Spa was ok… the rooms are stuck in the 70s and the dining are looks like it belongs in a nursing home… and the club isn't really a club… very dated and we dont plan on returning.

This place is tired. Staff has always been nice. Ricks resturant breakfast is great… Bar is ill say good. Other than that It's just a place to sleep. By know means is it a dump either. Its just older and could use some money put it no it…

It was a nice place with some neat features like a golf simulator room. But it's closed now and may stay that way. When it opened there weren't many things around it and it was more special. But by the time it closed a few weeks ago it had slipped a little. It would be nice to see it revived or put to some other use, but it will take some creative vision and a lot of money to make that happen.

The hotel is okay (the rooms seem really old and the bathrooms aren’t the best) ; however they charged me an additional pet fee wrongfully to my credit card. I called and told them. The lady at the front desk was nice, but told me I would have to talk to the manager. She transferred me to the managers voicemail and I explained my situation and asked for him to call me when he was in the office. I haven’t heard from anyone since, and it’s been a week. I have tried calling back multiple times and every time there is no answer. I will not be staying with them again in the future — poor management.

Really old, outdated, and not well maintained. Took my husband there for his birthday and we ended up leaving two hours later. I had him booked for a massage but they didn't have any robes large enough for him (he's 6'3") because they "had a number of large women in the spa that day. " The spa facility itself was very run down and disappointing. As soon as I walked into our whirl pool suit I could see torn carpet and stains. Not to mention there several living and dead bees in the room! The only redeeming quality is that the manager and maintenance staff were very nice and let us leave without charging us a cancellation fee.

Our group planned a night out inside Crickets lounge. It was a wonderful evening! Mike Jonas was extremely helpful to fulfill our groups requests and the bartender and manager at our event were fantastic! The bbq chicken pizza was a favorite, as well as the wine tasting! Communication for setting up our event was a breeze and our group looks forward to planning another event in the future. Thanks Mike!

Stayed there Saturday night. Room was ice cold, no soaps in the room and the room was dated and dirty. To top it off I was charged 250 dollars extra as a penalty for a cigarette butt left on the balcony. I don’t smoke. Seems like the hotel is working additional angles to get more revenue. I protested the charge, but the hotel has not yet returned my call.
On a positive note, the staff at the hotel bar was amazing.

I want to give this a three star because the price matches what you get, so it's hard to complain, but there were a few things that just detract from the experience. Waiting 15 minutes to check in because there was only one person working the front desk on a Saturday afternoon, only one bartender at the bar for most of a Saturday night had no-kidding caused 20 minute waits to get a drink. No one was at the front desk when my wife and I checked out; after waiting 5 minutes and looking around we tossed the keys on their computer keyboard and walked out. Overall, not bad; you get what you pay for. Hopefully it was just an off day.

My Husband and I attended the 2018 Military & Veterans Winter Ball at the Oconomowoc location. The staff were all amazing. From front desk receptionists, bartenders to kitchen staff. Very caring and kind. Beautiful Hotel. The banquet dinner was excellent. Only issue was the ATM was out of order during this very large event. Overall though, wonderful experience. — Griffin family.

The check in process Horrible! The front desk staff needs training. However, Aaron the outlet manager was the damn BOMB! Benji the night club bartender was AWESOME as well. Along with Mrs. P from Rick's and the SPA staff saved our weekend. At the end of the day all these people made my weekend Awesome. The rooms and the resort is very dated. The owner needs to put some money in remodeling and updating the place it's so big and could be the place to go to relax and have fun with your girls or lover.

If there was a way to leave a worse rating I would. We were in town for a wedding and had a room reserved as part of the wedding block. Our room was supposed to be ready by 3. They told us it would be 20 a minute wait. After an hour and a half we still didn't have our room and were late to the wedding. The most frustrating part was me overhearing 2 employees who may have been managers see there was an issue and say "I wonder what's going on there? Let's walk away so we don't have to deal with it. " I will never go back.

