A full-on home run for this particular Best Western location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The water in the shower ran hot for the back-to-back extended showers we took after a weekend of camping. The continental breakfast was delicious, fulfilling, and freshly served. Dan and Vanessa were on hand and the perfect, welcoming, friendly hosts that should greet every hotel patron. I usually favor Best Western as a brand when traveling due to their reasonable cost and sufficient facilities, but I've had varying experiences due to the independent ownership model that the brand operates by. Here, I can honestly say that all the i's were dotted and all the t's were crossed. Anyone seeking a reasonably-priced hotel in the Stevens Point area that comes with the maintenance and service of a higher-priced facility should definitely try this particular Best Western location. My grade: A+

Overall experience was not very good. Hotel staff was rude and the pool area had a mold smell. The room was fairly clean and comfortable but I would only recommend this hotel as a last resort. ** — Your comment below proves the rudeness and the fact that guests are not treated well. My card was just fine when I made the reservation, hence being able to make the reservation. We had not even checked in yet when we were being called to find out why the credit card wouldn't work, which happened to be because we were traveling by the way and a hold was placed on the card which was resolved as soon as I found out about it. But there was no compassion at all, just give me a new card or your room will be given away. You were not the one who called, so I am quite certain you do not know how we were spoken to. Not a very nice way to be treated when traveling. I am sure that is not the policy of how to handle things with most hotels. But thank you also for putting that out here in your response to my opinion review. Very personal information which you chose to share, once again proving my point about the rudeness. As for the pool and the breakfast area (which by the way I only put in my survey and did not even mention in this review), maybe some people have lower standards than I do. I stand by my review, and your corporate office will be getting a call about your response to it since you decided to share personal information.

Stayed here for one night. Check in was smooth and staff all very nice. I usually stay at Holiday Inn or County Inn for business. However the staff, cleanliness, security and overall experience was good. Rooms comfortable and clean as well. 4.5 out of 5. Would stay here again.

Overall, the experience was pleasant enough. The air conditioning system was very loud, making sleep difficult. All nearby restaurants were either out of business or closed by 5pm or earlier.

The room was clean, and I have had a pleasant stay here in the past (when the weather was cool). This time, however, it was very hot outside, and the air conditioning in the room did not function well. It was 86 degrees when I got to the room, and it stayed in the 80s all night, even with the thermostat set to 60. I tried calling the front desk for 15 minutes straight (at around 11pm), and no one answered. Even if they had answered, I kind of doubt they could have solved the problem. The entire hotel was hot, including the hallways and lobby. I don't need a lot from a hotel, basically just cleanliness and good temperature control. I travel to Plover frequently and spend the days working outside, so a hot hotel room at the end of the day is kind of a deal breaker for me. I don't plan to stay at the Best Western again, unless they are able to demonstrate that they have fixed the problem. Other than the temperature, I would have no complaints.

The king suite had a hot tub and a decent size room. Parking was adequate and I think there are good food within walking distance.

Extremely clean hotel. Beds and pillows are super comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Many choices on the breakfast menu. Great customer service here and every single person working here, WORKS!

The availability for early check-in during weekdays, combined with truck parking in the rear has make this a place in the area for my Stay. Very helpful staff, very clean rooms. Top notch for the maximum value.

I just hosted a wedding shower in one of their conference rooms and I couldn't be more impressed. Very nice setup. The staff was very sweet and willing to help. From what I was told, the hotel took over new ownership recently and they were extremely helpful and I'm glad I chose this hotel. Very happy with the customer service overall.

So I'm not some hoity toity blogger or even someone that rates really great places. Heck I normally dont care but this had to be brought to the attention of other people. Peter is the owner and he was at the front desk. This man is awesome, I had ice-cream that was frozen when I bought it, then it melted in the fridge case dumb me I put it in a fridge not a freezer. Well I talk to the front desk Peter suggested I put it in their commercial freezer. Normally you think a hotel owner wouldn't care, but Peter was so courteous that if the man is that great think about the establishment. Its a beautiful building and you can tell he really cares about the hotel. The little things go a long way when your not at home. The spa room is awesome by the way, im from Nevada im used to 5 start hotels and everything state of the art. Id chose this hotel just because the actual care.

Had a great stay… Tammy working weekend and I got to play some… clean, comfortable, and quiet stay… will stay next time… ate @ Mikey's in Plover… awsome food, ambience, and staff.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Hot tub in the room was also very nice.

We love coming to Best Western in Plover. The amenities are great. It is usually a quiet and peaceful experience. I even told the manager that we look forward to coming here for deer hunting each year. Realize that we hunt near Waupaca but have chosen to drive 20-30 miles extra to stay in Plover.

