Many of my coworkers and I stayed for a work event. The room was clean and comfortable, and every employee I interacted with was very nice and professional. However, I did have some issues. The other guests in my hallway were quite loud — — in fact, the people staying next to me kept trying to open the connecting door between our rooms and yelling at one another (they were drunk). Everyone was quiet by 11pm (this was a weeknight), but by 3 or 4 am, there were people in the hallway knocking on doors and giggling loudly. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls/doors, even regular conversations in the room next door. Even with the fan on in my room and a noise-cancelling app on my phone by the bed, it was impossible to sleep. We stayed across the street at Hotel Indigo last time, and I didn't hear anything from any other rooms — — no talking, no flushing toilets/showers, etc. I don't blame the hotel staff at all for my issues, and I don't think there is anything they could have done about it if I'd said something. The people were not so obnoxious that I felt I should complain because most of the time, it was just normal conversation in the other room/hallway that happened to carry due to the structure of the building/doors. Yes, it's a hotel and many people stay here, but I would like to get a few hours of undisturbed sleep when I've driven 3 hours and attended a conference all day. If I hadn't had such a pleasant experience at the other hotel a month ago, I don't think I'd have been so critical of the noise level.
