Wonderful night stay! Our room was beautifully decorated. The room was spacious and quiet. My husband and I sat on the balcony and watched the coming and going on Main Street. The owners of this beautiful place was the finest in Mississippi hospitality! We WILL BE back!

Very cute and quaint hotel with helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful spaces, great service!

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever experienced. The lady up front doesn't stay overnight and gave me her cell phone. She said if I needed anything to call. I had no hot water and when I called I got no answer. She only called me back later In the day when I checked out. The hallways were like a sauna and I thought the building was going to collapse. The lady working up front also took nearly an hour to check me in which is rediculous. I would highly advise against staying here. HORRIBLE hotel and even worse customer service.

Our stay was fabulous! We took a walk around town and thoroughly enjoyed the shops nearby, the food and the architecture… It was a great weekend!

Main Street Hotel in Yazoo City is a spectacular place! Each room is unique and decorated with antiques, claw-foot tubs, fine and colorful linens, etc. The suites are perfect for extended stay including a full kitchen and washer & dryer. The hotel is also great for events. Their No Smoking Smokehouse is the perfect venue for anything from birthday parties to wedding reception or showers. A+++

Colorful on the outside, funky, creative remodel on the inside, but I don't know how this even merits two stars because my room has no windows and no hot water. The woman who runs the place is charming, but for some reason had us access our rooms from the sketchy alley. A rickety stair leads up to the second floor where there is a door that opens into a hallway, except to get into the hallway you have to squeeze into the alcove next to the first room, close the door, then walk around (the door should be rehung to swing the other way). When we arrived, the hallway was sweltering. An exhaust fan whirred mightily trying to suck the hot air out, but there was little wonder at why it was so hot in the hallway when I discovered that each room's air-conditioning unit vented into the hallway! Four (or more? ) air-conditioning units pumping hot air into the hotel corridor is bizarre at best, and I wonder how it possibly meets building code?! The good news is that they did keep the rooms cool. So, back to the access: it turned out there is a stair at the front which leads right down to Main Street where there is plenty of parking. Once I discovered that, I parked on Main Street and came in through the front of the building where the stairs are much easier to use.

The Main Street Hotel in historic downtown Yazoo City is absolutely gorgeous. Customer service is outstanding. And, their No Smoking Smokehouse is a great space for any type of event. Love it!

We took a short girls road trip and stayed a night in the hotel. Liked our room! It was neat, clean and colorful! Loved the way everyone took pride in their town. Everyone was really friendly. We shopped up and down the street, had a great steak at rib eyes then sat on the balcony!

My husband & me drove 4 hrs. To go shopping at yazoo city, one Saturday only to find all but one bakery that was closing when we got there at 1:00 pm a thrift store &, one other shop open, nothing open to eat lunch, we was there maybe an hour &-half, will not make that mistake again, got a place trying to get started up again, you would think they would be open on the weekend when more people has time to shop.

Being originally from Yazoo, I grew up next to the old downtown area. It was amazing to see what has been done to the old buildings. Our room was above the old pool hall establishment (Soots Smoke House) or something close to that). The decor in the room was best described as eclectic. They allowed us to peak in some of the other rooms and they each had individual themes. The inn keeper had the room supplied with ice for our cocktails. The high ceilings and antique bathtub reminded me of our house as a kid. It was a very relaxing stay full of nostalgia. Saturday night we walked to a local bar on Main Street and ran into some old friends. What a great place to take in the revitalized downtown area. I recommend the Main St hotel to anyone looking for a unique stay at a historical delta locale. Well done Mr & Mrs Adams, well done! I'll be back again and again.