Went for a wedding. This is definitely a resort because it has everything you would need not to leave the compound. Bar, restaurant, pool, etc. It was a little like a maze getting around, but the rooms were nice. Main complaint was that the wedding was 150+ strong and at 4pm. The resort was providing transportation to the ceremony and my room was not ready in time for the bus. I ended up checking in, intoxicated, at 12am. A heavy oversight if you ask me, being that a large chuck of rooms were reserved for this wedding. The location is nice, a bit dark and dated, but nice.

This hotel is not the most updated, but for the price I was not expecting perfection. Newer hotels in the area were twice as much per night! My big draw was the outdoor pool area and it didn't disappoint. It was clean and spacious with a snack bar steps away. I was happy with my stay!

After seeing all these negative ratings from 2016 2015, I don't know if they sold it but we were very happy staying at this hotel, rooms were nice and big and clean, we were on the third floor witch are room looked renovated nice, hallway carpet was one and beat down, but maybe the next step to replace, friends stayed on 2nd floor, no complaints, all and all would I go back? in heart beat,!

Resort could use a facelift, but it's nice for the price. The only real negatives I found was the incredibly touchy smoke detector and the security door constantly propped open. Every single time we cooked, it set off the detector. Steam set it off. Other than that, it was a good value place. If you're expecting a premium place, you may be disappointed, this resort is straight out of the 70s with minimal updates.

Work with Karla for our wedding. She was amazing! I only have complements for her and the rest of the wedding staff. She was flexible, easy to work with and highly supportive of myself and my wife. The reason I am giving Olympia Resort a 4 star is due to the hotel staff. Although they were friendly and for every mistake that was made they did there very best to fix it, mistakes that shouldn't have happened, happened. They had myself and my wife switch rooms on our wedding night without informing us during check in. They did correct this by giving us a hospitality suite to make up for the move. They also did a fine job keeping to rooms clean, but there was a few small issues with cleanliness that they could easily corrected. I would absolutely recommend Olympia Resort to anyone who is looking to get married in the Milwaukee Waukesha area.

I booked a double queen room for myself and my maid of honor the night before my wedding, just as a girlfriends getaway before the big day. For the amount of money I paid to stay in this room, I'm still shocked at the low quality of the rooms. Our ceiling had visible water damage, along with what I'm convinced was mold. The wall behind one of the beds had a large bow in it, which although we made jokes about there being a body hidden in the wall, concerned me throughout the night. The fire alarm went off for a good 20 minutes around 9pm and someone just yelled down the hall 'there's no fire'; not even a hotel worker, another guest who called the desk. There were 2 women in this hotel room and we were given 1 partial role of toilet paper, with no additional roles to be found. We ran out in the morning and just had to wait until we got where we were going. The front desk employee had horrible people skills, gave me absolutely no information, just 2 keys and that was it. And there was a very bright light on the entire night right outside of our window, so I got less sleep than expected. I cannot believe what I got for how much I paid. What a ripoff!

Rooms were not top quality but they still were not bad. Felt like a maze at first. Maybe it's best to leave where the rooms are a little better. But the bar was a great time, The restaurant had a fantastic buffet for a hotel and overall it was a great hotel. We had our yellow ribbon event prior to our deployment. The conference hall was nice and the catered lunch was delicious.

I was very disappointed even despite others reviews. I didn't have the highest of expectations to start with based on what I had read already, but we stayed there as part of a wedding block. I knew not to expect much, but what really bothered me was that I specifically said I needed a NO SMOKING room, and we obviously were given a room that had in the past been a smoking room, and though it is now non smoking, the room smelled like an ashtray. The room was also damp which amplified the smell, so we turned on the heat to get the damp out and the heater smelled too, like it was going to start on fire. Aside from that, and minor but still… we had one washcloth and two towels, our bed was uncomfortable the paint job was terrible and there were burns in the carpet. The fan would not run continuously, turned itself on and off all night and when it was off… we could hear everything going on in every room and hallway around us, due to the paper thin walls. Worst night I have had in years. Zero stars if that is possible.

