Clean, comfortable and well-prices against the other options in the area, we had a good experience here on our way back from Rushmore and the Black Hills. Parking is a little crowded, but proximity to walkable restaurant options and a gas station across the street make it a convenient stop. The front desk was quick and friendly, with lots of maps and knowledge about the area. The indoor pool was a hit with my kids, even though we got in later than we expected — they had to take a dip. The room was fine — nothing fancy, but it was clean and didn’t smell musty or smoky at all. Bathrooms about what you’d expect, but also well maintained. The breakfast bar was crowded but adequate, with waffles and fruit and an egg option. Overall, it was a good night and morning, and we left glad we’d stopped and felt like it was a good deal.

The staff member Dee who checked us in was very nice! The room was fair priced and clean. I cant rate of pool or little beakfast area as I didnt use it. I'd stay again.

The staff is nice. The room is just what we wanted for a quick trip and we were not in the room but to sleep. The pool is listed as heated, but still very cool. Good hotel for the price.

Decent place to lay your head in the Custer area, but a bit tight. Bathroom is very small. Staff is helpful and friendly.

The rooms are not too bad. Beds were not that comfortable but that could be a stipulation from corporate. My room had an enormous tub in the room. Took about 20 minutes to fill it but it was more than enough room for 2 people. Don't expect 5 star accommodations… but it's not too bad for a night's stay.

Not the worst I've stayed at. My biggest concern was once we checked in and went up to our room, I went to use the bathroom for the first time and there was dried urine splatter on the seat, which makes me wonder what else they didn't clean. When brought to the front desk staffs attention, they cleaned it immediately and were very apologetic. Other than that, our 1 night stay was fairly uneventful. Room is small with an even smaller bathroom. Walking distance for pretty much everything in town. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast wasn't bad at all.

Dee was terrific for us. Wifi was, sadly, not good. Price was fair, facilities clean and well ordered. I would recommend.

Lovely little motel with kind, friendly staff and thoughtfully put together, comfortable rooms.

Their parking lot is way too small, their over night help need to be trained better. Took us almost 30 minutes to check in. Rooms were adequate.

A friend and I stayed there in May 2017. I will always stay at this hotel any time that I am in the area from now on. Clean with a friendly staff and wonderful price point.

Great practical hotel in downtown Custer. Friendly staff, nice well maintained but older facility. It isn't the lap of luxury so don't expect it to be, but it is a clean, safe, friendly budget hotel with a great location. We were sad to leave.

Surprisingly nice accommodations, centrally located, very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was more than adequate and they have very good laundry facilities for those of us who have traveled for some time; i. E. We were on the 17 day of a 4 week vacation and desperately needed to wash clothes. Thanks for all the help.

The room was a bit small but it was very nice. Much better than I expected. There is a pool and breakfast in the morning. It is right off the Custer Trailhead for the Mickelson Trail.

Clean, friendly, very affordable, comfortable, pool (no hot tub), breakfast was decent (no hot food), can walk right across the street to the attractions on the main drag and stumble back.

Vary clean rooms, vary helpful staff. Nice location to be able to go see many sites. Had a nice relaxing night at this place. Slept vary well and had no issue at all with anything in the room.

The service was great, we were lucky we got a room let alone 3 rooms, was higher than regular price as it was bike week in Sturgis but not too high… rooms were beautiful, comfy beds, was a great stay.

Nice place! The employees are nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable (the air conditioner didn't squeak or rattle). If I'm in this area again I will use this place.

Breakfast is surprisingly okay and even has fresh watermelon. Wi-Fi is fast all be it occasionally unstable. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean.

Great location if you want to go on hikes. Close to Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. Very well priced and rooms are very clean. Staff is nice and helpful. Only two cons: Parking is very small so its hard to park. Also, their exercise room is a joke, only a treadmill and a stationary bike but neither of them work. Both of these are no biggies, park carefully and go on a run for your workout.

Decently clean, beds are pretty stiff, breakfast was breads and packaged items, better off going to a local cafe.

I was a little nervous about the low price when searching online. I called the hotel directly and spoke to the staff. The hotel is exactly as described by them. It is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly and the breakfast was good and the air conditioner worked. This is not a modern suite hotel, so don't expect a giant oversize tub and huge bathroom. I rate this hotel 5 stars because of how it compares to the other hotels in the area at this price point. You really cannot go wrong here. Plus, the line to get in to Mt. Rushmore is much quicker from this side versus the Keystone side.

Rooms are a bit older, but very clean. Staff was nice, pool was decent but good for kids to wind down. Breakfast was very simple, but is nice and quick. Walking distance to almost everything right there on the main street. My only complaint was that our room was right above the main entrance, and if people were outside visiting we could hear them pretty clearly.

It seems clean enough. The rooms aren't huge and the decor has a older natural style to it which can be a good or bad thing. My room was a bit musty at first but opening a window cleared that fast. To my room has a fridge. So far not too bad, but nothing special.

Nice place, we will stay again when in the Area. Clean and close to all the sites.

I really enjoyed my stay. I'll treasure it always because I was with my family, Dad, brother and nieces. 4 days after I returned home my Dad passed away.

I really enjoyed the EconoLodge. It was clean, rooms were nice and staff was friendly.

After the hail stopped falling a lot of the guests were wet, frustrated, and gathering around the lobby. Stage was great, ruin perfect, smiling, helpful and accommodating… Breakfast was like a family meal with friends. Would stay here again.
