Realy old room was dirty looked like something out of a CSI episode.

There was a drug deal gone bad fight and one guy attempted to throw the other off the balcony and we did not want to stay manager on duty agreed to refund our money but after several contacts refuses to. This is a dump and poorly managed!

Very friendly staff, quick to fix anything that's not working.

NO, just do not do it!. Dirty. TV does not work. There was a bad of fecal matter and sheets outside one of the doors. Flies were everywhere. The worst hotel I ever stayed at. The last one on a weeks travel home.

DON'T SAY THERE! Rooms smell like the many pets that have stayed there. Wifi is non-existant. Seedy area and those roaming the parking lot at all hours made me want to stay up to keep an eye on my vehicle. Water pressure in the shower was a dribble at best. Young man handling check in at 6:30pm may as well have been a robot. If you just need a place to lay down and nothing else… tilt your seat back and sleep in your vehicle. You'll be better off.

First night we went to check in for a week heavy set lady sent new worker on her first night to show us our room way in the back of the motel then the door didn't even open. Mindful, it's 2am in the morning and as we finally got our room that wasn't a double bed what we asked for we had myself my husband and our two babies and our great Dane we were exhausted so we settled for what we got which was very horrible they had a bunch people outside hookers in the parking lot people digging in the trash begging for cigarettes the night staff is VERY rude! Not to mention the dirty pillows and carpets will never recommend this place to anyone who likes to be clean even my dog was discussed.

I’ve seen a lot of good reviews about the staff, however I am unable to share the sentiment. I’ve also seen negative comments about the condition of the rooms. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to find that out. It was very late when I arrived, as I have been driving and wanted to cover a good bit of ground. So I pulled up looking to rest for a few hours. The employee appeared either drunk or high as he stumbled to the counter. Then, because it was so close to the next hotel day, the employee refused to let me book a room. I thought the point of 24 hour hotels were to allow travelers to stop when they are tired and need a break from the road. I guess this doesn’t apply if the employee decides he doesn’t feel like doing his job. I guess I will tiredly drive on and hope for the best.

I put 1 star because you have to, but I give it 0. Very very dirty. Asked for a non smoking room and it had very obviously been smoked in. The bed sheets had cigarette burns and stains all over them, the chairs were filthy. Very sketchy men hanging out outside my room. I didn't feel safe so I left without a refund and gladly paid for another hotel somewhere else. You get what you pay for. Never again.

The worst hotel ever. They had trash under the bed. They had holes in the wall. The room smelled of mole when you enter it. They didn't have any housekeepers. The outside of the hotel smelled of alcohol and was trashing. The shower length of water. I will never go there again.

I had an amazing stay, warm shower after rough day was amazing, customer service is just wow. Whataburger, gas station and Waffle House is just at the walking distance, what else can I ask for. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

This is my 7 time stay there. They have friendly Staff and very convenient location by I-10 and N University Ave. Rooms are very clean and great service. Definitely would recommend this place.

Stayed one night with my kids. The motel is quite dated but immaculately clean. The owner and manager Edna is so friendly and helpful a perfect host. The towels and toiletries were luxurious. Excellent place to stay.

Ι нανє α кι∂ тнєяє, and that is the nastest, cockroach infested inn I have ever seen. Im in a wheel chair, she had to carry me up 2 flites of stairs where they had no wheelchair access. Thats just sad…

The worst place I have ever been in — and at over $80 for a night, but we didn’t want to fight for $$ back and try someplace else. First room was ridiculous — cupboard door shattered and lights for bathroom. Nor sink area would even turn on — filthy looking. We asked for a different room — at least the lights worked, it TV wouldn’t even turn on after following typed instructions — turns out, cable was cut and ripped out of back of TV — reported it to them this morning on our way out! I highly recommend avoiding this place in your travels!