Thank you to all the staff at Olympia for the great job you did for my daughter's wedding. The food was outstanding, the ballroom was beautiful. The gazebo was the perfect location for the ceremony and all the service and support staff were great. We loved our suite and the hospitality room. I highly recommend Olympia for wedding venues. Thank you.

We went to take our son there for the all you can eat crab legs on a Wednesday night. My husband & I ordered something else off there menu. We went there because it was highly recommend from a couple that goes there often for there fish fry. We loved everything about it. The service was great and so was the food! My husband & my dinner didn't come with a salad bar but our waitress offered it to us anyway! We will definitely be back & our son enjoyed the all you can eat crab legs. We all have nothing negative to say about it.

We went to Easter Brunch yesterday, and not exaggerating, it was the worst buffet we have ever been to, and we go to a lot of them. None of the "hot" food was hot, and the food that needed to be kept cold (shrimp, clams, salmon) was just sitting warm on a table. We had to pay in advance, and the tip was included. That would not have been a big deal, but we had to clean our own plates off more them once, and finally had to say something to the manager about our waitress never coming back. The perfect description we finally came up with yesterday was, "It is like they cleaned out their freezers, and served what they could find. "

We stayed for an event. The lady at the check in desk appeared miserable like she hated her job, not what I wanted to deal with after long travels. Our smoke detector awoke the kids at 6 a. M. As it randomly went off for no reason and all I got was "um okay I'm sorry the battery must be dying. " If a freak out smoke detector doesnt scare you and get your heart pumping at 6 a. M.! And there are no fans in the bathrrom so the mirror fogged up. The check out lady was much nicer, friendly, smiling, and seemed she wanted to be there though. The atmosphere was nice during our event, just had these unpleasant hiccups.

What a joke! I don't think anything has been updated or taken care of since 2000. This place is literally falling apart, and filthy. I had my daughter's birthday party here, and was so disappointed. Everything was covered in dust, paint chipping off everywhere, electrical covers missing in rooms, no microwave, no pool towels! Oh, and you have to pay to go on the hot tub! I could go on and on. The icing on the cake was when I called the front desk to get extra blankets, and was told housekeeping went home, and he didn't have a key! When I asked to talk to a manger, was told, he also went home because it was slow! I will never return, and I will spread the word!

We had our daughters wedding there June 10, 2016. Hottest day ever and no air conditioning. The service was terrible, minors were allowed access to alcohol and the rooms were not updated and most of them had no air conditioning. They have done nothing to rectify this disaster, except offer me some vouchers to come back. They won't even answer our letters. Stay clear of this place, it's a disaster. My daughters reception which was suppose to be the best day of her life was a nightmare thanks to Olympia. Her wedding reception was suppose to last until midnight, but was mostly over by 9:00 when all the guests went home as they felt sick from the heat. This place should get what it deserves… the doors locked.

The first room on the 1st floor had a weird musty smell. Like I was in the basement or something. The patio was filthy, no one had swept it. The room was very dingy and dark I felt unsafe. We called the front desk and got the room changed. This room had a smell but not as bad. Was this place built in the 80's? I walked in and was shocked is this a resort? I know it's October but please, clean all the cobwebs! Every corner, light fixture & screen was full of cobwebs. Nope never again.

We had a great time. We used the outdoor pool and the Female part of the spa. Haley in the spa was very helpful and treated my daughter and I great. She was definitely the highlight of our stay.

It was a horrible experience. Our room was not clean even though we asked the front desk to take care of it. Our toilet was not working and we reported the problem to the front desk and still nothing was done — we had to ask at 10pm in the evening to be changed rooms so we could have a clean room with a working bathroom. I was offered a $10 discount for my trouble which I found insulting along with a 20% discount off my next stay. I declined the offer to come back to this run down hotel even if they offered me a two week stay for free. We heard they have a new General Manager but he has a lot of work to do to bring this place back to today's service standards. Veronica did the best she could to accommodate us but not having a team that backs her up resulted in us still being completely dissatisfied.

