What a morning view of the sunrise over Lake Michigan! We love our room and are completely satisfied with everything. Very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again!

Large updated room with a deck overlooking Lake MI. We love algoma and love this hotel. The room was clean and we had the best view. We only wish they had in room coffee makers.

So outdated, but the cleanest hotel ever! The view can't be better. Everything worked and we loved our stay.

The room was gross. It smelled and was dirty. Cobwebs with dead bugs in them, layers of dust on the curtains, even dead bugs on the bed. The blinds in the bathroom were broken, not sure how private that was. The balcony and view were great but it is so poorly maintained that it is not worth the price. Our patio door stuck and was difficult to open. The windows and doors were not sealed well enough to keep insects out. We ran out of toilet paper the first day and there was no extra roll left. They don't come in to clean your room or leave supplies. We were supposed to stay 3 nights and left after 2. Could be a great place if they took care of it because the location is nice.

I have to give a huge shout out for the wonderful hospitality at our motel! We asked the gentleman at the lobby if there was food places open. He said no but I have some rice that I can share. He ended up giving us some authentic Indian food! Homemade rice and lentil soup. It was delicious!

Nice rooms. Great views. But beds are hard as a rock. And front desk leaves by 5 so if you need anything after 5 your on your own.

Excellent location. Room was sufficient but nothing extravagant, a bit on the dingy side but clean. Carpet, towels and chairs have seen better days. "Free breakfast " is instant oatmeal, coffee is in a vending machine that continuously heats it up () and either orange or apple juice BUT it's only available from 8:00 am — 10:00 am. As long as you don't want to spend much time in the room, this place is fine for the price.

Room was gross. Smelled like pee. Stains on the carpet. Especially bad since it was over $100.

If you book for the near future, the possibility of a beach side room is basically zero. You get a nice highway view instead. The towels are non-absorbant and child sized, the sheets are old and pilly, the beds are too firm and lumpy and the lake flies aren't pleasant. It is right on the beach but it's a large stone beach meaning getting in and out of the water is painful but there are pretty stones. Algoma is a decent base for Door County a half hour from fun destinations. Dont know if I'd do it again for the price.

What this place has going for it is that it's right on the water. You have almost your own private beach and there are picnic tables and firepits and most room have a nice lake view. But everything else about it is subpar. Doesn't seem like they've spent much on upgrades since it was built, the rooms are very old school. The furnishings and decorations are super old and cheap and the deck furniture is the worst. Dirty, old, cheap, broken, and uncomfortable. The "contintental breakfast" is terrible. Theres no one working the desk after 5 pm or holidays. Honestly this place is kind of a dive that they spend as little as possible on maintaining, but it happens to be in a great location so they can get away with charging 100+ a night.

My boys and I had a great time here! Loved our room view. Friendly & helpful staff & service. Walk out of your room and dive into Lake Michigan! We even built a campfire on the beach. Pits & chairs provided. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise on the lake! Great place.

I have stopped at this motel for several years and find it a nice place for a short stay. It is not perfect but the location makes it good. The rooms are musty until they've been aired out for a while, and the rugs tend to be stained. But the rooms have a great view of the lake and are clean.

Rooms and grounds are very clean. The beds are a bit hard and mostly over due to be changed. The views are Amazing. Rock beach 10ft. From your door. Staff was very courteous but claimed the rates for the Lake view where more on a Tuesday charged $97… Should of rented the room on line and saved $20. But was to tired. Overall I would stay again.

Had an amazing view of Lake Michigan on our deck. All the time coffee is pretty good. Close to marinas. Would definitely stay here again.

I actually didn't stay at the hotel, but wanted to look at the beautiful view of the water! It definitely has that and from the outside of the hotel it looked decent. Great location as well.

Wow what a view! the staff was wonderful :) this is a cozy lil place that made us out of towners feel very at home and welcomed I definitely recommend it, it was very soothing listening to the wavys, thanks for a great memory!

Place with an AMAZING view! Fire pits outside to have fire by the waterfront. Great place in a great city. Quiet and peaceful.

We always enjoy our stay at the Algoma Beach Motel. You can't beat walking right out to the beach, campfires at night, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It's a wonderful getaway! The rooms are clean, the staff members are very friendly and will go above and beyond for their guests. And with the gorgeous views, it's a fantastic place to have a wedding!

Such a fantastic location, right on the shore of Lake Michigan. Very clean.

Rooms are small but comfortable and well appointed, including a mini fridge. Continental breakfast is very limited; I would recommend bringing breakfast items with you (and taking advantage of the in room fridge). Close to Door County, where we were headed. If you just need a one night stay or a home base for exploring in the area, this is a great choice.

It's right on the big Lake, great view, fairly cost effective.

Listening to the waves hitting the Shore right outside your windows, watching the sunrise from your deck or walk from your door thru the sand to the waters edge to see the sunrise. Beautiful.

