. I was so appalled with the level of service at this hotel and have contracted viral conjunctivitis and this is the only place that I could have contracted it. We checked out yesterday morning, 6/10/18. As I stated earlier in my verbal report, there were many flaws with this hotel, which include, but not limited too: 1) Had to call front desk for toilet paper (there was literally 4 squares on the roll when we arrived on Friday, June 8, 2018. 2) We had to request more towels, we requested 3-4 towels, but we were told that we could only have 2. 3) One of the towels in the room to use as a shower mat had dirt on both sides. It was disgusting. 4) The beds were not properly made. a) One of the beds had a fitted sheet, a blanket and a comforter b) And the other bed had a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and comforter 5) The pool was part of the attraction on the website, but it was abysmal. It was not in working order. 6) There were cockroaches in the hallways and stairwells. 7) The front office smelled of curry. 8) The hallways smelled like burnt rubber. 9) The outdoor stairwell in the parking lot was used as a dumping grounds for what appeared to be trash and other building materials. 10) Lights in the hallways and stair wells were not on — we had to use our phones as flashlights to safely travel the halls. 11) Ice maker and vending machines were out of order.

Not a 4 star hotel, the rating is based on what is expected. The price was very reasonable, the room was clean and the service was very kind. There was a personal attention to detail by the owners. A modern renovation, typical of Motel 6, brings in laminate floors and bright colors to the room.

I have stayed at this motel before it was Motel 6, for many years. The improvements are wonderful and I will continue to stay there in the future. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and cheerful. My only complaint might be the Wi-Fi in the rooms. It was too weak for me to use my computer. It probably works fine in the lobby, but I like to work in my room.

The manager was really friendly, great staff! The rooms were kept very clean and the beds were also extremely comfortable. Also rooms were affordable! I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting. Keep up the good work!

The man attempting to check me in tonight was so bad. He asked if I had a dog, I said I did. He said if it barks one time, I'll kick you out and no refund. I said can you please give me something on the first floor, he said on the back side upstairs. I said on the second floor he said no on the first floor upstairs. He said once I run your credit card, no refund. He had over half the hotel vacant and he sat there watching people go by because he was such a miserable old grump. Shame on him for being such a poor, Rude, mean owner. He probably lost a lot of business tonight because all of the other hotels in this town were booked, and he had plenty of vacancies.

Great for a budget motel! The manager was really friendly and even made coffee for me. This is a no — frills motel with no trouser press or Gideons' Bible, but the room was clean and the bed was made. Bathroom likewise clean. There's a very large flat screen television with cable television, a fridge, and microwave oven. The laminated floor was not as warm as carpet, but at least it was clean, and you could see it was clean. I'd stay there again. The one bad point was some noisy guests who started shouting at 5:30 a. M. And disturbed my sleep. Not the motel's fault, but annoying, nonetheless.

Urine all down the front of the toilet, bed hard as a rock, blood stains on sheet, burn wholes in blanket, someone tried to kick in a door down the hall at 1230 in the morning, I locked my dead bolt before bed and it was unlocked in the morning! camera on the TV that I covered and heard fumbling next door when I did. This was by far the scariest motel I've stayed in in my life. Paid for 2 nights and left at 9am and went elsewhere and paid more money to feel safe. I was honestly scared for my daughter and i. Man running the place seemed overly eager and there was not a computer at the desk. He used a tablet and took a photo of my DL with it. Now I'm concerned of identity theft. The whole thing was sketchy! Would NEVER recommend nor go back. I was afraid they were trafficking people or something.

I stayed there for a week the room or bathroom was never cleaned and also the toilet was BROKEN! I never got any new towels I had to go and ask for more and also called the person at the front desk and they said that if you don’t call that the room is dirty they will not come and clean the room there is not an option for ZERO stars or else I would put that instead of ONE star.

Good prices comfy bed. Did not enjoy the cigarette smoke. Just about knock me over when I unlock the door. Only thing I can figure it must have been somebody in housekeeping.