I love the size of the rooms and the outside pool. Customer service isn't the best when calling for a room they don't seem very knowledgeable about the hotel. It's a nice place to get away from reality and feels like your on a vacation.

Very dated, needs improvment very badly, mold in the bathrooms, rooms very nasty, was supposed to stay for a couple of weeks but after 3 days we found a different hotel. The restrant was ok but very pricey and always out of stuff. This hotel needs somone to show them how to treat people. Not very friendly. Ut seemed as if we were an inconvieance being there. I hope this helps anyone thinking of stayin here, good luck.

Great place. A lot of facilities (pools, bar, spa, etc. ) Staff is nice. More spread out as a flat facility than a vertical building. Careful about picky surprise fees on how you leave your room.

Olympia is fine. The guest rooms are quite outdated and rundown, and even a little gross. The staff is very friendly. The price is decent. Seems like a lot of people may live there full time and hang out all day long.

I attended a wedding reception in their banquet hall. The resort looks beautiful and very high class. I would definitely consider using their facility in the future for a personal event.

Staff very helpful… Set up room on Expedia and apparently there was no King bed as we requested. Abby was very pleasant and found us an upgrade at no additional cost. Thanks for a happier 29th anniversary!

Convenient location, fair prices, mini fridge, comfortable bedding, clean rooms, nice staff, decent restaurant. It needs some renovations in certain areas, but for the area it's largely a good choice to stay at compared to some others. I wouldn't have a wedding or "resort" intention when staying here, but it's nice for a hotel if you're just staying a night.

If I could I would give them zero stars! We ordered romantic package. When we arrived, they had only reservation for spa, so we wasted time in front desk, waited to made reservation and check in. The welcome package wasn't ready, we were late for the spa. Spa was ok, just outdated. Then we arrived in the room, outdated, dirty. I sat down on a chair, which was broken, so I fell. The view was on parking lot with garbage all over. The welcome package were 6 little chocolate and super cheap wine. So we decided to leave. They told us, the later tonight manager will take care of it, she is not there at the moment. Five minutes later, after we got mad, the manager came out from back door, she was very arrogant. She charged us $200 for 45/30 min bath/massage. I will never come back!

Hated it! Staff was not helpful at all! We balled a bunch a times and they said there is hot tubes open till 11 and they didn't even work was colder then the pool. Gave me the run around trying to get a manager and wouldn't even let us upgrade. Ended up getting another room somewhere else. Do not waste money going here!

Great for a weekend getaway. Comfortable room, nothing fancy. Hardworking spa staff with a variety of facilities. Good cooking for all the meals we are here so far.

They are thieves with horrible customer service! Who would expect such a large hotel to steal your money like this! On Friday we gave them $200 cash and I put the rest of the room cost $158.80 on my card. I had seen where my card was charged the $158.80 on Friday. On Saturday they charged my card another $200. Joan in accounting claims this is for the cost of the room, stating the hotel has no record of us giving any cash at checkin. She cannot explain why the hotel would not have charged my card the full cost of the room $358.80 all at once at check in and why the $200.00 (which was our cash part) was added to my card the next day. I explained to Joan that 5 other people saw the cash exchange and if they would review their security footage they would see it as well. Also, they put a hold for $450 on my card for security deposit, not the $250 they stated they were charging for that. I did get that back. I'm going to file a dispute with my card company and a complaint with the better business bureau. Horrible situation!

Slept overnight for a wedding. The staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival, the room was clean and a nice size. The pillows were huge and seemed nice but were very stiff. The food at the wedding was delicious but the staff serving drinks could have been a little friendlier. The Indigo Bar staff was nice and there were comedians performing which was cool. Had an overall good experience at The Olympia Resort.

