Beautiful Lobby… HUGE ISSUE: housekeeping and or other staff will enter your room way before check out time! We stayed there one night, and on the first day, someone open and closed our door quickly while we were in the room. The next morning, housekeeping woman knocked on our door and I didn’t reply because was in the bathroom, she then proceeded to open the door with the key card. I could see who she was because of the reflection in the bathroom mirror, Addressed the issue with the front desk woman employee and pointed out the suspect, THEY DID NOT PROVIDE A LOGICAL EXPLANATION OF JUSTIFICATION AS TO WHY OUR DOOR WAS OPENED. Also front desk woman wouldn’t enter my name correctly on invoice even after addressed the issue.

Great, convenient location. The room was nice although the lake view was marred by a very dirty window. The bed was large and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Manitowoc.

Granted, a hotel has rooms with beds, bathrooms and tubs. The location would have you expecting a destination hotel with great views and everything you would hope for in a shoreline establishment. You can walk along the shore and watch the occasional steamship that is loading grain at the elevator across the river. However the hotel seems to be outdated in many ways. The hotel rooms are crying out for a major make over in this tired building. We were underwhelmed with the first room they assigned to us and due to the condition of it, we requested a different room. Overall it’s a matter of what you expect and what you’re willing to accept. We are likely to look at different options if we are in Manitowoc again.

The hotel was very clean and the pillows and bed were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were nicely maintained. But the staff was beyond compare. We experienced a medical problem while staying at the hotel and thanks to the hotel personal we had a positive end to our vacation.

Could use some updates in the bathroom but the staff is fantastic. The ladies cleaning our room went above & beyond to see that we were able to get back in our room so we could get ready to attend the wedding we were in town for! The front desk & breakfast staff were very helpful & friendly.

We arrived around 12:30 p. M. And were told our room was not clean yet (they were full the night before) and to come back in 2 hours. We went to lunch and visited family and came back at 3:15. Room still not ready. I have RA and really needed to take pain medicine and a nap. We sat in the lobby until 4:30. I understand they were busy, but they knew we were there. Cleaning a room should only take 20-30 minutes. Once they were aware that we were waiting why didn't our room move to the top of the housekeeping list. Poor management. Room was clean and comfortable once we could get in.

The hotel sat on the lake, you could sit outside on the patio and have a beautiful view, or go inside the dining area which was nothing but windows.   The property is kept pristine and beautiful.   The rooms were comfy, and pretty quite (I've been in hotels where you could hear the next room talking, coughing, sneezing, or worse. ).   I'd stay here again.

We would highly recommend Baymont Inn, our two night stay was very comfortable. The rooms and property are very clean. Patti at the front desk was very friendly as was the rest of the staff. We will definitely be back for a visit!

Haven't had much experience with the counter for my father was the one who set up the check in. The staff have been welcoming and helpful. When we need something they'll go out of their way to get something for us. So their service is a plus. The only downside is the room is a bit small compared to most other hotels. Not an issue but having 3 or more people can add up. Due to a lot of furniture in one room, we would need to move some of it around to manage just 3 people. Beds themselves aren't the best in the world of hotels. They're too stiff but nonetheless still able to sleep on them. Their lunch options changes everyday and offer a variety of food, which is a plus. Their Wi-Fi isn't bad and is actually quite fast. I have a Pixel XL and have been constantly uploading videos and pics over their network and it seems to work pretty well. I would rate their Wi-Fi pretty well compared to most other hotels I've been too. Another cool feature is that the hotel is next to lake Superior with a submarine that you can go look at. Quite a neat exhibit to go look at if you have time. Personally I would choose a different hotel but my father needed something cheap for 3 people for a week. Not that bad.

Very nice room, 2 double beds with micro wave and tv. Nice pool, whirl pool and sauna. Got breakfasts with good choices, coffee, tea, milk, juice, yogurt, bagels, toast, muffins, waffel maker. Had also hot, food omlets and corn beef hash. Staff was supper helpful. And location very convenient to downtown locations.

Nice hotel on lake Superior. Friendly staff. Half decent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. For price they charge it is decent choice.