Room was ok, but floor was dirty and someone literally cleaned the toilet just prior to our arrival as there was water on the floor in front of the toilet and cleaned still in the toilet. Ice covered entrance. We told the guy at the lobby about the slippery engrave and he blew us off. The bed was as hard as a rock. There were barely enough towels. No plastic cups in the room. Lots of noise as there is a very active train track right behind the hotel. The pro's were cheap price, lots of TV channels, fridge and microwave in room.

This Motel 6 is not the newest or the fanciest, but the rooms are clean, the internet is fast, and it has something no other motel in town has: it has Larry. I have stayed here before, and the manager, Larry, was a deciding factor in booking here again. He is efficient, friendly, and truly cares about his guests — and that is priceless. I Motel 6, you are lucky to have him.

The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful and polite. He helped me carry our bags down the stairs and to our car. I need ice for the cooler, he helped fill the cooler and carried it to the car for me. I thanked him for helping us. He replied to me "I help all of my customers. " We have been traveling for 5 weeks and I can honestly say he showed the most pride in his work and ownership of this location. Wish I could remember his name — I do know he owns this location).

This place doesn't rate one star. On Sept 3 I made a reservation for Saturday Sept 9th and my credit card was billed. A couple days later received a call from clerk that was card to communicate with due to heavy Indian accent. He asked what time I would be arriving. I told him Sometime Saturday as I didn't have an exact time. I wouldn't have made the reservation at Motel 6 had there been anything else available. The town had a Classical Carriage event going on and Every placed was booked. I did get a room at one hotel for Friday night and had to settle for Motel 6. Upon arrival at Motel 6, was told I had no reservation and showed me a pencil and paper listing of guests. I argued and demanded a refund. I called a someone (assuming owner) and I told him I wanted refund and he said no as my reservations were for the past week. I suspect clerk screwed up and wasn't man enough to admit it but will never know. I would not advise or recommend anyone do business with this motel.

3 day stay. No hot water. Room never cleaned. Bedding wasnt changed until we demanded it. No heat. No blankets. Toilet ran the entire time. Filthy, no front desk support.

Loved this cute, clean and stylish motel. I was greeted by name as I came in. I was laughing wondering how they knew who I was. Based on my notes for check-in time, he knew it was me. Friendly as could be. Room was a minimalist dream and very stylish. Loved the big fridge. My only suggestion would be to add shampoo and conditioner to bathroom as most travelers expect that now and don't carry their own.

Booked room 2 weeks in advance using motel6 website. Received a call one hour prior saying no room. I checked web… rooms were available on the web site. After some discussion we were given a room. Hallway leading to room was very dirty. Room had cobwebs, stained floors, holes in the walls and door, curtains were hung slanted across the window. It was not the newly rennovated motel that the description offered. Front desk kept telling me that I would not be charged more… for what? I had reserved the room I wanted and was told the price at that time. This stay was a bad experience for us.

Me Patel was warm and welcoming. He checked me and carried my bags back to my room. The air wasn't working and he promptly fixed it. The room itself left a lot to be desired. It had fresh paint and was clean. It the bedding was not comfortable. And towels were just plain worn out and tattered.

I look for a clean, comfortable, no frills room when I book with Motel 6. This Motel 6 property came up a little short. The sink faucet didn't work (max output was a trickle), the bathroom could have been cleaner, and oddly, I had a desk and table but no chair in my room. Also the part of the hotel I was in (toward the back) seemed kind of dingy but I could see they had just painted the hallway walls so maybe I just came while they were still working on things. Lastly, I was told at check in that there would be an extra charge for my pet. One of the reasons I like Motel 6 is that they are pet friendly for no extra charge; the policy on the Motel 6 web page says pets stay free so the extra charge surprised me. On the up side, the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, and the staff were polite and helpful. I was only staying one night and didn't ask them to fix the faucet — I'm sure they would have if I'd asked. (this review was edited to be more balanced, since my first comments were made in a hurry and did not reflect the good parts of the stay)

Third year we have stayed. Gets better every time. "Larry" is such a gracious host, ever pleasant and helpful. With sadness we learnt he will be leaving for another challenge. He will be missed. Clean rooms, helpful staff. I recommend this hotel but be warned trains do travel at night as well. Handy for night life with "bar car" available on request.