Attended a wedding here and it was lovely. The food was delicious and the decor was very tasteful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice wedding spot.

Meet here for rotary club each week. Great place, great food.

I booked a room for Aug. 8th, 2015. When I checked out, I found that the order was uncancelable, but there was cancellation insurance provided by AlIianz could buy, so I bought the insurance. However, my dad in Chinese was very ill, in critical condition, my relative informed me. I might have to go China anytime. So I cancelled the trip and called the hotel to cancel the room on Aug. 3rd. When I asked Allianz to get my money back, provide the copy of my relative message, but I was asked to show the China hospital's statement to prove. The hospital refused to do so because it has never done so. Don't book this hotel no matter how it is. Don't trust Allianz travel insurance.

Went up to use the spa. Had been there years ago, and had good memories. I should have stayed home with the memories. Hasn't been cleaned or renovated in years. They need to sell out to real hoteliers.

Will not ever return! Came here with my family and they have nothing working. Dead zone rooms… no activities or social events going on. Bring your own towels to the pool area because they ask for them back after you leave the pool so we all walked back to our rooms soaked and cold! The outdoor pool said it closed at 10pm but had to close at six because the "lifeguard" was off at 6. Sooo the entire pool is shut down on a hot summer day on a SATURDAY with a bar at 6pm! Stupid. The so called arcade took my kids money and the juke box didn't work either. The restaurant was dead and still took forever to get our food. Their lemonade was ice water with lemons! Ha! Wow I was embarrassed I took my family here and cancelled our next day to stay there. We originally booked for two nights for labor day weekend but after being there a few hours there was no need to stay an extra night. That'd be torture. Halls smelled like a wet dog and then I seen a couple walking down the hall… with a dog. Do not stay here. Don't let the groupon pictures and deal fool you!

Will never go back. Smelled moldy and like wet dog in halls and our room. My wife was afraid to walk barefoot on the carpet. She suffers from asthma, so when I tried to check out after the first night I was told about the 48 hour cancellation policy. Restaurant was quality was poor. I'd rather eat at Denny's. Silverware had to be sent back because it showed obvious signs of use by a previous customer. Pictures on website show a pristine hotel and setting but when you get there it's like an over-grown motel from the '70's. No one was in the hot tub but there were plenty of signs they had been. I'll take a Hampton Inn any day over that place.

This hotel is very outdated and pretty dirty. The only great thing that came out of it was how great Molly at the front desk was. She is extremely professional and helpful, Olympia is very lucky to have such a wonderful employee.

Staff was fine, TV in room had electrical problems, general condition of facility needs help just look at main entrance sign. DO not ride in hotel van, steering was way over 2" minimum play in wheel. Eleven of us were relieve once we got out.

Terrible. Ugly. Disgusting rooms. The room smelled, brunch was terrible. Never returning! bed bugs all over the sheets. Garbage from previous stays (years ago) hidden under the bed, behind desks. Already broken screen, bathroom smelled like vomit and feces. Oh and heres the kicker: THEY CHARGED my debit card 1000 dollars for one stay that was paid entirely in cash. Currently on the phone with chase bank to get every single penny back. One of the worst experiences of my entire adult life, dealing with a completely incompetent, lying staff and the worst service i've ever seen. I have seen more professionality at a super 8 motel. NEVER staying here again, and will make sure not a single person I know ever does either. This place's lack of morals speaks for itself, and I wont even change the review to two stars when I do get my money back I wish there was a 0 star rating. Completely awful experience, NEVER AGAIN. Businesses like this are criminal organizations and will never receive my business again.

The hotel is a bit outdated but that I can live with. The rooms were not clean and my bead spread had blood stains on the underside. There was no house keeping on my two day visit. The staff was nice but unorganized. At check in, a friend and I split the cost of the room. On the second night when I needed a key, they wouldn't allow me in the room because they had lost all my information. LOST MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! When I spoke with the hotel manager, she acted as if this was my problem and I was not allowed in the room. I asked for her to review the security cameras so that I could prove that I had checked in and gave reception my card and filed out the necessary paperwork. She then told me she had no access to security footage on the weekends and I would have to wait until Monday. Her customer service was a joke and therefore so is the resort as a whole. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies.