Super clean, quiet. Friendly staff. Spartan extras. No snack vending, nor soap for laundry. Just bring your own.

We have stayed here many years now and it is always a pleasure. Staff is extremely nice and the breakfast is great. Our children love the pool! We have a bigger family and this is one if the only hotels that have family suites. Its a great place to stay.

I had a king suite. It was a very large room. Actually 2 rooms with 2 TVs. It was very comfortable and was definitely home away from home.

I only was able to stay here for about 4 hours. The power died in the area (all hotels), and I waited a while for it to come back, but eventually needed Wi-Fi and a working shower. The employees were very helpful and canceled my reservation with no issue. The rooms were clean and spacious. I ended up having to stay somewhere else that was disgusting, but had power. Really wish I could have had stayed at the best western, but it was out of their control.

We booked 2 rooms. When checking in, they gave one of our rooms to another party with the same last name. the stay is fine. Nothing dramatic. after check-out, we were billed for FOUR rooms. called the hotel, promised to call us back in 30 minutes but never did. What a nightmare… in the middle of sorting this out.

Worst experience ever. Read this post before reservation: The room you booked online means nothing. I booked a suite with 2-bedrooms. They changed my reservation to 2 beds in one room without any notice. So I have to fit 2 families in one single room. Check in service refused to change for solve the problem. They said:" Whatever the pics on the website is not showing the real room". Basically, they used fancy pics as bait, when you check in you will notice, you are paying over rate and getting nothing at all. Luckily, I was not the only person went through problems. The two guys in front booked 2 queens, and hotel changed to 1 king bed without any notice until they come at 9pm. If you are extremely rich and would like to pay double price to get the satisfied service or can check in before 3pm make sure no one takes your room, you can ignore my post. Otherwise, think about where you money goes and what you will get before booking it.

The guy at the front desk was really nice and helpful. The bed was so comfortable. They provided us 2 bottles of water in the fridge and gave us 2 more. The breakfast was great! Biscuits, gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee and tea. We were stuffed. Definitely will try to come back here.

Stay was wonderful. Hotel is very nice, not outdated like many other hotels in the area. Very nice room, big flat screen, micro, and freezer. Nice clean bathroom. Nice hot breakfast in the morning. Nice clean pool area. Everything was nice and a great price. Would highly recommend.

We were in a conference room, the room was very nice. The food was really nice. The training we had was great.

I had a meeting in Plover, so I decided to drive up the night before since I live 2+ hours away. I found this place on tripadvisor, and while it is very clean, and gave me what I needed, I felt I WAY overpaid for what I got. Granted it has a hot tub and a pool, and a decent enough breakfast, but there is nothing around it. There's a bar across the highway (and a gas station), plus a run down family restaurant across the street… but I had to drive another 10 minutes to find a decent place to eat. Very disappointed with the location. Bed was good, pillows were not. Staff was very nice, very attentive, although I had a tax exempt cert (since this was for work) and was told my rate would change if I used it. This was not what I was told when I called a couple of days prior. Would I stay here again? Yes, but it won't be my first choice. This was an $82.00 hotel room (with tax) that should have been in the 65-70 dollar range (with tax) As a side, I received a reply from the Front Desk Manager, Larry, and he stated the rooms were "a steal at twice the price. " Didn't respond to my concerns (other than the tax exempt status) and missing the point of my original review. I felt I didn't receive a high enough value from this hotel for the price paid. Disappointed, and will not stay here in the future.

Clean rooms, nice staff, comfortable beds, great price.

The front desk person retaliated for my requesting a different room when we discovered my room was not cleaned (whirlpool was dirty/use as well as the sheets and bathroom). The hotel was booked and he made it clear that he hated my using service animals and bringing them into his hotel. I would avoid staying here. My property was damaged and the alert animal that they took away from me, (we had to call corporate and the police to get it returned), had its leg fractured while in its care. The training alone for this alert animal was over $10, 000. Do not trust them with your credit card information. Do not leave personal property in the room. Do not trust this hotel. Bring copies of the federal and international paperwork for you service animals if you have them. Call corporate and let them know if you are using a monkey etc Looks like a fun place but I didnt get to use it because the staff got made when I complained about the room not being clean and wanted a whirlpool that was NOT full of dirty water when they were ''fully booked". THEY DID NOT make other accommodations for me and I could not attend the rest of my licensing coursework that I have paid for and flown more than 3000 miles to attend.

Very clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. One of my better experiences staying in hotels. I will come back if I travel through again.