To avoid the Saturday night high $250 room rate of the major casinos in Lake Charles & Kinder, we booked a room at the Red Roof Inn in Lafayette for $42. It is near where my NIHS Luncheon will be on Sunday. Amenities are limited. The inn provides the very basics: soap, shampoo, towels, etc. What I liked, kleenex rather than in a dispenser box is a small individual pack. To use or take with you. Strong, hot good coffee can be retrieved from the Office. Breakfast is not included. There is a Waffle House and many fast food restaurants nearby. All within walking distance but recommend driving to them since there are no connecting sidewalks. Beds were comfortable. We slept well. Most of the staff were friendly & helpful except one night clerk who was more interested in his personal comforts & concerns. Any night of week, we would stay here at this location over much higher priced hotels in the $80-150 range. Take a look yourself & see if Red Roof Inn meets your needs. Update 2d visit. Found facilities not as clean especially stairway & railing. Wi-Fi offered but remained unreliable. Coffee machine in office broken so no coffee was offered. Rate increased $20. My previous recommendation withdrawn. Find another comparable and better hotel.

Had to ask for my money back and leave. Fith wheel in parking lot running generator and a pit bull. Strange people walking around. No smoke dector in the room. Stay away.

I will say I've stayed at better red roofs and of course I have stayed at a lit worse. The best thing at this property is there manager. Ms. Edna I think if I remember correctly. The sweetest woman. However my thoughts are that no matter how the points work it should be in the name of person who stayed in rooms. There needs to be more security on property. For my door almost was kicked in due to an addict wanting shelter. Thinking he was at correct room. The police had to be called by me front desk clerk refused to call them and then she said that since I called them I should check out immediately. I did not do so till the next morning. Then I was ask to come to back. Well those things are totally not ok. But with Edna at the head of property she's got it going on. I'm currently working with her on the two days missing. Points I'm hoping that's worked out today.

A little mix up in our rooms. But the manager more than compensated us for it. All in all it was a nice place.

I think when you reserve a room with a kitchenette, it would come with a fridge, microwave, or something to cook in. Nope. Towels feel like sandpaper, no ashtray in the smoking room, broken chair, poor water system, toilet doesn't flush. All I wanted was a decent place to relax for my 34 hour reset and got a headache instead. Pass!

Very clean and smoothly ran hotel, as far as rooms and management. Some staff members act as if they own the hotel.

Absolutely disgusting. By far one of the nastiest ran down places that I've stayed in. Sheets have stains and holes box spring mattress skirt completely torn to pieces. Walls are filthy and full of marks. Broken fixtures. In dire need of new paint everywhere. Holes in walls. Dirty mirror. Dirty faucets. Extremely dirty bathtub. Shower curtain full of mold. Honestly this place is a health and safety hazard. You should avoid it at all costs.

We were a repeat customer. The first time we stayed it was a 4.5 to 5 star stay. They had little quirks, but still a nice stay. We came back and this stay was not so nice. First room they gave us had half the lights working, the second upgraded room the a/c didn't work right. The third room was ok but having doubts about comkng back. And try not to ask for extra towels the cleaning person acts like it coming out of his check.

An absolute dump. Laundry wasn't working, the Wi-Fi is so bad as to be unusable, the room smelled, only coffee in the morning, the lock on my door was broken… It took several tries to shut the door from inside or outside. I asked the humorless clerk if there were *any* amenities, and she said "television". They had pre-printed instructions on how to use the TV (it was ridiculous that you couldn't just hit the ON button on the remote). The door to my room looked like it had been pried open. There were black footprints in the inside of my door. The shower had plenty of hot water, but absolutely no pressure. When I went to check out, there was a sign on the door that said "back in 5 minutes". Fifteen minutes after I got there (who knows how long it was closed before I got there), a car pulls up and out comes the front desk clerk. I got charged for the safe in the room even though I didn't use it, nor was I given the combination. I cannot believe my job put me up there. I cannot stress strongly enough about how you should avoid this flophouse. Oh. No refrigerator or microwave. All this luxury cost my company $40. If I was paying, I would have walked out. I could have stayed somewhere else, but I've been burned by "being reimbursed" by my company before. Stay away.

We booked a non-smoking room and were placed in a room that reeked of smoke and the lights didn't work. The 2nd room we were issued the keys didn't work. With the 3rd room the key worked the first time we used it but never again. Thank God we only stayed one night.

