and accidentally left my two dresses and sweater hanging in the closet. We immediately called the hotel when we found out they were missing the next morning. The hotel told us that housekeeping cleaned it and they didn't have anyone staying in the room after us, but no one found my clothes. The girl at the desk said she would check. 5 minutes later she called back and said she had checked (a hotel with hundreds of room and many staff members) and no one had seen my clothes. She said, "Sorry" and wasn't willing to help me any further or take my number to call back. My husband called the following day and didn't get anywhere with them. I would not recommend this hotel as their cleaning staff has issues with stealing the hotel guests items when you leave them behind — especially expensive dresses.

My wife and I attended the Kid 'N Nic show on 12-4-15. The room was great very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We hope you have more music shows in the future. Hope to see you again soon.

Food wasn't bad, but expensive for what you ordered. The old Hacienda and even the previous Gold Strike blew this place out of the water! The gift shop, oh man, you better have a lot of money to go in there too! In my opinion it's pretty much ruined compared the family restaurant and souvenir shop that was once there when the predecessors were there. I guess that's progress for you going in the wrong direction like usual in Nevada hospitality! I know I'll never come back for sure!

Unbelievable… really I cannot believe what happened to the this place. This is the worst renovation of a casino I have ever experienced. This is no longer a casino but rather a Chuck e Cheese for truckers with no table games, only video casino games that pay out out in ridiculous prizes from the prize counter… Are you serious!?!? Don't be fooled like I was booking a room here. NOT a Casino. They made me BUY ice for my room. The food was horrible and service just as bad. I have moved my travel stop to the Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino with real food and games… (still in disbelief…) I have visited this casino every year, twice a year for 10 years and will not return.

Who brings their own food to a restaurant casino? More than 4 ppl to a room? Im surprised you didn't sleep in your car! But then where would the crockpot go? Eh?

They upgraded our room when we asked for extra beds, and the food was amazing! The fish tacos and salmon were delish! Plenty of parking for our boat. Lake Mead was warm, clean, and beautiful! We plan to return annually!

Big clean rooms. Very reasonably price. Better than the Internet pricing.

For the price, we had a great experience. The lack of a bathtub did not bother us. The carpet in the elevator and halls are dated, but the room was huge and clean. The unexpected surprise was the cafeteria. They seated us late at night when other places were already closed and the food was really good. We ate there for breakfast again and the food was equally as good. Thanks.

We had to sit and watch the staff eat while we were ignored. There loss, found a great restaurant just a few min down the road. You don't have to deal with the place. Keep driving.

I only gave this hotel 3 stars because we were allowed to fit more than 4 people in a room saving on another room they allowed us to cancel. The swimming pool was great for everyone and the front counter staff was great. We didn't eat there because we brought our own food to save money for other things. Would I stay here again, not if I found a better deal. This hotel has it's issues, no bath as someone pointed out and nothing to do unless you travel which is hard to do because parking isn't free unless you know where to find it. The front desk was always crowded and they should have added someone else. They have clean rooms but like I said, if there was a better option I would take it.

The worst experience ever. We stopped for the first time thinking we'd have lunch and look around the casino. The restaurant was un-manned at the entrance and after waiting around a woman came up and informed us it would be a 30 minute wait. I said ok, and can you add our name to the list. She informed me they didn't take names and it was first come first serve. And if I wanted to stand around they'd takes us at first chance. There were no chairs to sit in while waiting. I'd like to add… the restaurant was half empty. We said thanks, but no thanks. We decided to just get a hotdog at the deli counter. No one was behind the counter when we got there. Finally a woman came up and took our hotdog order and then left the area, no explanation. We were left standing there. Another woman came up ad asked if we'd been helped and we said we were waiting on hotdogs. She replied the other lady was working on it. She'd gone to get some hotdogs from the backroom and they would cook them up for us as soon as she returned. Again thanks but no thanks. We couldn't even buy a soda, because no one was at the checkout register. Really bad customer service. We were traveling and hungry. This was our first time and will be our last at your facility. The manager needs to get involved with the customer needs and provide employees that care enough about their job to do it. We went into Boulder City and ate there.

A very bad experience. I recommend this place to my friends from Chicago. Never having seen the rooms I asked to go up with them. What a surprise no dressers or place to put folded clothes. I checked with the front desk to complain and was told "tell your friends if they want a dresser that have to upgrade to a deluxe room". The lady at the front desk was rude and inconsiderate of my friends needs. I live a few minutes from this hotel and will never go there or recommend to anyone. There are to many nicer places in Boulder City.

It's been great, the ladies that checked us in were very helpful and kind. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was our TV'S sound was muffled : — (and no bathtub just a shower, but the room was very clean.

Clean rooms. Nice staff. The casino smells of smoke but the rooms do not. We also stopped in the cafe for breakfast on the way out and got the specials. Very cheap food prices. The food was okay. The coffee tasted like dirt. The price was huhher than advertised on the sign but after 2 days on the road this was a nice place to stay for the night on our way to Vegas.

My wife and I have stayed at this motel several times in the past, with good experiences, and enjoying their lower rates. However, now that they're owned by a different company, the Hacienda does not offering AAA or AARP rates, we will no longer being staying at this Motel. There are many more motels in Las Vegas that do offer these rates and are of better quality. My suggestion would be to shop around.

We have been members at this hotel and casino we loved to come and play here but now The Hacienda is under new management and things are not the same we used to get a free room with our cdl, but not anymore they have taken this and many incentives away. We had to scan our bank card plus leave a cash deposit to get a room the room rate was not that high it was just the point that we felt like our account was being checked to see if we have money, we will not be visiting The Hacienda again. We will be staying at Railroad Pass.

This used to be a decent place to stay. Now room speak wise, if ur in the newer tower its good. But the older rooms suck. Their front desk clerks are very friendly but the hotel provides NOTHING. There's signs that advertise carry-out/ room service and they don't. Ice machine didn't work. Won't be staying here again.