For two days I have tried making a hotel reservation for New Years Eve and have become very frustrated! I write this review in hopes that the way "Reservations" are handled currently are reviewed and that if the "One" person who can take reservations is OFF, that there is a back-up plan and someone else can handle and "make reservations" for those few days while they are gone. Yesterday, I am told it is the Manager who I need to speak to and I am put into a voicemail and assured she always calls back. I waited all day today for a call, and nothing. Today, I call back and I explained yesterdays conversation and the guy tells me that is correct. Only the "Manager" can make reservations, but she is off until Friday. No one told me that last night when I was leaving a message and expecting to get a call back today. I then asked, is this "manager" the only one in the entire place who can make reservations and he states "Yes" for special events like this. OK, maybe it is just me, but that sounds foolish to turn away business. When people call to make reservations, they don't want to wait for phone calls back, they want someone on the phone at that moment to handle their request. So the guy on the phone today explains he can take my request and will have the manager call me on Friday. I am not looking to wait several more wasted days of not knowing if I have a hotel and confirmed reservation.

The worse hotel I have stayed at in over 40 years! Avoid this hotel! Needs renovation badly. It had bed bugs, bathtub had very slow drain, had leak in above restroom dripping into bathroom below, they charge you to use the workout room (that is a 1st ever), staff was rude, had to call for maid service.

My husband and I stayed there because of a wedding. Everywhere you looked, the hotel was in need of upkeep and repair. Our first experience. Bed bugs. Check your mattresses! We moved to another room and it was not much better. The sheets were so old, the corners were stretched out and did not stay on the mattress which had no mattress pad. The hallways were very dark and all the rugs were very dirty and worn. There was wood molding that had been split and it was hanging off the wall in the hallway. The bathroom was in need of caulking repair and the toilet seat needed to be thrown out! Our last morning there, the electricity went out and therefore there was no restaurant available. I think everyone enjoyed the bagels they found in town better then the usual buffet. After we left, I realized I had left my phone charger. I called right away and the front desk had it but I needed to work with housekeeping to get it. Multiple calls and messages left and still can not get anyone on the phone or to return my calls. The hotel manager does not even return calls or answer his phone. On the positive side, there are many good restaurants in the area to enjoy.

WOW! What a joke! My husband and I needed a short term place to stay while we waited to close on our house. The online ads showed a wonderful suite, with a kitchenette, nice beds, Wi-Fi, clean rooms and more. OMGosh! We were treated like steerage when we went to the "long term" level of the hotel. No towels, no housekeeping, dirty carpets, smelly rooms, mold, torn bedding, no hot water, no housekeeping, as advertised and no room service because "long term" doesn't get it! My husband almost got raped on the elevator, by another "long term" tenant and was called a bitch when he refused to join them in their room for "drinks". We were told at one point, sorry were sort staffed, and that's my problem why? We requested towels 3x on one day and NEVER received any. When we 1st checked in, we were short changed in essence. The front desk staff was preoccupied with his buddy standing next to us at the front desk. He wasn't paying attention and didn't credit us for the two nights we paid upon check in. We were told later that we were wrong, by staff, until we went to the front desk and asked them to count the bank from that night. LOW and BEHOLD it was over by the amount we PAID! We paid over $1000 for a 3 week stay, because of the ads and no lease needed. It reminded me of downtown Waukesha when they make all the shelter people leave for the day. It was a free for all. Parties in the halls and fights in the parking lots.

Wouldn't recommend. Old and outdated. Spa is also old, rooms have old box TV s and the carpet in the hallway looks dirty. Customer service is ok, staff is not aware of promotions. I will not be staying here ever again unless they did major rennovations and followed what they promote online and brochures.