Awesome veiws, good price. Here are the highs and lows. HIGHS, nice veiw, great location. You can walk to the downtown area in minutes. LOWS, the bathrooms are not well maintained. Had mold on the shower head, paint flaking on the shower wall, and the towels are either wore out, or have holes in them. The front desk has a nice young girl 18 yo working who is very nice, but doesn't live in town and really cannot give anymore info on the local attractions than I can get on the Internet.

Bed Bugs! March 2017 — I stayed for one night and got over 50 bed bug bites.

Great stay, cheaper off season of course. $5 surcharge if you didn't turn in your plastic keys was a little weird but so long as your aware of this I recommend the place.

Went to have dinner. Enjoyed the seafood buffet. Great selection of fish, shrimp and sides. Also came with soup and salad bar. Service was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable. Have been there many times and never disappointed.

Hotel was like an old school hotel. Somewhat renovated, but still with original charm. Had no issues. Manager very friendly. Was just there to sleep and that's what we got!

Location is right on the beach. Dome, if not all, rooms have decks facing lake Michigan with great views. Staff was friendly and flexible. TV was outdated and pillows were very stiff, otherwise room was great.

Rooms are not high class or anything but perfect just what you want most time is spent on the awesome lake.

We loved our experience with Algoma Beach Motel. Rooms were clean and views were spectacular. Being able to walk out our door less than 100 ft. To the beach and build a campfire was wonderful and right up our alley! Coffee available in the lobby all day, juice and danishes available for breakfast, which was just right to hold us until we fixed our own breakfast. (Our room had a kitchenette) I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone looking for a place to stay directly on the shore of Lake Michigan.

A must stay. Make hotel Stebbins a destination. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very up to date, clean and comfortable. The price was also the best deal of our trip. Lance Neeman Lincoln Nebraska.

Beach is beautiful! room views are awesome! Staff was more than happy and helpful, rooms have a bed, ha,. That's all I need! That, and changing clothes was the only time spent in there. The private beach is beautiful, movable chairs, and fire pits so you can make your own "spot"… very happy memories were made, look forward to more in the future :)

Solidly average. I stayed here off-season as a launch pad to a football game. The view of the beach is amazing, but the rooms are kind of dated.

Good enough for a 2 night stay. Morning view was just good facing beachfront.

Stayed here one night in July, 2015. It's a great place for couples or families. That staff and owners were super friendly. The view and beach is superb. We will stay there again if we return to the area.

If I could give it a one, for Customer service I would have, they were looking for issues when I checked in. The attitude was terrible, the sub culture was just unbearable, truly, two women at the desk and one child women, all with terrible attitudes. I wouldn't send business here, room was clean, views nice, grocery store up street is pleasant, you will find some nice people there. I think they will not be here much longer. And that might be a great thing, maybe new owners. Little loud, seems like people in the place follow the sub culture and trends, and try to harass people. Wouldn't stay again, a co I worked for got me a discounted rate. No mics in room. Community room. No thanks.

THERE ARE BED BUGS IN THIS MOTEL as of our stay 8/2012. The owner Jay Patel has acknowledged inspections have confirmed the bugs are in the motel and has refused to properly treat the entire motel to get rid of them. My daughters were both bit up, one so badly she had to go on a steroid pack to relieve the inflammation and itching. Do not stay here. Mr. Patel has no interest in taking care of the bed bug infestation, nor does he want to pay to properly maintain the beach because there are also chunks of glass and major weeds on his beach front. Holes in the blankets and sheets, the utensils in the condo kitchen badly in need of updating. We have stayed at this motel for 8 years, he has been the owner for the past 2 years and the place is extremely neglected. Such a shame because the location is fantastic. Take responsibility, Mr. Patel! It needs TLC and pest control ASAP.

Very nice location. Small rooms but the best view of the lake in Door County. Don't buy their fire starter, just get them down the road.

The only good thing about the hotel is the beach behind the facility. Adirondack chairs and fire pits everywhere. Fantastic sandy beach.

Terrible customer service, accused my husband of sneaking in our little dog and me his wife, my husband made it clear before we left home he was bringing me and my dog and then when we got to the motel front desk we reassured the lady that there is three of us my husband my dog and me, a week latter we get kicked out and accused of lying, I've traveled all over the united states and never ran into any problems, I was disgusted by the customer service, on top of it the rooms smelled moldy, and everytime the wind blows it sounds like a freight train is comming through, this place needs to be condemned, I have never experienced such disgust in my whole traveling experiences.

We reserved a room without first researching it. We walking in the room and the smell was unbearable. The walls were dirty and the lamp shades were growing mold. The bathroom was stained and dirty. The back belconies were all attached with the other rooms so there was no privacy. There is no way that we could have slept in the room. I couldn't breath the smell was so bad. This place should be condemned, do NOT stay here.