When I first came into the room, I saw how the cable setup for the TV was rigged and couldn't stand it. So I rerouted it for them nicely underneath the drawers :)

Came in late. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice. Very happy.

No stars! We were given room key to an occupied room at check-in and walked right in. The same thing happened to people that checked in behind us. Definitely disturbing! Many things were broken in our room without resolve. We will definitely not be staying at this location ever again!

Not necessarily the best hotel around this area. The lights in the room weren't working and the room reeked of mildew. Apart from that we were pretty satisfied.

1st room had ac not working properly. The inside was so humid that the floors were wet in front of the sink. Because of the moisture and humidity, the place smelled moldy They did put me in a better room but still had problems. The security bar on the door was broken, the TV didn't work correctly. I did not feel safe because there was people walking around on the inside and in the parking lot. The employees were very nice but the place is a dump. I travel all over the country and have stayed in some questionable places but this was by far the worst. Generally I like red roof Inn but somebody needs to do something about this and get your name off of the sign or bulldoze It.

In need of actual upkeep also the bathroom dirty and slick with residue. Actually I wouldn't even post a review if it wasn't for not being able to switch to a smoking room … I was told that I can't switch because I've been checked in for longer than 15 minutes. Oh and the clock isn't set, TV cables either not plugged in completely or just half way, Wi-Fi signal is week even tho im mid complex, and I don't understand why but the laminated info/menu needs to be whiped clean of these numerous smudges. But ya get two stars because the odor isn't too bad and I can order something to eat from a pizza place I've never experienced before. Hungry howies.

This is travelers economic gem! Just north of Layfette very clean rooms good hospitality and unbelievably low prices. I recommend this place highly.

This place is a dump. Filthy room. Sheets have holes in them. Toe nail clippings from previous guest on the counter top. Piss all over toilet. If I hadn't booked with a non-refundable charge, I would not have stayed there. The only good aspect was the staff was friendly, and helpful.

The security lock was broken on several of our room doors. Dresser drawers were broken. Light fixtures were broken. A needle was found under a mattress in one of our rooms. A burger had been left in one of the microwaves. Rat poop was found under a mattress in one of our other rooms. One person in our party was issued a room key. When they opened their door they found that the room was already occupied by someone else. Some of us couldn't call the front desk because the phones did not work in several of the rooms. We had to walk there and it was cold outside. I bought a bottle of water from the vending machine which cost TWO DOLLARS and was hotter than the water you buy off of the shelf in grocery stores. The shower water still ran cold after running it for 5 to 10 minutes. Upon notifying the front desk clerk I was advised to wait a little while because so many people were using the water at the same time. Understandable. She assured me it would heat up again. Well I waited and waited because each time I tried, the water was still cold. I woke up at 4:15am to enjoy a hot shower only to find, after FIFTEEN MINUTES of letting the water run, it was still ICE COLD! I reported the situation with the water to the front desk to a different lady. She said she would tell management at EIGHT O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. I told her we would be gone by then. She was so nonchalant. Her attitude and demeanor clearly read. "Ok". never, ever again!

Stayed here overnight with priceline express deal. It was rated a 2 star. This place is a dump at best stay away if possible. We were in room 103 The place was filthy dirty wall had a punch in hole lights did not all work. Dresser I would not put my cloths in. We never used the shower which was full of mold. We only walked in the room with our shoes on. If I had a pet which I don't I would have left the pet in the car for safety. I have stayed at other Red Roof inn's in the past I must say this is by far the worst. We took pictures but this site don't offer uploads. The best part of our stay is that we get to leave now.

Felt like I was in a Breaking Bad scene. The Crossroads Motel! Linens were stained or dirty and the security latch was missing and broken. Door had obviously been kicked in at some point in the past! Wasn't sure if I should expect the cops or a crackhead at my door?!

Well if you like crackheads prostitutes drug dealers then this would be a great place for you to stay at otherwise I'd recommend staying somewhere else.

Lady at front desk is such a rude person! She closed the door while we were washing. That lady need an attitude check because it just doesn't cut it for customer service. Don't even come here such a waste of money! DO NOT RECOMMEND SO UNHAPPY WITH THEIR MANAGEMENT.