Stayed here Easter weekend, room 202. Priceline messed up our reservation, so instead of getting a king-sized bed, we got 2 full-size beds. Which were super tiny but extremely comfortable! The bathroom was a little small and the shower drain was at the side of the tub, not the end. The drains worked kinda slow but I gave it 5 stars because of all the positives. It's right on the water, our room (even in the corners and edges) was extremely clean, no bugs or foreign hairs, very friendly and helpful staff, even the breakfast was good. Has a pool and hot tub. And our key card worked the whole weekend! Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

The staff was extremely personable, not "corporate phoney"The hot breakfast was delicious, with variety. The restaurant area has a beautiful view, and the gal was so friendly and accommodating. The room also was clean, nice view with a friendly welcome note from the housekeeper. Very impressed!

This place used to be nice. Hot tub has been down for over a month. They let you use the ymca but who wants to go outside when it's — 8 deg. Breakfast is only til 9am. Elevator is out of order. Ice machine is gross. Mildew on ceiling in bathroom. I was gonna give this a 2 star, but after writing this it gets a one. Only good part was it was cheaper. But now I know why. Edit: I woke up to a leaking water pipe in the hallway. Was still leaking by the time I left. Thankfully it wasn't sewage.

Very nice place. Rooms are nice. Didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Hot tub was out of order when I was there.

Fresh Flavored Water in the lobby everyday. Comfortable bed beautiful view from the inside of breakfast area! Breakfast has a different variety of hot food along with the tradional waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit, bagels and juice.

Free continental hot breakfast included a DIY waffle bar. I wish I had brought my bathing suit to try the pool and sauna. Definitely will stay here again when in town.

We were up on business for an 8 day stay. We booked two adjoining rooms, but when we arrived, there were none available. So, we were given separate rooms on the third floor with parking lot views. I asked for help with the baggage, and no one was available. The sinks in both bathrooms had slow drains. The next day, we returned around five o'clock pm after our business to find the rooms had not been cleaned nor the beds made. We checked out and booked adjoining rooms at the Holiday Inn near the interstate. MUCH better. Our local business associates had warned us about the Baymont Inn and we didn't listen. Never again.

Second stay at this facility, great location, Lake Michigan is a few steps away, lots of places to jog, bike, paddle, fish… and many eating options within walking distance. Great hot breakfast and friendly staff. I don't even bother looking at other hotels in the area, this is my pick hands down.

The beds are a little uncomfortable, there's a lot under construction so some of the extras aren't available. The breakfast is decent, though they made my kids put their shoes on before they could get any food, little strange. Only have double beds which isn't ideal to anyone sharing a bed but it is off of the water so the there's a view.

Great location next to the lake. Service was outstanding. Rooms are nothing special but definitely worth the price.

Booked our room on way to destination. When we arrived the desk clerk didn't have our reservation on the computer system. I had spoken to a gentleman at a reservation number and he took my information. He said we were all set. All very unsettling so I had to cancel my credit card and use another. The room was ok but the air conditioner appeared not working properly as it was extremely noisy. Breakfast was sub par but the dining room did have a nice view of the water.

Very helpful staff. Nice and clean rooms. Paid for a lakeside room, but the windows were so dirty you could barely see the lake. Pool area could also use a little more cleaning attention. But all in all enjoyed the stay.

First time staying here for the weekend. Average room, average breakfast. If you stay try to get a room with a view. Location and being on the lake was great! Not happy that when we were out Saturday morning @10am (did not leave the do not disturb sign on door) that they did NOT clean our room. After returning from being gone all day it would of been nice that the room was clean. We had to go and ask the front desk for more towels and garbage bags! We said something to the front desk and she did not know why it wasn't cleaned. For what we spent on the room that should have been done! Because of that I don't think we will stay here. We will try a different one!

Nice motel, but needs better beds and updating! Love that is right on Lake Michigan.

Your average, small-town Wisconsin hotel. Nothing fancy. Room was clean. You can tell that it needs a lot of updates. It appears that possibly they are doing small things, here and there to improve the rooms over time. Comfortable enough for the value.
