The staff were very rude and resistant to help. 1) We were told we would have a room with a view of the lake; unfortunately this does not even exist in the Avila suites. 2) When we called to inquire about a few amenities in the rooms to know how to pack for food, cooking utensils, etc. We were treated as though we were wasting their time; wish I had simply cancelled the reservations then. 3) When we checked in we reiterated that we needed cooking supplies for our two suites and were assured that we were good to go. When we got to the room, no such supplies (pans, plates, utensils, etc. After calling two more times, they brought them right up (4 hours later). 4) We rented a boat and asked if we could dock it for a few hours while we ate in their on-site restaurant. We were told to park in one very specific spot. After we parked, we were told to move to an adjacent spot due to a lack of communication. 5) Never eat at HK's! We spent on average $60 per person to eat mediocre cold food and waited for ~60 minutes for our checks (after a very long wait for our drinks and food despite the fact that there was only 1-2 other tables). The checks were incorrectly printed, and the system crashed while they were reprinting. Instead of trying to accommodate our needs any other way, the manager decided it was appropriate to simply write our card numbers with their expiration dates on the receipt to run them at a later time. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told that 'she was too busy to come to our table at the moment'. When we tried to speak to any manager on duty that evening we were simply told to come back the next day to speak with Justin Taylor, who conveniently doesn't arrive to work until around check-out time. I will not attend this, so called, resort in the future.