This was by far the worst stay EVER! They had to move my room on the first night because we found what look to be rat dropping behind the bathroom door. I should have just left but I was tired, had been driving all day and hoped it was just a little dirt. They have nothing in the rooms, no mini refrigerator or microwave. The next night some beady eyed drunk knocks on my door at 1:30 a. M. I tell the guy wrong room and he looks at me grinds his teeth and continues to try to open the door. Didn't want to end up on the morning news cause he decided to eat my face. I called the cops and hauled my axx. Front desk told me she couldn't refund my money and I would have to wait to speak to the manager on Monday! They can keep it… If you love your life and don't want your face eaten by some random, crazy, bath salt smoking drunk… Find another place to stay.

Very rude staff. Seedy hotel. Won't refund unless a manager is present. TV did not work. Sheets stink. Door latch is broken. Safety is an issue. Several people have approached me to ask if I would buy things from them. This place is a dump and I highly recommended you don't stop here and keep driving. Never again!

I highly recommend the rooms with the two double beds. They're the same price but there's just no comparison in quality. The doubles have all the amenities you could ask for and are very nice. Better than rooms I've been in at twice the price. The king rooms are about what you'd expect for the price. Not even a coffee maker!

Definitely not coming back again. The lady who was the Night Audit had no sense of urgency when it came to checking us in. Other than that the service was nice and the staff were friendly. The room was dirty. They had stains on the sheets, blonde hair in the bed, and the carpet needed vacuuming, the bath tub had a brown stain, the refrigerator had a rusty brown color on the inside towards the back. The toilet wasn't flushed from the previous guests. Smelled like smoke and I asked for a non-smoking room. Some serious project dusting needs to be done, there were fingerprints on the cabinets, the A/C has a bad odor, and needs to be dusted. The bottom of the bed on the four legs are all rusty. Gross.

Best place to stay in Lafayette for the price! Nice, clean, cozy rooms (not too small at all! ) and the staff goes above and beyond to be hospitable. I loved the kitchenettes.

Needed a pet friendly place for two small dogs after along drive so we stopped here and I met a lady "working" for two men she asked if I could give her money and then I went to the ice machine and there was a sleeping lady with her legs spread wide open and NO panties on! Not to mention the ice machine didn't work. The next morning I was in a hurry to get the hell out of there but I had dropped my phone and accidentally kicked it under the bed and I found a used condom and a dirty needle! Defenitly not kid nor pet friendly!

For the price, it was a great value, really excellent for a low-budget, short, over-night stop.

2 stars is appropriate. Cheap is good. Stained sheets is bad. One of the pillows had a burnt mark. A cigarette maybe? The room smells like old drapes and chlorine mixed together. At least my dog was allowed. I also found a box of condoms right in front of my room. And a bag of trash just thrown in front of another person's room. We also had a strange knock on our door in the middle of the. Night.

My first clue should have been the used syringe in the parking lot, or possibly the octogenarian hooker who propositioned me outside my door, but I stayed anyway. There were bobbie pins on the carpet indicating that the room was not vacuumed and change on the bedside table proving the surfaces had not been wiped down, but the sheets were clean and there was no odor in the room. Quiet nights sleep followed by police cars coming in from every direction in the morning. Don't know what that was all about and don't care. Beware.

THE WORST! Tub was dirty. The picture off the wall. Towels had stains. Bed had springs poking out. Security lock was broke. Crackheads knocking at the door. Staff was rude. Never again.

I've stayed here a few times on business and each time the owner has parked in the Handicap space to save him 10 feet. My son is handicapped and I've experienced the frustration of looking for a handicap space. How lazy are you to save yourself 10 feet of walking.

Had another week stay, once again the accommodations were fantastic! Room was very clean, staff pleasant as always and dog friendly! Thanks to the owners and staff for making my stay great.

Stayed one night, a bit run down but hot shower and warm bed. Large TV, nice desk and somewhat clean. Wifi was fast and staff was courteous. Typical sub $75 motel.