The desk manager was very friendly and helpful. We had a couple problems with the room which I reported to him the next morning and he was very apologetic and thanked me for letting him know so they could be fixed. We could not get hot water in the sink and the toilet ran off and on during the night and took a long time to fill up after flush. We still liked our room very much, comfortable beds and very clean and just what we needed for a nights sleep. Remodel is nice.

Front desk personnel was very nice. Outside of hotel is in the process of being remodeled so it doesn't look very nice at all. But rooms (at least mine) was very clean and recently updated (obvious with paint smell) bed was ok little stiff for my taste but still decent. Pillow cases had stains on them although they were clean (smell of bleach). No plugs at all near the computer desk?! So you'll need an extra long cord. I don't like the cheap plastic flooring needs carpet in my opinion. Could also use a decent chair to relax in definitely room for something. But over all yes I'd stay here again nice place with decent surroundings and cheap enough to save money compared to other hotels.

Owner is always very kind and supportive everytime I stay. Newly remodeled rooms are clean and neat. Good value for the price.

We got a good night sleep so that is something, but the place was not up to the usual Motel 6 standards. We were in the "old" part of the hotel. Hallway leading to room did not have a very fresh smell. Room was OK but one towel was old and torn, sheets were pretty thin, etc. We had a dog who likes fresh air so we were happy to see the windows could be opened, but the crank on the window did not work so just had to push on window to open it. Bathroom worked fine and beds were comfortable. Overall, certainly couldn't call it a "nice room", but worked OK for us.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night after a bit of shopping and sightseeing in the area. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Well stocked with clean towels, tissues, microwave and a mini fridge. The TV was one of the nicer ones we've seen at a hotel and the colors of the room added an extra level of comfort. We had a room on the end so the extra privacy was nice. Larry was awesome — very friendly, great sense of humor and he gave us a great rate for the night. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone in the area looking for a clean, comfortable room at an affordable price.

Solid motel, good for a weekend of fishing and hiking. Room was spacious and clean. Owner/manager (Larry) is extremely nice and helpful. Very pet friendly.

New ownership. Under construction. No pool, no Wi-Fi, no breakfast, room was dirty, over priced. Had to call for soap. Website is very inaccurate. The worst place I've ever stayed.

Filthy beyond anything I've ever seen. Not fit for my dogs even!

Made reservation with a credit card for the Room. On the date we were to check in the hotel called at 4pm and wanted to know where we were. They became short and wanted to know the exact time we would be there. When we arrived we noticed quite a few fishermen waiting around outside the motel they said "oh you made it" It became clear the motel was going to our room away. Upon checking in the desk person increased the cost of the room even though I insisted that was incorrect. The owner who made the reservation was augmentative and rude. Because there was no other place to stay, we were stuck at the Brisbois. The room was dirty and in very poor condition. They took a copy of my DL and refused to return the copy. I would run as fast as you can from this place. Dishonest, rude and a filthy place to stay,

Wasn't the nicest of places to stay, but I found nothing wrong with the rooms. It was exactly what I needed it for and that was to come back and sleep.

Was there weekend of 08/28/15. Been staying there for 25 years, always been dated but clean. New owners July of 2015, was shocked how poorly things were. Mold on shower tiles & curtain, people actually living there permanently with charcoal grills, lawn chairs & attitude after a few beers grilling. Personally I think (2) people were trying to clean rooms, run front office, run the show. Continental breakfast was (2) kinds of dry cereal, (1) gallon of milk. Hotel says you can get 10% discount at restaurant next door, but restaurant, does not honor, wants nothing to do with new owners. If you stay, good luck, careful of camels parked near front door.

Nothing to brag about. Very nice staff, room was dated. Some mold on the shower curtain should have been cleaned. I would stay here again but maybe not my first choice on Prairie du Chien.

In this price range this is a good choice. Friendly staff and clean rooms. $75 for queen room, mini fridge, microwave, shower no tub. Continental breakfast or 10% off at a restaurant next door. Train runs very nearby but no whistle.
